Important Anniversary of DPRK Commemorated in France and Egypt

     Pyongyang, December 13 (KCNA) -- A seminar was held by the French Group for the Study of the Juche Idea on Dec. 3 to mark the 14th anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's assumption of office as supreme commander of the Korean People's Army. Jean Marie Lambret, chief of the group, in his report at the seminar referred to the fact that the world progressive people are waging a positive struggle for building an independent and peaceful new world under the banner of the Juche idea. The Korean people's just cause of independence against imperialism is sure to triumph and the reunification of Korea certain to be achieved, he stressed.
    Recalling that Kim Jong Il set out the theory of giving priority to the ideological work and has paid particular attention to the political and ideological work in the army, he continued: The KPA has grown to be an army strong in ideology and faith under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Il. His love and trust in its soldiers is the source of the unity between the leader and the army and the unity between officers and men and the basic factor that made the spirit of devotedly defending the leader and socialism prevail throughout the army.
    Socialist Korea where the army and people are united close around Kim Jong Il is an invincible country which no one dare attack. A message of greetings to Kim Jong Il was adopted at the seminar.
    Meanwhile, a film show on Korean film "55th Anniversary of the Republic" took place at the International Cultural Cooperation Centre in Egypt on Dec. 6 with personages from all walks of life including officials of the Egyptian ministries of Foreign Affairs and Culture attending.

S. Korean Ultra-Right Conservatives' Crimes under Fire

     Pyongyang, December 13 (KCNA) -- At least 60 elders of civic and public organizations of south Korea including the "National Alliance for Democracy and Reunification" reportedly held a press conference in Seoul on Dec. 9. At the press conference they accused gentry of the wicked conservative organizations of destroying the gravestones of unconverted long-term prisoners in Yonhwa Park in Pogwang Temple, Kwangthan-myon, Phaju City, Kyonggi Province and desecrating their remains on Dec. 5. We cannot repress our resentment at such extreme acts and violent attitude of the conservative forces including the Grand National Party of south Korea as depriving them of even the space to lie in state after their death, they declared.
    Such treacherous vandalism can never be pardoned under any circumstances, they said, strongly demanding the authorities repatriate unconverted long-term prisoners remaining in south Korea to the north as early as possible and promptly send back the remains of those dead ones to it. Four orders including Christianity, Buddhism and Round Buddhism organized a measure committee with religious organizations on Dec. 12 and declared that it would wage a campaign protesting against the vandalism of the conservative forces.

End to U.S. Domination and Interference Demanded

     Pyongyang, December 13 (KCNA) -- U.S. Internet homepage Minjok Thongsin on Dec. 7 carried an article of its editor under the title "Way for people to win victory in their struggle". The United States is now resorting to operations and intrigues while openly interfering in all fields of the south Korean society including politics, military affairs, economy and diplomacy, the article said, noting that the south Koreans can achieve the genuine democratization of the south Korean society only when they put an end to the U.S. imperialists' domination and interference.
    The workers, farmers, youths and students in the south have always waged a dynamic struggle against the U.S. interference and obstructions, turning south Korea into a region characterized by strong anti-U.S. actions, the article noted, and continued:
    The way for the south Korean people to win in their struggle is for all the patriotic forces to unite close around the ranks of those fighting against U.S. imperialism. This is the only way of retaking the vital rights of the people and achieving the reunification of the country, the cherished desire of the whole nation.

S. Korean Authorities' Servility to U.S. Condemned

     Pyongyang, December 13 (KCNA) -- The South Headquarters of the National Alliance for the Country's Reunification and the People for Achieving Peace and Reunification reportedly held a rally in Seoul on Dec. 7 to denounce the south Korean authorities' servility to the United States. Speakers at the rally accused the south Korean "government" authorities of working hard to clinch the issue of the "strategic flexibility" of the U.S. forces by way of conducting "prior consultation." This is little short of giving the U.S. forces in south Korea a license for operating overseas, they noted. The "strategic flexibility" of the U.S. forces in south Korea is aimed at threatening peace in the Korean Peninsula and Northeast Asia and turning this land into a forward base of the U.S. overseas aggression, they said, adding: The authorities in charge of diplomacy and security have discussed in camera the issues quite contrary to the interests of the people without opening to the public even their schedule. This only goes to prove that they exist to meet the U.S. interests only.
    They strongly demanded the authorities stop at once attempting to justify the overseas aggression of the U.S. forces in south Korea under the deceptive signboard of "prior consultation" aimed at realizing the "strategic flexibility".
    At the end of the rally its participants handed a letter of protest to a person concerned of the "Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade".

