Rodong Sinmun Comments on Plan for Building "New Japan"

    Pyongyang, September 4 (KCNA) -- The plan for building "new Japan" is intended to establish constitution and state system as a war state and step up its moves for militarization and reinvasion, says Rodong Sinmun Monday in a signed commentary. Chief Cabinet Secretary Abe, the diplomatic boss and different factions of other ultra-right conservative forces of Japan are making public their own commitments with the president election of the Japan Liberal Democratic Party at hand, the commentary notes, and goes on:
    The slogan of "new era of Japan" put up by the Japanese ultra-right conservative forces is one designed to dominate the world. To this end they are touting about the plan for building "new Japan" and rendering the Japanese society more reactionary and militaristic. It is the ultimate goal of the Japanese militarists to boost Japan-U.S. alliance and make the Japanese society more reactionary and militaristic under the pretexts of "new era of Japan" and the building of "new Japan" to turn the 21st century into a century of aggression and plunder.
    It is the lesson and review of human history that aggression and war bring ruin to a war criminal state.
    Japan will face self-destruction and meet a tragic end if it opts for a war of reinvasion to dominate the world, oblivious of this lesson of history.

New Point of View on Revolution Clarified by Juche Idea

    Pyongyang, September 4 (KCNA) -- President Kim Il Sung fathered the Juche idea in his early years of revolutionary activities and, proceeding from it, expounded the new viewpoint on revolution. The preceding theory studied the social movement (revolution) with the production mode of material wealth as the center in accordance with the principle of the materialistic conception of history, thus viewing it as a change of social systems by socio-economic relationship.
    The President evolved the issue of revolution like all the socio-historical phenomena with the popular masses as the center and gave a new definition that the revolution, in essence, is a struggle for the independence of the popular masses.
    The revolution is a social movement that is made to meet the demand of the popular masses for independence and developed by their creative power. Herein lies the fundamental principle of the revolution that the popular masses are the master of revolution and its driving force.
    The President, from this point of view, defined the fundamentals of the revolution and developed theories on the revolution in a deep-going way.
    He expounded that the revolution is not only to overthrow the old social system and to establish a new one but also to change the outmoded things with new ones in the ideological, technical and cultural domains.
    The struggle for replacing old ideology, technology and culture with new ones means a struggle between the new and the old, between the progressive and conservative forces and between collectivism and individualism. It, therefore, is regarded as a full revolutionary process and period.
    The President thus was the first in the history to establish a new, original and scientific theory on the revolution evolved with the independence of the popular masses in the center.
    The socialist system of the DPRK where the revolution and construction have been carried on centering around the popular masses is a true society for the people under which they are the master of all things and everything in society serves them.

"Ulji Focus Lens" Was War Game for Invading DPRK: Rodong Sinmun

    Pyongyang, September 4 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun Monday states that the "Ulji Focus Lens" joint military exercises staged in south Korea from August 21 to September 1 was a highly dangerous play with fire which, to all intents and purposes, was aimed at invading the DPRK. The massive war rehearsal staged by the U.S. imperialists in south Korea despite the strong opposition and denunciation at home and abroad was a grave military provocation against the DPRK and an unpardonable act of wrecking peace, which drove the situation on the Korean Peninsula closer to a phase of war, the analyst notes, and continues:
    The U.S. imperialists and the south Korean war-thirsty elements cloaked the "Ulji Focus Lens" with the trite veil of "annual" and "defensive." But such childish paradox does not work at all.
    The joint war game staged every year is a highly dangerous play with fire in which the United States and south Korean bellicose forces seek to provoke a nuclear war against the DPRK, make a three-dimensional attack on it from the sky, land and sea and call in service all their human and material resources.
    Still graver is the fact that the latest military drill was geared to the "OPLAN 5027," an adventurous war scenario against the DPRK, and the "Chungmu Plan" simulating a "fast changing situation" in it. The drill glaringly revealed the U.S. criminal hostile scheme of aggression against the DPRK.
    The war gambles of the U.S. imperialists and the south Korean war hawks against the DPRK can never be tolerated as they wreck peace on the Korean Peninsula and arrest the north-south reconciliation and the cause of independent reunification.
    The Korean people will boost the invincible self-defensive deterrent force a thousand-fold, holding ever higher the banner of Songun to cope with the evermore undisguised, reckless military provocations of the aggressive forces at home and abroad.

