Korean People's Struggle Supported
Pyongyang, July 17 (KCNA) -- Juda Tsootetsi, secretary of the Mfumalanga Provincial Committee of the South African Communist Party and chairman of the South African Association for Friendship and Solidarity with the Korean People, said that they would always be on the just side of the Korean people for peace, sovereignty and reunification of the country.
In a statement issued on July 10 on the occasion of the June 25-July 27month of the anti-U.S. joint struggle, he noted that they demand the U.S. withdraw its aggression troops from south Korea at once, stop its moves to provoke a new war and refrain from throwing a wet blanket over the Korean people's efforts to achieve inter-Korean reconciliation and reunification.
The great victory of the Korean people in the three-year war ignited by the U.S. imperialists was a brilliant fruition of President Kim Il Sung's unique military idea and superb commanding art and the result of the Korean people's heroic struggle, he said.
He warned that if the Bush administration provokes another Korean war, oblivious of the historic lessons, it will sustain a big defeat incomparable with that in the last Korean war.
The Korean people are now single-mindedly united around leader Kim Jong Il and have a military power enough to wipe out any aggressors at a blow.

Rodong Sinmun on South-South Cooperation
Pyongyang, July 17 (KCNA) -- The target of development raised by the developing countries in the new century is to bring about a new turn in all fabrics of social life including economy and culture in conformity with the world's trend of development so as to reach the level of advanced countries. To this end, developing countries should develop south-south cooperative relations. Rodong Sinmun says this in a signed article Sunday.
To strengthen south-south cooperation is one of the most effective ways for developing countries to make socio-economic progress and achieve prosperity in the new century, the article notes, and goes on:
Developing countries are working hard to settle through south-south cooperation the issues of pioneering new scientific and technological fields in which much effort and many funds are needed, introducing latest machinery and equipment and making a rational use of natural resources.
For the last decades they have made great progress in the scientific and technological and economic fields while building a new society. Not a few remarkable achievements were registered. Some developing countries have retained supremacy in ultra modern scientific and technological field. If developing countries strengthen cooperation and exchange in those fields while consolidating their achievements, they can make great progress by themselves, without calling for help from the imperialists.
The imperialists are desperately working in every way to hinder developing countries from advancing under the uplifted slogan of collective self-reliance but in vain.
The position of developing countries is rising and their right to say and influence are increasing in the international arena and their collective efforts are promoting the socio-economic progress and development in the new century. This is exerting great influence on the trend of global independence in the new century as it displays the validity and vitality of south-south cooperation.

As a result, the existence of the Koreans will be seriously endangered, they said, calling for waging a struggle to check the "strategic flexibility" of the U.S. troops.

U.S. Urged to Sincerely Approach Six-party Talks
Pyongyang, July 16 (KCNA) -- The United States should abandon its narrow-minded attitude and sincerely approach the six-way talks to be resumed with so much effort so that they may play their role.
The Solidarity for Implementing the South-North Joint Declaration said this in a statement titled "The U.S. should make a fundamental switchover in its attitude" released on July 11.

The final goal of the talks is to achieve lasting peace and stability and the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula, the statement noted, and continued:
What is important for the substantial progress of the talks above all is for the U.S. to make a switchover in its attitude.
If the U.S. persists in its hard-line approach towards the talks, the talks will not prove fruitful no matter how frequently they take place. It should respect its dialogue partner and sincerely approach the talks. We will intensify the anti-U.S. and anti-war struggle for the withdrawal of the U.S. forces, closely following its attitude towards the talks.

The unity is, in essence, the unity of those people aspiring after independence and its purpose is to put an end to all forms of domination and subjugation and realize independence.
