Initiative to Organize Visits to Old Home of Kim Jong Il Supported
Pyongyang, November 26 (KCNA) -- Otete Gaston Mboyo, national chairman of the Genuine Lumumbist Patriotic Party of Democratic Congo who is chairman of the Democratic Congo-Korea Friendship and Solidarity Association, made public on Nov. 20 a statement titled "Let us turn out in the activities for the implementation of the Mt. Paektu declaration on the occasion of the February holiday, the birthday of H.E. Kim Jong Il".
The great idea of President Kim Il Sung who is always alive in the hearts of humankind thanks to his immortal feats performed for the cause of global independence is successfully carried forward by Kim Jong Il, the statement said, adding:
The National Committee of the Party and the association fully support the initiative to organize visits to the birthplace of the sun in February next year and will sponsor multifarious functions and conduct widespread activities for introducing the great personality of Kim Jong Il and Songun Korea in the period.
They will significantly organize the work for recommending delegations to visit to the above-said place, the statement noted, calling on the organizations for friendship and solidarity with the Korean people and international democratic organizations to take an active part in the event.
Sanctions of U.S. and Its Vassal States against DPRK under Fire in S. Korea
Pyongyang, November 26 (KCNA) -- The U.S. and the south Korean authorities should bear in mind that sanctions are incompatible with dialogue. The Youth and Student Solidarity for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration of south Korea reportedly warned this in a statement on Nov. 22.
Despite the fact that an agreement was reached on the resumption of the six-party talks, the U.S. and its vassal states are escalating their sanctions and pressure upon the DPRK behind the scene, the statement noted, and continued:
The south Korean authorities' voting for the "resolution on human rights in north Korea" at the UN is an act of disregarding the idea of "By our nation itself", the main spirit of the June 15 joint declaration, and an anti-reunification act as it bedevils the inter-Korean relations.
If the authorities truly want peace on this land, they should not opt for cooperation with outsiders which escalates the tension on the Korean Peninsula but stand for national cooperation.
Anniversary of Kim Jong Il's Work Observed
Pyongyang, November 26 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun today dedicates an article to the fourth anniversary of Kim Jong Il's famous work "Let's Pave Way for Fresh Victory with Same Revolutionary Faith, Will and Pluck as Great Leader Had".
Our people's conviction of sure victory displayed in the course of the all-out march of the Songun revolution finds its most vivid manifestation in that they are dynamically advancing along the road indicated by Kim Jong Il, reposing undisputed trust in him, the article notes, and goes on:
This noble ideological and moral world of the Korean people characterized by their absolute trust in him finds a striking manifestation in their spirit of devotedly implementing his instructions to the letter. All the servicepersons and people consider it as their life and soul to devotedly defend the headquarters of the revolution and create anything from nothing and turn impossibility into possibility, if wished by him to do so.
The Korean people are displaying unshakable faith in the above-said all-out march by strictly abiding by the principle of independence against imperialism, the principle of socialism, firmly convinced of the victory of Korean style socialism.
They are upholding the Songun policy of the Workers' Party of Korea, regarding it the most sacred civic duty to defend the country even under the situation where they are hard pressed for everything and decisively shattering the economic blockade of the U.S. imperialists and reactionaries in the revolutionary spirit of self-reliance. They always live and work in a revolutionary and sound manner as required by the socialist way of life, standing firm against the enemies' vicious ideological and cultural poisoning.
The above-mentioned firm faith of the Korean people finds a clear expression in the fact that they are giving full play to the fervent patriotic enthusiasm in their efforts to make their country rich, strong and prosperous.
The Korean working class is manufacturing modern type machines and energetically pushing forward the technological updating of the national economy by itself with the grit and pluck instilled into it by the party. The agricultural workers in the DPRK are now all out in the drive to boost the agricultural production, true to the party's policy of bringing about a signal turn in agriculture. The scientists and technicians are reaching the eminence of ultra-modern science and technology by their own efforts and with their own wisdom and technology, single-mindedly determined to glorify their country. All the people in the DPRK are working hard to turn their residential areas and workplaces into a socialist land of bliss with ardent love for their country, worksites and native places.
All Koreans Called upon to Hold High Banner of "By Our Nation Itself"
Pyongyang, November 26 (KCNA) -- No force on earth can deter the Koreans from advancing toward independent reunification under the banner of "By our nation itself," says Rodong Sinmun Sunday in a signed article.
