Collection of Kim Jong Il's Works Published in Kyrgyzstan

     Pyongyang, October 5 (KCNA) -- The collection of leader Kim Jong Il's works "For the Victory of the Cause of Socialism" was published by a publishing house of Kyrgyzstan. The book contains his works "The Workers' Party of Korea Is the Party of the Great Leader Comrade Kim Il Sung," "On Preserving the Juche Character and National Character of the Revolution and Construction," "Socialism Is a Science" and "Socialism Is What Keeps Our People Alive."
    Klara Azhibekova, first secretary of the C. C., the Communist Party of Kyrgyzstan, at the book releasing ceremony held at the head office of its central committee on Sept. 27 praised the works of Kim Jong Il as important guidelines indicating the way for progressive humankind to follow.
    The Workers' Party of Korea founded by President Kim Il Sung has invariably covered the road of victory for the last six decades thanks to the wise leadership of Kim Jong Il, a distinguished statesman, she added.

Proposal for Founding DFRK Supported

     Pyongyang, October 5 (KCNA) -- The proposal for founding the Democratic Federal Republic of Koryo (DFRK) is the most just and realistic one for Korea's reunification as it reflected the situation on the divided Korean Peninsula and the aspiration of all the Koreans. The Arab Lawyers Union said this in a statement released on Sept. 26 on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the proposal for founding the DFRK. The statement said that this year marks the 25th anniversary of the above-said proposal laid down by eternal President of the Korean people Kim Il Sung, noting that it is commanding the unanimous support from all Koreans in the north and the south and overseas.
    Korea should be reunified in the near future on the principle of independence, peaceful reunification and great national unity free from any interference of outside forces in accordance with the proposal for founding the DFRK, the statement noted, and went on: We have always supported the Korean people in their just cause for achieving the country's reunification and defending peace on the Korean Peninsula and held that the U.S. forces pull out of south Korea, as desired and demanded by the Korean nation.

WPK Birthday to Be Observed in Ireland

     Pyongyang, October 5 (KCNA) -- The Irish preparatory committee to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) was inaugurated in Dublin on Sept. 29. Seon Garland, president of the Irish Workers' Party, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee.

Monument to Revolutionary Activities of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il Erected in Manpho City

     Manpho, October 4 (KCNA) -- The monument to the revolutionary activities of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il "May the giant footprints left by the leaders in Manpho shine" was erected in Manpho City, Jagang Province.
    Kim Il Sung conducted energetic activities in Manpho City to bring about a turning phase for the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War and devoted tireless efforts and wisdom to the work to turn the city into a land of bliss for people, a place good to work and live in. And Kim Jong Il has wisely led the work of the city true to the noble intention of the President.
    The natural granite monument is 10.8m long and 3.8m high. Pak To Chun, chief secretary of the Jagang Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, made an address at the unveiling ceremony of the monument held on the spot Tuesday.

Egyptian Ambassador Hosts Reception

     Pyongyang, October 5 (KCNA) -- Moustafa Mohamed Ahmed Al Hateer, Egyptian ambassador e. p. to the DPRK, Tuesday hosted a reception at the embassy here on the occasion of the 60th birthday of the Workers' Party of Korea. The ambassador in his speech said that eternal President Kim Il Sung founded the WPK 60 years ago, ushering in a new era of freedom and happiness of the Korean people.
    Leader Kim Jong Il is wisely leading the Korean people in their efforts to build a great prosperous powerful socialist nation, he noted, adding:
    The peoples of both Egypt and the DPRK having long-standing cultures have made positive efforts to deepen the mutual understanding and develop the friendly relations. Choe Thae Bok, secretary of the WPK Central Committee, in his speech said the foundation of the WPK by President Kim Il Sung was a historic event of fundamental significance in the Korean revolution and carving out the destiny of the Korean people. The WPK has grown strong to be the party of Kim Il Sung and a powerful political organization leading the Korean revolution to steady victory true to the Songun politics of Kim Jong Il, he stressed.
    Noting that the Egyptian people have achieved great successes in the work for social and political stability and economic prosperity of the country under the leadership of President Mohamed Hosni Mubarak, he expressed the belief that the friendly relations between the two countries would develop more favorably thanks to their joint efforts. Present there on invitation were Kim Yong Jin, minister of Education, Mun Jae Chol, acting chairman of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries, Kim Hyong Jun, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, Kim Tang Su, director of the Bureau of Diplomatic Corps Affairs, and officials concerned.

