Functions Held in Czech Republic and Iran
Pyongyang, November 25 (KCNA) -- A film show was held at the Taekwon-do Club of the "Kyebaek Self-Defence Art " in the Czech Republic, a briefing on the situation on the Korean Peninsula and a film show were held by the Red Crescent Relief and Rescue Organization of Iran on Nov. 13 and 18 on the occasion of the 14th anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's assumption of office as supreme commander of the Korean People's Army and the 88th birth anniversary of Anti-Japanese War Hero Kim Jong Suk.
The participants of the film shows watched Korean films including the "Grand Gymnastic and Artistic Performance 'Arirang', 'Kim Il Sung Prize' Winner", "Old Home in Mt. Paektu Shining with Glory" and "Korea, Land of Morning Calm."
The participants of the above-said functions said that the DPRK has solved its strategic problems including the nuclear issue in its interests, steadfastly standing in confrontation with the U.S., adding that this is entirely thanks to the wise leadership of Kim Jong Il.
Watching Kim Jong Il possessed of inexhaustible energy and brilliant wisdom, we were convinced of the rosy future of the DPRK, they stressed.
Adoption of Anti-North "Resolution on Human Rights Performance" Assailed by South Koreans
Pyongyang, November 25 (KCNA) -- There is mounting criticism of the adoption of the anti-north "resolution on human rights performance" at the UN General Assembly.
Jong Un Sik, representative of the Peace Net of south Korea, in a statement released on Nov. 18 said that the three "resolutions" of the UN Committee on Human Rights and the recent adoption of one more "resolution" arouses the suspicion that the UN is being reduced to a tool for implementing the U.S.-sponsored unilateral "policy on human rights issue in the north." The statement said:
It is our hope that the UN will reflect on its approach towards the human rights issue in north Korea, the stand based on criticism and pressure, and opt for a just settlement of it on the basis of sincerity and good faith. We also urge the south Korean government to comprehensively reexamine its passive and defensive stand on which it has only emphasized the peculiarity of the south-north relations and give spurs to creating an international environment.
Meanwhile, an editor of Minjok Thongsin, made public a commentary titled "No human rights without sovereignty" on Nov. 19 at which he denounced those forces for hailing the adoption of the "resolution".
He observed that they seemed not to know properly about some members of the international community which unconditionally said "yes" to what was sponsored by the U.S., Britain and other powers.
These forces are no more than imbeciles who do not know even the fact that the U.S., Britain and other powers are the countries which deprived other countries of their sovereignty and colonized them and have preached human rights and democracy for their peoples and international community, the commentary noted, and continued:
What is more deplorable is the fact that some media in south Korea whose position is no better than that under a colonial rule are talking about "human rights issue" in the north and treacherous political forces such as the "Grand National Party" accused the government for people, which abstained from voting for the "resolution," of being a leftist. Such traitorous and sycophantic forces do not understand the stark fact that they will also die when a war breaks out on the Korean Peninsula and it is none other than the U.S. that abuses human rights, in actuality.
It is the way of protecting human rights and world peace to condemn those countries which have threatened other countries by force and violated their sovereignty and stand against the arbitrary practices of a handful of big powers including the U.S. This is, at the same time, the only way of combating terrorism.
Traitorous Behavior of S. Korean Authorities under Fire
Pyongyang, November 25 (KCNA) -- The South Headquarters of the National Alliance for the Country's Reunification (Pomminryon) reportedly issued a statement titled "The south Korea-U.S. summit talks were sycophantic and traitorous and anti-reunification talks" on Nov. 18.
Referring to the fact that a "joint declaration" was made public at the summit talks, the statement branded the joint declaration as a sycophantic and traitorous declaration and anti-reunification one as it clearly reflected the U.S. unilateralism and supremacy and hostile policy towards the north.
The statement blasted Bush who, urging "North Korea's abandonment of its nuclear program," argued that the offer of light water reactors is possible only when the complete abandonment of its nuclear program is recognized.
The statement continued:
The U.S. is talking about peace on the Korean Peninsula, while raising such condition as a complete abandonment of the nuclear program on one hand and threatening with the "resolution on human rights issue in north Korea" and "economic sanctions" on the other. This is hypocrisy of the U.S.
The south headquarters bitterly condemns the present "government" for its sycophantic and traitorous act of betraying the future of the nation and people, bound to the humiliating south Korea-U.S. "alliance."
S. Korean Religionists Oppose Authorities' Offer of Land to U.S. Forces
Pyongyang, November 25 (KCNA) -- The members of four major religious organizations including Kaesin, Buddhism and Round Buddhism in south Korea reportedly met in Seoul on Nov. 22 in protest against the authorities' offer of land for the transfer and expansion of the U.S. military base in Phyongthaek.
Speakers at the meeting accused the "Central Committee for Land Expropriation" of making a decision on approving the forcible acquisition of the land of inhabitants of Phyongthaek who refused to comply with the purchase of land required for the transfer and expansion of the military base there.
Underlining the need to check the expansion of the military base without fail for foiling the war scheme of the U.S. and defending the dignity of the nation, they expressed their will to stage a 1,000 day-long movement of praying for averting a war and defending peace from Nov. 27.
An appeal was issued in the name of the religious preparatory committee for the "second grand march for peace" due to be held in Phyongthaek on Dec. 11.

