Traditions of DIU Described as Eternal Lifeline of Juche Revolution

    Pyongyang, October 14 (KCNA) -- The appearance of the Down-with-Imperialism Union (DIU) meant the start of the Korean revolution and it served as the roots of the Workers' Party, the People's Army and socialism in the DPRK and its traditions have provided lifeline that has linked the glorious past and present and the rosy future of Songun Korea. Rodong Sinmun today says this in an editorial article.
    The traditions of the DIU provided by President Kim Il Sung are glorious ones symbolic of the whole history of the Korean revolution and they serve as the lifeline of Songun Korea, the article notes, and says:
    The DIU formed in 1926 was the first revolutionary organization in Korea, which gave origin to the Korean revolution and provided historical roots of the party and revolution in the DPRK. Its formation served as a starting point in founding the revolutionary party of Juche type in Korea, its anti-imperialist fighting spirit as a cornerstone of the WPK's Songun politics and the programme for building socialism advanced by the DIU became the main idea of the Korean revolution.
    It was thanks to the great traditions of the DIU that the Korean party, army and people could steadfastly advance along the path of the protracted and arduous revolution and set a brilliant example in accomplishing the popular masses' cause of independence and socialism.
    The glorious revolutionary traditions of the WPK established by Kim Il Sung from the days of the DIU have been successfully carried forward by leader Kim Jong Il generation after generation.
    Under the energetic guidance of Kim Jong Il, Kim Il Sung's idea, exploits, experience and leadership methods have been embodied in all fields through generations, the WPK has developed into a revolutionary party of Juche type, a heir to the traditions of the DIU, and the ideal of socialism advanced by the DIU has come true on this land.
    In his early years Kim Jong Il made a comprehensive review of the century-long history of the working class' ideology and on this basis formulated Kim Il Sung's revolutionary idea as an integrated whole of the idea, theory and method of Juche, thus glorifying it as the guiding idea in the era of independence. This was an event of historic significance in eternally glorifying the idea of the DIU and carrying forward and accomplishing the cause of Juche in all fields.
    The Songun idea has been developed in depth by Kim Jong Il to meet the requirements of the new century. It is a revolutionary idea whose validity and invincible might have been proved in the practice of the Korean revolution which started with the founding of the DIU and has always emerged victorious under the banner of Juche. It also serves as a militant banner for winning a final victory of the Juche idea.
    It is the unanimous faith and will of the Korean army and people to give steady continuity to the glorious and triumphant history of the WPK and the Korean revolution started with the formation of the DIU.
    There can be no step backward on the road of the Korean revolution started by Kim Il Sung under the flag of the DIU, though old generations are replaced by new ones and conditions and circumstances of the struggle may change.
    Just as the DIU members, the first generation of the Korean revolution, stubbornly fought, looking up to Kim Il Sung and confident of the bright future of the country, the servicepersons and people of the DPRK are now full of the conviction of certain victory and optimism that they can surely bring earlier the dawn of a great prosperous powerful socialist nation as they are under the Songun revolutionary leadership of Kim Jong Il.
    The road hewed by Kim Il Sung with the formation of the DIU is one chosen by the Korean people themselves, and it has been defended through protracted bloody battles. It is also a proud road for bringing happiness and prosperity to posterity. The Korean people will neither step back nor waver even a bit on this road.

Kim Jong Il's Work Off Press in Italy

    Pyongyang, October 15 (KCNA) -- General Secretary Kim Jong Il's famous work "The Workers' Party of Korea Is the Party of the Great Leader Comrade Kim Il Sung" was brought out in booklet in Italy. The work, published on October 2, Juche 84 (1995), serves as the immortal programme of the party building and activities which proudly reviewed the glorious history of the WPK hewing out the new way of building a revolutionary party in the era of independence under the leadership of President Kim Il Sung and indicated the road of developing the party into the eternal party of the President.
    A releasing ceremony was held in Rome on October 7.
    Displayed in the venue were the President's reminiscences "With the Century," works of Kim Jong Il and books introducing the might of the Songun policy of the WPK.
    Miriam Pellegrini Ferri, chairman of the Italian Committee for the Study of Songun Idea for Independence and Sovereignty, in a speech said that the steady successes achieved by the DPRK in socialist construction and the international arena are unthinkable without the exploits of the President and Kim Jong Il who founded the WPK and has developed it into a powerful revolutionary party with the firm guidance system of the leader.

