Entry of U.S. Nuclear Submarine into S. Korean Port Flayed

Pyongyang, March 31 (KCNA) -- A nuclear submarine of the U.S. forces, a means for preemptive nuclear strike, busied itself in the waters off the Korean Peninsula for war exercises against the DPRK against the backdrop of the tense situation. This is an unpardonable criminal act of gravely threatening peace and security on the Korean Peninsula as it was prompted by its intention to attack the DPRK any time under the pretext of nuclear issue. A spokesman for the Korean National Peace Committee said this in his statement issued on Mar. 30 in connection with the recent disclosure of the fact that a U.S. nuclear submarine entered the naval base in Jinhae of south Korea in top secrecy to participate in the maneuvers for a war of aggression against the DPRK.
    The statement went on:
The United States is chiefly to blame for the danger of a nuclear war on the Korean Peninsula and it was again the U.S. that spurned the serious nuclear issue and has stood in the way of finding a solution to the issue.
It is entirely just for the DPRK to have built a deterrent force to cope with the U.S. policy to stifle the DPRK and its nuclear threat as it belongs to the former's sovereignty. It is extremely shameless and brigandish sophism for the U.S. to claim that its nukes for aggression do not pose any problem but the DPRK's nukes for self-defence are problematic.
The situation created on the Korean Peninsula over the nuclear issue clearly shows who truly wants peace and denuclearization and who pursues confrontation and a nuclear war.
The United States should roll back its reckless hostile policy toward the DPRK before urging others to "scrap their nukes" and quit south Korea as early as possible taking with it all its aggressor armed forces and nuclear weapons.

He praised his Songun politics as an all-powerful treasured sword for protecting the dignity and sovereignty of the country and the nation and always emerging victorious in the confrontation with the United States.

DPRK Foreign Ministry's Statement Supported in Norway

Pyongyang, March 31 (KCNA) -- The Norwegian Branch of the Society for Friendship with the DPRK made public a statement on Mar. 15 in support of the DPRK Foreign Ministry's statement concerning the nuclear issue. The statement said it was the only just and logical measure for the DPRK to have pulled out of the NPT, adding that it is a sovereign state which has the right to re-operate its own nuclear power plant to supply electricity to the people who have waited with patience for the U.S. to implement the DPRK-U.S. Agreed Framework.
The U.S. has perpetrated all sorts of vicious acts against the DPRK, spreading misinformation in the international community, it noted, and continued: The U.S. is seeking regime changes in those countries which court its displeasure and interfering in the internal affairs of other countries, forcing the American way of life upon them.
The U.S. increased pressure upon the DPRK would only harden the Korean people's resolution to defend national independence and achieve the country's reunification. The Norwegian branch will always support the Korean people's struggle.

Anniversary of Kim Jong Il's Work Observed

Pyongyang, March 31 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun today dedicates a signed article to the 23rd anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's famous work "On the Juche Idea". In the work he made a perfect exposition of the principles and contents of the Juche idea from its founding to its philosophical principle, socio-historical principles, guiding principles and historical significance and lucidly proved that it is a great guiding idea as it indicates the way of accomplishing the human cause of independence.
    The article notes:
Kim Jong Il has led the Korean revolution to victory under the banner of the Juche idea. His wise leadership lies in that he gave the most perfect answers to the theoretical and practical questions raised by the times and the revolution through his energetic ideological and theoretical activities.
He set out the theory on imbuing all members of the society with the monolithic idea, the theory on succeeding to the revolutionary cause of the working class, the theory on socialism centred on the popular masses, the theory on building the revolutionary party of Juche with the cause of building the party of the leader as a cornerstone, the theory on building the revolutionary armed forces with the theory on building the army of the leader as a hardcore, etc. These theories serve as immortal guidelines always leading the Korean revolution along the road of Juche as they are unique ones which give answers to the theoretical and practical questions arising at the new stage of the developing Korean revolution.
The principle of placing the army before the working class, the idea of forming the main force of the revolution and other Juche-based theories of the Songun revolution give flawless answers to the new theoretical and practical questions arising in accomplishing the socialist cause at present.
His wise leadership also finds its expression in the fact that he has trained the army and the people of the DPRK to be revolutionaries strong in idea and faith.
He has put the ideological and moral traits of the Korean people on a new higher stage with the People's Army as a model under the banner of Songun in recent years when the country faced grim ordeals and difficulties. His dynamic leadership is fully reflected in the long journey for the Songun revolution made by him to train the servicepersons of the People's Army to be fighters strongest in idea and faith and in the revolutionary steps taken by him to create the revolutionary soldier spirit and make sure that it was applied by all members of the society.
Economic difficulties could also be overcome successfully thanks to the ideological and moral power of the army and the people in the DPRK who have upheld Kim Jong Il's idea and intention in a do-or-die spirit, firmly believing in the headquarters of the revolution only.

