     Pyongyang, January 4 (KCNA) -- A meeting and an art performance were held at a Mongolian company and meetings and lectures at the Pyongyang Cultural Interchange Centre in Lausanne, Switzerland, and by the Society for the Study of the Juche Farming Method of the Kim Il Sung Institute of Agricultural Science in Guinea and at the State Folklore Museum of the Ministry of Labor and Interior of Botswana from Dec. 20 to 24 on the occasion of the 13th anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's assumption of the supreme commandership of the Korean People's Army and the 87th birth anniversary of anti-Japanese war hero Kim Jong Suk. . The general director of the Mongolian company said in his speech at the meeting that his company had the honor of receiving a large porcelain vase on which the image of Kim Jong Suk is depicted on the above-said two significant occasions and on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the registration of her as an honorary member of the company.
    The chief of the Pyongyang Cultural Interchange Centre in Lausanne at a meeting highly praised the Songun leadership exploits performed by Kim Jong Il.
    The director general of the Kim Il Sung Institute of Agricultural Science in Guinea in a lecture on "The emergence of the Songun politics was a historic event" noted that today the Songun politics set out by Kim Jong Il is drawing great attention from the international community for its originality, scientific accuracy and great vitality.
    A letter and a message of greetings to Kim Jong Il were adopted at the meetings held in Mongolia and Switzerland.

Groups for Study of Juche Idea Meet in Peru and Uganda

     Pyongyang, January 4 (KCNA) -- An annual meeting was held by the Group for the Study of the Kim Il Sung Economic Theory of Federico Villareal National University of Peru on Dec. 23 on the occasion of the 13th anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's assumption of the supreme commandership of the Korean People's Army and the 87th birth anniversary of anti-Japanese war hero Kim Jong Suk. The coordinator of the study group in his report at the meeting referred to the fact that the group conducted such brisk diverse activities to inform Peruvian teachers and students of the university of Korea's reality and the Juche idea as seminars, academic presentations, lectures and the publication of information bulletins on important occasions last year. As a result they showed increasing interest in socialist Korea, he added.
    He stressed the need for the group to work out a good plan and make thorough preparations for broadening and deepening the study and dissemination of the Juche idea in the significant new year which marks the 60th anniversaries of the Workers' Party of Korea and the liberation of Korea.
    On the same day an annual meeting of the Ugandan National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea was held in Kampala City.
    Baguma Isoke, chairman of the national committee, called for intensifying the activities of its organizations in the significant year 2005.

U.S. Massive Military Build-up against DPRK under Fire

     Pyongyang, January 4 (KCNA) -- The U.S. came under fire by a signed commentary of Minju Joson Tuesday for having massively shipped into south Korea military hardware for mounting a preemptive attack on the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. The commentary says:
    The U.S. massively deployed in south Korea up-to-date weapons and operational equipment it claimed tested in the Iraqi and Afghan wars or newly developed. A month ago, it rounded off the deployment of two battalions of PAC-3 in south Korea and is now contemplating the deployment of new type missile Bunker Burst there within this year. These facts clearly prove that the U.S. is, in fact, hatching a dangerous plot to stab the DPRK on the back, while paying lip-service to "peace" and "dialogue," and this is being pushed forward at a more desperate phase.
    It is the DPRK's invariable mode of counteraction to the hostile forces to return fire for fire and respond to the use of force in kind.
    The DPRK is left with no option but to move for increasing its defence capacity for self-defense now that it has become clear that the U.S. continues pursuing the policy to stifle the DPRK by mounting a preemptive military attack on the DPRK prompted by its inveterate negation of the DPRK.
    The U.S. had better stop running amuck, clearly understanding who its rival is.