WPK Lauded Abroad

    Pyongyang, October 15 (KCNA) -- Symposiums were held in Russia, Romania, Finland and Bangladesh, lectures given by the Socialist Party of Romania and the Group of Youth for the Study of Kim Jong Il Juche Idea in Vienna and a film show held in Indonesia between Sept. 30 and Oct. 7 on the occasion of the 61st anniversary of the Workersf Party of Korea and the 80th anniversary of the the Down-with-Imperialism Union. The chairman of the Belarus February 16 Youth Association for the Study of the Juche Idea and Songun Policy said that the Songun policy pursued by Kim Jong Il is a good paragon for them and that thanks to this policy the Korean People's Army has grown up to be an invincible army.
    The chairman of the Supreme Council of the Socialist Party of Romania said that the Workers' Party of Korea is a model of the world progressive political parties as it leads the Korean people to a victory, firmly preserving the Juche character and the revolutionary principles under any circumstances. The chairman of the Finnish National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea highly praised the undying feats of the peerlessly great persons in the foundation and development of the WPK.
    The chairman of the Bangladesh People's League pointed out that the proud history of the WPK which inherited the traditions of the Down-with-Imperialism Union proves that only the single-minded unity around the leader is the source of all victories and main criterion guaranteeing the invincibility and might of the party.
    The chief of the group in Vienna in a lecture noted that the Juche idea is officially recognized as the most correct guiding idea for the human cause of independence and the cause of socialism at the present times for its scientific accuracy, truth, justness and vitality.
    Screened at the film shows were "The Brilliant History of Great Leadership", "Parade and Mass Demonstration Celebrating the 55th Anniversary of the Glorious WPK" and other Korean films.
    Korean book, photo and handicraft exhibitions were opened in Russia, Mexico and Brazil and at the Laos-Korea Youth Friendship Center between Sept. 27 and Oct. 6.

Proposal for Founding DFRK Hailed by Foreigners

    Pyongyang, October 15 (KCNA) -- Political and public figures of Mexico and Syria issued statements to the press on October 9 in support of the proposal for founding the Democratic Federal Republic of Koryo on the occasion of the 26th anniversary of the proposal. Jesus Antonio Carlos Hernandez, general secretary of the Central Committee of the People's Socialist Party of Mexico, said that under the present situation the best way of reunifying Korea is to found the DFRK.
    The south Korean authorities should seriously approach and accept the proposal for founding the DFRK, he pointed out, calling upon all states of the international community and all political parties and organizations of the world to support Korea's reunification by federal formula.
    The U.S. government, he said, should stop the threat of war against the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and commit itself to non-aggression.
    The deputy dean of the politics faculty of University of Dimascus in Syria, said that the world people advocating independence are positively supporting the proposal put forward by President Kim Il Sung on October 10, 1980.
    He went on to say:
    Kim Jong Il formulated the three principles of national reunification, the proposal for founding the DFRK and the 10-point program of the great unity of the whole nation as the three charters for Korea's reunification and has wisely led the drive for their materialization.
    It is his immortal exploits for reunification that the historic June 15 joint declaration was provided between the north and the south of Korea and the new era for the whole nation to advance in unity toward independent reunification has come.