S. Korean Right-Wing Conservative Forces Have No Future
Pyongyang, November 25 (KCNA) -- The "Grand National Party", a general headquarters of flunkeys and traitors and anti-reunification conservative forces, is desperately working to bring back the era of inter-Korean confrontation and the reactionary offensive of the right-wing conservative forces is escalating. It was against this backdrop that the "National League of New Right", a new organization of the right-wing conservative forces, was knocked into shape recently to group all types of fascist remnants including renegades of the "student movement" and conservative hack writers.
Rodong Sinmun Friday observes in a signed article: This is no more than a foolish fit of those who have no future. Only destruction awaits those who are engrossed in the treacherous moves, swimming against the trend of the times.
The anti-reunification conservative forces in south Korea are the reactionaries of history as they stand in the way of the people's struggle to achieve independence and reunification, turning their faces away from the changed times.
The GNP is still betraying the fellow countrymen, swimming against the trend of the times, not away from the old way of thinking dating back to the era of the Cold War.
It adopted flunkeyism towards the U.S. as its policy and is blindly toeing the U.S. policy.
The U.S. military domination over south Korea is a stumbling block lying in the way of achieving its progress and development and intensifying the movement for national reunification. However, the GNP is throwing a higher hurdle in the way of the south Koreans' movement for achieving independence by pursuing such flunkeyism towards the U.S. and toeing its line.
The group of traitors is making desperate efforts to stand against the fellow countrymen, while kowtowing and yielding to outside forces.
With no desperation can the reactionaries stop the advance of history.
The end of the "civilian government" in south Korea resulted in ousting the conservative forces from power who had been engrossed in flunkeyism towards the U.S. and treachery, staying in power for several decades under the active patronage of the U.S. since its troops' occupation of south Korea. This was the result of the dynamic struggle waged by the south Korean people to put an end to the outdated politics characterized by flunkeyism and anti-reunification acts and bring about a new politics of democracy and independent reunification.
The anti-reunification conservative forces including the GNP are making desperate efforts to block the advance of progressive and pro-reform forces and bring back by-gone days. However, their fate will not be different from their present miserable one.
The reactionaries of history can never escape a final doom as they are forsaken by the people.
Kim Il Sung's Immortal Exploits Praised
Pyongyang, November 25 (KCNA) -- President Kim Il Sung will always live in the hearts of humankind for his immortal exploits performed for the era and history and the rays of Juche will brightly indicate the way to be followed by them at all times.
M. Jahangir Khan, leader of Comrade Kim Il Sung Works Study Group of Barisal, Bangladesh, who led the delegation of organizations for the study of the Juche idea of Bangladesh, said this when interviewed by a KCNA reporter at Pyongyang Koryo Hotel before its departure for home.

I became an ardent adherent to the Juche idea, enchanted by his great idea in the course of reading famous works of the President.
The Juche idea is now being developed and enriched by leader Kim Jong Il, he stressed.

When the video reunions started, the families and relatives who have lived separated in the north and the south tried to recall their faces before separation. Upon recognizing each other, they asked how they were and exchanged long pent-up inmost thoughts.