Anti-North Malarkey of U.S. Ambassador in Seoul Flailed

     Pyongyang, December 13 (KCNA) -- The Youth and Students Solidarity for Implementing the June 15 South-North Joint Declaration reportedly issued a statement on Dec. 8 to denounce the anti-north malarkey made by the U.S. ambassador in Seoul. Recalling that the U.S. ambassador let loose a string of balderdash that the north is a "criminal state" at a "seminar" on Dec. 7, the statement said that this is little short of representing the stand of the U.S. to go against the trend of the times in total breach of the basic spirit of the joint statement reached at the fourth round of the six-party talks.
    The U.S. is getting frantic in their hideous and political smear campaign against the north through financial sanctions and human rights racket, the statement said, and went on:
    The recent reckless remarks made by the U.S. ambassador are no more than outcries intended to give shots in the arms of the ultra-right conservative forces at home and abroad in a bid to incite confrontation between the south and the north from a new angle and bring under control the political situation unfavorable to the U.S.
    We strongly denounce the U.S. ambassador for his remarks intended to negate the joint statement adopted at the six-party talks and bring the atmosphere of reconciliation between the south and the north back to that of confrontation. We youths and students will join all other people in the dynamic struggle to expel the U.S. rulers from south Korea under the uplifted banner of anti-U.S. struggle.

Treacherous Act Has Neither Prescription Nor Pardon

     Pyongyang, December 13 (KCNA) -- The recently probed truth behind the "case of the People's Revolutionary Party" and the "case of the National Democratic Youth and Students League" in south Korea is no more than a tip of an iceberg but it shows that the days when injustice slaughters justice and treachery massacres patriotism came to an end and that the days had gone forever when the U.S. and its lackeys' smear campaign against the DPRK worked on, says a spokesman for the Central Committee of the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League in a statement on Monday. Because of these cases hatched up by the notorious "Yusin regime" patriotic youth and students and people of south Korea were branded as "traitors", subjected to bestial torture behind bars and sentenced to capital punishment for the mere reason the they demanded democracy against dictatorship and they were branded as "pro-communists" and "spies" and died on the gallows for the mere reason that they opposed flunkeyism and treachery and called for reunification, the statement said, and went on:
    In the era of darkness the south Korean youth and students could not think about even elementary human rights, to say nothing of genuine life and future.
    The remnants and descendants of the fascist dictatorship including the Grand National Party of south Korea are rampant in south Korea and are so brazen-faced to talk about the "nature of the system" and work hard to restore the old world. This is the last-ditch effort of the living dead who lived all their days.
    The gentry of the GNP, descendant of the "Yusin regime", should discard their foolish ambition to come to power again, make an apology for their crimes and be brought to a stern trial of history as demanded by the south Korean people.
    Anti-national crimes have neither prescription nor pardon.

Anti-DPRK Diatribe of U.S. Ambassador in Seoul Flayed

     Pyongyang, December 13 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the Central Committee of the Democratic Front for the Reunification of the Fatherland in a statement on Monday bitterly flayed the U.S. ambassador in Seoul for slandering the DPRK as a "criminal state" some days ago. Denouncing his remarks in the name of the whole nation as a wanton provocation and debasement against the DPRK and an unpardonable perfidy diametrically running counter to the spirit of the joint statement adopted at the fourth round of the six-party talks, the statement said: The U.S. is putting forward even its ambassador in Seoul to pursue its hostile policy toward the DPRK with its criminal attempt to emasculate the pro-north movement for reunification daily growing in south Korea, block inter-Korean relations, stamp out the June 15 joint declaration and bring a dark cloud of confrontation and war to the sky above the Korean Peninsula.
    The U.S. should know that the remarks of the U.S. ambassador, "governor general" of a colony, will effuse more anti-American sentiment of the Korean people and the nation and will pay a high price for it.
    No matter how desperately the U.S. may try to let loose a spate of diatribe and slanders against the DPRK, it cannot stop all the Koreans from advancing toward independence and reunification in the idea of "By our nation itself".
    We will never pardon but resolutely cope with the reckless remarks of the U.S. ambassador in Seoul who slandered the state and political system of the DPRK, a symbol of the dignity and sovereignty of the nation, the whole of life and the most precious lifeline.