New Silkworm Cocoon Incremental Agent Developed in DPRK

Pyongyang, March 31 (KCNA) -- The Chilmyong Trading Corporation of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea has developed a new kind of incremental agent of silkworm cocoon. The agent, made with physiological activator, various kinds of vitamins and microelements, makes it possible to increase cocoon production remarkably without extending the silkworm breeding period.
It also raises resistance to diseases and promotes growth of cocoons so as to boost cocoon output by 10-22 percent with the same amount of feed and under the same conditions.
The nontoxic agent ensures the quality and fine color of cocoons.
As only one-time spray of the agent on the feed is enough, it saves manpower, time and feed and thus sharply reduces the production cost in comparison with other incremental agents.
The years of test has proved its economic effectiveness. The demand for it is ever increasing at local and foreign markets.

The main ingredients of the pills are pine pollen and needles, vitamins, microelements, essential amino acids, polysaccharides, etc. From olden times, the Korean people have made tea, spirits and medicines with pine flower and needles.
In the course of putting the achievements of ancestors on a scientific basis, scientists of the institute succeeded in extracting efficacious elements from pine flower and needles and raising their density up to over 70 percent and their digestibility over 90 percent.
According to Bachelor Kang Mok Sok, clinical experiments prove that the pills are efficacious for digestive diseases including colitis and disorders of internal organs. The pills also help adsorb and excrete harmful matters accumulated in human body due to radioactive rays, nicotine and alcohol.
It took only 20-30 days for those who had suffered from colitis for more than 10 years to recover from the disease.
It can also be used for weakness and for those who take antibiotics.

Three Forms of National Cooperation Called for

Pyongyang, March 31 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun Thursday dedicates a signed article to the 40th anniversary of the struggle waged by students and people from all walks of life in south Korea against the signing of the traitorous south Korea-Japan "agreement". The struggle that raged across south Korea from March 31 to August 29 in 1965 was a patriotic one as it recorded a distinguished page in the history of the anti-Japanese and anti-fascist struggle of the south Koreans and demonstrated to the full their indomitable will and heroic resolution to protect the dignity and sovereignty of the nation, the article says, and goes on:
The struggle taught a serious lesson that as long as aggressors and traitors are allowed to stay it is impossible to protect the dignity and interests of the nation and realize the democratization of the south Korean society, and only through a united struggle to lead an independent and dignified life can the Koreans deter the ferocious and crafty foreign forces from perpetrating aggression and infringing upon their interests and achieve independent and uniform development of the country and co-prosperity and common interests of the nation.
The Koreans have not yet achieved the country's reunification, their sovereignty violated, due to the U.S. forces' 60-year long occupation of south Korea that came in the wake of the Japanese imperialists' 40 odd year-long colonial rule over Korea.
It is of paramount importance for the south Korean people to wage a staunch struggle against foreign forces in order to realize the cherished desire of the participants in the above-said just patriotic struggle.
If the south Korean people are to triumph in the struggle for independence against outsiders, they should actively turn out to achieve the three forms of cooperation-- cooperation for national independence, cooperation for peace against war and cooperation for reunification and patriotism?under the uplifted banner of the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration.
The struggle to put an end to the foreign aggression and interference in south Korea can be crowned with victory only through national cooperation.
The south Korean people should struggle for the withdrawal of the U.S. troops from south Korea, holding high the slogan of patriotism "Let's not allow the U.S. forces' presence in south Korea to go beyond 60 years!" They should frustrate the U.S. imperialists' sinister intention and criminal moves to dominate the whole of Korea, taking south Korea as a base for aggression to realize their ambition for world supremacy.
They should hold aloft the banner of the struggle to throw overboard the traitorous forces only seeking "cooperation" with outsiders.
All the Koreans in the north, the south and overseas should fully display in the present anti-U.S. sacred struggle the same patriotic enthusiasm and spirit as done by the participants in the struggle against the humiliating "agreement" 40 years back to meet outsiders' challenge to the movement for reunification and foil their moves for a war, drive the aggression forces out of the country and accomplish the historic cause of national independence and reunification as early as possible.