National Seminar Held to Commemorate WPK Anniversary

     Pyongyang, October 5 (KCNA) -- A national seminar was held at the People's Palace of Culture Tuesday to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea. Present there were Jong Ha Chol, secretary of the WPK Central Committee, Kim Yong Jin, minister of Education, Choe Ik Gyu, minister of Culture, and others. Presented at the seminar were papers under the titles "The foundation of the WPK was a historic event that set a shining example in building a revolutionary party in the era of Juche," "The idea and theory on building a Juche-oriented party serve as an undying great programme clearly indicating ways of building a working class revolutionary party," "The great undying leadership exploits performed in building the WPK into the party of the leader," "Developing the WPK into a mighty party steering the era of Songun provides a sure guarantee for accomplishing the Songun revolutionary cause," "The great leadership provided for building the WPK into the mother party looking after the people's destiny in a responsible manner" and "Let the whole party and army and all people bring about a decisive turn in the building of a great prosperous powerful nation remaining loyal to the Songun idea and leadership of the great general."
    The floor was taken by Choe Chil Nam, editor-in-chief of Rodong Sinmun, Kim Si Hak, president of Kim Il Sung Higher Party School, Ri Thae Bong, editor-in-chief of Josoninmingun, Pak Jong Nam, secretary of the Kangwon Provincial Committee of the WPK, and others.
    The speakers proved scientifically and theoretically in depth the immortal revolutionary exploits performed by Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il in the party building. Referring to the significance of the exploits performed in building a Juche-oriented party, they stressed that under the leadership of Kim Jong Il the WPK has become a militant party which has modeled all members of the society on the Songun idea, taking it as steadfast guidelines in the party building and activities and won victory after victory in the drive to build a great prosperous powerful nation and in the confrontation with imperialism, with the U.S., putting forward the Korean People's Army as the main force.
    The Juche-oriented idea and theory on party building formulated by Kim Jong Il as a perfect theory of the revolutionary party building in the era of independence serve as an undying grand programme for building a revolutionary party as they indicate the most correct ways of building the party into a political organization leading the work to materialize the leader's idea and establish his leadership, they said, and went on: By setting out the most scientific and revolutionary idea of party building in the era of Songun, Kim Jong Il provided a precious ideological and theoretical boon to steadily developing the WPK into a powerful political organization steering the Songun revolution despite whatever difficulties.
    Thanks to the outstanding guidance of Kim Jong Il, who, regarding Songun as the warmest love for the people, has firmly protected the people's destiny with the Songun politics, the WPK has decisively met all the imperialists' challenges and frustrated their moves to isolate and stifle the DPRK, firmly defended the destiny of the country and the people and dynamically steered the building of a great prosperous powerful nation.

U.S. Urged to Drop Its Moves to Bring down DPRK system

     Pyongyang, October 5 (KCNA) -- The United States should clearly understand the inevitability of the failure of its Korea policy and abandon its ambition for bringing down the system in the DPRK, says Rodong Sinmun in a by-lined article today. The article goes on:
    The U.S. is telling that it has no "intention to bring down the system of north Korea, while talking about "mutual respect" and "recognition of a sovereign state" at the place of talks, but behind the scene it is getting frantic in the war exercises and "human rights" offensive against the latter. This proves that the U.S. imperialists' moves to bring down the system of the DPRK are entering into an earnest and undisguised stage of action.
    The U.S. is foolishly calculating that it can realize its ambition for "change of the system" in the DPRK with carrot and stick tactics. But it is seriously mistaken. It is a strategic error for the U.S. to try to carry out its ambition for the "change of the system" in the DPRK while trampling down on its sovereignty by force of arms. A war has not yet broken out in the Korean Peninsula despite the U.S. reckless military adventurous moves. This is because of the army and the people of the DPRK full of conviction of victory and strong fighting spirit to resolutely beat back the imperialists' aggression and eradicate the cause of war and the powerful military might of the DPRK built up under the banner of Songun.
    The Korean people are unfazed as they have the powerful military muscle to defend the cause of socialism and their destiny under the leadership of the illustrious commander born of Heaven. The might of the DPRK will be steadily strengthened and the anti-imperialist military front more firmly cemented as long as it is pursuing the Songun policy.
    Any attempt to disarm the Korean people ideologically and bring down the system of the DPRK with "human rights" offensive and the strategy of undermining from within is as like as a daydream.
    Korean-style socialism centred on the popular masses is genuine popular socialism chosen by the Korean people themselves and absolutely trusted and supported by them and herein lie the solidity and invincibility of Korean-style socialism. Steadfast and immutable are the Korean people's faith in socialism and will to defend the country. The single-minded unity of the leader, the party and the masses is the special feature which can be found only in Korean socialism. The unity is a patent weapon of the DPRK and it is more powerful than nuke. Anachronistic is the attempt of the U.S. to realize its ambition for bringing down the system of the DPRK by undermining and degenerating Korean socialism in which the leader, the party and the masses are united firmly.

