New Hot Spring Found on Lake Chon of Mt. Paektu

    Pyongyang, May 30 (KCNA) -- A combined team to explore Lake Chon on Mt. Paektu succeeded in finding out a new hot spring on the lake. It already discovered a spring containing sodium bicarbonate of good quality and efficacious for medical treatment around the shore of the lake at the foot of Janggun Peak in the winter of Juche 73 (1984). Later the spring was named Paektu Hot Spring.
    In the course of intensive survey and expedition the members of the team found out a spring of 47.5 degrees centigrade at the foot of Rakwon Peak not far from the place where Janggun Peak, Hyangdo Peak and Haebal Peak stand in a row.
    The spring also contains sodium bicarbonate of good quality and efficacious for medical treatment.
    The recent discovery of the spring is very instrumental in studying the geographical features of the lake to add shine to the natural and geographical treasure of the country.

Study Organization Inaugurated in Ukraine

    Pyongyang, May 30 (KCNA) -- The Ukrainian Association of Journalists and Men of Culture for the Study of Kimjongilism, "Sun of Juche", was formed with due ceremony in Kiev on May 5. A congratulatory speech was made at the ceremony by Nikolai Polishk, chairman of the Ukrainian "Treasured Sword of Songun" Association for the Study of the Juche Idea.

British Association Posts Special Write-ups on Internet

    Pyongyang, May 30 (KCNA) -- The British Association for the Study of the Songun Policy posted on Internet homepage a special write-up titled "By establishing the great tradition of great national unity" with a photo of President Kim Il Sung in the period of the anti-Japanese armed struggle. The write-up said that 70 years have passed since Kim Il Sung founded the Association for the Restoration of the Fatherland, the first organization of the anti-Japanese national united front in Korea, adding that he is the peerless patriot who rallied broad masses to achieve the liberation of the country through an all-out resistance.
    It quoted a south Korean media article as highly praising his exploits of great national unity. "Assault on Pak Kun Hye" Branded as GNP's Self-Organized Terrorism

    Pyongyang, May 30 (KCNA) -- The South Headquarters of the National Alliance of Youth and Students for the Country's Reunification (Pomchonghakryon) reportedly made public a statement titled "Assault on Pak Kun Hye is GNP's self-organized terrorism" on May 26. The "assault" on Pak Kun Hye, representative of the Grand National Party of south Korea, on May 20 was a fraudulent drama, a political plot committed by the U.S. and pro-American conservative forces, the statement said, and went on:

According to investigation made by the south Korean police, he forged 20 U.S. dollar notes with the help of a computer and laser printer at his billet inside the unit before using them.
    This fact goes to prove that any American soldier can perpetrate such illegal act without difficulty as he pleases.

    Based on this success, the government has built a unit specializing in extracting tetrodotoxin from puffer venom.
    Tetrodotoxin produced in the unit is being widely used in the fields of physiology and pharmacology.
    The puffer tetrodotoxin is efficacious for treating various kinds of diseases.
    The clinical tests of the tetrodocaine injection, puffer tuberculosis injection and other medicines made with tetrodotoxin have proved successful in the treatment of many diseases over the last decades.
    In particular, the tetrodocaine injection (120MIU/1ml) is potent for the treatment of nasal cancer, pharyngeal cancer and cancer of the esophagus.
    The application of the puffer tuberculosis injection (80MIU/2ml) alone is very effective against tuberculosis.

Accusing the GNP, which has more seats of major provincial and city governors than what all other parties and independents have, of using pro-American conservative media for staging even a charade to build up public opinion sympathetic with the GNP, the commentary goes on:
    What should not be overlooked is that the GNP is spreading rumor that it can win a "sweeping victory" in the "election." This is nothing but a product of the wicked intention to make the GNP's sure victory an established fact and pressurize progressive forces for reform abstain from voting. Kim Jong Il Inspects KPA Unit 215

    Pyongyang, May 30 (KCNA) -- Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission, inspected KPA Unit 215 honored with the title of O Jung Hup-led Seventh Regiment.     Pyongyang, 30 de mayo (ATCC) -- Al publicar un comentario individual, el rotativo Minju Joson critico fuertemente este martes a la familia del actual canciller japones Aso revelando que esta acumulo sus bienes de ahora a costa de sangre y sudor de los extranjeros trasladados forzadamente a Japon para ser sometidos a duros trabajos. La historia de esta familia de vampiros es la parte reducida del expediente criminal de Japon que hasta hoy, a mas de medio siglo despues del fin de la Segunda Guerra Mundial, no ha indemnizado todavia a las victimas, precisa el comentarista y prosigue:
    Aunque Aso debe sentir verguenza de la deshonrada trayectoria de su familia y tomar una posicion purgatoria, no se considera estar moralmente endeudado.
    Al contrario, en su intento de encubrir o dar tinte bueno a esa trayectoria, cuando era ministro de administracion publica, se atrevio a afirmar que "no hubo el arresto forzado" y "Japon permitio el cambio de nombres y apellidos de los coreanos al estilo japones porque estos lo deseaban".
    Por supuesto, no es de esperar que el se haya cambiado si es nacido de esa familia de criminales, que debe ser condenada por todo el mundo.
    Es una tragedia para el circulo politico de Japon que los descendientes semejantes a Aso en la biografia familiar trataran de ponerse al frente de la politica.
    Entonces es facil adivinar cual rumbo va a tomar Japon donde se pasean libremente los descendientes de los criminales de guerra.
    Hasta hoy dia, este pais sigue siendo el enemigo jurado de la nacion coreana y el rival de la humanidad.
    El ejercito y el pueblo de Corea cobraran sin falta el precio de todas las perdidas y desprecios que en el pasado han infligido los imperialistas japoneses a los coreanos.
