Pro-American Submission of S. Korean Authorities Assailed

     Pyongyang, September 26 (KCNA) -- The Secretariat of the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Fatherland issued information bulletin No. 885 on Saturday, denouncing the despicable pro-American submission of the south Korean authorities over the issue of the withdrawal of the U.S. troops' oil pipe. The controversial oil pipe was laid in 1972 by the U.S. imperialist aggression troops in south Korea for oil transport. It was for the exclusive use of the U.S. troops extending a total of 452 km from Phohang in North Kyongsang Province to Uijongbu of Kyonggi Province.
    The U.S. troops in south Korea had used this oil pipe and handed it over to the south Korean authorities in 1992 when its days have expired.
    The south Korean public says that the astronomic amount of expenses needed for the dissolution of the old oil pipe and rehabilitation of environment can not be borne by the "tax collected from the people" and asserts that the U.S. military side should bear all the expenses as it had built and used it, the information bulletin noted, and went on:
    However, the U.S. troops stationed in south Korea are forcing south Korea to bear all the expenses and the south Korean authorities, yielding to it, are taking a pro-American submissive attitude that the government should bear the expenses for the withdrawal of the oil pipe as it had already taken it over and registered it as state property.
    This is an unpardonable criminal act of doing harm to the dignity, interests and sovereignty of the nation because it shows the aggressive and dominationist stand of the U.S. toward south Korea and the slavish position of the south Korean authorities as henchmen of a colony who cannot live a moment unless they curry favor with the U.S.

KCTU Decides to Go on General Strike

     Pyongyang, September 26 (KCNA) -- The south Korean Confederation of Trade Unions (KCTU) held a press conference on Sept. 21 and decided to go on a general strike for checking the "government's bill on protecting part-time job", according to south Korea's KBS. Referring to the unreasonableness of the bill, the organization held that if the bill is passed through, the all-time jobs of the society will decrease rapidly in a few years. It said that it decided to go on a general strike in late November to check the bill.
    Accordingly, the south Korean Federation of Metal Industry Trade Unions under the KCTU held a press conference and declared that it will enter a strike right after the government and the ruling party lay a "bill on dispatching working people" before the National Assembly.

S. Korean Policy of Opening Rice Market Protested

     Pyongyang, September 26 (KCNA) -- South Korean peasants reportedly held demonstrations of ploughing paddy fields before harvest in 22 cities and counties across south Korea including North Jolla Province, south Korean Kangwon Province, North and South Kyongsang provinces, and North and South Chungchong provinces on September 22 in protest against the authorities' policy of opening rice market. That day peasants under the south Korean Federation of Peasants Associations held a press conference in a paddy field in Solsong-myon, Richon City, Kyonggi Province.
    At the conference speakers called upon all the people to join in the struggle to protect the rice, their sovereign right and life, and block the opening of rice market, saying they will wage a persistent struggle including the one million-peasants signature campaign for the abandonment of rice harvest in the future, too.
    A press release and a memorandum on abandoning rice harvest were read out at the press conference.
    At the end of the conference the peasants ploughed paddy fields with a tractor.

     Pyongyang, September 26 (KCNA) -- The Workers' Party of Korea Publishing House has recently published posters conducive to arousing the working people and youth to the gigantic struggle for building a prosperous country. Posters "Let us become young heroes in the worthwhile struggle to glorify the Songun era!" and "Let us become performers of new miracles and feats and young heroes in building the Paektusan Songun Youth Power Station!" ardently call upon the young people across the country to bear deep in mind the pride of being young vanguard of Songun intensely loyal to leader Kim Jong Il and further exalt the honor of the shock brigade and vanguard at difficult and toil-assuming posts of socialist economic construction.
    A poster "Let's turn our villages into socialist fairyland where crops are abundant!" calls for sprucing up streets, villages and working sites with ardent patriotism and love for native places.