U.S. Branded as Principal Culprit Spreading Weapons of Mass Destruction

     Pyongyang, December 13 (KCNA) -- The United States is the mastermind of proliferation of nuclear and lethal weapons and the root cause of aggression and war, says Rodong Sinmun today in a signed commentary. Some days ago, about 300 kilograms of weapon-grade plutonium were missing at the Los Alamos National Laboratory in the U.S. Meanwhile, it was disclosed by the U.S. declassified document that the pretext for the last Vietnamese War had been cooked up.
    The recent loss of plutonium is a grave and unusual case that can never be buried, the commentary says, and goes on:
    It is unreasonable that the above-said missing was reported in the U.S. which has so far kept a close eye on the transfer of nuclear materials in other countries, taking issue with their peaceful nuclear activities.
    What is more serious is that the U.S. has transferred nuclear materials to other countries or zealously helped them produce nukes in contravention of international conventions.
    As already known, the U.S. handed over enriched uranium, which is usable to make nuclear weapons, to south Korea and Israel. It has also winked and encouraged Japan's storage of plutonium. The facts help guess where the recently lost plutonium has gone.
    The disclosed fabrication of the pretext for the Vietnam War evidently proves what a gangster-like and shameless method the U.S. imperialists have used to invade other countries.
    The U.S. should make a thoroughgoing probe into the above-said cases so as to bring them home to people at home and abroad.

Anti-DPRK Outcries of U.S. Ambassador in Seoul Flailed

     Pyongyang, December 13 (KCNA) -- The U.S. outcries terming the DPRK a "criminal state" along with its reckless remarks designating it as "part of an axis of evil" and an "outpost of tyranny." are premeditated provocative remarks intended to violate the Korean nation's right to existence and hamstring its efforts for independent reunification. Rodong Sinmun Tuesday observes this in a signed commentary blasting the U.S. ambassador in Seoul for making such outcries. What should not be overlooked is that those outcries are made at a time when the U.S. administration has escalated its pressure upon the DPRK by applying financial sanctions against it in contravention of the joint statement at the fourth round of the six-party talks, the commentary says, and goes on: The developments prove that the U.S. is deliberately bedeviling its relations with the DPRK in a bid to fundamentally overturn the spirit of the joint declaration and break up the talks.
    The U.S. once said it recognizes the DPRK as "a sovereign state" and "respects" it. Clearer is that the recent outpourings were nothing but tongue-rolling to deceive the public opinion. The reality goes to prove that the U.S. hostile policy toward the DPRK aimed to overturn its system remains unchanged. The U.S. should be held fully responsible for all the consequences to be entailed by its reckless remarks seriously getting on the nerves of the DPRK by calling it a "criminal state" and straining the bilateral relations.

