All People Called upon to Work Hard to Build Rich and Powerful Nation
Pyongyang, November 12 (KCNA) -- A great prosperous powerful socialist nation of Juche the Korean people are working hard to build means a country in which the sovereign right and interests of the popular masses are fully guaranteed in all fabrics of social life including politics, economy, ideology and culture and a country with strong national power which no enemy dares attack. Building this kind of country would bring the prosperity of Korean style. Rodong Sinmun Sunday says this in a signed article.
It goes on:
The great prosperous powerful socialist nation of Juche means, first of all, a powerful nation with single-minded unity in which all the army and people are united around the leader as one.
The DPRK is an indestructible political and ideological power in which the leader and the masses are united as firm as a rock. The single-minded unity of the party, the army and the people means unity in thinking and purpose and sense of moral obligation based on the revolutionary faith and comradeship. This is genuine and solid unity and cohesion which neither nuclear weapons nor crafty psychological warfare can ever break. The DPRK is the only country in the world which has achieved steel-like unity and cohesion around the leader and always emerged victorious with the might of army-people unity.
The great prosperous powerful socialist nation of Juche also means a militarily strong nation with its own tremendous military muscle.
It is thanks to the matchless military power that the DPRK has firmly maintained its independent stand in the stand-off with the U.S. imperialists and displayed its dignity as an invincible socialist powerful nation.
No force on earth can invade the DPRK as it has turned into an impregnable fortress in the true sense of the word, a country with a matchless army having Kim Jong Il, invincible and legendary commander, as the supreme leader of the forces for national defence, fully prepared politically and ideologically and highly modernized in military and technological terms and boasting perfect unity with the people.
The great prosperous powerful socialist nation of Juche means, at the same time, a rich and powerful nation in which all the sectors of the economy make a leap forward on the basis of modern science and technology and in which the standard of the people's living steadily improves.
The Korean people are fully determined to more firmly defend the socialist country and build it into a more prosperous one, cherishing through their life experience the strong faith that they become happier when the country gets more prosperous.
Repeal of "NSL" Demanded in S. Korea
Pyongyang, November 12 (KCNA) -- The Citizens' Solidarity for Press Reform, the "Journalist Association of Korea," the "National Federation of Press Trade Unions" and other media organizations of south Korea reportedly held a seminar on the subject of "History of Evil Law Which Has Suppressed Press and Tasks to Abolish It" at the building of "the National Assembly" on Nov. 7.
Speakers at the seminar asserted that the "National Security Law" is the very evil law which has suppressed the "freedom of thinking and expression," i.e. the freedom of the press.
They denounced Chosun Ilbo and other conservative media for taking the lead in defending the NSL, which denies the freedom of thinking. They also accused the conservative media of spreading the rumor about "tracking down spies" throughout the society after groundlessly describing the "case of the single-minded persons' association" as a "spy ring case."
Noting that the NSL is the most evil law suppressing the freedom of press, they proved the justice of the repeal of the evil law.
They demanded the "National Assembly" urgently institute a "law for the repeal of the NSL," a "special law on probing the truth behind the suppression of the press" and so on.
Students' Action Plan Announced in S. Korea
Pyongyang, November 12 (KCNA) -- The student committee of the Democratic Workers' Party of south Korea made public an action plan on Nov. 7 calling on all the people to turn out in actions in November, according to the south Korean Internet radio "Voice of People".
The committee set the period from Nov. 8 to 22 as a period of actions and decided to conduct positive activities under the uplifted slogan "Let the student committee of the Democratic Workers' Party take the lead in making arrangements for successfully arousing all the people to turn out in Nov. 22 action."
The committee said it would stage a variety of popular information service such as lecture, literature exhibition and signature campaign to check the negotiations for the conclusion of the south Korea-U.S. "Free Trade Agreement" and achieve the peace on the Korean Peninsula against the U.S. and war and shatter the public security authorities' crackdown on the above-said party in that period.
The committee declared Nov. 22 as the "day of student action against the conclusion of the FTA and war" and decided to stage dynamic actions for arousing all the people to turn out in actions such as issuing statements calling for joint student actions for the lifting of the U.S. sanctions against the north and a halt to the negotiations for the conclusion of the FTA at major universities and in various parts of Seoul and holding round-table talks for the same purpose.
S. Korean Authorities' Measure to Set More Wire Entanglements under Fire
Pyongyang, November 12 (KCNA) -- The south Korean authorities reportedly put up more wire entanglements in the area of Taechu-ri and Todu-ri of Phaengsong Town, Phyongthaek City, Kyonggi Province, an area planned for the enlarged base of the U.S. forces, on Nov. 8. They mobilized a police force of 50 companies and several helicopters to put down the resistance of the people in the area of Phyongthaek against the action, creating a horror-ridden atmosphere.
The members of the all-people measure committee to check the expansion of the U.S. military base in Phyongthaek and the Phaengsong Town measure committee to oppose the expansion of the U.S. military base and people in Taechu-ri and Todu-ri held news conferences and rallies one after another to protest the outrageous action of the authorities.
The action taken by the authorities is aimed at depriving the people in Phyongthaek of their last cradle and driving them to death, they stated, demanding them immediately stop throwing wire entanglements designed to stamp out the vital rights of the people.
A candle-light rally was held in Taechu-ri on the evening of that day to check the expansion of the U.S. military base in Phyongthaek and protect the land.
The participants in the rally said that the criminals of the history deserve punishment, expressing their pent-up resentment against the sycophantic and treacherous action of the authorities.

Anti-War Rally for Peace Held in S. Korea
Pyongyang, November 11 (KCNA) -- An anti-war rally for peace was reportedly held by youths and students in Seoul on Nov. 4.