Kim Jong Il's Works Published in Over 100 Countries

     Pyongyang, September 26 (KCNA) -- Famous works of leader Kim Jong Il have been published and disseminated worldwide amid the deep concern of the progressive humankind from the early 1980s. According to the data available, nearly 810,000 copies of at least 60 kinds of his works have been brought out in collection and booklet by many publishing houses, political parties and organizations of over 100 countries, including the Paleya Publishing House of Russia, the Book Association Publishing House of Cuba, the Lao State Publishing House, the National Education Publishing House of Guinea, the Communist Party of Venezuela and the Group of Dialectical Materialists of Italy, for more than 20 years.
    The Enugu Publishing House of Nigeria and the All India Indo-Korean Friendship Association published works "On Preserving the Juche Character and National Character of the Revolution and Construction" and "The Juche Philosophy Is an Original Revolutionary Philosophy" in booklet. Their prefaces said the works clarifying the fundamental principle to be maintained in carrying out the popular masses' cause of independence, the cause of socialism, serve as a powerful ideological and theoretical weapon to cope with the hegemonic "globalization" of the imperialists.
    At the ceremony of releasing "On the Juche Idea", a collection of works, which carries works "On the Juche Idea", "On Some Questions in Understanding the Juche Philosophy", "Let Us Advance under the Banner of Marxism-Leninism and the Juche Idea", "On Some Problems of Education in the Juche Idea" and "On Establishing the Juche Outlook on the Revolution" the secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Kyrgyzstan said that they will study hard the works to have deeper understanding of the Juche idea and actively propagandize it.
    Collections of works and booklets published in national languages of over 40 countries have been disseminated in all parts of the five continents, evoking great repercussions from the political and public circles.
    The New Communist Party of Britain, the Genuine Lumumbist Patriotic Party of Democratic Congo, the Bangladesh People's League, the Workers' Party of Mexico and other progressive political parties of different countries convened secretariat meetings and emergency meetings to define the works as must books and action programmes. They took various steps to publish, carry and study the works so as to be disseminated among people of all social strata.
    Meanwhile, national committees and groups for the study of Kim Jong Il's works were formed in India, Democratic Congo, Denmark, Austria, Peru and many other countries and seminars and lectures on works held on hundreds of occasions every year under the sponsorship of political parties and organizations.

Unity and Cooperation Called for

     Pyongyang, September 26 (KCNA) -- The international conference of Asian political parties held in Beijing some time ago discussed the issues of regional security and multi-party cooperation, economic growth, social progress, etc., on the theme "exchange, cooperation and development" and adopted the "2004 Beijing Declaration." The spirit and success of the conference show the growing aspiration and enthusiasm of regional people to step up the building of independent and prospering new Asia by strengthening unity and cooperation, says Rodong Sinmun Sunday in a signed article.
    The Asian people are now faced with the task to realize the cause of global independence, the cause of Asian independence, the article says, and goes on: To strengthen unity and cooperation is an important guarantee for the building of independent and prospering new Asia.
    When the Asian countries strengthen unity and cooperation they are able to settle various issues including insufficient funds and resources and scientific and technological issues. In order to build new Asia it is important for all the Asian countries to achieve sincere unity and disinterested cooperation.
    All the countries can be united under the banner of friendship and cooperation irrespective of difference in ideology, system and religious belief. What is important here is to keep the principle of independence, equality and mutual respect.
    Unity and cooperation are urgently required under the condition in which the imperialists are intensifying the moves for aggression and war.
    The United States is now working hard to realize its wild ambition by way of strength while intensifying the policy of confrontation in Asia. To this end, it is building its new military bases in Asian countries and concentrating huge aggression armed forces there. Asian countries and people should get all the aggression military bases and armed forces withdrawn, which threaten peace and security in Asia.

Struggle for Withdrawal of U.S. Troops from S. Korea Called for

     Pyongyang, September 26 (KCNA) -- The people from all walks of life in south Korea should wage more dynamic struggle to get the U.S. troops withdrawn from south Korea to put an end to its military occupation for the sake of their destiny in conformity with the expectation and aspiration of the whole nation, stresses Rodong Sinmun Sunday in a signed article. The struggle to terminate the U.S. military occupation of south Korea and its policy of domination is a just patriotic struggle for the dignity and interests of the Korean nation, and its independent development cannot be expected without the struggle, the article says, and goes on:
    This struggle is a patriotic struggle to put an end to the history of the national division and achieve national reunification and a struggle to defend the peace of the country and the security of the nation.
    The Korean nation had waged a bloody struggle for national reunification, aspiring after it even in dream, and eventually opened the era of the June 15 joint declaration as it could not sustain any longer the painful misfortune and sufferings, disgrace and tragedy imposed by the U.S. imperialists.
    Nevertheless, the U.S. occupationist forces are remaining in south Korea under the signboard of the "U.N. forces", putting the brake in national reconciliation and cooperation and laying stumbling blocks in the way of national reunification. It is a prerequisite for reunification and a patriotic struggle for the supreme interests of the nation to drive out of this land the U.S. imperialist aggression troops which are interfering and obstructing the patriotic reunification movement of the Korean nation against their loud-mouthed advertisement of "peace" and "reunification" of the Korean peninsula.
    The situation on the Korean peninsula is reaching a very dangerous pitch at which a war may break out any moment. It is clear that if a war breaks out on this land owing to the reckless military provocation of the U.S. imperialist bellicose elements, it will immediately turn into a nuclear war and impose unpredictable disasters upon the Koreans in the north and the south.
    It is self-evident that the peace of the country and the security of the nation cannot be defended as long as the U.S. imperialist aggression troops remain in this land, now that the U.S. criminal attempt to unleash a second war for aggression in the Korean peninsula at any cost has become clear and the movement of the U.S. imperialist aggression troops stationed in south Korea, its field executor, is reaching a reckless stage.