58th Anniversary of DPRK Commemorated Abroad

    Pyongyang, September 4 (KCNA) -- Lectures and photo exhibitions were held in New Delhi and Dar Es Salaam and at Kinshasa University from August 26 to 28 on the occasion of the 58th anniversary of the DPRK. On display at the venues were photos showing the revolutionary history and immortal exploits of President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and introducing the might of the DPRK.
    Anita Chopra, president of the Indian Working Women Society for the Study of the Juche Philosophy, in a lecture said that Kim Il Sung, father of socialist Korea and founder of the DPRK, took the road of revolution in his early years and originated the Songun idea.
    Since its foundation the DPRK has persistently covered the road of Songun and is now demonstrating its might with Songun, the president stressed.
    Francis Fanuel Lyimo, chairman of the Tanzanian National Coordinating Committee of the Juche Idea Study Groups, in a lecture noted that Kim Il Sung founded the DPRK on September 9, 1948, so that the Korean people could come to lead a dignified and happy life as masters of the state and society for the first time in the long history of the nation.
    Bele Moukeleng, chairman of the Group for the Study of the Juche Idea at Kinshasa University in Democratic Congo, in a lecture titled "Korea will shine forever as a country of Juche" introduced the glorious course of the DPRK, stressing that the DPRK will shine forever all over the world as Kim Il Sung's Korea as it is led by Kim Jong Il.

Release of Patriot and Repeal of SL Urged in S. Korea

    Pyongyang, September 4 (KCNA) -- The South Headquarters of the National Alliance for the Country's Reunification on August 30 reportedly made public a statement under the title "Immediately Release Choe Hui Jong of the south Korean Civil Rights Institute and Totally Repeal the Security Law". The statement noted that the security authorities arrested Choe Hui Jong (pen name Kim Son Ju), permanent research member of the institute, on the charge of violation of the notorious SL and transferred her to the Seoul Prison on August 24.
    Her detention, the statement said, threw a more revealing light on the true intention of the authorities in their deliberate repression of the progressive forces.
    There is nothing to be gained from clinging to the legacy of the old era, said the statement, adding: The security authorities should immediately release the patriotic personage and scrap the SL.

War Maniacs Seeking Aggression on DPRK Flailed

    Pyongyang, September 4 (KCNA) -- The United States is trying to shift the blame for the strained situation upon the DPRK while kicking up quite a dust over "threat" at a time when the situation of the Korean Peninsula has been carried to the highest pitch of tension. This is the topic of an article of Rodong Sinmun Monday.
    Declaring that the U.S. can never evade the responsibility for the increased tension on the Korean Peninsula, the author of the article says:
    The Bush administration has totally destroyed the foundation for the improvement of the DPRK-U.S. relations, making a pointed accusation against the DPRK by branding the dignified state as part of "the axis of evil" and a "criminal state". This is the height of sarcasm that the Bush administration claims it is "not hostile" to the DPRK.
    The tension on the Korean Peninsula was not created overnight. It has been fostered and elevated through centuries by the U.S. deep-rooted hostile policy towards the DPRK and its sustained moves to launch a war against the latter. The tension has been driven to the worst phase by the bellicose Bush administration wielding a military strong arm.
    Facts vividly show that it is none other than the U.S. which is bringing the danger of a nuclear war while increasing tension and destroying peace on the Korean Peninsula.

DPRK Team Emerges Winner of FIFA Under-20 Women's World Championship

    Pyongyang, September 4 (KCNA) -- The DPRK team emerged winner of the FIFA Under-20 Women's World Championship by beating Chinese team 5-0 in the final. It participated in the championship for the first time. The final took place in heavy rain. But Korean girls sped up their attack with a combination of breaking through centre and flank attack, while strictly deterring Chinese girls from attacking in the mid-field from the beginning of the first half.
    The first goal came at the 28th minute of the first half when midfielder Jo Yun Mi outwitted two Chinese backs and goalkeeper before kicking the ball into their goal mouth with her left foot.
    Kim Song Hui scored two more goals at the 39th and the 47th minutes of the first half.
    Kim Song Hui recorded one more goal at the 7th minute of the second half and Kil Son Hui added one more point to the score at the 10th minute of the second half.
    At the end of the game the DPRK players were awarded gold medals and certificates. The FIFA award of morality went to Hong Myong Gum and Silver Shoe to Kim Song Hui.