American-style "Democracy" Blasted

     Pyongyang, December 13 (KCNA) -- Whoever is truly concerned for the destiny of his own country and the nation and that of humankind should resolutely oppose and reject American-style "democracy", says Rodong Sinmun Tuesday in an editorial article. It stands out as an important issue related to the destinies of the country and the nation and humankind to clearly see through the reactionary nature and injustice of American-style "democracy" and resolutely stand against it, the article notes, and goes on:
    American-style "democracy" is unpopular "democracy" representing the interests of a tiny handful of big monopoly capitalists. It is nothing but a fig-leaf for hiding their political suppression of the popular masses and their dictatorial rule over them.
    This "democracy" is crudely violating people's political freedom and right by dictatorship disguised as "democracy". The state power is in the hands of a handful of big monopoly conglomerates, not in the hands of the people in the U.S.
    The U.S. is a tyrannical country and a dictatorial kingdom in which people's socio-political activities are brutally suppressed. The number of the agents enrolled for suppressing progressive ideology totals about 200,000 and that of violent organizations more than 21,000 in the U.S. This country that boasts the "Statue of Liberty" is being fascistized to be a military and police country serving monopoly conglomerates under the signboard of "democracy". American-style "democracy" represents the plutocracy which decides everything by dint of money provided by a handful of those conglomerates. It is neither the president nor Congress that rules the American society. It is money which actually rules the American society. Money and power decide the president and Congressmen.
    It is an undeniable stark fact in the U.S. that one can become president and ruling party leader only when one gets more financial assistance from monopoly capital.
    Money precisely means the national policy in the U.S. Bourgeois politicians in the U.S. are no more than political waiting maids or puppets manipulated by the monopoly capitalists. All laws and decisions are to serve their interests. Unpopular policies such as huge defense budget are shaped to give a windfall to them and the demand for it is met with the taxes collected from the toiling masses. This is the true picture of the U.S. policy. "Democracy", "equality" and "human rights" allegedly called for by American-style "democracy" are just aimed to provide freedom and right to the monopoly capitalists to let them suppress and exploit the popular masses as they please, gain profits and exercise influence.
    This democracy is a hypocritical one as it has reduced the people's desire and right to freedom and equality to a plaything of a few billionaires. Herein lies the unpopular nature of American-style "democracy."
    This democracy is inhuman and unethical one as it blocks the sound development of human beings. This is reactionary one because it beautifies the corrupt American lifestyle under the pretext of "freedom" and spreads animal-like "absolute freedom" and "equality" diametrically running counter to the intrinsic nature of man as a social being throughout the society in a bid to animalize him.
    U.S.-style "democracy" serves as a hotbed of creating animal-like lifestyle subject to a jungle law.
    The American society is reducing people into beasts and animal-like beings who do not stoop to any infamy to meet their own interests. Americans only think of themselves and the strong sacrifices the weak in pursuance of their own ease, pleasure and profits.
    U.S.-style democracy is like poison that degenerates people into the worst type.
    It is American-style "democracy" that has turned the U.S. into the world's kingpin of drug smuggling and a den of degenerates and gamblers under the motto of "absolute liberty." It encourages Americans in carnal instinct, sexual urge and corruption and irregularities under the signboard of "liberty." This is a crime against humanity as it benumbs people's consciousness of independence, corrupts them mentally and morally and reduces them to slaves obedient to the reactionary ruling system.
    U.S.-style "democracy" represents a criminal political mode of making people illiterates.
    Many Americans are being reduced to political illiterates who are utterly indifferent to their country and nation and society and the collective. All sorts of reactionary and corrupt ideologies and cultures flood the American society under the pretext of "freedom of thinking" and religious "freedom" and thus paralyze people's sound mentality.
    This democracy is also super-power-style "democracy" aimed to Americanize the world.
    The "spread of freedom and democracy" touted by the U.S. rulers is, in essence, aimed to realize their dominationist ambition to convert the world into a uni-polar world dominated by the U.S.
    This theory is gangster-like logic to Americanize the world by interfering in the internal affairs of other countries and nations. The U.S., styling itself a "judge of democracy" responsible for the practice of democracy in other countries, tries to interfere deep in the internal affairs of other countries in a bid to Americanize the social systems of those countries.
    The principle of democracy is of universal nature and it, therefore, does not allow the application of double standards. The U.S. divided the world into pro-U.S. countries and anti-U.S. ones to pull up those anti-U.S. countries over the lack of democracy without any justifiable reason. It has openly interfered in the internal affairs of progressive countries under such absurd pretexts as "election issue" "human rights issue" and "religious issue", taking a double-dealing attitude towards the issues to serve its own interests. It, at the same time, launched the offensive of "color revolution" against some countries, complaining about "retreat in democracy" and the like. U.S.-style "democracy" is a harsh policy for exterminating other nations as it is aimed at assimilating their peoples to Americans and thus Americanize the world.
    There can be no Americanization of the world in political, economic, cultural and all other aspects now that every country and nation is carving out its own destiny under its own system guided by its own ideology.
    This "democracy" serves as a lever for perpetrating open aggression and plunder of other countries in a bid to Americanize the world by force. The "war against terrorism" is a product of the U.S. imperialists' unilateral military high-handed policy and a new doctrine for aggression to spread the American-style "democracy" to other parts of the world.
    The U.S. launched the "war against terrorism" with the September 11 incident as a momentum. It has painted brigandish aggression of sovereign states as one for defending "democracy." The U.S. imperialists' "war against terrorism" is nothing but a slogan for aggression and plunder. The Iraqi war clearly proved that the U.S. imperialists are the most hideous war fanatics, man-killers and plunders who mercilessly violate the sovereign rights of independent states under the signboard of American-style "democracy" to meet their interests.
    The U.S. "war against terrorism" has become the root cause of human rights abuses, division of countries and ethnic and tribal conflicts. American-style "democracy" brings decline and ruin of countries and nations and mankind, not their progress. The U.S. is the empire of all evils as it threatens global peace and security.
    Nothing can cover up the reactionary nature, hypocrisy and injustice of American-style "democracy."
    The U.S. imperialists are working hard to spread its democracy to the DPRK. By spreading "democracy" they foolishly seek to realize the ambition for aggression which it has failed to do by force in the past.
    It has recently escalated the offensive of pressure upon the DPRK after enacting even the "North Korean Human Rights Act" aimed at a "regime change" in it. No matter how vociferously the U.S. imperialists may talk about the above-said "democracy" it will never work on the army and people of the DPRK. The Korean people have the most advantageous socialist democracy of their own style chosen by themselves. It is an unshakable will of the Workers' Party of Korea and the people of the DPRK to defend the people-centered "democracy" of Korean-style under the uplifted banner of Songun. American-style "democracy" is bound to go bankrupt due to its reactionary nature and injustice.