Rodong Sinmun Calls for Maintaining Revolutionary Principles

    Pyongyang, October 15 (KCNA) -- It is a very important issue concerning the destiny of revolution to maintain the revolutionary principles consistently. Rodong Sinmun Sunday says this in a signed article. It goes on:
    It is the way of defending the basic interests of revolution and advancing revolution to victory without vacillation to maintain the revolutionary principles consistently in accomplishing the cause of independence of the popular masses, the socialist cause. On the contrary, to shrink back from the revolutionary principles means surrender and ruin. To take one step back from the revolutionary principles means to take two steps, ten steps back from them. Finally, it means to lose national dignity and the sovereignty of the country and face the miserable destiny of subordination and slavery.
    This has been proved by the situation of some countries. Those countries which were building socialism in the past deviated from the revolutionary principles with no faith in socialism when facing difficulties and ordeals. And they were afraid of the threat and blackmail by the imperialists and yielded to them.
    The same is true of the Iraqi situation.
    The state which is strong in the revolutionary principles does not go to ruin and those people who keep the revolutionary principles are not conquered. This is the truth verified by history.
    The Workers' Party of Korea has always firmly maintained the principles of independence, the working class and socialism in the revolution and construction on the basis of the basic interests of the revolution, worked out revolutionary lines and policies of Juche and carried through them consistently. The party has consistently defended the basic interests and principles of the revolution, stepping up the revolution and construction with ceaseless creation and innovation as required by the developing reality and positively countering the rapidly changing situation. The Korean party and people know neither compromise nor concession in the revolution and construction. This is the revolutionary spirit and ideological and mental characteristics of the party and people.
    As the party has maintained its revolutionary principles and line and policies, the Korean revolution could victoriously advance along the road of socialism without vacillation even under the arduous conditions.
    The world revolutionary political parties and peoples should staunchly maintain the basic interests and principles of revolution in accomplishing the cause of independence against imperialism.

Rodong Sinmun on Kim Il Sung's Feats in History of Fine Arts

    Pyongyang, October 15 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun today dedicates an article to the 40th publication anniversary of President Kim Il Sung's celebrated work "Let Us Develop Revolutionary Fine Arts: National in Form and Socialist in Content". The work is the historic talk the President had with workers in the fine arts on the occasion of the 9th National Art Exhibition on October 16, Juche 55 (1966). It was an epochal event of weighty significance in developing the fine arts in the DPRK, the article says, and goes on:
    In the work the President highly praised the artists for producing many fine art works which vividly represent the historic struggle of the Korean people and graphically show the true nature of the exploiter society. And he gave a comprehensive and profound exposition of the theoretical and practical problems arising in further developing the nation's fine arts. The ideas and theories contained in the work, which is consistent with faith in socialism, high sense of responsibility for the revolution and ardent patriotism, serve as an eternal and militant banner that all workers in the fine arts should hold fast to in creating socialist fine arts of Juche forever.
    An important one of the feats the President performed in creating the socialist fine arts of Juche is that he advanced the unique idea and theory on developing the popular and revolutionary fine arts, national in form and socialist in content. He also saw to it that the idea and theory was maintained as lifeline in the accomplishment of the cause of creating socialist fine arts.

80th Anniversary of DIU Celebrated

    Pyongyang, October 15 (KCNA) -- A celebration meeting of members of the Korean Democratic Women's Union was held at the plaza of the Tower of the Juche Idea on Oct. 14 on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the formation of the Down-with-Imperialism Union. At the meeting Pak Sun Hui, chairwoman of the C.C., the KDWU, made a report and then followed speeches.
    The reporter and speakers said that the Korean revolution could victoriously advance with its correct guiding idea and strategy of struggle as President Kim Il Sung formed the DIU, the first revolutionary vanguard organization in Korea, and set forth the programme of struggle for independence and sovereignty against imperialism, and the glorious Workers' Party of Korea has since begun to take its roots.
    They referred to the fact that the President accomplished the cause of founding the party of Juche type on the basis of the tradition of the DIU and built the party into an invincible revolutionary party, a genuine motherly party serving the people and wisely led it, thus setting a world-wide example in the building of the revolutionary party in the era of independence and laying foundations for the ever-victorious Korean revolution.
    Kim Jong Il has led the party and the revolution for over four decades to develop the WPK into the glorious party of the President which has inherited the tradition of the DIU, powerful guiding force of Songun revolution, thus achieving the single-minded unity of the leader, the party and the masses on the highest level and remarkably increasing the political and ideological might of the Korean revolution.

Kim Jong Il's Work Off Press in Malta

    Pyongyang, October 14 (KCNA) -- General Secretary Kim Jong Il's famous work "On Preserving the Juche Character and National Character of the Revolution and Construction" was brought out in booklet by a publishing house of Malta on Oct. 7. The work, published on June 19, Juche 86 (1997), clarifies the idea that it is a basic principle to be observed in the efforts to accomplish the cause of socialism to preserve the Juche character and national character in the revolution and construction and the tasks and ways to do so.