Struggle for Abolition of NSL Unabated in S. Korea

     Pyongyang, January 4 (KCNA) -- The struggle for the abolition of the "National Security Law (NSL)" is going on in south Korea. The South Headquarters of the National Alliance of Youth and Students for the Country's Reunification made public a statement on December 28 supporting the sit-in strike of former deputies to the south Korean Federation of University Student Councils (Hanchongryon) for the repeal of the NSL.
    The statement said it is quite natural for Hanchongryon to have come out in the vigorous struggle for the abolition of the evil law, holding high the slogan "Dissolution of the Grand National Party," the arch criminal responsible for the confrontation between compatriots and the violation of the people's vital rights, a group of lackeys of the U.S. and pro-American traitors.
    On the same day more than 100 professors and lawyers under the "National Council of Professors for Democratization", the "National Union of Professors" and the Bar Association for Democratic Society of south Korea made a foot march for the repeal of the NSL.
    They held a rally in front of Jonggak Railway Station in Seoul.
    A statement read out at the rally said that no democracy can be expected as long as the NSL which has blocked social development remains in force and demanded that the evil law be completely abrogated without fail.
    Meanwhile, on December 29 over 200 members of the hunger strike group for complete abolition of the NSL staged a demonstration demanding that the bill on the repeal of the law be placed on the agenda of the "National Assembly."

Kim Jong Il Receives Congratulatory Messages from Koreans under Mindan

     Pyongyang, January 4 (KCNA) -- Leader Kim Jong Il received congratulatory messages from Mindan-lining compatriots living in various regions of Japan including Kyoto and Saitama and south Koreans staying in Japan on the New Year Juche 94 (2005). The messages highly praise the immortal exploits of Kim Jong Il for national reunification, saying he was wisely leading all the fellow countrymen to the implementation of the historic June 15 joint declaration, having opened a turning phase for national reunification by setting up a milestone with the declaration.
    The messages express the firm resolution of the compatriots to participate enthusiastically in the nation-wide struggle to turn this year, the historic year in which fall the 5th anniversary of the publication of the June 15 joint declaration and the 60th anniversary of national liberation, into the year of independent reunification with united strength of the nation.

Chongryon Chairman Calls for Patriotic Movement

     Pyongyang, January 4 (KCNA) -- So Man Sul, chairman of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon), called for making the 50th anniversary of the formation of Chongryon a springboard for a new stage of the patriotic movement, according to a KNS report from Tokyo. He published New Year's greetings to all the Koreans in Japan on January 1, 2005.
    Chongryon, he said, will advance in high spirit in the new year, too, surmounting difficulties in reliance upon the concerted efforts of the compatriots.
    Chongryon will actively conduct external activities to provide the compatriots with favorable living environments and make a tangible contribution to the building of a great prosperous powerful nation in the homeland and to the cause of reunification, he stated.

Three-point Cooperation for New Phase in Reunification Movement Urged

     Pyongyang, January 4 (KCNA) -- "Let's advance under the banner of cooperation for national independence, cooperation for peace against war and cooperation for reunification and patriotism!" -- This slogan in the joint New Year editorial was set out on the basis of an overall analysis of the requirements of the prevailing situation and the course of the struggle for national reunification last year. It represents the revolutionary will of the Workers' Party of Korea and the government of the DPRK to win a decisive victory in the struggle for national reunification in this significant year with the might of reunification forces favoring the June 15 joint declaration and national cooperation, tiding over all tests and difficulties lying in the way of the reunification movement. This is what Rodong Sinmun Tuesday says in a signed article.
    Stating that the three-point cooperation guarantees the sovereignty and dignity of the nation, peace and independent reunification of the country and common interests and prosperity of the nation, the author of the article goes on:
    The banner of cooperation for national independence must be held high.
    The U.S. imperialists are the age-old sworn enemy of the Korean nation and the common enemy of all the Koreans in the north, the south and overseas.
    All the fellow countrymen should turn out in the nation-wide struggle through cooperation for national independence to settle all the scores with the U.S., staking the nation's dignity and destiny. The Korean nation should reject the U.S., the very one responsible for Korea's division, and should never tolerate the U.S. domination and interference in its internal affairs.
    The banner of cooperation for peace against war should be held ever higher.
    Upholding the banner of close cooperation for peace against war, all the fellow countrymen should drive the U.S. troops out of south Korea and root out the very source of a nuclear war. Everywhere Koreans live, they should build up a fierce flame of the struggle to drive away the U.S. troops so that they cannot but return to their den, unable to stay in south Korea any longer.
    Cooperation for reunification and patriotism should be achieved. Solidarity and alliance of all the political parties, sections and social strata in the north, the south and overseas should be realized. All the fellow countrymen should fight against the domination and interference of outside forces, against the outside forces and the national traitors and anti-reunification forces following their lead.
    The June 15 North-South Joint Declaration is the ever-lasting treasured sword for victory in the struggle for national reunification. The joint declaration is immediately three-point cooperation and the realization of three-point cooperation is immediately the way of implementing the joint declaration. All the Koreans should warmly support the joint declaration and devote themselves to its implementation.
    The main guarantee for the defense of peace and security on the Korean Peninsula and for the advance of the movement for independent reunification at present lies in Songun politics.

