52nd Anniversary of Victory in War Commemorated

     Pyongyang, July 27 (KCNA) -- The 52nd anniversary of the victory in the great Fatherland Liberation War was commemorated on July 26. A loyal meeting of servicepersons of the three services of the Korean People's Army was held at the education ground of the Monument to Victory in the Fatherland Liberation War to vow to glorify the Songun revolutionary leadership feats of Supreme Commander Kim Jong Il for all ages.
    Kim Yong Chun, chief of the KPA General Staff, in his report said that the historic victory in the Fatherland Liberation War which excited the world as a "military miracle in the 20th century" was a brilliant fruition of the wise leadership of Generalissimo Kim Il Sung. He referred to the fact that Kim Il Sung gave a shameful defeat to the U.S. imperialist aggressors who boasted of being "the strongest" in the world with his matchless pluck and will, outstanding strategy and tactics and extraordinary commanding art and brought about the beginning of decline for them.
    The reporter continued:
    The immortal feats Kim Il Sung performed for the victory in the war have been brilliantly carried forward by Kim Jong Il. He has trained the KPA to be the strong revolutionary army of Mt. Paektu and the matchless combat ranks with his outstanding Songun revolutionary leadership for scores of years.
    All the KPA servicepersons should firmly believe in and follow the supreme commander only, become human bombs to defend the headquarters of revolution at the cost of their lives, thoroughly establish the revolutionary military traits of acting as one under his command in the KPA and become the first adherents and champion and implementer of the Songun idea.
    The KPA will resolutely smash the moves of the enemies to weaken the ideological might of the arms of the revolution and mete out merciless punishment to the aggressors, provokers.
    Officers at the meeting expressed their firm resolution representing the unanimous will of the servicepersons of the three services of the KPA.
    An evening gala of the Ministry of the People's Armed Forces was held at Jonsung Square Tuesday.
    The participants danced to the tune of songs "Long Live Generalissimo Kim Il Sung," "Song of National Defence," "My Song in Trench," "Song of Remembrance" and "Our July 27," recalling the day of victory in the war when the servicepersons and the people beat back the aggression of the U.S. imperialists and honorably defended the freedom and independence of the country.
    With the pride of being soldiers of the Supreme Commander they danced to the lilting tune of songs "The Distinguished Service Medal of Soldier," "Let's Keep Pace with Army Song" and "Let's Meet on Front," flying the flags of the KPA supreme commander, the Workers' Party of Korea and the DPRK.
    Present at the functions were Kim Yong Chun, chief of the KPA General Staff, Kim Il Chol, minister of the People's Armed Forces, senior officials of the Ministry of the People's Armed Forces and servicepersons.
    Meanwhile, an art performance was given by the Korean People's Army Song and Dance Ensemble at the April 25 House of Culture and a wartime song stage "Eternal Song of Victory" by the art squad of the Central Committee of the Korean Democratic Women's Union and art circle members of the Pyongyang City Women's Union at the Women's Hall.

Anniversary of War Victory Commemorated

     Pyongyang, July 27 (KCNA) -- A seminar was held in France on July 10 and a seminar and a film show in Bangladesh on July 17 on the occasion of the 52nd anniversary of the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War and the month of international solidarity with the Korean people. Displayed in the venues were photos showing the undying Songun revolutionary feats of leader Kim Jong Il.
    Screened at the film show was Korean film "The U.S. Imperialist Aggressors Are Provoker of the Korean War," Part 1 of "The Fatherland Liberation War."
    Jean Marie Lambret, chief of the French Group for the Study of the Juche Idea, said in his speech that the United States has pursued the anachronistic hostile policy towards the Korean people instead of drawing lessons from its bitter defeat in the war against the DPRK.
    He stressed that the U.S. should know that the DPRK is the country in which the poplar masses have become the master of everything, the whole army and all the people are united in one mind and the country which firmly pursues the policy of self-reliance in defence on the basis of independence.
    Officials of the Bangladesh People's League and the Bangladesh Self-Reliance Research Center in their speeches said that the Korean people demonstrated to the world that injustice is bound to be defeated and justice to win and greatly encouraged the struggle of people in colonies to achieve the genuine independence of their countries by defeating the U.S. imperialist aggressors in the three-year war thanks to the outstanding military idea and strategy of President Kim Il Sung.
    A letter to Kim Jong Il was adopted at the seminar held in France.

Mexican Preparatory Committee Inaugurated

     Pyongyang, July 27 (KCNA) -- The Mexican preparatory committee for celebrating the 60th anniversaries of Korea's liberation and the Workers' Party of Korea was inaugurated with due ceremony in Mexico City on July 21. Displayed at the inaugural ceremony were photos showing the great vitality of the Songun policy.
    Ricardo Chavez Gutieres, chairman of the Central Committee of the Mexican Communist Party, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee at the ceremony. At the ceremony he said that the 60th anniversaries of Korea's liberation and the Workers' Party of Korea are auspicious events common to the various Mexican political parties aspiring after socialism and the progressive people supporting the just cause of the Korean people and that they would grandly and significantly commemorate the holidays together with the Korean people.