Seminars on Kim Jong Il's Works Held

    Pyongyang, October 14 (KCNA) -- A seminar on the famous work of Kim Jong Il "The Workers' Party of Korea Is a Juche-type Revolutionary Party Which Inherited the Glorious Tradition of the DIU" was held in Dar es Salaam on September 30 on the occasion of the 61st anniversary of the WPK and the 80th anniversary of the Down-with-Imperialism Union (DIU). Francis Fanuel Lyimo, chairman of the Tanzanian National Coordinating Committee of the Juche Idea Study Groups, said that the WPK has covered a glorious path of struggle on the basis of the roots struck in the DIU formed by President Kim Il Sung, adding that it has performed immortal feats to shine long with the century and developed into a mighty revolutionary party with single-minded unity and a wealth of experience.
    The WPK will always emerge a victor as it has Kim Jong Il as its general secretary, he stressed.
    A seminar on Kim Jong Il's famous work "The Workers' Party of Korea Is the Party of the Great Leader Comrade Kim Il Sung" was held by the Mexican Committee for the Study of Kimilsungism on Oct. 5.
    Ramon Jimenes Lopez, president of the committee, and other speakers praised the WPK for having steadily advanced under the uplifted banner of socialism, firmly preserving the ideological purity despite any storm and stress.

U.S. Hostile Policy towards DPRK under Fire in S. Korea

    Pyongyang, October 14 (KCNA) -- The south Korean Reunification Solidarity called a news conference in front of the U.S. embassy in Seoul on Oct. 10 in denunciation of the U.S. hostile policy toward the DPRK, according to a press report. The press release read out at the news conference noted that the 1994 Geneva Agreement and the joint statement adopted at the fourth round of the six-party talks (September 19 joint statement) and other agreements on denuclearizing the Korean Peninsula and ensuring peace in Northeast Asia have not been implemented due to the U.S. hostile policy toward the north and tensions have escalated on the peninsula.
    If the U.S. sincerely wants the denuclearization and peace of the Korean Peninsula, it should lift all sorts of sanctions against the north and opt for direct dialogue with it, it urged.
    It declared that the Reunification Solidarity would go on an indefinite sit-in strike in protest against the U.S. hostile policy toward the north at Citizens Park in Kwanghwamun from Oct. 16.

Sketch Contest Held

    Pyongyang, October 14 (KCNA) -- A sketch contest was held in the yard of the Nam Gate in Mt. Taesong in Pyongyang on Oct. 12 and 13 in celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Down-with-Imperialism Union. The contest drew many artists and university and middle school students. Divided into the groups of experts and students, they competed in sketching and semi-sketching of objects and figure sketching on the spot.
    The participants in the contest produced more than 150 sketches by fully displaying their talents.
    Such works as "Holiday Morning," "Those who defended the walled city of Pyongyang", "Korean Wrestling", "Our dance and our song", "Cheer up" and others were highly estimated for their high ideological and artistic values.
    Kim Jong Il developed sketching, which used to be an elementary skill for fine art, into part of the cultural and emotional life of the people in the era of Songun.
    There is growing social interest in sketches in the DPRK and sketching has become instrumental in enriching the flower garden of popular art.

National Students Exhibition Held

    Pyongyang, October 14 (KCNA) -- A national students exhibition of successes in information science and technology was held at the Three-Revolution Exhibition on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of Kim Il Sung University. On display at the exhibition were over 700 products of new technology invented by students from across the country in the course of their study and scientific researches.
    Highly estimated at the exhibition were valuable information and new technological inventions helpful to the modernization and informationalization of the national economy and the nation's development of education and science and technology such as a program for the general overhaul of equipment at the thermal power plant, a program for regulating the temperature in the sintering furnace for the production of cermet coated tools, a device for putting under control the number of freight wagons with the help of laser and a program to support teaching solid state physics.
    In the group of universities Kim Il Sung University took the special place, Huichon University of Post and Tele-communications came first, University of Science and Pyongyang University of Railways each placed second and Pyongyang University of Computer Technology and Pyongyang University of Agriculture third while Haeju Medical College came first in the group of colleges.

