NDFSK Assails U.S. Adventurous War Moves

     Pyongyang, December 7 (KCNA) -- The Central Committee of the National Democratic Front of south Korea (NDFSK) issued a statement denouncing the U.S. for its adventurous war moves on December 3, according to Internet site Kuguk Jonson. Referring to the fact that the U.S. has mapped out reckless war scenarios against the north at different phases and pushed ahead with the war moves to put the scenarios into practice in a premeditated manner over the last scores of years, the statement goes on:
    These operational plans include "OPLAN 5030," "OPLAN 5027," and "OPLAN 5029", a chain of the phased-out anti-north war scenarios.
    Those anti-north war scenarios clearly indicate the persistent and vicious nature of the U.S. arrogant moves to stifle the north by force and swallow up the whole of the Korean Peninsula.
    This is clearly evidenced by the fact that the U.S. has massively deployed new type ultra-modern war equipment in and around the Korean Peninsula and ceaselessly staged "RSOI," "Foal Eagle" and "Ulji Focus Lens-04" drills and other large-scale anti-north war exercises in the air and sea and on the land, driving the situation on the peninsula to the brink of a war.
    If the U.S. truly wants peace and a peaceful settlement of the nuclear issue on the peninsula it should immediately withdraw its hostile policy towards the DPRK and scrap all the dangerous anti-DPRK war scenarios.
    The people from all walks of life should turn out as one in the anti-U.S., anti-war struggle to prevent the disaster of war and safeguard peace and security through the national cooperation in order to cope with the serious situation on the peninsula which is inching close to the brink of a war hour by hour due to the U.S.

KPA under Supreme Commandership of Kim Jong Il Praised in Czech Republic

     Pyongyang, December 7 (KCNA) -- Round-table talks took place in Mlada Boleslav, the Czech Republic, on the occasion of the 13th anniversary of Kim Jong Il's assumption of the supreme commandership of the Korean People's Army (KPA). Jiri Jarka, chairman of the Paektusan Czech-Korean Friendship Association, said at the talks that the KPA, heir to the glorious traditions of the anti-Japanese armed struggle waged by President Kim Il Sung, has grown to be invincible forces which even the U.S. styling itself the only superpower in the world dares not provoke, and to be a main force of the revolution successfully undertaking not only the duty to defend the country but any difficult tasks for socialist construction thanks to the Songun policy pursued by Kim Jong Il.
    He stressed that socialism would steadily advance in the DPRK, undeterred, as long as it is defended by the KPA under the supreme commandership of Kim Jong Il.
    Member of the Chamber of Deputies in the Parliament Stanislav Grolspic noted he was deeply impressed by the fact that the Korean people have made great successes in socialist construction, united close around Kim Jong Il despite the evermore pronounced U.S. hostile policy toward their country.
    The Communist Party of Bohemia and Moravia will extend support and solidarity to the Korean people in their struggle for national reunification and do a lot in the Parliament, too, to be helpful to the development of the relations with the DPRK and positively cooperative with it, he noted.

Bangladeshi President Refers to Its Relations with DPRK

     Pyongyang, December 7 (KCNA) -- We will develop the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries including the issues of steadily expanding the ties of economic cooperation, making brisk exchange of delegations in fields of education and culture and developing cooperation at the UN and other international fora. Bangladeshi President Iajuddin Ahmed said this when receiving credentials from DPRK Ambassador e.p. to Bangladesh Mun Song Mo on November 30.
    The president hoped that the Korean people would implement the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration under the leadership of Kim Jong Il to achieve the peaceful reunification of the country.

