Korean People's Cause of National Reunification Supported
Pyongyang, January 5 (KCNA) -- The Afro-Asian People's Solidarity Organization made public a statement in support of the Korean people's cause of national reunification on Dec. 26 last year.
The Koreans are making efforts to bring earlier national reunification through reconciliation and cooperation, the statement said, and continued:
Korea should be reunified on the principle of independence, peaceful reunification and great national unity free from the interference of outside forces as desired by all the Koreans in the near future and the concrete wall, a symbol of national division, should be pulled down.
We always support the just cause of the Korean people to defend the peace of the Korean Peninsula and reunify the country and hold that the foreign troops should be pulled back from south Korea as demanded by the Koreans and the people of the rest of the world.
Reception Hosted by Secretary of People's Bureau of Libya
Pyongyang, January 5 (KCNA) -- Bashir Ramadan Khalifa Abu Janah, secretary of the people's bureau of Libya here, who is doyen of the diplomatic corps here, gave a reception Wednesday evening on the occasion of the New Year Juche 95 (2006).
Present there on invitation were Kim Hyong Jun, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, Ri Myong San, vice-minister of Foreign Trade, and officials concerned and diplomatic envoys of various countries here.

U.S. New Military Strategy for Expansion of "Anti-terrorist War" under Fire
Pyongyang, January 5 (KCNA) -- The "report on four-year defense strategy" called "1421" which was approved by U.S. Defense Secretary Rumsfeld is an extremely dangerous war scenario aimed at making effective use of the experience gained by the United States in its aggressive military actions after the end of the Cold War to launch a more active and offensive "anti-terrorist war" in different areas of the world.
Rodong Sinmun today says this in a signed article. It goes on:
What merits a special attention in the "report" is that the U.S. is seeking its military intervention in various areas of the world and win-win strategy and "complete occupation" of a "hostile state".
As shown in its content, the U.S. new military strategy is a very dangerous war strategy to realize its world supremacy by the method of further intensifying its military intervention and war of aggression in the future under the pretext of "anti-terrorist war".
In realizing its military strategy the Bush administration designated the DPRK and other countries as the main targets of "anti-terrorist war". The main targets of the U.S attack at present are the DPRK, Iran, Cuba, etc. which it singled out as "part of an axis of evil" and "outposts of tyranny". The U.S. belligerent forces are planning to contain these countries by force of arms.
Particularly, the U.S. imperialists are considering the DPRK as the main target of their attack.
The U.S. neo-conservatives are letting loose a string of balderdash that a war may break out in the Korean Peninsula if the six-party talks are futile. Such open outbursts were prompted by their real intention to swallow up the DPRK by force of arms, not to peacefully settle the nuclear issue. The U.S. strategic attempt is to pursue its new military strategy first in the Korean Peninsula.
The prevailing situation requires the DPRK to more firmly build up its military deterrent to prepare itself to beat back any aggression by the U.S. imperialists. We will continue to strengthen physical deterrent to cope with the U.S. ever mounting moves to stifle the DPRK by force of arms.
The U.S. should give up its dangerous war strategy seeking to plunge humankind into a sanguinary disaster.
Treacherous Move of Pro-U.S. Ultra-Right Conservatives under Fire
Pyongyang, January 5 (KCNA) -- The Youth and Students Solidarity for Implementing the June 15 South-North Joint Declaration in south Korea reportedly released a statement titled "We oppose the move of the pro-U.S. ultra-right conservatives to erect a statue of Walker" on Dec. 28 last year.
The statement referred to the fact that the despicable pro-U.S. sycophancy of the ultra-right conservatives such as the "Grand National Party" has gone beyond the tolerance limit.
Accusing the ultra-right conservatives of contemplating the erection of a statue of Walker, commander of the U.S. 8th Army during the Korean War, who massacred civilians in cold blood, in Taegu, the statement termed their move a treacherous act little short of double murder of those Koreans killed by the U.S. imperialists, not satisfied with their cursed action taken to block the removal of the statue of MacArthur in Inchon.
The statement declared that the above-said organization would mete out a severe punishment to the pro-U.S. ultra-right conservatives and frustrate their move to erect the statue without fail.
Murder Case of Peasants under Fire
Pyongyang, January 5 (KCNA) -- The South Headquarters of the National Alliance for the Country's Reunification reportedly issued a commentary titled "The government should not mislead the murder case of peasants" on Dec. 27 last year.
Referring to the fact that the "government" made public on the same day a "message of apology to the people" for the murder case of peasants by riot police, the commentary said it is a message of apology in name only and an arrogant warning letter to shift all the responsibility on to the peasants and worsen the murder case.
The "government" assertion that the death of the two peasants was the misfortune caused by the demonstration of violence shows that the apology is a farfetched and formal apology, the commentary said, adding that the action of the "government" trampling down upon the simple desire of the peasants to live with land is the root cause of the death of the two peasants.
The commentary expressed the will to continue the struggle to foil the U.S. policy of rice market opening and neo-liberalism in order that the death of the two peasants should not be in vain.
Anniversary of Kim Jong Il's Work Marked
Pyongyang, January 5 (KCNA) -- Leader Kim Jong Il's famous work "Let Us Intensify Party Work and Dynamically Push Ahead with Socialist Construction" published on January 5, Juche 80 (1991) is an important work indicating the way of bringing about an uninterrupted surge in socialist construction even under the difficult situation of the revolution.
Rodong Sinmun today says this in a signed article.
It goes on:
Clarified in the work are the issue of preparing all party members as fighters who are devoting their all to the Party and the leader, the issue of bringing about a new surge in economic construction and other ideas and theories. They have served as precious guidelines as they clearly indicated the way of effecting a great upswing in the revolution and construction holding high the banner of socialism without the slightest vacillation even under any rigorous conditions.
The publication of the work helped consolidate the DPRK's single-minded unity in every way, thoroughly establish Juche in the revolution and construction and bring about a turn in the spiritual world of all the people and their work style.