National Photo Exhibition Opens

    Pyongyang, October 14 (KCNA) -- A national photo exhibition was opened at the People's Palace of Culture on Oct. 13 on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Down-with-Imperialism Union (DIU). Displayed at the exhibition are at least 240 photos showing the undying leadership feats and greatness of President Kim Il Sung and General Secretary Kim Jong Il.
    Photos such as "The great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung organizing the DIU", "The great leader Comrade Kim Jong Il declaring the process of modeling the whole society on the Juche idea as the supreme programme of the Workers' Party of Korea" show the epoch-making changes the army and the people of the DPRK have made in the revolutionary struggle and construction in the DIU's idea of anti-imperialism, independence and sovereignty and socialism under the leadership of the peerless great persons for the last 80 years since the beginning of the history of the WPK.

Anniversary of Kim Jong Il's Work Marked

    Pyongyang, October 14 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun Saturday carries an article on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of Kim Jong Il's work "Officials Should Live and Work in the Spirit of 'Arduous March'." The work serves as guidelines as it clarifies the basic ways for the officials in the Songun era to successfully implement the line and policies of the Party without the slightest vacillation and hesitation despite whatever hardships and difficulties, the article notes, and goes on:
    The spirit displayed during the "Arduous March" is the transparent revolutionary spirit and indomitable fighting spirit displayed by the anti-Japanese revolutionary forerunners in defending the lifeline of the Korean revolution and bringing about a great surge in the revolution in the most difficult period of the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle under the leadership of President Kim Il Sung. This spirit helped overcome difficulties under the unprecedentedly hard conditions and bring about an epochal phase for the victory of the revolution. Herein lies the historic significance of the spirit.

DIU and WPK Anniversaries Celebrated

    Pyongyang, October 14 (KCNA) -- An oratorical contest of agricultural workers across the country was held on Friday on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the formation of the Down-with-Imperialism Union (DIU) and the 61st anniversary of the founding of the Workers' Party of Korea. Presented to the contest were those oratories appraised in the oratorical competition of agricultural workers throughout the country.
    Orators said that the idea of anti-imperialism, independence and sovereignty and socialism President Kim Il Sung set forth when forming the DIU has been applied to the Songun politics of Kim Jong Il, so that the Korean army and people are defending the independent dignity and honor of the nation, displaying the might of their invincibility in the confrontation with the U.S. imperialists.
    They expressed their determination to fulfill the duty of the agricultural workers in the Songun era responsible for the nation's granaries by bringing about a new turn in agricultural production this year, true to the revolutionary cause of Songun of the Party which has inherited the idea and fighting spirit of the DIU.

Commemorative Stamp Issued

    Pyongyang, October 14 (KCNA) -- A commemorative stamp (individual) has been published in the DPRK on the occasion of the diamond jubilee of the Red Cross Society of the DPRK. It was founded on the initiative of President Kim Il Sung on October 18, Juche 35 (1946).
    Reflected in the stamp beneath the words "In Commemoration of 60th Anniversary of Red Cross Society of Democratic People's Republic of Korea" are the flag of the DPRK Red Cross Society and photos showing various means to be used in first aid service, public welfare, disaster preparedness and response and relief activities.
    The face value of the stamp is 30 won.