Meeting of General Onward March for Songun Revolution to Be Held

     Pyongyang, December 7 (KCNA) -- A meeting of the general onward march for the Songun revolution will be held in Pyongyang early in February next year, 10 years after the Workers' Party of Korea started pursuing the great Songun policy. The meeting will review the successes and experience gained in the last decade and discuss the tasks for more dynamically accelerating the grand march to accomplish the WPK's Juche-oriented Songun revolutionary cause and ways to do so.
    It will be attended by servicepersons, officials and working people who have performed heroic feats in defending the country and building a great prosperous powerful socialist nation while resolutely smashing the imperialists' vicious moves to isolate and stifle the DPRK through the drive to devotedly implement the Party's Songun policy.
    It will be a historic meeting as it will mark a new milestone in conveying the WPK's glorious history of the Songun revolution and its Songun leadership exploits to posterity and encouraging the whole party, all the servicepersons and people to turn out in the general onward march for the Songun revolution on the occasion of the 60th anniversaries of the WPK and the country's liberation.

Settlement of Issue of "Comfort Women" for Imperial Japanese Army Urged

     Pyongyang, December 7 (KCNA) -- Various organizations in south Korea made public working plans for 2005 for finding a settlement of the issue of the "comfort women" for the imperial Japanese army. They envisage "a million-signature campaign for international solidarity," meetings and information service. Members of the Council for the Solution of the Issue of the Volunteers Corps on Dec. 1 called a press conference at the education hall of the council for the above-said purpose and made public those working plans.
    Speakers at the press conference referred to the fact that diverse movements for the settlement of the issue are now under way worldwide. They called for more vigorously conducting solidarity actions demanding Japan's formal apology to the victims and so on.
    The press conference was attended by representatives of an international women's organization and women's organizations of seven countries for the settlement of the issue of "comfort women" for the Japanese army including the Philippines, the Netherlands and Indonesia.

Deployment of U.S. Patriot Missiles Flailed

     Pyongyang, December 7 (KCNA) -- The South Headquarters of the National Alliance for the Country's Reunification on December 1 reportedly made public a statement headlined "We vehemently denounce the deployment of Patriot missiles in Kwangju, the U.S. war moves". The statement said that the relocation of the U.S. troops in south Korea including the deployment of the U.S. Patriot missile unit in Kwangju is the process of preparations for a preemptive nuclear attack on the north and a dangerous action seeking to plunge the whole Korean Peninsula and the entire Korean nation into the holocaust of a nuclear war.
    The south and the north cannot be different before the war threat posed by the outside forces, the statement said, stressing: We should put an end to the disgraceful history of 60 years of the U.S. military occupation with the concerted efforts of our nation itself.

South Korean Students Urged to Take Lead in Fight for Abolition of NSL

     Pyongyang, December 7 (KCNA) -- Members of the Central Standing Committee of the South Korean Federation of University Student Councils (Hanchongryon) made public an appeal on December 3, calling upon the youth and students to take the lead in the fight for the repeal of the "National Security Law" by their uninterrupted practical action. Members of the organization have been on a hunger strike for over 30 days in demand of the total repeal of the NSL, the appeal said, adding: The anti-reunification forces headed by the Grand National Party are kicking and struggling to keep the evil law and the Uri Party is behaving against the will of the people.
    Victory is certain as long as there is the strength of the people aspiring after reunification and there are our students who have always fought in the van of the struggle for the demands of the times and the nation, the appeal stated.
    Meanwhile, the Seoul District Federation of University Student Councils under Hanchongryon on December 1 issued a statement titled "Let's put an end to the disgraceful history of 56 years and proudly greet a new society and the era of independent reunification".
    For 56 years since its enactment the NSL has been applied to suppressing human rights, holding down the freedom of thought and crudely trampling on the desire of the 70 million fellow countrymen for reunification, said the statement.
    Never before has the people's fervor for the abolition of the NSL surged into such a high tide as today, noted the statement, calling upon all the students to turn out in the fight for the repeal of the NSL.