U.S. Moves against DPRK Denounced

     Pyongyang, July 27 (KCNA) -- The Communist Workers Party of Russia-Communists Party of Russia and the Russian progressive people admire at the devoted struggle of the Korean people for independence and the socialist cause and strongly protest against the U.S. moves against the DPRK. The Central Committee of the Communist Workers Party of Russia-Communists Party of Russia said this in its statement on July 23 on the occasion of the 52nd anniversary of the victory in the great Fatherland Liberation War.
    The statement said:
    The Korean nation has established the socialist system serving the popular masses for the first time in its history spanning thousands of years. The DPRK has turned into the country, independent in politics and self-reliant in economy, and the strong socialist country capable of repulsing the aggression of enemies with its own efforts.
    Bereft of reason for its hatred for socialism, the U.S. has resorted to vicious moves to stifle the DPRK and threatened preemptive nuclear strike at the DPRK, while demanding it disarm itself.
    We call upon all the progressive forces around the world to support our protest and turn out to oppose the U.S. interference in the cause of the Korean people.

AINDF Spokesman Issues Statement on Day of Victory in Korean War

     Pyongyang, July 27 (KCNA) -- No one on earth dares provoke the Korean nation as long as it is led by Kim Jong Il, the illustrious commander of Mt. Paektu, and he pursues ever-victorious Songun policy and the history of July 27 victory in the war will go on. A spokesman for the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front (AINDF) said this in the statement on July 25 on the occasion of the 52nd anniversary of the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War, according to the Kuguk Jonson Internet site.
    The statement went on:
    The July 27 victory in the war was a great victory brought about by President Kim Il Sung, an anti-Japanese legendary hero, an outstanding strategist and the invincible and iron-willed commander, and a historical event to be specially recorded in the world history of wars.
    The proud history of the victory in the war against the U.S. made by the President in the 1950s of the last century has been creditably carried forward by Kim Jong Il. The Songun policy of the north is an all-mighty treasured sword defending the sovereignty, dignity and security of the country and the nation and opening up a wide avenue for the independent reunification and the great pride of the 70 million fellow countrymen. Now the U.S. has viciously pursued the policy to stifle the north and resorted to the reckless moves to provoke a war against the north in a bid to recover its miserable defeat in the past June 25 war.
    The AINDF would wage a more dynamic struggle together with all the people who value the national sovereignty and dignity, peace and reunification in order to put an end to the 60 year-long disgraceful history of the occupation of the U.S. troops.

Economic and Commercial Councilors' Corps Visits Victorious FLWM

     Pyongyang, July 27 (KCNA) -- The economic and commercial councilors' corps here visited the Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum on July 26 on the occasion of the 52nd anniversary of the victory in the great Fatherland Liberation War. The guests looked round with keen interest the historic mementoes on display, being briefed on the fact that Kim Il Sung, the invincible and iron-willed commander and a great strategist, put forward the Juche-oriented military idea and unique outstanding strategic and tactical policies and aroused the whole party and army and all the people in the anti-U.S. war and the People's Army and the Korean people, united close around him, repelled the invasion of the U.S. imperialists and achieved a brilliant victory during the last Fatherland Liberation War.

Rally and Grand March for Peace Held in S. Korea

     Pyongyang, July 27 (KCNA) -- Youths and students' rally for peace against war and a grand march for peace were reportedly held at Maroni Park on University Street in Seoul on July 23 under the sponsorship of the youth and student headquarters of the south side's preparatory committee for joint functions of Koreans in the south and the north and overseas to implement the June 15 joint declaration. Kim Ik Sok, permanent representative of the youth and student headquarters, and Sin Kon Su, vice-chairman of the south Korean Council of Youth Organizations, in their speeches at the rally said that the youth and students have the heavy duty of taking responsibility of the destiny of the nation.
    The speakers called upon them to take the lead in the campaign for peace against war and the struggle for the independent and peaceful reunification to check a war on the Korean Peninsula and defend the life of the nation.
    A resolution adopted at the rally clarified that the youth and students in the south and the north and overseas declared the days from June 13 to November 17 as the "period of joint struggle of the youth and students in the south and the north and overseas for peace against war" and agreed to hold July 27 joint rally for peace against war as the first work in the period. The resolution stressed that the youth and students in this land would thoroughly implement the June 15 joint declaration to this end.

Papers on 52nd Anniversary of Victory in War

     Pyongyang, July 27 (KCNA) -- Papers Wednesday dedicate editorials to the 52nd anniversary of the victory in the great Fatherland Liberation War. Korea wrought a military miracle of having defeated the formidable imperialist enemy incomparably superior in number or in military technique and equipment, reversing the imagination and anticipation of the world, Rodong Sinmun says, and goes on:
    The victory in the war is a brilliant victory of the gifted military wisdom and outstanding leadership art of President Kim Il Sung.
    The Fatherland Liberation War was the historical event which opened a new turning phase in carving out the destiny of the country and the nation and in accomplishing the cause of global independence. By winning the victory in the war, the Korean People's Army (KPA) and the Korean people fully displayed the invincible mettle of heroic Korea, broke the myth of the U.S. imperialists' "mightiness" for the first time in history, brought about the beginning of decline for them and opened a new era of the anti-imperialist, anti-U.S. struggle.