WPK Inherits DIU Tradition

    Pyongyang, October 14 (KCNA) -- Eighty years have passed since the Down-with-Imperialism Union (DIU), the historical root of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), was formed by President Kim Il Sung in Huadian on October 17, Juche 15 (1926). The WPK has developed as an experienced, seasoned and invincible revolutionary Party while leading the unprecedentedly arduous Korean revolution to victory, because it has taken the idea of the DIU as its fundamental bedrock and has embodied it in the party building and activities.
    Since the formation of the DIU the Korean revolution has forged ahead on the principle of independence and in reliance upon the revolutionary unity and cohesion.
    The principle of independence held aloft by the DIU served as a starting point of the struggle for founding a revolutionary party of Juche type, a party of new type, differing from other parties in Korea in the past. And it has been kept and implemented in the whole period of the Party building and activities. The President adhered to the firm independent stand in this cause. He, proceeding not from approved theories and any experience of other countries but from the demand and interests of the Korean people and actual conditions of the Korean revolution, laid a solid organizational and ideological foundation for founding the Party by the method of organizing basic Party organizations before anything else. Basing himself on it, he founded the new revolutionary Party enrolling the progressive elements of workers, peasants and intellectuals immediately after the liberation of the country.
    Thanks to the DIU's brilliant tradition of attending President Kim Il Sung as the center of the unity and the leadership at the initial stage of the Korean revolution, the WPK has been strengthened to be a steel-strong party in which the whole party is firmly united with one thought and one will on the basis of the Juche idea and a revolutionary party which moves as one under the monolithic guidance of the leader.
    Having leader Kim Jong Il at its head, the WPK has been further consolidated as an ever-victorious one.
    Remaining true to his Songun revolutionary leadership, the WPK has defended the destiny of the country, the nation and socialism and paved the way for building a great prosperous powerful nation in the fierce confrontation with the U.S. imperialists. And it is demonstrating the high authority and the dignity as the tested general staff of the revolution, vanguard of the anti-imperialist and independent cause and the protector of justice which enjoys absolute support from the people.

Rodong Sinmun on U.S.-sponsored Terrorism

    Pyongyang, October 14 (KCNA) -- It is the most outrageous and shameless infringement upon sovereignty, harassment of peace and human rights abuse that the U.S. imperialists are resorting to military aggression and intervention in other countries under the signboard of "war on terrorism". Rodong Sinmun Saturday observes this in a signed article.
    The U.S. has set plot-breeding and terrorism as its state policy, with which it is getting frantic to achieve its dominationist objective, the article says, and goes on:
    The U.S. imperialists' internal and external policy is characterized by the most ferocious and vicious terrorism.
    The invasion of Iraq unilaterally committed by the U.S. without legal ground and justification despite strong protest and opposition of the international community is typical of state-sponsored terrorism as a grave encroachment upon sovereignty.
    It is an unpardonable state-sponsored terrorism that the U.S. imperialists have arrogantly and outrageously fixed it as their state policy to kill state leaders of other countries.
    Catastrophic consequence, a vicious cycle of terrorism and retaliation, is prevailing and the world is plunging into uncontrollable instability and confusion due to the U.S. policy of "anti-terrorism."
    Sovereignty and security of sovereign states are heavily threatened and infringed on and the human cause of peace is faced with a grave challenge. It is the result of the U.S. "war on terrorism" that bomb explosions, suicidal bombings and armed attacks are unabated in different countries including Iraq and Afghanistan.
    The U.S., chieftain of state-sponsored terrorism, is not qualified to talk about "terrorism." The U.S. should stop the "war on terrorism" aimed to realize its wild ambition for world domination.

S. Korean Security Authorities' Plot under Fire

    Pyongyang, October 14 (KCNA) -- Minju Joson Saturday comes out with a commentary denouncing the south Korean security authorities for plotting to fabricate a "case of an organization behind the south Korean Federation of University Student Councils (Hanchongryon)". Accusing the Intelligence Service and the Public Security Investigation Corps of south Korea of having faked up such document as prearranged "organizational line-up" and pressurized Choe Hui Jong, permanent researcher of the Institute for Civil Rights Studies, to admit to it, the commentary says:
    This is a crime reminiscent of the period of the fascist dictatorship, an indication that the security authorities have not yet dropped their bad habit of faking up cases.
    It is their sinister intention to quell at any cost the tendency of supporting the Songun politics daily growing among the south Korean people and crack down upon the south Korean progressive reformist forces by linking them with the DPRK. By doing so, they seek to create an environment favorable for the "Grand National Party's" seizure of power in a bid to install a pro-U.S. "regime" without fail through the 2007 presidential election.
    To this end they made Choe a victim of their plot for the mere reason that he wrote articles supporting the Songun politics and are orchestrating a charade aimed at suppressing Hanchongryon, which has conducted the movement for national reunification with main emphasis on the anti-U.S. struggle under the banner of the three-point patriotic movement.
    The above-said moves of the security authorities are calling on the south Korean people to be vigilant against them.
    Should they remain an onlooker to such plot, this will make it impossible to prevent the tragedy of youths and students and people desirous of independence, democracy and reunification being punished on false charges of their involvement in the case. Then it will be as clear as noonday that the pro-U.S. conservative forces including the GNP will wrest power and bring back the inter-Korean relations to those before the adoption of the June 15 joint declaration, the commentary warns.