Japan's Moves Harassing Peace and Stability in Northeast Asia under Fire

     Pyongyang, December 7 (KCNA) -- Japan in a new defence program termed the DPRK, China and Russia untransparent and unstable elements in the way of ensuring regional security. Commenting on this, Rodong Sinmun Tuesday brands Japan as a dangerous force of aggression harassing peace and stability in Northeast Asia. The designation of the DPRK and countries around it as unstable and untransparent elements by the Japanese reactionaries discloses more glaringly the despicable true colors of those who are accustomed to pulling up others to attain their militarist purpose, the commentary says, and goes on:
    By misleading public opinion by the above-said allegation, the Japanese military authorities seek to justify their scheme to convert the country into a military giant and get into full stride in promoting it and thereby hold the hegemonic position in Northeast Asia. They also seek to pressurize and contain their neighboring countries and realize their ambition for military expansion.
    While equipping the SDF with modern, large-size and long-range weapons, the Japanese reactionaries are working round the clock to secure a legal foundation whereby to launch into an overseas aggression through the total mobilization of material and manpower potentials of the country.
    Their maneuvers to include an article allowing Japan to take part in armed actions in the constitution to be revised prompt us to guess to what a stage they have gone in their moves for overseas aggression.
    And they are putting fresh muscles into the "Japan-U.S. security alliance" under the pretext of coping with threat in Northeast Asia. What they seek in this is to realize with the U.S. backing their design for the "Greater East Asia Co-prosperity Sphere" which they failed to realize in the past.
    The Japanese militarists' reckless moves for military expansion under the pretext of "coping with threat" are escalating instability in Northeast Asia and increasing the danger of war there.
    The Japanese reactionaries should bear in mind that their frantic acts for military expansion overseas is a suicidal act that will hasten their own destruction.

Japan's Moves to Emerge Military Giant under Fire

     Pyongyang, December 7 (KCNA) -- The director general of the Japan Defence　Agency during his recent U.S. junket expressed its intention to put the　missile defense system (MD) now in the process of Japan-U.S. joint　technological research on a production line. Almost timed to coincide with this, the Mitsubishi Heavy Industry Company　of Japan and the Lockeed Martin Company of the U.S. concluded a patent　contract on producing PAC- 3, main component of the MD. Under this contract　Japan will start a serial production of PAC-3 next year and this type of　missiles will be deployed in Japan in real earnest from the fiscal 2008.
    In another development, Japan additionally dispatched 200 servicemen of its　Ground "Self-Defense Force" to Iraq under the mask of "volunteers for Iraqi　reconstruction."
    Commenting on the recent military moves of Japan, Minju Joson Tuesday says　this is a grave development as it means an important step forward in its bid　to emerge a military giant and part of the moves to realize its militarist　ambition for overseas invasion.
    The news analyst continues:
    Japan paints the MD as mere means to protect the security of the country　from someone's "missile threat." But its real purpose is to have in place as　early as possible military means to invade other countries.
    Japan's dispatch of its GSDF to Iraq despite risk is not a separate issue.
    It takes the U.S. military presence in Iraq as the best opportunity for　massively dispatching the SDF overseas in a bid to have its right to　military operation overseas recognized internationally and make it practice　to conduct such operations in the future.
    This should be censured as an act of dampening humankind's desire for peace　and deserves the world peace-loving people's curse and condemnation.
    The Japanese reactionaries are well advised not to rashly act, pondering　over the catastrophic consequences to be entailed by their militarist moves　for overseas aggression.

Sinister Actions of U.S. and IAEA Accused

     Pyongyang, December 7 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the Korean National Peace　Committee issued a statement on Dec. 6 denouncing the United States for　escalating its stand-off with the DPRK over its "nuclear issue" and the　International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) for acting its servant in a bid to　cover up the dangerous nuclear issue of south Korea. The statement said:
    The IAEA made such unfair decision to hush up south Korea's issue of secret　nuclear experiments the way it thinks fit entirely under the U.S. backstage　wirepulling and pressure and due to the south Korean authorities lobbying　operation.
    In order to achieve peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula, it is　necessary to probe the truth about south Korea's nuclear development and not　to tolerate the U.S. self-righteous double standards and arbitrary practices　under any circumstances.
    Without doing this it is not possible to expect the denuclearization of the　Korean Peninsula and any improvement in the inter-Korean relations nor is it　possible to ensure peace in Asia and the rest of the world.
    The U.S. and the IAEA should stop such arrogant actions as applying double　standards as regards the nuclear issue and acting international judges.
    The statement expressed the belief that the south Korean people of all　strata would clearly see through the danger of the nuclear experiments　conducted by the south Korean authorities under the U.S. protection and turn　out in a dynamic struggle to frustrate the reckless moves of the U.S. and　its allies for a nuclear war to bring its disaster to the peninsula.