Commemorations held in Peru
Pyongyang, January 5 (KCNA) -- Receptions, lectures, seminars, film shows, reading sessions and art performances were held by different political parties and organizations in Peru from Dec. 19 to 24 last year in commemoration of the 14th anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's assumption of office as supreme commander of the Korean People's Army and the 88th birth anniversary of anti-Japanese war hero Kim Jong Suk.
At film shows Korean films "The Great Leader Comrade Kim Jong Il Gives On-the-spot Guidance to Work in Different Fields", "The Brilliant History of the Great Leadership", "The Korean People's Army, Steel-like Ranks" and "The New Feature of Korea" were screened.
Genaro Ledesma Izquieta, chairman of the People's Front of Workers, Peasants and Students of Peru, said in his speech at a reception that all the members of the People's Front respect Kim Jong Il, supreme leader of the DPRK, and express full support and sympathy to his Songun politics.

Korean People Turn out for Hopeful Future
Pyongyang, January 5 (KCNA) -- The joint editorial issued by Rodong Sinmun, Josoninmingun and Chongnyonjonwi on the occasion of the New Year Juche 95 (2006) set forth the slogan "Make another leap forward in building a great prosperous powerful socialist nation on the strength of Songun!" as a militant slogan which should be held high by the servicepersons and people of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
The Korean people, full of great ambition and confidence, are making redoubled efforts for hopeful future.
Though the national economy and the people's living are still difficult, they, solidly rallied around leader Kim Jong Il, continue to vigorously advance without any pessimism and discouragement.
Last year a fresh progress was made in the agricultural production, monumental edifices including the Taean Friendship Glass Factory and Paekma-Cholsan Waterway were built in different parts of the country and the economy was put on a rising track as a whole.
Witnessing miracles and changes that have taken place in the economic sector in recent years, they came to have the firm conviction that the day of prosperity and happiness is sure to come before long. Songun Politics Studied Worldwide
Pyongyang, January 5 (KCNA) -- Support for the Songun politics of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea is ever growing throughout the world.
Last year witnessed a worldwide campaign to study and implement the Songun politics of leader Kim Jong Il.
The international federation of societies for the study of the Juche idea and Songun politics in the East European-Central Asian region was inaugurated in Sankt-Petersburg in September last.
It comprises ten regional organizations and groups of eight countries in East Europe and Central Asia.
The Italian Committee for the Study of the Songun Idea for Independence and Sovereignty, the Indian Study Group of Songun Politics and other similar groups have been formed in different regions and countries.
Brisk activities to study and widely disseminate the Songun politics were conducted in various forms and ways.
Study groups of Songun politics and organizations highly praised the Songun politics as the banner of victory of the human cause of independence in the new century. They opened internet homepages to explain and disseminate it in a profound way and briskly conducted study and dissemination activities.
The U.S. Group for the Study of Songun Politics opened the internet homepage on the New Year's Day of last year and edited special write-up with articles and photos introducing the Songun leadership of Kim Jong Il and the essence, validity and vitality of the Songun politics.
Political parties and social organizations in Russia, Peru, Britain, United States and various other countries also inputted similar materials into internet homepages.
The National Liaison Council of the Japan Society for Study of Kim Jong Il's Works diffused the Songun politics through the magazine "Juche Idea" every month.
Meanwhile, mass media of many countries did not stint time and space of papers in introducing the Songun politics.
The world conference on the cause of independence against imperialism in the 21st century was held in Caracas, capital of Venezuela, from September 30 to October 1 last year. The participants in the conference unanimously laid stress on making the 21st century a century of brilliant victory in the cause of independence against imperialism under the banner of the Songun politics.