Japan's Moves for Overseas Aggression Blasted

     Pyongyang, September 26 (KCNA) -- Japan is letting out a stream of words that it should relax the "restraint of arms buildup and three principles of arms export" and re-prescribe the overseas activity of its "Self-Defense Forces" as its main duty, not offbeat one at present. In this regard, the advisory body of the Japanese prime minister totally revised the present "plan for fundamental defense capability" based on the "exclusive defense" policy and decided to present to the prime minister an inclusive "report on defense", which deals with such issues of introducing long-range large transport planes necessary for overseas dispatch of the SDF and providing legal conditions for possible production of the missile defense system under Japan-U.S. joint research.
    This fully proves that Japan is trying to change the concept of "defense", which it has superficially maintained in the course of realizing its ambition to become a military giant, into an offensive one and openly convert the SDF into armed forces for overseas invasion. Minju Joson Sunday says this in a signed commentary.
    Referring to the fact that Japan is now readjusting the main structure of the Ground SDF allegedly to cope with attacks and surprise strikes and thus prevent "terrorism" and "infiltration of commandoes", the commentary goes on:
    Japan's desperate military moves under the pretext of coping with "terrorism" are none other than a serious challenge to the aspiration of the international community after the peace and stability of Northeast Asia as they are a manifestation of its ambition for militaristic overseas invasion.
    It is the basic objective of Japan to paint itself as a war state at an early date by realizing its long-cherished ambition for militaristic overseas expansion and conversion into a military power, availing itself of the global trend of "anti-terrorism".
    It is not difficult to guess what holocaust Asia and the rest of the world would suffer if Japan, which is fervent with revenging itself on its defeat in the Second World War, provokes a war of overseas invasion after having complete offensive capability.
    It is as clear as noon day that the Korean peninsula would be the first target of Japan's attack for overseas invasion. Accordingly, the DPRK is watching the recent military moves of Japan with high vigilance and cannot but get fully ready to cope with them.
    Japan should immediately stop its political rashness hastening its self-destruction.

Appeal on Situation Published in S. Korea

     Pyongyang, September 25 (KCNA) -- The south Korean Federation of University Student Councils reportedly held an emergency meeting on September 20 at which an appeal on the situation to the youth and students was published. It is the task of all the three million students to put an end to the division of the nation caused by outsiders and the anti-reunification moves of the conservative forces, the appeal noted, and continued:
    Though we live in different places and environment, we of the same blood, have seen sovereignty wantonly violated by outsiders, subject to their ceaseless aggression and plunder. The students have been well aware of the fact that it is the United States that threatens the security of the nation.
    Noting that the "Security Law" is an anti-reunification law aimed to hamstring all efforts for the reunification of the country, it called for getting the SL abolished and usher in a new era, the era of reunification.
    It also called upon the students to turn out as one in the struggle to achieve the national independence and national reunification and implement the June 15 joint declaration.

Solidarity Society for Withdrawal of U.S. Troops Formed in S. Korea

     Pyongyang, September 25 (KCNA) -- The Anti-U.S., Anti-War Solidarity Society for the Withdrawal of the U.S. Troops from South Korea was reportedly formed with due ceremony at Sogang University in Seoul on Sept. 21. Speakers at the ceremony stressed that they have formed the society to make 2005 a year for the withdrawal of the U.S. troops, a year of national reunification.
    A working orientation of the society was published at the ceremony.
    The organization said it would wage the struggle to shatter the moves for a nuclear war against the north, oppose troops dispatch and arms buildup and abolish the U.S. military bases in close combination with the massive struggle to get the U.S. troops withdrawn from south Korea.
    It confirmed it as its major work to publish books carrying the contents including the relocation of the U.S. troops, the issue of the Korean peninsula, the history of the U.S. troops' crimes and their withdrawal and conduct the work for policy study and information activities for the people such as seminar on the issue of the U.S. troops and opening of homepage for their withdrawal.
    It published its working plan carrying the contents such as the operation of the day of the action to get the U.S. troops withdrawn from south Korea once in a week and intensive struggle, information activities in street, the struggle for traveling the U.S. military bases across south Korea and candlelight cultural festival once in a month.

Peaceful Reunification of Korea Supported by Czech President

     Pyongyang, September 25 (KCNA) -- We support the efforts of the Korean people for reunification and hope that Korea would be reunified peacefully. Czech President Vaclav Klaus said this when receiving credentials from DPRK Ambassador e. p. to the Czech Republic Ri Pyong Gap on Tuesday.
    The president added that the relations between the two countries are now favorably developing and the two countries aspire after the development of the relations and have a brisk exchange of delegations.