U.S. Denounced for Increasing War Danger

     Pyongyang, December 7 (KCNA) -- The deployment of new-type Patriot missiles　by the United States in Kwangju, south Korea, has been completed and this　indicates that its scheme to start a new war on the Korean Peninsula is　being stepped up in the last stage, notes a Minju Joson analyst today. He continues:
    The U.S. outcries for "dialogue" and "peace" are no more than a ruse to　cover up the preparations for a war against the DPRK. It is shipping　ultra-modern military hardware into south Korea behind the curtain of　"dialogue" and "peace" so as to mount a preemptive attack on the DPRK by　surprise.
    The U.S. was adamant enough to deploy the new-type Patriot missiles in　Kwangju, turning a deaf ear to the strong opposition of the south Korean　people. This is a downright mockery of and insult to the latter.
    The robber-like colors of the U.Ｓ. which does not bother to pay heed to　the south Korean people when it comes to its aggressive aim, came into a　glaring light this time again. The Korean nation in the north and the south　can never escape from the danger of a nuclear war without frustrating the　U.S. war moves.
    There is no change in the stand of the DPRK for answering good-will with　good-will and toughness with super toughness. The DPRK will continue to　increase its war deterrent force in the future, too, as the U.S. is getting　overheated in war preparations against it.
    The U.S. would be well advised to cool its head buoyed by fervor for　aggression on the DPRK and withdraw its forces from south Korea, clearly　seeing who is its adversary.

Folk Food Culture Encouraged in DPRK

     Pyongyang, December 7 (KCNA) -- The folk food culture has been encouraged　in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. A Korean food competition and national local special food exhibition were　held in June and September respectively.
    The dishes presented to the competition by the Okryu and Chongryu　restaurants and other catering establishments demonstrated fine aspects of　Korean food unique in taste, aroma, shape and color.
    The exhibition was participated in by more than 50 units including　provincial societies under the Korean Food Society, and public service and　external service establishments.
    On display there were over 700 kinds of local special dishes including　River Taedong gray mullet soup, Pyongyang white kimchi, hare meat quenelle,　chicken and carp soup, hot myongthae soup, mixed dish of boletus and beef,　and cake made of frozen potatoes. Also displayed were 260-odd folk holiday　dishes including boiled rice mixed with four other grains, noodle with meat　in flat vessel, cake made with wheat-flour, oil and honey, loach soup,　soybean malt paste and peppered bean paste.
    Those in the public catering field had toured different areas of the　country to find out properties and cooking method of traditional food and　improve their cooking method. The traditional food and drinks exhibited by　them caught the eyes of visitors.
    Colorful functions including contests of radishes pickled in salt water and　local special food shows were also organized to widely introduce the folk　dishes into dietary life of people and service in North Hwanghae, Kangwon　and other provinces.
    Meanwhile, national food restaurants have made their appearance in each　district of Pyongyang and local areas.
    Leader Kim Jong Il has paid deep attention to the work of carrying forward　the heritage of the folk food.

Quality Injection-molded Shoes Produced in DPRK

     Pyongyang, December 7 (KCNA) -- The Ryuwon Footwear Factory in the　Democratic People's Republic of Korea is mass-producing quality　injection-molded shoes. The shoes with two-color sole are smart, soft and flexible.
    Particularly children's shoes are in great demand.
    The factory has made technical inventions including a two-color-sole mould　to meet the growing demand for the shoes.
    The factory is now producing various models of quality injection-molded　shoes with multi-color soles and leather.
    Among its products are boots, sandals, leather shoes and mountain-climbing　boots.
    They are popular in local and foreign markets.

