South Korean Students Demand Abolition of NSL

     Pyongyang, December 6 (KCNA) -- The south Korean National Council of Girl Student Representatives reportedly issued a statement demanding the abolition of the National Security Law (NSL) on December 1. Recalling that the law had served as a means of checking the democratization of society and reunification and maintaining the power of the anti-democratic forces since its inception, the statement said its repeal would be the first step toward independent reunification and the beginning of democracy.
    The Grand National Party, which is still crying out for the maintenance of the NSL, will face a judgment by history and the Uri Party should clearly know that the abolition of the NSL is the only way of cleansing history of its stain, the statement stressed.
    The East Kyonggi Regional Federation of University Student Councils under the south Korean Federation of University Student Councils in its statement on November 30 called upon the youth and students to turn out as one in the struggle to get the NSL totally scrapped within this year.

Thorough Probe into Truth behind Secret Nuclear Development in S. Korea Demanded

     Pyongyang, December 6 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the Korean Committee for Solidarity with the World People in a statement Sunday called upon the peace-loving people of the world and international bodies and organizations to lift up louder voices demanding a thorough probe into the truth behind the secret nuclear development of south Korea and a total stop to it. The statement said:
    Recently, the International Atomic Energy Agency covered up south Korea's secret experiments of nuclear substances under the manipulation of the United States. This stripped bare once again the true colors of the U.S. which is resorting to high-handed, outrageous and unilateral practices without hesitation, styling itself a police officer and a judge in the international arena, and the ugly sight of the IAEA which has been reduced to a dyed-in-the-wool servant of the U.S. paying no heed to justice, impartiality, international law and world opinion.
    The nuclear development of south Korea which has been carried on for decades with the patronage of the U.S. was obviously based on the latter's nuclear war strategy and it poses a grave threat to the peace on the Korean Peninsula and the rest of the world and the destiny of the Korean nation and the security of humankind.
    The statement called upon the world people aspiring after independence and peace to unite and resolutely reject any attempt to turn the world into a unipolar world dominated by the U.S.

Seminar on Kim Jong Il's Work Held in Mexico

     Pyongyang, December 6 (KCNA) -- A seminar on the famous work of leader Kim Jong Il "The Juche Philosophy Is an Original Revolutionary Philosophy" was held at the Mexican Institute for the Study of the Juche Idea on November 27. The chairman of the institute said the Juche philosophy is, indeed, a new and original philosophy as it raises the relationship between man and the world, man's position and role in the world, as the fundamental matter of philosophy and expounds from a new angle the philosophical principle that man is the master of everything and that he decides everything.
    Noting that the validity and vitality of the Juche idea has been fully displayed in the Korean revolution, he said the idea is being widely disseminated today in Asia, Africa, America and other parts of the world.

Message of Sympathy to Slovak President

     Pyongyang, December 6 (KCNA) -- Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly, sent a message of sympathy to Ivan Gasparovic, president of Slovakia, on December 3. The message expressed deep sympathy to the president and, through him, to the residents of the afflicted area as regards the strong hurricane that hit Tatra area of Slovakia, causing serious damage.
    The message wished the president and the government of Slovakia success in the efforts to remove the consequences of the disaster at an early date and stabilize the life of the residents.

Certificate on Registration of Kimjongilia as New Variety of Begonia Family Displayed

     Pyongyang, December 6 (KCNA) -- A certificate on the registration of immortal flower Kimjongilia as a new variety of the begonia family at the International Society for Horticultural Science (ISHS) and other new materials were put on display at the Kimilsungia - Kimjongilia Exhibition standing on the bank of the Taedong River here. The Korean Kimilsungia-Kimjongilia Committee put on display at the Immortal Flower Information Room of the exhibition the certificate which says the U.S. Begonia Society formally registered Kimjongilia as a new variety No. 991, authorized by the ISHS, a copy of the magazine of the society and a ribbon symbolic of the first place awarded to Kimjongilia at the Begonia Show held in the U.S. recently.
    The magazine introduces the biological characteristics of the flower, stressing that the flower goes by the august name of Kim Jong Il, the great leader of the DPRK.
    It also carries an article saying that the flower was awarded top prizes at the 12th International Flower Show and the China 99 Kunming World Horticultural Expo as well as a photo of the flower in full bloom.