Master's Degree of DPRK Awarded to Chinese Teacher

    Pyongyang, October 14 (KCNA) -- A degree of Master of Linguistics of the DPRK was awarded to a teacher of Heilongjiang University in China. An awarding ceremony took place at the People's Palace of Culture Saturday.
    A decree of the State Commission for Conferring Degrees and Titles of the DPRK was read out before conferring the degree to Ning Wei, a teacher of the school for oriental linguistic studies of Heilongjiang University in China, who contributed to the researches into combining forms of Korean grammatical particles and their characteristics during the period of her practice at Kim Il Sung University.

Minju Joson rechaza nuevo complot de autoridades surcoreanas

    Pyongyang, 14 de octubre (ATCC) -- El periodico Minju Joson publico este sabado un comentario individual que sigue: Recientemente, los "Servicios de Inteligencia" y el "Cuerpo de Investigacion de Seguridad" del Sur de Corea forzaron al miembro permanente del "Instituto de los Derechos Civiles del Sur de Corea", Choe Hui Jong, a admitir una lista fraudulenta sobre la supuesta "organizacion detras de la Federacion de Consejos Generales de Estudiantes Universitarios del Sur de Corea (FCGEUSC)".
    Esta conducta criminal, que hace recordar del periodo de la anterior dictadura fascista, insinua que las autoridades surcoreanas de seguridad publica no dejan todavia su vicio de tejer complots.
    La verdadera intencion de ellas es enfriar el clima de apoyo a la politica de Songun (priorizacion militar), que se hace cada dia mas calido entre los habitantes surcoreanos, y reprimir a las fuerzas reformistas progresistas vinculandolas con la RPDC.
    De esta forma, quieren dar un ambiente favorable a la conquista del poder por parte del "Gran Partido Nacional" para conformar a todo trance un "poder" proyanqui en las "elecciones presidenciales" del proximo ano.
    Para este fin, acriminan a Choe Hui Jong, quien escribio articulos de apoyo a la politica de Songun, y lanzan una campana intrigante contra la FCGEUSC, que despliega el movimiento por la reunificacion de la patria teniendo por lo clave la lucha antiyanqui bajo la bandera de los 3 movimientos patrioticos.
    Al mismo tiempo, este incidente exige a los habitantes surcoreanos no quedarse con brazos cruzados.
    Es porque si lo permiten, los jovenes estudiantes y los demas habitantes aspirantes a la independencia, democracia y reunificacion volveran a ser ejecutados tragicamente caidos en esas trampas.
    A la larga, las fuerzas conservadoras proyanquis, inclusive el GPN, usurparan el poder y empeoraran las relaciones intercoreanas como las que existian antes de la aprobacion de la Declaracion Conjunta Norte-Sur del 15 de Junio.

Malta: obra de Kim Jong Il en folleto

    Pyongyang, 14 de octubre (ATCC) -- El Complejo de Editoriales de Malta dio a luz el dia 7 en folleto la obra maestra del Dirigente Kim Jong Il "Para mantener el espiritu Juche y la nacionalidad en el proceso revolucionario y constructivo", publicada el 19 de junio del 86 (1997) de la Era Juche. @La obra indica la idea de que el mantenimiento del espiritu Juche y de la nacionalidad en el proceso revolucionario y constructivo es el principio fundamental para el cumplimiento de la causa del socialismo y dilucida las tareas y medios para materializarla.