Hooliganism in S. Korea Assailed

     Pyongyang, December 13 (KCNA) -- Gangsters of ultra-rightist conservative groups in south Korea mercilessly destroyed gravestones of unconverted long-term prisoners. Minju Joson today in a commentary denounces it as a thrice-cursed anti-national and anti-reunification crime.
    A few days before the case, clan of the "Grand National Party", taking issue with the location of the graveyard of unconverted long-term prisoners, asserted at a party executive meeting that it was little short of totally negating the "nature of the system" to praise the unconverted long-term prisoners as pro-reunification patriotic martyrs.
    Commenting on it, the news analyst further says:
    This goes to eloquently prove that the recent hooliganism was perpetrated at the open instigation of the GNP and on its scenario. The GNP and other anti-reunification pro-American conservatives spent much money to take off rust and repaint the statue of MacArthur, ringleader of aggression and massacre, removal of which has been demanded by the entire nation. But they are seeking to remove the graveyard of pro-reunification patriotic martyrs. This anti-national crime can never be pardoned.

Meeting Held to Mark 20th Anniversary of Kim Jong Il's Work

     Pyongyang, December 13 (KCNA) -- A meeting took place here today to mark the 20th anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's famous work "On Stepping Up the Work of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea". Chairman Kang Chang Uk of the Central Committee of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea, in his report at the meeting said that Kim Jong Il in the work gave a comprehensive exposition of the nature and duty of the union, supreme principles of building it and its activities, tasks of the union and ways of carrying them out and other theoretical and practical problems arising in building of the union and its activities. In the work Kim Jong Il formulated the union as a mass political organisation of socialist agricultural workers and underscored the need to rally the farmers closer around the Workers' Party of Korea and encourage them to a drive to build a socialist countryside and increase agricultural production, he said, and went on:

    It, with an area of 280,000 square meters, has more than 10 warehouses (each covering over 400 square meters), open-air stores (each covering 4,000 square meters) and storehouses for various purposes.
    Various kinds of commodities brought in by more than 20 companies of China are now displayed and jointly sold in the market.
    The corporation has its branch companies and warehouses in major industrial areas, provincial seats, main ports such as Nampho, Songrim, Wonsan and Chongjin Ports and border railway stations.
    It promotes trade, joint venture, joint collaboration and investment with many countries in Europe, Southeast Asia, Africa, Americas, near and middle East and the rest of the world.

The meeting reviewed the achievements made by people's security persons in their struggle to defend the gains of the revolution and the socialist country in the past under the wise guidance of the Workers' Party of Korea and the leader and discussed tasks to be implemented to strengthen the work to ensure people's security and reliably defend Korean-style socialism by law and ways to do so.
    Yang Hyong Sop, vice-president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly, conveyed a historic letter sent by Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army Kim Jong Il to the participants.
    Minister of People's Security Ju Sang Song made a report at the meeting.
    President Kim Il Sung established the people's security institution with his clairvoyant wisdom after the liberation of the country, he said, adding that it was a shining fruition of his Juche-oriented line on building people's democratic dictatorial institution and a historic event of great significance in the struggle to defend the working people's cause of independence, the cause of socialism, politically and by law.
    The proud years covered by the institution since its establishment are a glorious history of the outstanding leadership of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il in which they laid down the most correct policy of class struggle and strategies and tactics in each period and at each stage of the developing revolution and wisely led the work for the people's security, the reporter said.
    He called on all people's security organs and persons to turn out in the struggle to devotedly safeguard Kim Jong Il and thoroughly implement the historic tasks he set forth in the letter.
    The reporter underscored the need for the people's security organs to enhance the function of the people's democratic dictatorship, intensify the law-abiding struggle, resolutely foil the imperialists' ideological and cultural poisoning and firmly consolidate the politico-ideological and class positions of socialism.
    He underlined the need for all people's security organs and persons to firmly equip themselves with the Juche-oriented view on war, prepare themselves to be a-match-for-a hundred soldiers firmly holding the arms of the revolution and defend the country and the life and property of the people from the enemies' moves to encroach upon them as required by the prevailing situation.
    The reporter called upon all the people's security persons to rally closer around Kim Jong Il and effect a new revolutionary surge in the work for people's security under the uplifted banner of the Juche idea, the red flag of the Songun revolution, and thus creditably fulfill their responsibility and duty. Speeches were made at the meeting.
    The speakers recalled that the people's security persons have covered the road of victory, firmly safeguarding the revolutionary cause of Juche, the socialist cause, politically true to the idea and guidance of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, protected the people's life and property and given fuller play to the advantages and vitality of the socialist country of Juche by strengthening the education in law-abiding and establishing a well-organized social order. They declared that all the people's security persons would firmly prepare themselves as the Songun revolutionary comrades who share the destiny with Kim Jong Il to the last and political defenders of the Party who reliably protect the wellbeing of the country and the people.