Greetings to President of European Commission

     Pyongyang, December 6 (KCNA) -- Pak Pong Ju, premier of the DPRK Cabinet, sent a message of greetings to Jose Manuel Barroso, president of the European Commission. The message extended congratulations to the president on his assumption of office as president of the newly formed commission and, through him, to its new members of the EC.
    Expressing the belief that the relations between the DPRK and the European Union would continue to develop favorably in his tenure, the message wished him success in his responsible work.

Greetings to EC Member for Development and Humanitarian Aid

     Pyongyang, December 6 (KCNA) -- Paek Nam Sun, minister of Foreign Affairs, sent a message of greetings to Louis Michel on his assumption of office as member for development and humanitarian aid of the European Commission. The message said the development and humanitarian aid of the European Union was making a substantial contribution to the development of relations between the European Union and other countries and to the realization of multipolorization of the world.
    Expressing thanks to the EU for the lot of help it had rendered to the DPRK in the past period, the message hoped that the cooperation between the DPRK and the EU would continue to develop favorably and wished him success in his responsible work.

Extraordinary Meeting of Co-Chairmen of Pomminryon Presidium Held

     Pyongyang, December 6 (KCNA) -- An extraordinary meeting of the co-chairmen of the Presidium of the National Alliance for the Country's Reunification (Pomminryon) was held on Dec. 5 by fax among the co-chairmen in the north, the south and abroad. Discussed at the meeting were immediate tasks facing the Pomminryon organizations. There was introduced, to begin with, the joint press release made public at the working-level contact of representatives of Koreans from the north, the south and overseas held in Mt. Kumgang on Nov. 24.
    A special resolution titled "Let us make significant 2005 the year of independent reunification by upholding and carrying through the June 15 joint declaration" was adopted at the meeting.
    The resolution reviewed the brilliant successes achieved in the north, the south and overseas in the movement for national reunification in 2004.
    Stating that Pomminryon would make every possible effort to make significant 2005 the year of independent reunification and the year of the withdrawal of the U.S. forces from south Korea, it said: To this end, national cooperation should be definitely realized under the banner of the June 15 joint declaration and the anti-U.S. movement for the reunification of the country be waged on a nation-wide scale against the U.S. moves for a war.
    Saying the Songun force of the north is a force of the nation to prevent a war on the Korean Peninsula and defend the nation, the resolution called for waging a nation-wide struggle for the withdrawal of the U.S. forces, the principal criminal seeking a war on the peninsula, by pooling the Songun force of the north and the force against the U.S. and for independence in the south.
    As a practical step, we will form "the North-South Joint Measure Committee for the Withdrawal of the U.S. Forces" at an early date to launch into the struggle for making 2005 practically the year of the withdrawal of the U.S. forces and will successfully hold a national joint function marking the 5th anniversary of the publication of the joint declaration and an August 15 reunification function as grand national festivals for reunification while striving to strengthen national cooperation, the resolution declared.
    It underlined the need to make vehement efforts to have Pomminryon legalized through the abolition of the "National Security Law" and further develop the nationwide movement for reunification by realizing three-party cooperation on a high level and hold the 9th meeting of the co-chairmen of the Pomminryon Presidium with the gathering of those in the north, the south and abroad at one place next year.

Year of Epochal Significance in DPRK-China Friendship

     Pyongyang, December 6 (KCNA) -- This is a historic year in which the DPRK-China friendship has strengthened still further. The unofficial visit of leader Kim Jong Il to China in April marked a new milestone in the development of the bilateral friendship.
    During the visit, he met and had talks with Hu Jintao.
    At the talks, held in a cordial and friendly atmosphere, the two leaders exchanged their views and reached a consensus on the issue of further developing the relations between the two parties and two countries and important international issues of common concern.
    The deeply rooted friendship between the DPRK and China has been carried forward by their leaders through generations.
    President Kim Il Sung, along with Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai and Deng Xiaoping, provided the historic foundation of the DPRK-China friendship and developed it with a strong sense of revolutionary obligation and fraternity.
    Kim Jong Il's unofficial visit demonstrated the steadfast will of the Workers' Party and government of Korea to further develop the friendship with China.
    The mutual visits of high-level delegations of the two countries this year have further cemented the bilateral relations.
    A DPRK delegation headed by Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly, paid an official goodwill visit to China in October which marked the 55th anniversary of the opening of the diplomatic relations between the two countries. This once again demonstrated the invariable stand of the Party and government of Korea to carry forward the friendship.
    A delegation of the International Liaison Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China led by Wang Jiarui, head of the department visited the DPRK in January, Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing and his party in March and a party and government delegation of China headed by Li Changchun, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the C.C., CPC, in September.
    The two countries also exchanged delegations of various levels in the political, economic, military and cultural fields, deepening the bilateral friendship.
    The Chinese government has donated the Taean Friendship Glass Factory and other things to the DPRK this year.