Historic Relics Discovered in Kaesong Area

     Pyongyang, December 7 (KCNA) -- Historic relics and remains have been　unearthed in twelve spots of the first stage construction site of the　Kaesong industrial zone, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. Among them are rude stone implements in the Paleolithic Age, earthenware　fragments in the Neolithic Age and iron scissors, porcelains and broken　roof-tiles in the periods of Koryo (918-1392) and Ri Dynasty (1392-1910). Forty historic relics were also excavated. They include a ruined house in　the early period of the Middle Ages and four ruined buildings, 19 cellar　tombs, 11 limestone tombs, two cremation tombs and one stone tomb belonging　to the period of Koryo.
    Dr. Ri Chang On of the Archaeological Institute of the Academy of Social　Science told the KCNA: The relics and remains prove that the Korean　ancestors had created and developed their own culture from the dawn of the　human history. They provide more materials for the study of the cultural　heritage of the nation.
    The survey, collection and excavation of the relics were conducted jointly　by scientists of the north and south from late April to late July.

U.S. Urged to Cancel Scenarios for War against DPRK

     Pyongyang, December 7 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the Committee for the　Peaceful Reunification of the Fatherland issued a statement Monday in which　he urged the United States to drop its hostile policy toward the DPRK and　cancel all its dangerous scenarios for a war against the DPRK if it truly　wants peace on the Korean Peninsula and a peaceful solution to its nuclear　issue. The statement referred to the fact that the U.S. has secretly worked out　and actively pursued very dangerous war scenarios to attack the DPRK.
    These facts clearly prove that the U.S. worked out three dimensional war　plans involving not only the period of emergency but the pre- and post-war　periods in the conception of war long ago and has steadily modified and　supplemented them in a bid to stifle the DPRK by force, the statement said,　and continued:
    The U.S. is working despicably to stifle the DPRK by force behind the scene　of dialogue despite its lip-service to the peaceful solution to the nuclear　issue on the Korean Peninsula and the six-party talks.
    The situation on the Korean Peninsula is, in fact, little different from　that in the war time as the U.S. scenario for a war of aggression is　becoming a reality.
    Peace has so far been preserved on the peninsula and the security of the　nation defended entirely thanks to the patriotic policy, the peace-loving　great Songun policy pursued by the DPRK for the country and the nation, and　its strong deterrent force which no formidable enemy can ever match.
    The statement called upon the south Koreans and the world progressive　people to turn out in the anti-U.S. struggle to avert a war and defend peace　to cope with the situation on the Korean Peninsula which is getting tenser　than ever before due to the U.S.

Vestigios y reliquias desenterrados en Kaesong

     Pyongyang, 7 de diciembre (ATCC) -- En 12 sitios del sector constructivo de la primera etapa de la Zona Industrial de Kaesong fueron desenterrados muchas reliquias y vestigios, entre otros, utensilios de piedra de la Edad Paleolitica, trozos de vasijas de barro de la Edad Neolitica, tijeras de cortar alambre, ceramicas y trozos de tejas de la epoca de Coryo(918-1392) y de la dinastia de los Ri (1392-1910) y 40 objetos incluidos un solar de principios de la Edad Media, 4 solares, 19 tumbas de sotano, 11 tumbas de ataud de cal muerta, 2 tumbas de difuntos quemados y una tumba de ataud de piedra, de la epoca de Coryo. El doctor titular del Instituto Arqueologico de la Academia de Ciencias Sociales Ri Chang On dijo a un reportero de la Agencia Telegrafica Central de Corea (ATCC):
    Estas reliquias son pruebas de que nuestros antepasados desde la aurora de la historia humana crearon sobre esta tierra su propia cultura peculiar y la desarrollaron magnificamente, y enriquecen la base material de la investigacion sobre el patrimonio cultural de la nacion coreana.