Kim Jong Il Gives Field Guidance to Newly Built Dock

     Pyongyang, December 13 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the National Defence Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, gave field guidance to the newly built Dock No. 2 at the Ryongnam Ship Repair Factory. He was accompanied by Pak Pong Ju, premier of the DPRK Cabinet. He was greeted on the spot by Kim Yong Il, minister of Land and Marine Transport, and leading officials of the factory.
    Dock No. 2 is a modern computerized large dock capable of repairing several ships of tens of thousands of tons simultaneously.
    Its repair processes have been furnished with uptodate equipment and put on an automation and IT basis to markedly shorten the period of ship repair and improve its quality, while saving a lot of manpower.
    In hearty response to the instruction given by Kim Jong Il to build Dock No. 2 to increase the ship repairing capacity the officials, workers and technicians of the Ministry of Land and Marine Transport have waged a high-pitched drive and thus wrought such miracle as successfully completing the vast construction projects including a big dock, three wharves to handle and repair large cargo ships, a combined repair shop, an acetylene generating shop, an oxygen generating shop, a heavy oil-fired power plant, a wind-power station and solar power station of peculiar style, houses for hundreds of families and cultural and welfare establishments in a matter of four years by their own efforts.
    He mounted an observation platform and commanded a bird's-eye view of the factory the appearance of which has changed beyond recognition. Going round the dock, he acquainted himself with its construction and operation.
    He highly appreciated the feats performed by the officials, workers and technicians of the Ministry of Land and Marine Transport, noting it is great success that they set an ambitious goal to build a ship repair base of eternal value by their own efforts and undertook the construction in a big way, thereby carrying out the vast task ahead of schedule and making a big contribution to the nation's economic development.
    The reconstructed and expanded Ryongnam Ship Repair Factory is of weighty importance in developing the nation's marine transport, he said, setting forth tasks to be fulfilled to manage and operate the factory.
    Noting that the factory is located in a good place and has a good prospect of its development, he underscored the need for it to have all processes necessary for the ship repair and actively introduce advanced technology in order to steadily boost the repair capacity.
    The factory should undertake the job of repairing foreign cargo ships, too, in the future as it has a big capacity, he said, adding that to this end it should have sufficient facilities to serve foreign crew members.
    Then he acquainted himself with how the Ministry of Land and Marine Transport constructed a new container terminal at Nampho port. He was greatly satisfied to learn that it has built a modern container terminal capable of handling cargo ships of tens of thousands of tons to increase the capacity of Nampho port to meet the growing demand for marine transport.
    Nampho port is one of the important trading ports of the country, he noted, underlining the need to step up the modernization of the port to steadily boost the transport capacity.

EE.UU. es culpable de proliferacion de las ADM, senala Rodong Sinmun

    　Pyongyang, 13 de diciembre (ATCC) -- El diario Rodong Sinmun publico en su edicion del dia 13 un comentario individual denunciando que Estados Unidos es el culpable de proliferacion de las armas nucleares y las de destruccion masiva y la causa de agresiones y guerras. Hace poco, fueron desaparecidos cerca de 300 kilogramos de plutonio para las armas nucleares del Laboratorio Nacional de Los Alamos de EE.UU. Coincidiendo con este incidente tan grave, se revelo a traves de un documento descifrado del mismo pais que fue inventado el pretexto que utilizaron los yanquis para desatar la guerra vietnamita, precisa el comentarista y prosigue:
    No se puede pasar por alto en ningun caso de la recien flotada desaparicion de plutonio. Es increible que quien cometio ese descuido tan grave es nada menos EE.UU. que siempre agudiza su optica a la transferencia de materias nucleares de otros paises acusando hasta las actividades nucleares de estos con fines pacificos.
    En realidad, el imperio las transfiere a otros paises o los ayuda activamente en la produccion de armas nucleares en clara violacion de convenciones internacionales.
    Ya es conocido por todos que EE.UU. habia entregado al Sur de Corea e Israel el plutonio enriquecido que sirve para la fabricacion de armas nucleares. Ademas, hace vista gorda y hasta estimula el almacenamiento de la misma sustancia por Japon.
    Si se tienen en cuenta estos hechos, es facil adivinar adonde fue desaparecido el plutonio de la citada entidad norteamericana.
    Por otra parte, la invencion del pretexto de la guerra vietnamita evidencia que los imperialistas yanquis se valen de metodos mas bandidescos y cinicos para agredir a otros paises.
    EE.UU. debe explicar los verdaderos aspectos de ambos casos hasta que todo el mundo quede bien convencido.