Anti-U.S. Sentiments Grow Stronger in DPRK

     Pyongyang, December 6 (KCNA) -- Anti-U.S. sentiments are growing stronger among the people of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. The U.S. imperialists' moves to stifle the DPRK under the groundless pretext of "nuclear", "human rights" and "religious" issues have enraged the Korean servicemen and people.
    They, after working out "Operation Plan 5027-04", a new war scenario against the DPRK, are now intensifying blackmail and pressure on it. This only makes the Korean people's anti-U.S. sentiments stronger.
    A large number of people visit museums which house materials and relics showing brutalities committed by the U.S. imperialists in the country during the Korean war.
    Among them are the Sinchon Museum in South Hwanghae Province and the monument to the sinking of the U.S. aggression ship "General Sherman" and its armed spy ship "Pueblo" on the River Taedong flowing through Pyongyang.
    All the exhibits disclose in all nakedness that the U.S. imperialists have perpetrated all manner of crimes against the Korean nation through centuries.
    Meanwhile, mass media frequently edit articles condemning the U.S. imperialists as the arch enemy of the Korean people and televise films exposing their blood-stained history of aggression.

U.S. Scenario of Nuclear Preemptive Strike Disclosed

     Pyongyang, December 6 (KCNA) -- The International Strategic Institute in London recently disclosed the shocking fact that the U.S. had worked out a new war scenario envisaging that the U.S. forces would launch into an operation based on naval and air strikes and use tactical nuclear weapons in case of an "emergency" on the Korean Peninsula. To put it more concretely, it would deploy a carrier flotilla in deep sea and mount a precision missile attack on strategic vantages of the DPRK while making aerial strikes simultaneously from the U.S. mainland and U.S. military bases overseas.
    Commenting on this, a Rodong Sinmun analyst Monday says:
    The U.S. pays lip service to a peaceful diplomatic solution to the nuclear issue on the Korean Peninsula, babbling that it has no intention to invade north Korea. But what it seeks in practice is not a peaceful solution to the issue but the realization of its strategy of preemptive nuclear attack and its wild ambition for aggression against the DPRK.
    The U.S. is watching for a chance for a preemptive nuclear attack on the DPRK after winding up preparations for a nuclear war to stifle the latter behind the scene of the six-party talks. What remains to be done by it is to find a pretext for a nuclear war.
    The recently disclosed nuclear war scenario presupposing the use of tactical nuclear weapons is a living proof that it is keen on inventing a justification for the provocation of a nuclear war.
    It is a mistake for the U.S. to try to carry into practice at any cost its design to stifle the DPRK with nuclear weapons by a long-range preemptive attack based on its "experiences" in the Iraqi and Afghan wars.
    Nuclear weapons and option of a preemptive attack are not monopoly of the U.S. The army and people of the DPRK possessed of powerful self-defensive deterrent are never frightened by the U.S. long-rang preemptive attack and nuclear war moves.

     Pyongyang, 6 de diciembre (ATCC) -- En la Exposicion Permanente de Kimilsungia y Kimjongilia situada a la orilla del rio Taedong de esta capital fueron exhibidos nuevos datos, inclusive el certificado de registro oficial de la flor inmortal Kimjongilia por la Sociedad Internacional de Horticultura (SIH) como una nueva especie de la familia de begonia. El Comite Coreano de Kimilsungia y Kimjongilia expuso en la "Sala de propaganda de flor inmortal" de la misma Exposicion el certificado de Kimjongilia registrada oficialmente con el numero serial 991 en la Sociedad de Begonia de EE.UU. por encargo de la SIH, los articulos de la revista-organo oficial de esta entidad floricola estadounidense y la cinta del primer lugar otorgada a Kimjongilia en la Exposicion de Begonias efectuada hace poco en Estados Unidos.
    La revista da a conocer las propiedades biologicas de Kimjongilia y subraya que se trata de la flor bautizada con el nombre de Kim Jong Il, gran Dirigente de la Republica Popular Democratica de Corea.