CNDPC denuncia malsano proceder de EE.UU. y OIEA

     Pyongyang, 7 de diciembre (ATCC) -- El portavoz del Comite Nacional de Defensa de la Paz de Corea dio a la publicidad el dia 6 una declaracion de denuncia a Estados Unidos y su satelital Organizacion Internacional de Energia Atomica que cerraron moderadamente el caso del muy peligroso problema nuclear del Sur de Corea y persiguen con mayor frenesi la confrontacion con la Republica Popular Democratica de Corea alegando el supuesto "problema nuclear de esta". La reciente "decision" intrigante de la OIEA de cerrar moderadamente el problema de pruebas nucleares realizadas en secreto por el Sur de Corea es un producto de la movida de hilos invisibles y la presion de EE.UU. y manipulacion trasera de las autoridades surcoreanas, senala el documento y prosigue:　
    Para la paz y la estabilidad de la Peninsula Coreana es imprescindible el esclarecimiento de los verdaderos aspectos del problema nuclear surcoreano y para este fin, no se debe permitir nunca la unilateral pauta de doble rasero y arbitrariedades de EE.UU. en este campo.
    Al margen de ello, no vendran la desnuclearizacion de la Peninsula Coreana ni la mejora del saneamiento de relaciones entre el Norte y el Sur de Corea ni tampoco se preservara la paz de Asia y el resto del mundo.
    Por lo tanto, EE.UU. y la OIEA han de dejar de medir el problema nuclear con su pauta de doble rasero y de arrogarse el papel del "juez" internacional en esta materia.
    El portavoz expreso su conviccion de que los habitantes surcoreanos de distintos estratos distinguiran con certeza la peligrosidad de experimentos nucleares impulsados por las autoridades surcoreanas bajo el amparo del Tio Sam, y se levantaran con vigor en la lucha antiimperialista y antibelica por frustrar las imprudentes maniobras de EE.UU. y sus fuerzas satelites enfiladas a desatar la guerra nuclear en la Peninsula Coreana.

Maniobras perturbadoras de paz y estabilidad regionales

     Pyongyang, 7 de diciembre (ATCC) -- El diario Rodong Sinmun inserto en su edicion del dia 7 un comentario individual en relacion con que en su nuevo "gran programa de defensa", Japon definio como "factores intransparentes y desestabilizadores" para la seguridad de la region del Nordeste Asiatico a la Republica Popular Democratica de Corea, China y Rusia. El comentario senala en particular:
    Al contrario, Japon es la fuerza agresiva muy peligrosa que perturba la paz y la estabilidad en esta region.
    La reciente calificacion de supuestos "factores intransparentes y desestabilizadores" a la RPDC y demas paises circunvecinos es la revelacion de la sucia naturaleza de los reaccionarios japoneses acostumbrados a cumplir su objetivo militarista acusando a otros paises.
    Con esta absurda definicion, ellos intentan justificar y dar mas riendas sueltas a sus maniobras encaminadas a la conversion en una potencia militar. Ademas, pretenden tomar la hegemonia en el Nordeste Asiatico, mantener a raya a los paises circunvecinos y luego satisfacer su ambicion de expansion a ultramar por via militar.
    En este contexto, en estos dias, se enfrascan en sentar una base legal necesaria para emprender la agresion a ultramar con la movilizacion de todos sus recursos materiales y humanos, a la par de modernizar, agrandar y dar largo alcance a las armas de las "fuerzas de autodefensa" niponas.
    Las maniobras de la reaccion japonesa llegaron a tal grado que quieren incluir en la constitucion a enmendarse un articulo que permite a Japon "participar en el ejercicio de fuerzas armadas".　
    En tanto, con el pretexto de hacer frente a supuestas "amenazas" en el Nordeste Asiatico, los reaccionarios japoneses fortalecen aun mas su "alianza de seguridad con EE.UU," para llevar a la realidad su ambicion de la "esfera de co-prosperidad de gran Asia oriental" fallida en el pasado.