Solar-Heat Greenhouses Built

     Pyongyang, January 4 (KCNA) -- Several thousand solar-heat greenhouses of different sizes and shapes have been constructed at industrial establishments and rural communities across the Democratic People's Republic of Korea in recent years. They, covering hundreds of hectares, are turning out various kinds of vegetables including lettuce, crown daisy and cucumber even in winter. The Turusom Cooperative Farm in Rakrang District is taking the lead in greenhouse farming in Pyongyang.
    The farm has built nearly 100 greenhouses with an acreage of six hectares in total.
    The walls of the greenhouses were built with slug adobe to keep warmth inside.
    Hundreds of standardized greenhouses have been built in sunny places in South Hwanghae Province.
    Those built in towns and counties of North Phyongan Province, Kanggye City of Jagang Province, Wonsan City of Kangwon Province, Tokchon City of South Phyongan Province and Hwangju County of North Hwanghae Province are paying off.

     Pyongyang, 4 de enero (ATCC) -- Corea encauza gran fuerza a la construccion de invernaderos de verduras de calor solar. En los ultimos anos se construyeron en distintas localidades del pais miles de invernaderos de verduras de calor solar que cuentan con centenares de hectareas.
    Dada la insuficiencia del suministro de la electricidad y otros reglones energeticos por la situacion economica dificil, las fabricas, empresas y campos rurales de distintas localidades dan gran impulso a la edificacion de invernaculos de calor solar de distintos tamanos y formas convenientes a sus condiciones reales.
    Los invernaculos disponen de todas las condiciones para producir lechuga, Chrysanthemum coronarium, pepino y otras verduras en el invierno. En la ciudad de Pyongyang la granja cooperativa de Turusom del municipio de Rakrang toma la delantera de esta labor.
    Los equipos y subequipos de trabajo de esta granja construyeron cerca de 100 invernaderos con 6 hectareas de superficie total.
    Los invernaculos de calor solar con paredes de barro (cenizas de carbon) construidos por cuenta propia de esta granja tienen gran efecto de preservacion termica y de utilidad.
    En la provincia de Hwanghae del Sur construyeron en areas bien soleadas centenares de invernaculos estandarizados.
    Las ciudades y distritos de la provincia de Phyong-an del Norte, las ciudades de Kanggye, Wonsan y Tokchon, el distrito de Hwangju y otras ciudades y distritos promueven la construccion de invernaculos similares y se benefician de los ya edificados.

Peru y Uganda: reunion anual de organizacion de estudio de idea Juche

     Pyongyang, 4 de enero (ATCC) -- Con motivo del 13 aniversario del nombramiento del Dirigente Kim Jong Il como Comandante Supremo del Ejercito Popular de Corea y del 87 aniversario del nacimiento de la heroina de lucha antijaponesa Kim Jong Suk, tuvo lugar el 23 de diciembre del ano expirado la reunion anual ordinaria en el Grupo de Estudio de Teorias Economicas de Kim Il Sung de la Universidad Nacional Federico Villarreal del Peru. Wilfredo Chino Villegas, coordinador de este grupo, en su informe, menciono que durante un ano pasado el citado grupo desarrollo activamente la propaganda sobre la realidad de Corea y la idea Juche mediante simposios, cenaculos de estudio cientifico, conferencias, publicacion de boletines y otras actividades en importantes oportunidades, debido a lo cual los profesores y estudiantes prestaron mas atencion a Corea socialista.
    Subrayo la necesidad de trazar bien un plan para desplegar con mas amplitud la propaganda sobre la idea Juche en el ano en curso en que se cumple el 60 aniversario de la fundacion del Partido del Trabajo de Corea y de la restauracion de esta.
    En la reunion anual ordinaria del Comite Nacional de Uganda para el Estudio de la idea Juche efectuada el mismo dia en la ciudad de Kampala, el presidente del comite, Baguma Isoke, destaco la necesidad de activar en 2005 las actividades de sus organizaciones. hr>
