Papers Call for Glorifying Feats Performed by Kim Il Sung in Victorious War
Pyongyang, July 27 (KCNA) -- Pyongyang-based papers Thursday in editorials dedicated to the 53rd anniversary of the victory in the great Fatherland Liberation War call for glorifying the great feats performed by President Kim Il Sung by winning the war under the uplifted banner of Songun.
Rodong Sinmun says that the great victory in the Fatherland Liberation War was a historic event that demonstrated the pluck and stamina of heroic Korea to defend the destiny of the country and the nation and deal merciless deadly blows at aggressors, adding that the victory in the war made the DPRK shed its rays to the world as an invincible power that defeated formidable U.S. imperialism.
Saying that the Fatherland Liberation War was a revolutionary war of great significance in the world history as it shattered to smithereens the myth of the "mightiness" of U.S. imperialism and brought the beginning of the downhill turn for them for the first time in the world, the editorial continues:
The shining victory the army and people of the DPRK won in the war was a noble fruition of the gifted military wisdom and outstanding commanding art of Kim Il Sung. His ever-changing tactics, persevering spirit of attack and matchless courage and pluck were decisive factors that made it possible for the army and people of the DPRK to take initiatives and create an undying heroic epic while dealing deadly blows at the aggressors throughout the war.
The Korean people will never forget the above-said feats of the President no matter how much water may flow under the bridge but eternally glorify them along with the ever-victorious history of Songun revolution.
Those feats serve as a precious boon of lasting value for the Korean revolution.
Unshakable is the faith of the army and people of the DPRK to firmly defend their ideology and system along the path chosen by themselves under the uplifted banner of Songun.
Strong is the pluck of the DPRK and bright is the future of the Korean-style cause of socialism as long as it is led by Kim Jong Il, illustrious commander of Mt. Paektu. He is the great defender and peerless patriot and the greatest general as he is firmly defending the destiny of the country and the nation with invincible arms, possessed of extraordinary military quality and commanding art no other great man can ever match.
The ever-victorious history of the Korean revolution will last forever as long as there are the seasoned and tested guidance of Kim Jong Il, the nation's powerful capacity for self-defence built for scores of years and the single-minded unity of the whole party and army stronger than a nuclear weapon.
Minju Joson calls for successfully carrying forward the great feats performed by Kim Il Sung in winning the war and thus firmly defend the sovereignty of the nation and dynamically step up the building of a great prosperous powerful socialist nation.
Stand of DPRK Government Supported by South African Party Leader
Pyongyang, July 27 (KCNA) -- The secretary of the Mfumalanga Provincial Committee of the South African Communist Party issued a statement on July 21 on the occasion of the 53rd anniversary of the victory of the Korean people in the great Fatherland Liberation War. He expressed full support and solidarity with the stand of the DPRK government to increase its war deterrent for self-defence in every way to cope with the hostile acts of the U.S.
The great victory won by the army and people of the DPRK by repulsing the armed invasion of the U.S.-led imperialist allied forces in the Fatherland Liberation War was a shining fruition of the gifted military strategy and outstanding commandership of President Kim Il Sung, he stressed.
Under the original Songun leadership of Kim Jong Il the DPRK has turned into an impregnable fortress which no formidable enemy can ever provoke, he said, stressing that the U.S. should not forget the disgrace it suffered in the Korean war and bear in mind that its start of another war would lead it to a self-destruction.
Korean People's Struggle Supported
Pyongyang, July 27 (KCNA) -- A political party of India and an organization of Austria issued statements on the occasion of the month of the anti-U.S. joint struggle (June 25-July 27).

The statement demanded the U.S. stop at once its moves to provoke a nuclear war and withdraw its forces from south Korea without delay.
The Central Committee of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) expresses firm solidarity with the Korean people's struggle to accelerate the independent and peaceful reunification of the country under the banner of the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration, it stressed.
The Group of Youth for the Study of Kim Jong Il Juche Idea in Vienna in a statement on July 22 resolutely denounced the U.S. moves for aggression against the peace-loving Korean people and expressed full support to the Korean people's struggle against U.S. imperialism.

Suppression of Patriotic Student under Fire in S. Korea
Pyongyang, July 27 (KCNA) -- The south Korean Federation of University Student Councils (Hanchongryon) reportedly issued a statement on July 21 denouncing the security authorities' suppression of a patriotic student.
Recalling that Hwang Kwang Min was walked away by the "security investigation corps" some days ago for the mere reason that he took the lead in the struggle for independence, democracy and reunification as chairman of the Kwangju and South Jolla Provincial Federation of University Student Councils under Hanchongryon in the past, the statement said:
He had been on a want list and subject to persecution little short of a prison life for six years on the charge of the violation of the "National Security Law" for acting as deputy to Hanchongryon.
Though six years have passed since the publication of the June 15 joint declaration, the movement of youth and students for reunification has been brutally suppressed on the strength of the "NSL."
The crackdown upon their movement through the invocation of the "NSL" is a deliberate act of the security authorities to crack down on the student movement in a bid to dampen the spirit of the youth and students who have taken the lead in the struggle for the implementation of the joint declaration.
The statement demanded the "government" repeal the "NSL" at once and the security authorities stop at once the suppression of the youth and student movement.
Actions against Expansion of U.S. Military Base in S. Korea
Pyongyang, July 27 (KCNA) -- The south Korean All-People Measure Committee for Checking the Expansion of the U.S. Military Base in Phyongthaek reportedly held the fourth all-people meeting for checking the expansion of the military base in front of Phyongthaek Railway Station on July 22.

A resolution was read out at the meeting and its participants marched toward Taechu-ri.
When the police stood in their way, its participants held a meeting denouncing the police action.
The chairman of the National Federation of Peasants Associations said at the meeting that it is entirely due to the U.S. that the people cannot live in peace on this land. He called upon all the people not to stop the struggle to defend peace on this land and check the moves for the expansion of the U.S. military base.
The chairman of the Kia Motor Workers Union said that the target of their struggle is to get the U.S. forces withdrawn. For a victory in this struggle all the people should rise up in the actions, he stressed.
The participants in the meeting continued their march, holding slogan boards and large placards reading "No Expansion of U.S. Military Base!" and "Stop Forcible Eviction!" and others.
Party, Army and State Cadres Visit Historic Sites of War
Pyongyang, July 27 (KCNA) -- Party, army and state cadres and leading officials of ministries and national institutions visited historic sites of the Fatherland Liberation War on July 26 on the occasion of the 53rd anniversary of the victory of the Korean people in the great Fatherland Liberation War.
Kim Yong Nam, Pak Pong Ju, Kim Il Chol, Choe Thae Bok, Yang Hyong Sop, Choe Yong Rim and Kim Ki Nam, Vice-Premier of the Cabinet Kwak Pom Gi, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Korean Social Democratic Party Kim Yong Dae and leading officials of ministries and national institutions first went round the commanding post of the Supreme Command.
They were briefed on the fact that there President Kim Il Sung elaborated on his operation plan for the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War, commanded the front and unrolled a far-reaching blueprint for the postwar rehabilitation and construction, foreseeing the future of the country to emerge victorious.
The visitors also looked round the pit used by the President, a place where he was awarded the title of Marshal of the DPRK and posed for a photograph, a place where he conversed with DPRK heroes and model combatants, a spring and other revolutionary sites outside.

Entry of U.S. Nuclear Carrier into S. Korean Port under Fire
Pyongyang, July 27 (KCNA) -- The U.S. naval task flotilla led by nuclear-powered carrier Enterprise entered Pusan Port, south Korea. This is an extremely dangerous military provocation that pushes the situation on the Korean Peninsula to the brink of a war as it is part of the U.S. moves for a war of aggression against the DPRK that have entered a dangerous phase recently.
Rodong Sinmun Thursday observes this in a signed commentary.
The entry of Enterprise into Pusan Port merits very serious attention as it was made at a time when the U.S. is further increasing its military pressure upon the DPRK while escalating the unreasonable sanctions against it, the commentary notes, and goes on:
As for the Enterprise, it was sent to the East Sea of Korea to threaten the DPRK whenever a crisis occurred on the Korean Peninsula including the armed spy ship "Pueblo" incident.
The situation proves that the outbreak of a new war on the peninsula is becoming a reality due to the U.S.
Given that the U.S. imperialists' attempt to threaten the DPRK by force and launch a new war of aggression in Korea at any cost has been proven to be a reality it is clear to everyone that the DPRK can never remain a passive onlooker to it.
The U.S. would be well advised to behave with discretion, clearly understanding that its hostile moves for aggression against the DPRK will only precipitate its self-destruction.
The DPRK will strongly react to the U.S. imperialists' reckless moves for a war of aggression.

DPRK Flags Still Convey Military Exploits
Pyongyang, July 27 (KCNA) -- More than 120 flags of the DPRK, which convey distinguished war services of the Korean People's Army, are on display at the Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum on the bank of the River Pothong
flowing through Pyongyang.
Among them is a national flag hit by some 270 bullets.
It was the flag that the soldiers of the People's Army carried with them in the assault on Kachil Peak in the spring of Juche 40 (1951). The flag was hoisted on the top of the peak in the end, passing through many hands. The defenders of the nameless height adjacent Height 1,211, Kwanmu Peak and Height 1052 heroically fought, looking up the flag and thus stroke an annihilating blow at the enemy.
Another flag, which was put up on the roof of the "Capitol Building" in Seoul on the third day following the start of the Korean war, is associated with the heroic feats of tankers.
Tank No. 312 under the Guard 105th Seoul Tank Division was the first to dash into Seoul after destroying pillboxes, armored cars and firearms on Miari Pass, the final defence line of the enemy on the evening of June 27, 1950, and at the dawn of the next day, a head of gunner of the tank hoisted the flag on the roof the "Capitol Building".
Shining along with the names of the heroes are the flag kept in his bosom by Hero Ri Su Bok who blocked the enemy's gun muzzle with his body, the flag carried by Hero Ri Myong Sik who stood in the van of the unit when storming Height 965 and the flag tied on the bayonet of Hero Kim Chang Guk who destroyed tanks of the enemy.
Some other flags tell the signal military feats performed by the 47th Infantry Division, the Guard 18th Infantry Regiment and the second battalion of the 65th Armoured Infantry Regiment in the battles for liberating Seoul in the second advance, Cholwon and Uijongbu and for crossing the Rakdong River and in the battle on the Height 303.2.
Japan Hit for Preventing DPRK Delegation's Entry
Pyongyang, July 27 (KCNA) -- The Association of Korean Victims of Forcible Drafting and their Bereaved Families issued a statement on Thursday in connection with the fact that the Japanese authorities prevented the delegation of the Korean victims of forcible drafting and their bereaved families from entering Japan to participate in a memorial service and a meeting for Korean victims of forcible drafting slated to open in Japan on July 28.
The Japanese authorities talked about "inhuman action" and "sanctions" as pretexts for disallowing the visit of the delegation but they seek a sinister purpose in it, the statement says, and goes on:
The Japanese reactionaries are now busy embellishing and praising the crimes Japan committed against humanity in the past in a bid to benumb the normal thinking and judgment of Japanese. They are, at the same time, frantically stepping up the preparations for overseas advance while instilling extreme bitterness toward the DPRK and the consciousness of crisis into the Japanese society under the pretext of "abduction issue" that had already been settled and promptly rounding off a legal system for a war on that basis.
They took this action for fear that if the bereaved families, witnesses to the above-said crimes, are allowed to enter Japan, they may indict the perpetrators of those hideous crimes to give rise to the voices in Japan urging it to redeem its past crimes and adversely affect its strenuous efforts to conceal those crimes and speed up its militarization.
The Japanese authorities' moves to keep the hideous crimes buried into oblivion under such absurd pretexts as "abduction" and "threat," while refusing to fulfill their commitments, will stoke the anti-Japanese feelings of the Korean people.
We will intensify the actions for solidarity with other Asian victims of the Japanese imperialists, their bereaved families and broad strata of human rights champions of the world in order to force Japan to pay a dear price for the blood shed by the Koreans for more than four decades due to the aggression of the Japanese imperialists and for all the sufferings it inflicted upon other Asians.