Message of Sympathy to Iranian President

    Pyongyang, September 4 (KCNA) -- Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly, Monday sent a message of sympathy to Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, president of Iran, in connection with the big losses of human lives caused by an airliner catching fire in Mashhad City, Iran. The message expressed deep condolences and sympathy to the Iranian president and through him to the victims and their bereaved families.

Rodong Sinmun revela la esencia de proyecto de "nuevo Japon"

    Pyongyang, 4 de septiembre (ATCC) -- El proyecto de construccion de un "nuevo Japon" consiste en disponer de la constitucion y la estructura estatal de un pais belicista para marchar a galopes hacia la militarizacion y la nueva agresion. Asi revela el periodico Rodong Sinmun en un comentario individual del dia 4 y continua:
    En estos dias, en visperas de las elecciones del presidente del Partido Democratico Liberal de Japon, diversas fracciones de la ultraderecha conservadora, inclusive el director del Secretariado del Gabinete, Abe, y el actual canciller, anuncian sus respectivas promesas electorales.
    En esta campana floto la consigna de "nueva epoca de Japon", fundamentada precisamente en la conquista del mundo. Persiguen esta finalidad el proyecto de construccion de un "nuevo Japon" y las maniobras de dichas fuerzas encaminadas a hacer de la sociedad japonesa la mas reaccionaria y militarista.
    De esta manera, los militaristas japoneses pretenden fortalecer la alianza con EE.UU. y convertir el siglo XXI en uno de agresion y saqueo.
    La historia de la humanidad dejo las lecciones de que la agresion y la guerra terminan arruinando al propio pais criminal de guerra.
    Si el pais isleno toma el camino de guerra para nueva agresion y la conquista del mundo dejando en el olvido estas lecciones historicas, no podra evitar su autodestruccion.

Rodong Sinmun comenta el fin de maniobras "Ulji Focus Lens"

    Pyongyang, 4 de septiembre (ATCC) -- El simulacro militar conjunto "Ulji Focus Lens", que se desarrollo desde el 21 de agosto hasta el primero de septiembre en el Sur de Corea, fue un juego belico sumamente peligroso para ejercitar la agresion al Norte de Corea. Comienza un comentario individual publicado este lunes en el diario Rodong Sinmun y continua:
    Pese al fuerte rechazo de la opinion publica nacional e internacional, los imperialistas norteamericanos realizaron finalmente esas macro-maniobras militares provocando en sentido militar a la Republica Popular Democratica de Corea y perturbando la paz al llevar al borde de la guerra la situacion de la Peninsula Coreana.
    Como de costumbre, los yanquis y los belicistas surcoreanos las tildan de "anuales" y "defensivas", pero, con estas mentiras baratas no pueden convencer a nadie.
    A traves de "Ulji Focus Lens" que se desarrollan todos los anos, EE.UU. y los belicistas surcoreanos ejercitan un ataque nuclear y simultaneo en el cielo, la tierra y el mar contra la RPDC y la movilizacion de todos sus recursos humanos y materiales para este fin.
    Lo mas grave del caso es que los recientes ejercicios se llevaron a cabo segun el "plan operacional 5027" y el "Chungmu" que supone una "situacion de cambios repentinos" en el Norte de Corea.
    Este hecho evidencio una vez mas el intento criminal de EE.UU. de hostilizar y agredir a la RPDC.
    Son nunca tolerables tales alborotos belicos encaminados a destruir la paz de la Peninsula Coreana y detener la reconciliacion entre el Norte y el Sur y la causa de reunificacion independiente del pais.
    Frente a las cada dia mas abiertas maniobras de provocacion militar de los agresores dentro y fuera del pais, el pueblo coreano consolidara mas sus invencibles fuerzas disuasorias de autodefensa bajo la bandera del Songun (priorizacion militar).