Speakers including Kim Ik Sok, permanent representative of the headquarters of youths and students of the south side committee for implementing the June 15 joint declaration, and Jang Song Hoe, chairperson of the south Korean Federation of University Student Councils, noted that the U.S. has become evermore undisguised in its moves to provoke a nuclear war to invade the north. They bitterly condemned its hostile policy towards the north for threatening peace on the Korean Peninsula.
A resolution read out at the rally said that the Koreans can never expect outsiders to bring peace but should preserve it by themselves, calling on all young people to devote their enthusiasm to the struggle for protecting the dignity of the nation.
At the end of the rally, the participants staged a demonstration.
Cancellation of U.S. Nuclear War Scenario against DPRK Demanded
Pyongyang, November 11 (KCNA) -- The European Regional Headquarters of the National Alliance for the Country's Reunification and the Society for Cooperation among Koreans in Germany on Nov. 5 reportedly issued a joint statement urging the U.S. to immediately roll back the anti-DPRK nuclear war scenario.
The statement said it was disclosed by the Washington Times on Nov. 3 that the U.S. is preparing a scenario for a nuclear attack on the DPRK in top secret. It vehemently assailed the U.S. for working on such a war scenario, while talking about "peaceful solution" to the nuclear issue on the Korean Peninsula.
The forces zealously following the U.S. scenario for a nuclear war on the Korean Peninsula will never escape a stern punishment by the Korean nation, the statement warned.
It called on all Koreans in the south, the north and overseas to clear Korea of the U.S. threat of a nuclear war in the spirit of "By our nation itself" and dynamically turn out in a three-point patriotic movement.
Intensified Anti-U.S. and Anti-War Struggle Called for
Pyongyang, November 11 (KCNA) -- All the Koreans in the north and the south and abroad should wage a more dynamic anti-U.S. and anti-war struggle to protect the dignity and honor of the nation to cope with the grave situation prevailing in Korea, says Rodong Sinmun Saturday in a signed article.
The madcap anti-north war exercises of the U.S. imperialists and the south Korean warhawks raise an urgent necessity for the Koreans in the north and the south and abroad to turn out in a struggle against the U.S. and war in order to foil the U.S. imperialists' reckless military provocations and defend the peace of the country and the security of the nation, the article says, and goes on:
In order to resolutely foil the U.S. imperialists' moves to invade the DPRK it is necessary to wage a more dynamic struggle against the U.S. and war under the uplifted banner of "By our nation itself."
A fierce struggle should be launched to force the U.S. imperialist aggression troops, a local executor of the U.S. policy of aggression against the DPRK, to quit south Korea. The U.S. is crying out that it has no intention to invade the north, asserting "it stands for a peaceful solution" and "it has no idea of launching invasion" and the like. This is, however, nothing but hypocrisy.
The south Koreans from all walks of life should escalate the struggle to drive the U.S. imperialist aggression troops out of south Korea and thus remove the root cause of war, bearing deep in mind that a way out for them is to wage a struggle against the U.S. and war.
The anti-U.S. and anti-war struggle can succeed only through national cooperation. For the Korean nation to win victory in the stand-off with the U.S. imperialists, group of ferocious aggressors, it should realize national cooperation from the stand of relying upon the strength of the nation with strong sense of national self-esteem.
Cooperation with aggressive outsiders is an anachronistic act of treachery as it invites north-south confrontation and war of aggression. The south Korean authorities should immediately stop such criminal acts as straining the situation and harassing peace by yielding to the pressure, threat and blackmail of outsiders and joining them in their moves for aggression and war against the fellow countrymen.
End to GIs' Killings of Koreans Demanded
Pyongyang, November 11 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun Saturday carries an article disclosing the GIs' massacre in south Korea.
Citing facts to prove that the human rights abuses and mass-killings committed by the U.S. imperialist aggression troops in south Korea for the past more than six decades were the most barbarous in the aggression troops' history of occupation, the article says:
The history of the U.S. imperialist aggression troops' presence in south Korea is characterized by all sorts of monstrous crimes. They killed or crippled a large number of innocent Koreans through deliberate shooting, violence, burglary, rape, arson and traffic accidents in different parts of south Korea, considering its people as "colonial subjects." They have thus inflicted unspeakable misfortune and pain upon civilians there. Not even a day has passed by without blood shed by the people in south Korea. They killed south Koreans, men and women, young and old, and made mockery of them, considering them as games, moving targets, time-killers and playthings. An "incident of shooting a girl in Kunsan" in which a GI shot a herb-picking girl to death, calling her a pheasant, an "incident of carrying a boy in a box in helicopter in Puphyong" in which a GI stabbed a 14-year old shoe-polishing boy near U.S. Air Force maintenance store in his knees and arms, put him into a box and forced him to board a helicopter before dropping him from it, after being groundlessly charged with "stealing" and an "incident of killing woodman in Phaju" in which a GI shot a firewood-gathering farmer to death, regarding him as a roe deer are just a tip of iceberg of monstrous crimes perpetrated by the U.S. imperialist ogres.
GIs' bestial violence against south Korean women, in particular, is touching off towering indignation among the Koreans. They assaulted or gang-raped women in different parts of south Korea as they pleased and even stabbed or strangled them to death if they refused to meet their demands. These are the most hideous crimes against humanity that can be perpetrated only by the Yankees steeped in national chauvinism and misanthropy to the marrow of their bones.
South Koreans cannot live in peace even a moment as long as south Korea remains under the occupation of the U.S. imperialist aggression troops who are chiefly to blame for blocking the independent and democratic development of the south Korean society and killing millions of innocent people in cold blood.