Total Abolition of SL Urged

     Pyongyang, September 25 (KCNA) -- The Democratic Workers' Party of south Korea called for the total abolition of the "Security Law" (SL), the law belonging to the old era, according to south Korean KBS. Pak Yong Jin, a spokesman for the party, in a commentary expressed concern over the fact that the Grand National Party and the Uri Party are going to rename the SL in the form of the "substitute legislation" and leave its poisonous articles untouched.
    This is a sheer deception without any justification, he said, stressing that the total abolition of the SL is the only way of putting the society on a new stage.

Anniversary of Kim Jong Il's Work Observed

     Pyongyang, September 25 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun Saturday dedicates an article to the 17th anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's celebrated work on vigorously advancing along the road of socialism under the uplifted banner of anti-imperialist struggle. The article says: The work was published on September 25, Juche 76 (1987).
    It calls for vigorously advancing along the road of socialism under the uplifted banner of anti-imperialist struggle as required by the prevailing complicated situation of the revolution. It clarifies on a scientific basis the serious political and economic crisis of bluffing modern imperialism, the issue of its inevitable ruin and issues arising in increasing the driving force of revolution. The period since the publication of the work was one of the proud struggle in which the cause of socialism advanced victoriously under the banner of anti-imperialist struggle and the validity of Kim Jong Il's ideas and theories and the greatness of his leadership have been clearly proved.
    He set out the theory and strategy and tactics of awakening and organizing masses and training core elements among them to suit the changed situation and conditions in recent years, thus strengthening and developing the revolutionary forces.
    He made a deep analysis of the socio-class relations and on this basis set out the idea and theory of organizing the revolutionary forces with the People's Army as a core force and a driving force on the principle of placing the army before the working class. This serves as immortal guidelines in drastically augmenting the driving force of the revolution.
    Today the banner of Songun held aloft by him serves as the most powerful weapon in the present anti-imperialist, anti-U.S. struggle. Lo suscribieron el vicecanciller coreano Kung Sok Ung y el subjefe del Departamento General encargado del Asia y el Medio Oriente del MINREX de Sudafrica, Anil Sooklal.

PTD demanda anulacion completa de maligna ley

     Pyongyang, 25 de septiembre (ATCC) -- Segun la radio "KBS" del Sur de Corea, el Partido de Trabajadores Democraticos (PTD) sostuvo la abolicion completa de la anticuada "ley de seguridad". El vocero del PTD Pak Yong Jin publico un comentario individual expresando una preocupacion de que el "Partido Hannara" y el "Partido Uri" planean cambiar solo el nombre de la "ley de seguridad" en forma de "legislacion alternativa" y dejar intacto el articulo pernicioso. Esto es un engano injusto, prosiguio y subrayo que "solo la abolicion completa de la ley de seguridad puede llevar a la sociedad a una etapa mas alta".

Presidente de Checo se refiere a reunificacion pacifica de Corea

     Pyongyang, 25 de septiembre (ATCC) -- Ri Pyong Gap presento el dia 21 a Vaclav Klaus, presidente de la Republica de Checo sus cartas credenciales que le acreditan como nuevo embajador extraordinario y plenipotenciario de la Republica Popular Democratica de Corea en ese pais. En la ocasion el presidente apunto: en la actualidad las relaciones entre los dos paises se desarrollan favorablemente. Nuestros dos paises lo aspiran y realizan animadamente tambien el intercambio de delegaciones. Apoyamos los esfuerzos del pueblo coreano por la reunificacion y deseamos que Corea sea reunificada por via pacifica.

Rodong Sinmun conmemora aniversario de una obra

     Pyongyang, 25 de septiembre (ATCC) -- El diario Rodong Sinmun inserto el dia 25 un articulo individual dedicado al 17 aniversario de la publicacion de la obra clasica del Dirigente Kim Jong Il, que dilucida la necesidad de seguir invariablemente el camino del socialismo enarbolando la bandera de lucha antiimperialista. La obra publicada el 25 de septiembre del 76 (1987) de la Era Juche subraya la necesidad de marchar con vigor por el camino del socialismo con la bandera de lucha antiimperialista en alto conforme a la demanda de la complicada situacion de la revolucion y da dilucidacion cientifica al problema sobre la agravante crisis politico-economica del imperialismo contemporaneo fanfarron y la inevitabilidad de su derrota y al problema de preparar con firmeza las fuerzas subjetivas de la revolucion.
    El periodo desde la publicacion de la obra hasta la fecha ha sido una trayectoria de digna lucha por llevar adelante la causa del socialismo con la bandera de lucha antiimperialista en alto y los dias gloriosos en que se demostraron nitidamente la justeza de la ideologica y teoria del Dirigente y la grandeza de su direccion, senala el articulo y continua:
