Kim Il Sung's Work Published in Guyana

    Pyongyang, October 8 (KCNA) -- Famous work of President Kim Il Sung "Let Us Bring the Advantages of Socialism in Our Country into Full Play" was brought out in booklet on Sept. 27 by a publishing House of Guyana. The work, published on May 24, Juche 79 (1990), deals with the essence and main characteristics of Korean socialism and tasks to bring the advantages of Korean-style socialism into full play.

Anniversaries of WPK and DIU Observed Abroad

    Pyongyang, October 8 (KCNA) -- Meetings, friendly gatherings, reading sessions and other celebrations were held in Mongolia, Switzerland and Democratic Congo from Sept. 27 to Oct. 2 on the occasion of the 61st founding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea and the 80th anniversary of the formation of the Down-with-Imperialism Union. On display at the venues were photos showing the leadership exploits performed by President Kim Il Sung and General Secretary Kim Jong Il in party building and introducing the glorious history of the WPK.
    N. Sarantuya, vice-chairman of the Mongolian Mt. Paektu Association for Independent Development, said in his speech at a meeting that the WPK which grew from the deep and strong roots of the DIU has laid firm foundations for prosperity of posterity, surmounting all hardships and ordeals.
    Martin Lotscher, chairman of the Swiss Committee for Supporting the Independent and Peaceful Reunification of Korea, addressing a meeting, introduced the victorious and glorious course of the WPK and called for more actively conducting solidarity movement supporting the Korean people in their efforts to build a great prosperous powerful nation and achieve national reunification.
    Kanga Ngerien Jerom, chairman of the Group for the Study of Kim Jong Il Juche Idea of Democratic Congo, at a reading session on book "Short Biography of Kim Il Sung" laid stress on acquiring their undying exploits more deeply.

Floral Basket to DPRK Embassy in Havana

DFRK Founding Proposal Supported in Ethiopia

    Pyongyang, October 8 (KCNA) -- The Ethiopian Addis Ababa Group for the Study of the Juche Idea held a seminar on October 2 on the occasion of the 26th anniversary of the proposal for founding the Democratic Federal Republic of Koryo. The chief of the group in a speech said that President Kim Il Sung put forward Korea's reunification as the supreme task of the Korean nation, set forth the three principles of national reunification, the proposal for founding the DFRK and the 10-point programme of the great unity of the whole nation, which reflect the Juche idea, and devoted his all to the accomplishment of the cause of reunification till the last moments of his life.
    Noting that Kim Jong Il formulated the three principles, the proposal and the programme as the three charters for national reunification and opened up a bright prospect of reunification, he stressed that the three charters for national reunification are, indeed, the banner of Korea's reunification and the most just and realistic programme of the struggle to achieve peaceful reunification of the country.

S. Korean Security Authorities' Plot under Fire

    Pyongyang, October 8 (KCNA) -- Jang Song Hoe, chairman of the south Korean Federation of University Student Councils (Hanchongryon), reportedly released a statement titled "We strongly denounce the security authorities for plotting to fabricate a 'case of off-stage organizing Hanchongryon'" on October 2. The statement recalled that it was disclosed at the trial of Choe Hui Jong, permanent member of the "south Korean Civil Rights Institute", on September 26 that the security authorities made a surprise search of his house and detained him under a scenario for rigging up the "case of off-stage organizing Hanchongryon."
    Expressing indignation at the moves of the security authorities to fabricate the case, talking about the non-existent "forces wire-pulling Hanchongryon," the statement demanded the security authorities immediately stop their anachronistic plot.
    The activities of Hanchongryon, an independent organization of students, are just, the statement said, urging the security authorities to withdraw the label of "enemy-benefiting organization" from Hanchongryon and legalize the organization.

Japan's Doctrine on "Building Pacifist State" Assailed

    Pyongyang, October 8 (KCNA) -- The Japanese ruling quarters are nowadays uttering that they have "built a peaceful and democratic country" while "honestly repenting" of the past. In this regard, Rodong Sinmun today in a signed article says:
    Their flippant remarks are nothing but a sophism to cover up the reactionary nature of Japan's politics and disguise itself as a "pacifist state".
    Whether Japan has so far opted for the path of peace or not can be fully proved by Japan's stand and attitude towards its past war crimes.
    Japan has not yet settled its past even 60 years after the Second World War.
    The Japanese militarists have viciously schemed to erase its past history of crimes forever. If Japan, a war criminal state, truly wants to take the road of peace, it is very important for it to probe its past crimes of aggression and educate the Japanese so as not to commit such crimes again. On the contrary, however, Japan negated, distorted or totally erased in history textbooks the facts on the Japanese imperialists' crimes of aggression on Korea and other Asian countries.
    The Japanese ruling quarters have embellished the war criminals as "patriotic martyrs" and "heroes" and instigated the Japanese to advocate and follow the Japanese imperialists' history of aggression.
    After the Second World War, Japan has frantically sped up its military preparations for reinvasion.
    Japan completely revised the military principles of its "Self-Defence Forces."
    It has restored the right to belligerency and the right to participate in a war and reduced the "pacifist constitution" to a mere name by enacting various laws on war.
    The Japanese reactionaries are now viciously bent on the moves to abolish the "pacifist constitution" itself.
    It is a sheer lie to remark that Japan has tried to "build a pacifist state" while "honestly repenting" of its past, the article points out, branding Japan's doctrine on "building the pacifist state" as a doctrine on building a war state and an advertisement of militarist aggression.

Palestinian Ambassador Hosts Reception

    Pyongyang, October 8 (KCNA) -- Mohammad Shahta Zarab, Palestinian ambassador to the DPRK, hosted a reception at the embassy on Saturday to celebrate the 61st anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea. The ambassador said in a speech at the reception that the foundation of the WPK by President Kim Il Sung helped the Korean people to bring about changes in hewing out their destiny and have a powerful political leadership guiding the revolution and construction to victory.

Important Days in DPRK Observed Abroad

    Pyongyang, October 7 (KCNA) -- Lectures were given in Democratic Congo and Uganda and by the Pan-African Movement from September 25 to 28 on the occasion of the 61st anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea and the 80th anniversary of the Down-with-Imperialism Union (DIU). The deputy general secretary of the People's Rally for Socialism of Democratic Congo, in a lecture titled "The Workers' Party of Korea dynamically advancing along the road paved by the DIU" said that President Kim Il Sung formed the DIU, providing the historic roots of the WPK. The President founded the party before anything else after Korea's liberation and developed it into invincible militant ranks, he added.
    Justin Keyune, chief of the Group for the Study of Songun Politics of Kampala Coloro Higher Middle School of Uganda, in a lecture titled "The eternal party of President Kim Il Sung" highly praised the feats the President performed for building the party, stressing that the WPK would always demonstrate its might as the dignified party of the President as it is led by General Secretary Kim Jong Il.
    The deputy director of the Political Department of the Pan-African Movement, in a lecture titled "The reliable vanguard of the socialist cause" noted that the WPK is recognized by the international community as an invincible party, the most authoritative and dignified party for the feats it performed for the Korean revolution and the cause of global independence.

Proposal for Founding DFRK Supported

    Pyongyang, October 7 (KCNA) -- Phanindra Raj Pant, deputy secretary general of the Afro-Asian People's Solidarity Committee of Nepal and secretary of the Nepalese Committee for Promotion of Reunification of Korea, made public a statement on October 3 on the occasion of the 26th anniversary of the proposal for founding the Democratic Federal Republic of Koryo. The statement said that the proposal is the most realistic one to reunify Korea.

S. Korean Judicial Authorities' Fascist Outrage Assailed

    Pyongyang, October 7 (KCNA) -- Some time ago, the south Korean judicial authorities detained the persons who manufactured CDs on the Juche idea and posted on Internet homepage articles supporting the Songun politics, by invoking the notorious "National Security Law" (NSL). This was an outrageous fascist action intended to dampen the desire for national reconciliation and independent reunification daily growing among the south Korean people and check the rapid spread of the Juche idea and the tendency of supporting and praising the Songun politics, says Rodong Sinmun today in a signed commentary.
    The Juche idea and the Songun politics are a just idea and patriotic politics as they indicate the way of realizing the popular masses' independence and protect the dignity, sovereignty and security of the nation, the news analyst says, and goes on:
    However, the south Korean judicial authorities took the above-said action under the unreasonable pretext of introducing the idea and politics recognized by the world people and supported by all Koreans. This repression can never be justified.
    Their action fully reveals the true nature of "liberal democracy" and "human rights" advocated by them.
    They charged the above-said persons with "pro-north activities" and "activities praising the north." How can they dare repeat the conception of confrontation dating back to the old era of fascist dictatorship. They are still invoking such outdated anti-reunification fascist law as NSL though national cooperation, reconciliation and the movement for independent reunification have become a trend of the times. This reckless deed can be perpetrated only by those devoid of elementary sense of the trend of the times and awareness of belonging to the same nation.
    The south Korean judicial authorities are bound to be cursed and condemned by all the fellow countrymen for their unprecedented treacherous action going against the trend of the times and the nation's desire.

Songun Policy Favored by S. Korean Organizations

    Pyongyang, October 7 (KCNA) -- Different organizations in south Korea including the Reunification Solidarity and the south Korean Confederation of Trade Unions posted on their Internet homepages an article titled "We are determined to positively cover and report about the Songun policy" contributed by the Association of Media Persons Supporting the Songun Policy on September 30. The article said the United States has put the world in disorder with its high-handed policy based on unilateralism but dared not provoke the north, adding that the reason is that the north pursues the Songun policy.
    Noting that the north has been fully prepared to meet the military pressure of the U.S., the article went on:
    The north has kept itself ready to stand in the confrontation with the U.S., pursuant to the Songun policy, its unique political mode of solving all the issues of the country by attaching utmost importance to military affairs and giving priority to the army.
    The north has already declared that it is fully prepared to respond to a war with a war and to a dialogue with a dialogue.

Kim Jong Suk Honored in Nigeria

    Pyongyang, October 7 (KCNA) -- Anti-Japanese war hero Kim Jong Suk was awarded the title of chief of tribe "Great Mother of All" and a commemorative key of Aba City of Nigeria on the occasion of the significant holidays in October. An awarding ceremony was held by the Ohazu Egbelu Autonomous Community in Aba city in Abia State of Nigeria as a traditional function of the community on September 23.

KCNA Flails Japan's Bid to Host 2016 Olympics

    Pyongyang, October 7 (KCNA) -- Japan is working hard to host 2016 Olympics. It is busy with diplomacy to garner support and sympathy from the international community, while making eyes at the IOC. It is also keen to give impression that Japan can host Olympics. This is enough to make a cat laugh.
    Japan is the only country that has not yet shaken off its ill-fame of an enemy state in the political field. It is a country having bubble economy as it has nothing indigenous. As far as security is concerned, this country is plagued with hooliganism. This being a hard reality, Japan is so keen on the sponsorship of the Olympics. This only indicates that politicians and those concerned with sports in this country know little where it stands.
    Japan is not in a position to host Olympics. It is branded as a "Pandora's box" and has not yet been recognized as an "ordinary and normal state" by the world people as it has not yet redeemed its past but worked hard to revive militarism and committed such crimes as luring and abduction operations and human rights abuses at home in the new century, too.
    Japanese politicians do not stoop to any infamy to attain their political purposes, just as their country does. They are political dwarfs and dregs in the sports circle as they behave in breach of even the pure sports spirit.
    This is clearly proved by the fact that Japan prevented DPRK players from participating in the 2006 Synchronized Swimming World Cup and the 15th East Asia Junior Table-Tennis Championships.
    It is as clear as noonday that the Japanese reactionaries will put pressure upon those countries which incur their displeasure and prevent them from participating in the Olympic games at the instruction of their masters, the stereotyped method whereby they refused to issue visas to the DPRK players and completely blocked their entry, citing a certain "clause" as a pretext for the refusal.
    Japan instigated the organizing committee of the East Asia Junior Table-Tennis Championships to send to the DPRK a notice requesting the DPRK side to refrain from sending its players due to the concern about their safety under the prevailing situation. How can Japan be called a "law-governed state" when it says it can hardly guarantee the safety of those participants in the junior championships from a few East Asian countries.
    Japan keeps its economy going through plunder of other countries and overseas expansion and increased dependence on big powers.
    Such country instable in political, economic, security and all other aspects makes a strong bid for hosting Olympiad, unaware of its real position. This cannot but be a height of folly.
    Explicitly speaking, the Japanese reactionaries' bid to make Olympics their political plaything is nothing but a serious insult to the sacred Olympic Charter and its idea.
    The Olympic Charter stipulates that the Olympics shall contribute to improving people's health, enhancing their noble morality and promoting international friendship and thus preserving world peace.
    Japan will invite international isolation if it makes a bid for hosting Olympics without a proper view and attitude toward international sports games.

S. Korean Authorities' Crackdown on "NGEU" Flailed

    Pyongyang, October 7 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the Central Committee of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea Saturday made public a statement denouncing the south Korean authorities' crackdown on the "National Government Employees' Union" (NGEU) as an unpardonable anti-democratic, anti-national crime. The south Korean authorities recently sent the police to close office rooms of the "NGEU" and detain more than 60 hard core members of the union, charging that it is an illegal organization which is doing "illegal actions" demanding a halt to the south Korea-U.S. joint military exercises and so on.
    The south Korean authorities' suppression of the union is an undisguised move to stamp out the progressive movement organization and a wanton infringement upon human rights, the statement said, and went on:
    The demand of "NGEU" for ensuring the three rights of labor and a stop to the south Korea-U.S. joint military exercises can neither be called in question nor be an object of suppression as it is a very righteous struggle to achieve democratic rights and freedom and defend national dignity and sovereignty from the outside forces' aggression and interference.
    The south Korean authorities should squarely see the aspiration of the people and the trend of the times, immediately stop the suppression of the union and immediately release those unionists detained without condition.

"Reorganization" of U.S. Forces in S. Korea Condemned

    Pyongyang, October 7 (KCNA) -- The ongoing "reorganization" of the U.S. forces in south Korea is part of the arms buildup and a prelude to a war of aggression against the DPRK. A spokesman for the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Fatherland declared this in a statement Saturday. The "reduction" and "reorganization" of troops in south Korea being carried out by the United States are prompted by its sinister design to accelerate arms buildup and war preparations in the Korean Peninsula by reorganizing the forces into a task force and use south Korea as a shock force in carrying out a new war, the statement pointed out, and went on:
    Due to such moves the situation is getting tenser and the danger of a nuclear war is further increasing on the Korean Peninsula as the days go by.
    What should not be overlooked is the fact that the bellicose forces in south Korea are stepping up the arms buildup and north-targeted war preparations, while openly asserting these are meant to strike it, pursuant to the U.S. scenario for a war against the DPRK.
    This is an intolerable crime against the nation as it breaches the June 15 joint declaration and drives the inter-Korean relations to a phase of catastrophe and war.
    The south Korean war-like forces are bound to face punishment by the nation and self-destruction as they are hell-bent on the war moves bringing the nation to ruin, serving the U.S. in its moves to stifle the DPRK.
    The U.S. should pull its aggression forces out of south Korea and its vicinity at once.

    Pyongyang, 7 de octubre (ATCC) -- Con motivo de las significativas fiestas de octubre de Corea, Nigeria otorgo a la heroina de lucha antijaponesa, Kim Jong Suk, el titulo de jefa de tribu "Gran madre de todos los pueblos" y la llave conmemorativa de la ciudad de Aba. En la ceremonia de otorgamiento efectuada el 23 de septiembre en la comunidad autonoma de Ohazu Egbelu de la ciudad de Aba del Estado de Abia de Nigeria participaron el gran rey y varios reyes, jefes de tribus, miembros del Consejo Real y otros habitantes, los miembros de la embajada coreana acreditada en este pais y tecnicos coreanos.
    En el acto iniciado con una ceremonia tradicional de la comunidad se dio a conocer la breve historia de las actividades revolucionarias de Kim Jong Suk y el gran rey entrego a un funcionario de la embajada coreana el certificado de titulo de jefa de tribu "Gran madre de todos los pueblos", articulos decorativos para jefa de tribu y la llave conmemorativa que simboliza la ciudadana de honor de la ciudad de Aba.
    Cuando luego de festejar significativamente el 58 aniversario de la fundacion de la Republica Popular Democratica de Corea el pueblo coreano acoge el 61 aniversario de la fundacion del Partido del Trabajo de Corea y el 80 aniversario de la "UDI" (Union para Derrotar al Imperialismo) otorga a la madre Kim Jong Suk el titulo de jefa de tribu "Gran madre de todos los pueblos" y la llave conmemorativa de la ciudad de Aba, dijo el gran rey.
    Nuestra comunidad selecciono a Kim Jong Suk como primera extranjera en otorgar el titulo de honor para elogiar sus grandes hazanas acumuladas ante la epoca y la humanidad, dijo el gran rey y subrayo que esto deviene una gran gloria y orgullo para la comunidad.
    En el acto se dio lectura a una carta del gran rey dirigida al Dirigente Kim Jong Il.

ATCC comenta conducta fresca de Japon

    Pyongyang, 7 de octubre (ATCC) -- En estos tiempos, en su intento de auspiciar los Juegos Olimpicos de 2016, Japon lisonjea al Comite Olimpico Internacional, por una parte y por la otra, despliega dinamicas actividades diplomaticas para ganar el apoyo y respaldo de la sociedad internacional. Ademas, circula un rumor de que es muy probable que Japon sea sede de la Olimpiada de 2016. Es una conducta ridiculisima.
    　Este pais isleno es descalificado para esa magna cita deportiva porque no ha liquidado todavia su pasado criminal e intenta resurgir el militarismo en el nuevo siglo.
    　Ademas, dentro del pais-isla no cesan los crimenes de secuestro y rapto y la violacion de derechos humanos.
    　Por esta razon, los pueblos del mundo no reconocen como "Estado normal" a este pais calificado de "Caja de Pandora".
    Para sus fines politicos, los muy cinicos politiqueros japoneses son capaces de cometer cualquier cosa y ensucian hasta el mero espiritu deportivo.
    Lo corrobora el hecho de que los reaccionarios japoneses no otorgaron la visa en virtud de un supuesto "articulo" para prohibir la participacion de los deportistas coreanos en el Torneo de Natacion Sincronica para la Copa Mundial de 2006 y el XV Campeonato de Infantiles de Tenis de Mesa de Asia del Este.
    Es obvio que con tal metodo rutinario ellos obstaculizaran, a las ordenes de su amo, la representacion de los paises, que no le son del agrado, en la olimpiada al cabo de ejercerles presion.
    　Japon instigo al comite organizador del Campeonato de Infantiles de Tenis de Mesa de Asia del Este para que notificara a la RPDC que "seria mejor que esta se abstenga de participar en este evento por el problema de seguridad personal de los jugadores generado por la situacion general".
    ?Acaso sera posible llamar como "Estado constitucional" a Japon que se declara impotente de garantizar la seguridad de los ninos de unos paises de Asia Oriental participes en ese evento?
    Por otra parte, Japon es un pais que mantiene su economia con el saqueo a otros paises, la expansion a ultramar y la dependencia de las grandes potencias.
    Es muy irrisorio que este pais, tan inestable en todos los sectores como la politica, economia y seguridad, se atreviera a auspiciar los Juegos Olimpicos.
    Las maniobras de los reaccionarios japoneses de emplearlos en sus mezquinos objetivos politicos devienen un grave insulto a la carta y el ideal de la Olimpiada.
    La Carta del COI senala que la Olimpiada mejora la salud y los nobles rasgos morales de los hombres y contribuye a la paz mundial al fomentar la amistad internacional.
    Si Japon intenta auspiciar los juegos olimpicos sin adquirir un correcto concepto y actitud en cuanto a los juegos internacionales, sera marginado de la sociedad internacional.