Reunion de copresidencia provisional de APRP

     Pyongyang, 6 de diciembre (ATCC) -- Tuvo lugar el dia 5 por transmision facsimilar entre el Norte, Sur y ultramar la reunion de la copresidencia provisional de la Alianza Pannacional por la Reunificacion de la Patria (APRP). En ella fueron discutidas las tareas inmediatas de las organizaciones de la APRP.
    Ante todo, se dio a conocer el comunicado comun publicado en el contacto de trabajo de los delegados del Norte, el Sur de Corea y en ultramar, efectuado el 24 de noviembre ultimo en el monte Kumgang.
    Y fue aprobada la resolucion especial intitulada "Defendamos y ejecutemos estrictamente la Declaracion Conjunta del 15 de Junio para hacer del significado 2005 el ano de la reunificacion independiente".
    El documento hace balance de los brillantes exitos del movimiento por la reunificacion de la patria logrados en 2004 en el Norte, el Sur y en ultramar.
    Segun el documento, la APRP hara todos sus esfuerzos por hacer del 2005 el ano de la reunificacion independiente y de la retirada de las tropas estadounidenses. Para este fin debe realizar con firmeza la cooperacion nacional con la bandera de la citada declaracion en alto y desarrollar el movimiento pannacional antiyanqui por la reunificacion de la patria frente a las maniobras belicas de EE.UU.
    Las fuerzas del Songun (priorizacion militar) del Norte constituyen fuerzas nacionales para evitar la guerra en toda la extension de la Peninsula Coreana y defender a la nacion. Hay que juntar estas fuerzas del Norte y las antiyanqui e independientes del Sur para desplegar la lucha de toda la nacion por retirar a las tropas yanquis, promotor de las maniobras de guerra en la Peninsula Coreana, subraya la resolucion.
    Se debe constituir cuanto antes el "Comite de medidas comunes del Norte y el Sur de Corea por la retirada de las tropas norteamericanas" para desplegar la lucha por hacer del 2005 el ano de la retirada de estas tropas, efectuar con solemnidad el acto comun por el 5 aniversario de la publicacion de la Declaracion Conjunta del 15 de Junio y la actividad del 15 de agosto como grandes certamenes nacionales de toda la nacion para la reunificacion y fortalecer la cooperacion nacional, remarca.
    Se debe esforzarse activamente por eliminar la "ley de seguridad" y legalizar la APRP, realizar en el nivel altisimo la solidaridad tripartita para desarrollar aun mas el movimiento pannacional por la reunificacion y efectuar el ano proximo la novena reunion de la copresidencia del Norte, el Sur y en ultramar, enfatiza el documento.

Educacion antiyanqui y clasista en Corea

     Pyongyang, 6 de diciembre (ATCC) -- En Corea se desarrolla animadamente la labor para armar a los trabajadores con la conciencia antiyanqui y clasista. Las maniobras de EE.UU. encaminadas a aplastar la Republica Popular Democratica de Corea acusandola de "problema nuclear, el de derechos humanos y el de religion" suscitan una vehemente indignacion de los militares y otros trabajadores de distintos sectores.
    EE.UU. elaboro el temerario "plan operacional 5027-04" para el ataque a la RPDC y arrecia mas que nunca la presion y el chantaje a esta, lo que motiva elevar la conciencia antiyanqui y clasista del pueblo coreano.
    Se organiza en varias ocasiones la visita a los centros de educacion clasista que exhiben las muestras de atrocidades de los imperialistas yanquis en Corea.
    Incesantes visitas al Museo de Sinchon, la lapida de hundimiento del barco pirata norteamericano "Sherman" a la orilla del rio Taedong, el barco espia armado "Pueblo" de EE.UU., son una prueba de que los imperialistas norteamericanos son enemigos jurados que de siglo en siglo cometieron crimenes contra la nacion coreana.
    En estos dias, se intensifica la educacion antiyanqui a medida que se tornan abiertas las maquinaciones de penetracion ideo-cultural de los EE.UU. en la RPDC.
    Se desarrolla la educacion clasista de diversas formas y metodos como las reuniones de canciones y determinaciones, la conferencia explicativa movil, la oratoria, el encuentro con las victimas en el periodo de la Guerra de Liberacion de la Patria, la presentacion de las impresiones sobre las peliculas con tema de educacion clasista, funcion artistica a fin de lograr que el pueblo coreano con una firme conciencia antiyanqui y clasista se levante en la batalla de confrontacion con EE.UU.
    Los medios de prensa insertan los articulos que se refieren a que los imperialistas norteamericanos son enemigos jurados y divulgan las peliculas que revelan la historia de agresion de estos.
    Los yanquis deben darse clara cuenta de la firme conciencia clasista del ejercito y el pueblo de Corea y actuar con prudencia.