Anniversary of WPK Celebrated in DPRK

     Pyongyang, October 5 (KCNA) -- Colorful functions are taking place in the DPRK to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea. An art performance was given by kindergarteners across the country at the Central Youth Hall on Oct. 4.
    The performance was appreciated by Kim Yong Nam, Kim Il Chol, Choe Thae Bok, Choe Yong Rim, Kwak Pom Gi and Kim Yong Dae who is chairman of the Central Committee of the Korean Social Democratic Party, Ryu Mi Yong who is chairperson of the Central Committee of the Chondoist Chongu Party, officials concerned and working people from all walks of life in the city.
    The performers put on the stage female chorus "Kindergarten is bosom of the mother, the Party", dance "Bell dance on holiday" and other colorful numbers, which vividly represented the bright appearance of the Korean children growing in happiness under the loving care of the benevolent Party which was founded by Generalissimo Kim Il Sung and is being led by General Kim Jong Il.
    A celebration meeting was held by agricultural workers in the plaza of the Monument to Party Founding on the same day.
    At the meeting a reporter and speakers called upon the agricultural workers to become the patriotic farmers in the Songun era and the farmer heroes in the 21st century who remain loyal to the Songun policy of the Party, give full play to the trait of aiding the army and uphold the Party and socialism with the increased grain production. Seminars were held at Kim Il Sung Higher Party School, the University of National Economics and Kum Song Political University on Oct. 1, 3 and 4. Speakers said that the six-decade history of the WPK is the course of glory as it has successfully accomplished the cause of the building of the Party of Juche type and guided the revolution and construction to victory in storms of unprecedentedly complicated and rigorous revolution. They explained and proved that the WPK has performed the undying feats which will shine in the century under the banner of Juche, the banner of Songun.

Greetings to Kim Jong Il from Fidel Castro Ruz

     Pyongyang, October 5 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army, received a message of greetings from Fidel Castro Ruz, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party, president of the Council of State and president of the Council of Ministers of Cuba, on October 2. The message reads:
    I extend the sincerest congratulations to you and to the WPK and the DPRK government and people on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the WPK. We will always remember the warm benevolence, support and solidarity to the Cuban people and the Cuban revolution sent by respected President Kim Il Sung, founder and leader of the WPK and the DPRK.
    Kim Il Sung, who devoted his all to the anti-imperialist struggle, the cause of socialism, the happiness of the people and national reunification, is always with us along with his exploits and historic last instructions.
    Both Cuba and the DPRK could not but tide over the difficult and complicated situation owing to the changes in the international arena and the U.S. administration's intensified aggression and hostile acts in the last decade of the last century. The peoples of the two countries have steadily pushed forward socialist construction despite of big difficulties and, through it, demonstrated the might and vitality of their ideology and the unity of the revolutionary people and proved the importance of the decisive role of the CPC and the WPK, their vanguard units.

Gift to Kim Jong Il from Swiss Delegation

     Pyongyang, October 5 (KCNA) -- Leader Kim Jong Il was presented with a gift by a delegation of the Swiss Committee for Supporting Korea's Independent and Peaceful Reunification on a visit to the DPRK. It was handed to an official concerned by Chairman of the Swiss committee Martin Lotscher who is heading the delegation.

DPRK Delegation Returns from Cuba, Venezuela

     Pyongyang, October 5 (KCNA) -- The DPRK delegation headed by Yang Hyong Sop, vice-president of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly, came back Wednesday after visiting Cuba and Venezuela. It was met at the airport by Choe Yong Rim, secretary general of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly, Kim Hyong Jun, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, officials concerned, Cuban Charge d' Affaires in Pyongyang Caridad Adela Galan Pelegrino and Chinese Ambassador to the DPRK Wu Donghe.
    The delegation left Caracas on Oct. 2 after visiting Venezuela.

Pyongyang IP Center Brisk in Operation

    Pyongyang, October 5 (KCNA) -- The Pyongyang IP Center is conducting brisk business activities. It was founded with a mission to register intellectual products, protect them and realize their commercial circulation under the deep care of the government of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea which is directing many efforts to the development of the intellectual industry with information as the resources. The center consists of sections for research and development consultancy, intellectual property and for technology transfer.
    The work of the intellectual property section is done by the Pyongyang Patent and Trademark Agency that has the longest history and is biggest in scale among the intellectual property law firms of the DPRK.
    The center fills the function of the Secretariat of the DPRK Industrial Property Attorneys Association representing all the patent agents in the country. And it has set up liaison offices at the Ming and Sure Intellectual Property Office in Beijing, China, and the CGS Corporation in Japan respectively, and cooperates with more than 7,000 intellectual property law firms in over 100 countries in the fields of patent, trademark and copyright.
    The center, representing the Academy of Sciences and many universities and research institutes of the country as regards the creation and circulation of intellectual assets, offers juristic, technological and commercial services to foreign enterprises and technology transfer agencies that hope to jointly research and develop and exchange technologies with the DPRK.

Kim Jong Il dirige la Fabrica de Vidrio de Amistad de Taean

    @Pyongyang, 5 de octubre (ATCC) -- El Dirigente Kim Jong Il, Secretario General del Partido del Trabajo de Corea y Presidente del Comite de Defensa Nacional de la Republica Popular Democratica de Corea, dirigio sobre el terreno la recien construida Fabrica de Vidrio de Amistad de Taean. En el mismo lugar le acogieron el viceministro de Construccion y de Industria de Materiales de Construccion Ryang Jang Gyun y los funcionarios directivos de la fabrica. La citada planta, construida por la ayuda gratuita del partido y el gobierno de China, es un simbolo de la amistad Corea-China que se fortalece y se desarrolla cada dia mas. La fabrica con el area de cientos de miles de metros cuadrados es una moderna base de produccion de vidrio donde todos los procesos de produccion principal e instalaciones del sistema auxiliar estan dotados de equipos ultramodernos y tiene alta capacidad de produccion.
    Fue construida perfectamente en un ano y pico despues de la ceremonia de comienzo de la obra, lo cual se debe a que en correspondencia a la atencion especial de los dirigentes de Corea y China, los tecnicos, especialistas y obreros de ambos paises y militares del Ejercito Popular de Corea, participantes en la construccion, mancomunados, dieron pruebas de su alta responsabilidad, abnegacion y gran actividad. Particularmente, los funcionarios, tecnicos y constructores de la Compania General de Vidrio Yaohua, China en pleno acato a la voluntad del partido y el gobierno de su pais de asegurar en altisimo nivel la construccion de la fabrica, hicieron ingentes y sinceros esfuerzos por terminar la obra segun la demanda del diseno y libraron una batalla intensa de dia y noche albergandose en el mismo campo de construccion sin tomar descansos.
    La Fabrica de Vidrio de Amistad de Taean, que se construyo majestuosamente a la ribera del rio Taedong, hara un gran aporte a la construccion de la economia socialista y la mejora de la vida del pueblo.
    Tras escuchar explicaciones ante el panorama de la fabrica, recorrio durante largo tiempo el interior y el exterior de esta incluyendo el lugar de la fundicion, el de modelado, el de enfriamiento despacioso, el de productos para enterarse detalladamente del estado de la construccion y la produccion.
    El Dirigente dijo que la Fabrica tiene aseguradas en un nivel altisimo todas las cosas desde el diseno hasta el equipamiento tecnico y la construccion y expreso gran satisfaccion de que esta moderna planta se construyo magnificamente en un corto tiempo por ingentes esfuerzos de los constructores de los dos paises. El Dirigente asevero que el partido y el gobierno de China encabezados por el secretario general Hu Jintao la ofrecieron gratis cuando atravesabamos duras pruebas y ayudaron con sinceridad la construccion de la planta y anadio que el pueblo coreano esta agradecido por esta amistad fraternal y cooperacion desinteresada y apreciara siempre el sentimiento de gran amistad.
    Evaluo de altos los meritos de los funcionarios, tecnicos y obreros de la citada compania china que con un gran sentimiento de amistad hicieron todo lo que estaba a su alcance para culminar la obra en un alto nivel y alabo altamente sus esfuerzos. Senalo que nuestros funcionarios y tecnicos, en estrecha relacion y cooperacion con los camaradas chinos, deben resolver satisfactoriamente los problemas economico-tecnicos que se presentan para hacer que la produccion sea fructuosa.
    Le acompanaron el premier del Consejo de Ministros de la RPDC Pak Pong Ju, el jefe de departamento del Comite Central del PTC Pak Nam Gi, el primer subjefe de departamento del CC del PTC Ri Jae Il, los generales de ejercito del EPC Ri Myong Su, Hyon Chol Hae y Pak Jae Gyong.