Viendo una obra artistica que describe al Presidente Kim Il Sung hallandose entre los profesores, empleados y estudiantes de la universidad, dijo que bajo la sabia direccion y atencion profunda del Presidente, este plantel docente se formo como el centro supremo para la formacion del personal cientifico y tecnico del pais y anadio que las inmortales hazanas revolucionarias del Presidente brillaran eternamente con la universidad.
Ante todo, el Dirigente visito la nueva biblioteca electronica.
Esta biblioteca con mas de 16 mil metros cuadrados de superficie arquitectonica esta computerizada desde el registro del catalogo de libros hasta la lectura de libros y datos y las lecciones.
Luego de escuchar explicaciones ante un dibujo panoramico, recorrio el interior y el exterior de la biblioteca incluyendo la sala de presentacion de libros, las de lecturas, la de lecciones a distancia y la de control de aparato servidor para enterarse en detalle del estado de la construccion, los equipos y la administracion y se mostro muy satisfecho de la perfeccion magnifica de la biblioteca moderna que refleja la fisonomia de la sociedad ideal a que imaginaba el pueblo coreano.
Senalo que esta biblioteca acondicionada comodamente para el estudio e investigacion de los profesores, empleados y estudiantes es un patrimonio valioso de eterna duracion, presento las tareas que se presentan en la administracion y gestion de la biblioteca e ilumino la orientacion y los medios concretos para perfeccionarla con vistas al futuro en la sobresaliente en el mundo.
Acto seguido, recorrio la exposicion de logros cientificos y tecnicos en la biblioteca. Expreso gran satisfaccion de que los profesores, empleados y estudiantes del plantel docente, llenos de ardiente patriotismo, lograron exitos que puedan contribuir al desarrollo de la economia, la ciencia y la tecnica del pais y les dio su agradecimiento.
El Dirigente recorrio el gimnasio construido nuevamente.
Se mostro muy regocijado de que hayan construido magnificamente el gran gimnasio donde puedan realizar competencias deportivas de varias disciplinas, ejercicios deportivos, funcion artistica y reunion y presento las tareas que se presentan en la administracion y gestion.
Son magnificos los disenos y la construccion de la biblioteca electronica y el gimnasio, dijo el Dirigente y aprecio los meritos de los constructores que levantaron con la abnegacion patriotica los dos edificios y de los quienes brindaron apoyo a la construccion y les dio agradecimiento.

Rodong Sinmun revela el caracter agresivo de "1421"
@Pyongyang, 5 de enero (ATCC) -- El "informe de la estrategia cuatrienal de defensa", aprobado por el secretario de Defensa norteamericano Rumsfeld, es un plan sumamente peligroso de EE.UU. para lanzar una "guerra antiterrorista" mas activa y ofensiva en varias regiones del mundo haciendo uso de las experiencias adquiridas en sus acciones militares agresivas emprendidas despues del termino de la Guerra Fria.
Revela asi el diario Rodong Sinmun en un articulo individual del dia 5 y prosigue:
Lo mas llamativo del informe denominado en breve como "1421" radica en la intervencion militar en varias regiones del mundo, el cumplimiento simultaneo de 2 guerras y la "ocupacion total" de un "pais hostil".
Como delata su contenido, la nueva estrategia militar de EE.UU. pretende satisfacer la ambicion de dominar el mundo al extender mas en lo adelante la intervencion armada y la guerra de agresion bajo el subterfugio de la "cruzada antiterrorista".
A fin de ejecutarla, la administracion Bush ya habia fijado como blancos principales de la "guerra antiterrorista" a la Republica Popular Democratica de Corea, Iran, Cuba y otros paises calificados por EE.UU. del "eje del mal" y "vanguardias de la tirania".
En particular, la RPDC es el blanco no. uno del ataque de EE.UU. porque este quiere ensayar primero su nueva estrategia belica "1421" en la Peninsula Coreana.
Por lo tanto, las fuerzas neoconservadoras de EE.UU. anuncian abiertamente la inminencia de una guerra en la Peninsula Coreana cuando fracasen las conversaciones a 6 bandas revelando asi su siniestra intencion de tomar a la RPDC con las fuerzas armadas, lejos de resolver el problema nuclear por via pacifica.
La situacion dada obliga a la RPDC a prepararse para rechazar cualquier tipo de agresion de los imperialistas norteamericanos al hacer mas potentes sus fuerzas militares para detener la guerra.
Por eso, la RPDC seguira fortaleciendo sus fuerzas fisicas frente a las cada vez mas abiertas maniobras de EE.UU. encaminadas a aplastarla por via militar.
EE.UU. debe renunciar a su peligrosisima estrategia belica que puede afligir a la humanidad desastres sangrientos.