Actos festivos de trabajadores agricolas

    Pyongyang, 14 de octubre (ATCC) -- Tuvo lugar el dia 13 el certamen nacional de oratoria de trabajadores agricolas por el 80o aniversario de la fundacion de la "Union para Derrotar al Imperialismo" y el 61o aniversario de la fundacion del Partido del Trabajo de Corea. En la ocasion se presentaron los oradores de elocuencia que disfrutaron de alta evaluacion en el concurso nacional de oratoria de trabajadores agricolas.
    El ideal del antiimperialismo, la soberania, la independencia y el socialismo, que hace ahora 80 anos el Presidente Kim Il Sung presento al fundar la "UDI", se ha materializado fielmente en la politica de Songun (priorizacion militar) del Dirigente Kim Jong Il, gracias a lo cual el ejercito y el pueblo de Corea salen siempre victoriosos en la confrontacion con los imperialistas norteamericanos y defienden con firmeza la dignidad soberana y el honor de la nacion, subrayaron los oradores.
    Y expresaron la decision de apoyar con fidelidad la causa revolucionaria del Songun del PTC que hereda invariablemente la idea, el ideal y el espiritu de lucha de la "UDI" y operar un nuevo viraje en la produccion agricola de este ano para cumplir el deber de trabajadores agricolas de la epoca del Songun.
    Acto seguido, se ofrecio una funcion del grupo de propaganda artistica central de la Union de Trabajadores Agricolas de Corea.
    Se pusieron en la escena el coro "Gloria al General", la cancion con acompanamiento de Oungum "Lucero de Corea", la poesia y cancion "Que enarbolen la bandera de la LUDIL", el coro masculino "Viva el PTC", el solo femenino "Que hable el camino del Songun", el duo mixto "Cielo azul de mi pais", la narracion y coro "Cancion de la camaraderia" y otras piezas.
    Los ejecutantes elogiaron las inmortales hazanas revolucionarias de los grandes hombres sin pares realizadas en el desarrollo del PTC y el avance victorioso de la causa revolucionaria del Juche.

PTC heredo la tradicion de la UDI

    Pyongyang, 14 de octubre (ATCC) -- Se cumplen 80 anos desde cuando se fundo la Union para Derrotar al Imperialismo (UDI), raiz historica del Partido del Trabajo de Corea. El PTC se ha podido fortalecer en un invencible partido revolucionario que conduce a la victoria la revolucion coreana ardua sin precedente, lo cual se debe a la toma del ideal de la UDI por base fundamental y la materializacion de este en la construccion y las actividades del partido.
    El Presidente Kim Il Sung fundo la UDI en Huadian el 17 de octubre del 15 (1926) de la Era Juche. Desde entonces la revolucion coreana pudo avanzar a base del principio de la independencia y la unidad revolucionaria.
    El principio de la independencia presentado por la UDI sirvio de punto de partida de la lucha por la fundacion de nuevo partido revolucionario de tipo jucheano en Corea, distinto a los anteriores, y fue defendido y materializado en todo el proceso de la construccion y actividades del partido.
    El Presidente, con la firme posicion independiente, consolido la base organizativa e ideologica de la fundacion del partido con el metodo de crear primero las organizaciones de base partiendo de la demanda e intereses del pueblo coreano y las condiciones reales de la revolucion coreana, en vez de imitar las teorias existentes y las experiencias de otros paises. A base de ello, a raiz de la liberacion fundo el partido revolucionario de nuevo tipo integrado por los obreros, campesinos e intelectuales progresistas.
    Gracias a la brillante tradicion de la UDI que en albores de la revolucion coreana enaltecio al Presidente Kim Il Sung como centro de la unidad y de la direccion, el PTC llego a ser un partido de acero en que todos sus miembros estan unidos firmemente en lo ideo-volitivo a base de la idea Juche, y una agrupacion politica revolucionaria en que todos sus miembros actuan como un solo hombre bajo la unica direccion del Lider.
    Al enaltecer al puesto supremo del partido al Dirigente Kim Jong Il el PTC pudo hacerse invencible.
    El PTC, bajo la direccion del Dirigente sobre la revolucion mediante el Songun (priorizacion militar), defiende el destino de la patria, la nacion y el socialismo en la aguda confrontacion con el imperialismo norteamericano y abre una nueva ruta de avance de la construccion de una gran potencia prospera. De esta manera exalta su gran autoridad y dignidad de probado estado mayor de la revolucion que disfruta de absoluto apoyo del pueblo, de vanguardia de la causa de antiimperialismo e independencia y de defensor de la justicia.