Greetings to Peruvian President

     Pyongyang, July 27 (KCNA) -- Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly, sent a message of greetings to Alejandro Toledo Manrique, president of Peru, on Tuesday on the occasion of the day of its independence. Expressing the belief that the friendly relations between the two countries would further develop, the message wished him a greater success in his work for welfare of the Peruvian people.

Floral Baskets Laid before Monument to Victory of War

     Pyongyang, July 27 (KCNA) -- Floral baskets were laid before the Monument to Victory in the Fatherland of Liberation War Wednesday on the occasion of the 52nd anniversary of the victory of the great Fatherland Liberation War. Amidst the playing of floral basket laying music, a floral basket was laid in the joint name of the Central Committee and the Central Military Commission of the Workers' Party of Korea.
    Laid there were floral baskets in the name of the Ministry of the People's Armed Forces, working people's organizations, ministries, national institutions, units of the Korean People's Army, organs of science, education, public health and the press and party and power bodies in Pyongyang, bouquets and flowers.
    Ribbons of the floral baskets bear the letters "Victory and glory to servicemen of the heroic Korean People's Army!"
    Participants expressed their noble respects to the servicepersons of the heroic Korean People's Army who decisively defeated the invasion of the U.S. imperialists and reliably defended the security of the country and the gains of revolution by displaying matchless bravery and popular heroism in hearty response to the operational plans of President Kim Il Sung, a great strategist and invincible and iron-willed commander, during the war.

Wreaths Laid before Martyrs' Cemeteries

     Pyongyang, July 27 (KCNA) -- Wreaths were laid at the Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery on Mt. Taesong and the Patriotic Martyrs Cemetery on July 27 on the occasion of the 52nd anniversary of the victory in the great Fatherland Liberation War. Seen standing at the wreath-laying stands of the cemeteries were wreaths sent by Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army. Lined up there were honor guards of the Korean People's Army. Amidst the playing of the wreath-laying music wreaths were put in the joint name of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly and the DPRK Cabinet.
    Also laid there were wreaths in the name of the Ministry of the People's Armed Forces, working people's organizations, ministries, national institutions, units of the Korean People's Army, organs of science, education, public health, physical culture and sports and the press, party and power bodies, factories and farms in Pyongyang and bouquets and flowers.
    Written on ribbons of the wreaths were letters reading "Glory to the revolutionary martyrs!" and "Glory to the patriotic martyrs!"

Floral Baskets Laid before Statues of President Kim Il Sung

     Pyongyang, July 27 (KCNA) -- Floral baskets were laid before the statues of President Kim Il Sung on the occasion of the 52nd anniversary of the victory of the great Fatherland Liberation War. Citizens, servicepersons of the Korean People's Army and school youth and children here and overseas compatriots staying in the socialist homeland visited the statue of the President on Mansu Hill.
    Seen standing before the statue of the President was a floral basket sent by Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission and supreme commander of the KPA.
    Amidst the playing of the floral basket-laying music floral baskets were laid before the statue in the name of party, armed forces and power bodies, social organizations, ministries, national institutions, units of the KPA, different organs, enterprises, farms, schools and others in the city and bouquets and flowers.

Kim Yong Nam envia mensaje de felicitacion al presidente del Peru

    　Pyongyang, 27 de julio (ATCC) -- El presidente del Presidium de la Asamblea Popular Suprema de la Republica Popular Democratica de Corea, Kim Yong Nam, envio el dia 26 un mensaje de felicitacion al presidente de la Republica del Peru, Alejandro Toledo Manrique, por el Dia de la Independencia de este pais sudamericano. El remitente expresa su conviccion de que las relaciones de amistad entre los dos paises se fortaleceran y se desarrollaran aun mas y desea al destinatario mayores exitos en la labor para el bienestar del pueblo peruano.

Ofrendas florales ante cementerios de Martires

    　Pyongyang, 27 de julio (ATCC) -- Con motivo del 52 aniversario del gran triunfo en la Guerra de Liberacion de la Patria (1950-1953), se depositaron el dia 27 ofrendas florales ante el Cementerio de Martires Revolucionarios en el Monte Taesong y el de Patriotas. 　Estaban colocadas ante dichos cementerios ofrendas florales enviadas por el Dirigente Kim Jong Il, Secretario General del Partido del Trabajo de Corea, Presidente del Comite de Defensa Nacional de la Republica Popular Democratica de Corea y Comandante Supremo del Ejercito Popular de Corea.
    　En los lugares estaban de pie guardias de honor del EPC.
    　Mientras se interpretaba la musica de la ocasion, fueron depositadas las ofrendas florales a nombre del CC del PTC, el Presidium de la Asamblea Popular Suprema y el Consejo de Ministros, de la RPDC.