DPRK Foreign Ministry Spokesman on Denuclearization of Korea

Pyongyang, March 31 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the DPRK Foreign Ministry released a statement today as regards the wrong view spread by the U.S. and its allies on the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula. The statement says:
It is the consistent strategic goal of the DPRK to achieve lasting peace and stability and realize the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.
However, the United States and its allies are now spreading a wrong view on the denuclearization of the peninsula at a time when the six-way talks for a solution to the nuclear issue between the DPRK and the U.S. still remain at a stalemate.
They assert that the DPRK's access to nukes is incompatible with the efforts to ensure security and the abandonment of its nuclear program would precisely lead to the denuclearization of the peninsula.
This is a deliberate distortion of the essence of the situation.
If the Korean Peninsula is to be denuclearized, it is necessary to put an end to the growing U.S. nuclear threat in and around the peninsula, the source that compelled the DPRK to have access to nuclear weapons, and establish the relations of confidence between the DPRK and the countries concerned.
By nature, the denuclearization of the peninsula was initiated by the DPRK for the purpose of freeing it from the U.S. nuclear threat. That was why the DPRK acceded to the NPT and concluded the DPRK-U.S. Agreed Framework.
But, the U.S. has abused all this for isolating and stifling the DPRK.
The Bush administration, in particular, openly posed a nuclear threat to the DPRK, thus compelling it to produce nuclear weapons so as to prevent a war and protect its system and existence.
Such being a hard fact, the U.S. is twisting the essence of the denuclearization of the peninsula. It asserts that the DPRK's dismantlement of nukes would lead to the denuclearization, sidestepping the nuclear threat posed by Washington.
Denuclearization is needed only for ensuring lasting peace and stability on the peninsula.
In the real sense, the denuclearization of the peninsula calls for rooting out the very source that compelled the DPRK to make nuclear weapons. This would be a proper order in the efforts to find a solution to the issue.
To this end, the U.S. should roll back before anything else its hostile policy aimed at toppling the system of the DPRK through a nuclear war after designating it as a "target of preemptive nuclear attack".
But the reality is quite contrary to this demand.
The U.S. keeps many tactical nuclear weapons in south Korea on a permanent basis. And it is ceaselessly shipping nuclear strike means there.
It also brought lots of nuclear carrier flotillas and strategic bombers capable of nuclear delivery into south Korea when it staged large-scale nuclear war exercises against the DPRK in and around south Korea on an annual basis in recent years. It has conducted mock nuke dropping exercises in south Korea by mobilizing even flying corps of its air force in Japan and on Guam, etc.
As if it were not enough with this, the U.S. is spending a colossal amount of fund for developing smaller nukes capable of destroying underground bunkers in the DPRK. Shortly ago it stealthily brought Los Angeles-class nuclear submarine to Jinhae Port in south Korea, sparking off a big furor.
It is preposterous for the U.S. to turn a blind eye to this fact and assert that only the DPRK's dismantlement of its nukes can lead to the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.
If the peninsula is to be nuclear-free, it is necessary to clear south Korea of all the nuclear weapons of the U.S. and root out every element that can help south Korea have access to nukes.
Of course, this should be confirmed through verification.
It is also necessary to stop all nuclear war exercises against the DPRK in and around the Korean Peninsula, remove leverage by which one can threaten others with nukes and build the relations of confidence among surrounding countries including the DPRK and the U.S.
Only then is it possible to denuclearize the Korean Peninsula in practice just as President Kim Il Sung desired so much in his lifetime.
Given that the DPRK and the U.S. are technically at war and south Korea is under the nuclear umbrella of the U.S., nuclear weapons in the hands of the DPRK would serve a main deterrent force in its effort to avert a war on the peninsula and ensure peace and stability there until the above-said demands are met.
The same can be said of the six-party talks.
The six-party talks should provide a platform for seeking comprehensive ways of substantially and fairly realizing the denuclearization of the peninsula, not just as a bargaining ground where a give-and-take type way of solution is discussed.
Gone are the days when the six-party talks took up such give-and-take type issues as reward for freeze.
Now that the DPRK has become a full-fledged nuclear weapons state, the six-party talks should be disarmament talks where the participating countries negotiate the issue on an equal footing.
The U.S. claims that if the DPRK dismantles its nuclear weapons first, it will be given "collective assurances for security" and get a "benefit". This is, however, nothing but a gangster-like logic urging the DPRK to disarm itself and yield to the U.S. domination.
Such unequal "talks" at which the U.S. sitting in a chair is allowed to issue commands to the DPRK while the latter is forced to sit on its knees and meet the former's demand can never help find a solution to the nuclear issue. On the contrary, they will only escalate the confrontation and tensions.
If the U.S. threat of nukes is completely removed from the Korean Peninsula and its vicinity, it will be possible to ensure lasting peace and stability not only in the peninsula but in the rest of Northeast Asia.
If the six-party talks are to creditably fulfill their mission, it is necessary to convert them into a place where ways are sought to completely remove the U.S. threat of nukes and a nuclear war from the peninsula and its vicinity.
The DPRK will as ever do its best to avert a war and realize the comprehensive denuclearization on the peninsula.