Atrevida provocacion, intolerable insulto

    　Pyongyang, 13 de diciembre (ATCC) -- El diario Rodong Sinmun inserto en su edicion del dia 13 un comentario individual refutando las palabras arrogantes del embajador norteamericano acreditado en el Sur de Corea que califico a la Republica Popular Democratica de Corea del "estado criminal". 　La definicion de la RPDC como "estado criminal" por el embajador estadounidense junto con los ya divulgados terminos "eje del mal" y "base avanzada de la tirania" es una provocacion para acabar con el derecho a la subsistencia y la causa de reunificacion independiente de la nacion coreana, senala el comentario y prosigue:
    Lo que no podemos pasar por alto es que la blasfemia recien pronunciada por el embajador yanqui coincide en tiempo con el hecho de que la administracion norteamericana eleva mas el grado de presion sobre la RPDC aplicando la sancion financiera contra esta en desacato a la Declaracion Conjunta de la cuarta ronda de conversaciones a 6 bandas.
    La evolucion de la situacion prueba que EE.UU. empeora premeditadamente sus relaciones con la RPDC para rehusar el espiritu fundamental de la Declaracion Conjunta de la cuarta ronda de conversaciones a 6 bandas y llevarlas al fracaso.
    En un tiempo, EE.UU. gasto la saliva hablando de "estado soberano" y "respeto" con respecto a la RPDC. Ahora se hizo evidente que esto no pasa de ser palabreria para enganar la opinion publica. La realidad demuestra que la politica de EE.UU. para hostilizar y derrocar la RPDC no ha cambiado ni en lo minimo. EE.UU. debe asumir la entera responsabilidad de la consecuencia que emane de su perorata de "estado criminal" con que irrita gravemente la RPDC y empeoro sus relaciones con esta.

Rodong Sinmun aboga por rechazar "democracia" al estilo de EE.UU.