EE.UU. nunca podra derrocar el sistema de la RPDC

    @Pyongyang, 5 de octubre (ATCC) -- El diario Rodong Sinmun inserto en su numero del dia 5 un articulo individual exigiendo a Estados Unidos percatarse de lo inevitable del fracaso de su politica agresiva a la Republica Popular Democratica de Corea y desistir de su intento de "derrocar el regimen" de esta. Es EE.UU. que en la mesa de conversaciones aboga por el "respeto reciproco" y el "reconocimiento a la RPDC como Estado soberano" y a espaldas, intensifica las maniobras belicas y la ofensiva de "derechos humanos" contra la segunda, precisa el articulista y prosigue:
    Tal procedimiento demuestra que ya entran en la etapa practica y crucial las maniobras de los imperialistas gringos encaminados a "derrumbar" el sistema de la RPDC.
    El muy simple Tio Sam piensa equivocadamente que podria lograrlo con la tactica de zanahoria y garrote.
    Seria un error estrategico si EE.UU. intenta violar la soberania de la RPDC con las fuerzas armadas.
    Pese a las imprudentes y aventureras maniobras militares del imperio no se ha desatado hasta el momento una guerra en la Peninsula Coreana. Esto se debe al ejercito y el pueblo de Corea, que bien convencidos de la victoria, estan dispuestos a rechazar tajantemente la invasion de los imperialistas y eliminar de raices la causa de la guerra, y a las poderosisimas fuerzas armadas que preparo la RPDC bajo la bandera del Songun (priorizacion militar).
    El pueblo coreano esta muy corajudo porque cuenta con el General Insigne y posee poderosas fuerzas armadas capaces de defender la causa socialista y el destino del pais. Con la politica de Songun, la RPDC fortalecera incesantemente su potencialidad y consolidara aun mas su frente militar antiimperialista.
    Por lo tanto, resulta una vana ilusion el intento del Tio Sam de derrocar el sistema de la RPDC al desarmar ideologicamente al pueblo coreano con la ofensiva de "DDHH" y la estrategia de subversion interna.
    El socialismo coreano centrado en las masas populares es una sociedad verdaderamente popular porque fue optado por el propio pueblo coreano y goza de absoluta confianza y apoyo de este. He aqui su solidez e invencibilidad. Son inconmovibles la fe del pueblo coreano en el socialismo y su voluntad de defender la patria. La unidad monolitica entre el lider, el partido y el pueblo es algo tipico del socialismo coreano. Esta unidad es un arma patentada de la RPDC y es mas potente que las armas nucleares.
    Por lo tanto, resulta anacronico el calculo de EE.UU. de deformar desde adentro el socialismo coreano donde estan compactamente unidos el lider, el partido y el pueblo.