    　Pyongyang, 13 de diciembre (ATCC) -- En un articulo insertado en su edicion del dia 13 el diario Rodong Sinmun subrayo que hay que rechazar tajantemente la "democracia" al estilo yanqui para defender el destino del pais, la nacion y la humanidad. Ante todo, se debe calar bien la esencia reaccionaria y lo injusto de ella, comienza el rotativo y prosigue:
    Esta "democracia" antipopular representa solo los intereses de un punado de los grandes monopolistas porque es un falso ropaje para ocultar la represion politica y la dictadura de estos contra las masas populares.
    Pues en EE.UU., donde el poder estatal esta en manos de los grandes monopolios, la libertad politica y los derechos de las masas populares son violados flagrantemente por la dictadura disfrazada de "democracia".
    En este pais conocido como el estado mas tirano del mundo, operan cerca de 200 mil agentes y mas de 21 mil organizaciones de gangsters que se ocupan de reprimir las ideas progresistas y las actividades socio-politicas de las masas populares.
    Es decir, el pais de la "estatua de libertad" se va convirtiendose en un pais de militares y policias que defienden solo a los grandes monopolios bajo la amanada consigna de "democracia".
    Tal "democracia" al estilo gringo es la politica del todopoderoso dinero.
    Quien gobierna a EE.UU. no es el presidente ni el congreso sino el dolar. Es una realidad innegable de la Norteamerica que si un individuo o una entidad politica son financiados mas que otros por los capitalistas monopolistas, tienen mas posibilidades de convertirse en el presidente, un congresista y el partido gobernante.
    El dinero decide la politica estatal de EE.UU.
    　Los politiqueros burgueses de este pais no pasan de ser doncellas politicas y titeres que se mueven por el hilo que manejan los capitalistas monopolistas. Ademas, todos los decretos y resoluciones de EE.UU. se trazan para los intereses de aquellos. Para dar fabulosos lucros a estos, los politicos norteamericanos elaboran las politicas antipopulares como el astronomico presupuesto de defensa y lo cubren con impuestos que tributaron las masas trabajadoras a costa de tanta sangre y sudor.
    Aunque la "democracia" al estilo norteamericano aboga mucho por la "libertad", la "igualdad" y los "derechos humanos", los concede solo a la minoria de los capitalistas monopolistas para que estos puedan enriquecerse mas y mas explotando a su antojo a amplias masas populares y proceder con mas prerrogativas.
    Pues la esencia antipopular de esa hipocrita "democracia" reside en que esta sacrifico la aspiracion y el derecho a la libertad e igualdad de las masas populares para los intereses de unos millonarios.
    Ademas, esta inhumana y anti-etica "democracia" impide el desarrollo sano del ser humano.
    Bajo el pretexto de "libertad", defiende el corrupto modo de vida norteamericano y convierte en un animal al ser humano al difundir en la sociedad la "libertad absoluta" e "igualdad" que contravienen totalmente a los atributos sociales de este.
    Asimismo, al propagar el modo de vida igual a la ley de selva, deforma a las personas en unas bestias que para sus intereses personales recurren a todos los medios y metodos. Por eso, los norteamericanos solo piensan en las comodidades, gozo y enriquecimiento de si mismos y son adeptos a la ley de los mas fuertes.
    Bajo el pretexto de la "libertad absoluta", la "democracia" al estilo yanqui genera nidos de drogadictos, perversos y jugadores al azar y fomenta la pornografia, el libertinaje y otros instintos animales.
    Este crimen anti-etico convierte a las masas populares en esclavos sumisos al sistema de dominacion reaccionaria al corromper su conciencia independiente y deformarlas en lo espiritual y moral.
    En tanto, a causa de este criminal modo politico, que embrutece al ser humano, muchos norteamericanos se hacen analfabetos politicos que no saben nada de la patria, la nacion, la sociedad y la colectividad.
    Las corruptas y reaccionarias ideas y culturas, escudadas por la "libertad" de ideas y religion, corroen cada vez mas el sano mundo espiritual de las personas.
    La "democracia" al estilo de la superpotencia pretende americanizar a todo el mundo.
    La "libertad" y la "proliferacion de democracia", de que habla tanto la capa gobernante de EE.UU., son en su esencia la expresion del dominacionismo consistente en hacer del globo terraqueo un mundo unipolar al mando de la superpotencia.
    Al mismo tiempo, esta doctrina bandidesca aboga por la intervencion en asuntos internos de otros paises y naciones.
    Al arrogarse el papel del "juez internacional" encargado de la democracia de todos los paises, EE.UU. intenta transformar al estilo norteamericano el sistema social de un pais determinado al meter su mano en asuntos internos de este.
    Los principios democraticos tienen el caracter general y no permiten la pauta de doble rasero. Sin embargo, el imperio clasifica el mundo en los paises proyanquis y en los antiyanquis y cuestiona absurdamente la democracia de estos ultimos. Ademas, partiendo de su posicion de doble rasero, interviene abiertamente en asuntos internos de los paises progresistas acusandolos del "sistema electoral" y los problemas de "DDHH y religion".
    En el mismo sentido, lanza una supuesta "ofensiva revolucionaria de colores" en algunos paises con la justificacion del "retroceso de la democracia". Por otra parte, la controvertida "democracia" es una brutal politica de exterminio de otras naciones para americanizar el mundo al naturalizarlas como norteamericanas.
    Pero, esta idea es imposible en todas las esferas sociales como la politica, economia y cultura porque cada pais y nacion forjan su destino con sus propias ideas y sistemas.
    Por ultimo, la "democracia" al estilo gringo es un instrumento de agresion y saqueo para americanizar el mundo con el uso de las fuerzas armadas. En ese contexto, la "guerra antiterrorista" es un producto de unilateralismo y despotismo militar de los imperialistas yanquis y otra doctrina de agresion para propagar al mundo con las fuerzas armadas la "democracia" al estilo yanqui.
    Sin embargo, los imperialistas norteamericanos, quienes la iniciaron tras el "incidente del 11 de septiembre", justifican la agresion contra los estados soberanos con la "defensa de la democracia". Pero, la "cruzada antiterrorista" es de punta a cabo la consigna de agresion y saqueo. La guerra iraqui es una fiel muestra de que los imperialistas yanquis son los belicosos, asesinos y saqueadores de pesima calana quienes para sus intereses egoistas violan la soberania de otros paises con el garrote de la "democracia" al estilo gringo.
    Empero, lo que ocasiona la "guerra antiterrorista" es la violacion de DDHH, el separatismo y el conflicto entre las naciones y etnias. Evidentemente dicho, la "democracia" produce solo la decadencia de los paises y naciones y el retroceso de la especie humana.
    EE.UU. es el imperio del mal que amenaza la paz y la seguridad del mundo.
    Hoy dia, los imperialistas norteamericanos maniobran porfiadamente para proliferar esa "democracia" a nuestro pais. Parece que de esta manera quieren satisfacer su irrealizada ambicion de agredir a nuestro pais con las fuerzas armadas.
    Ultimamente, recrudecen su ofensiva impactante al aprobar hasta la "ley de DDHH del Norte de Corea" encaminada a derrocar el sistema de este. Pero, el ejercito y el pueblo de nuestro pais nunca se dejan enganar por esa "democracia", por mucho que los imperialistas yanquis hablen de ella. En nuestro pais existe la mas ventajosa democracia socialista al estilo coreano que eligieron las mismas masas populares. Es invariable la voluntad del partido y el pueblo de defenderla firmemente con la bandera del Songun (priorizacion militar) en alto.
    La "democracia" al estilo yanqui no podra evitar fracaso total por su caracter reaccionario e injusto.