The June 15 era of reunification is the era of independent reunification as the idea of "By our nation itself", the transparent spirit of national independence, serves as the spirit of the times and national reconciliation and cooperation and the movement for independent reunification have become a trend of the times, the article notes, and goes on:
The separatist forces forsaken by history with the advent of the June 15 era of reunification are making last-ditch efforts to block the advance of the era and restore the old era of confrontation. The foreign forces and the anti-reunification forces are frantically kicking up rackets of confrontation with the DPRK and persisting in their moves to provoke a new war, going against the desire of the nation and the trend of the times. All this is aimed at hamstringing the efforts of the Koreans to achieve reconciliation, peace and independent reunification through national cooperation. The unreasonable intervention and obstructions of the U.S. and the pro-U.S. conservative forces have repeatedly thrown the favorably developing inter-Korean relations and smoothly progressing undertakings for reconciliation and cooperation into crises. The June 15 era should not allow any foreign forces and anti-reunification forces to halt its advance or terminate it. It is the great idea and ideal that steers the era. The idea of "By our nation itself", the great spirit of independence, is cherished deep in the heart of every Korean. With no vicious obstructions can the separatist forces at home and abroad stop the advance of the June 15 era of reunification or terminate it.
The era of independent reunification is making a dynamic advance under the banner of "By our nation itself" despite all difficulties though it is facing unprecedented challenges and ordeals.
All Koreans have strong will and resolution to firmly preserve the June 15 era of reunification and further glorify it with firm confidence and optimism, the article concludes.
Japan's Moves for Overseas Expansion under Fire
Pyongyang, November 26 (KCNA) -- The Japanese reactionaries should immediately give up their militarist moves for overseas expansion as they drive their country to complete destruction.
Minju Joson Sunday demands this in a signed commentary.
It goes on:
The present Japanese government has clearly opted for militarist overseas expansion as its preceding regimes did. The chief executive officially asserted himself that Japan's "pacifist constitution" is unjust as it was worked out under somebody's coercion after the war and blustered that he would take the "bold action" of revising the constitution during the tenure of his office.
The Japanese reactionaries consider as a dagger thrust into their backs Article 9 of the constitution, its principal article which calls for renouncing Japan's right to belligerence and participation in wars, bans keeping an army as regular armed forces and does not recognize the right to collective self-defence.
They seek to pull out this dagger in a bid to rush headlong into the operations to invade and conquer the Asian continent as they did in the past. This is the very reason why they are getting so frantic in their moves to revise the constitution.
It is as clear as noonday that in case the present constitution is replaced by a war constitution in Japan to build a state mechanism for militarist overseas expansion, this will pose a direct threat to the peace and stability in Northeast Asia.
The Asian countries will never tolerate Japan's moves for militarist overseas expansion as they experienced the vicious and brutal nature of the Japanese militarists, the commentary concludes.
Birthdays of Great Persons to Be Commemorated in Tanzania
Pyongyang, November 25 (KCNA) -- It is a due obligation for all the organizations for friendship and solidarity with the Korean people in the world to significantly commemorate the birthdays of the peerlessly great men as common holidays.
Francis F. Lyimo, vice-chairman of the Tanzania-DPRK Friendship Association, said this in a statement issued on Nov. 16.
He expressed full support to the appeal of the Swiss organization for significantly commemorating the Day of the Sun and February 16 in 2007 as common holidays of progressive humankind.
President Kim Il Sung, the founder of the Juche idea, is the greatest man who performed immortal exploits for the Korean revolution and the cause of global independence, he noted, and continued:
Kim Jong Il is highly praised by the world progressives as the sun of the 21st century as he has successfully carried forward the cause of the President. The association will form a preparatory committee for commemorating the Day of the Sun and February 16 in 2007 to hold multifarious political and cultural events across the country and thus create an atmosphere of praising the great men.
It will also send a delegation of visitors to the old home of Kim Jong Il in the secret camp in Mt. Paektu in February 2007 and conduct dynamic solidarity activities for supporting the Korean people in their just cause.
Repeal of "Resolution" on Sanctions against DPRK Demanded in S. Korea
Pyongyang, November 25 (KCNA) -- Representatives of student organizations including the south Korean Federation of University Student Councils (Hanchongryon), the south Korean Federation of University Students in the 21st Century (Handaeryon) and the "National Federation of Journalists of University Newspapers" reportedly called a press conference in Seoul on Nov. 18 demanding the withdrawal of the "resolution" which calls for applying sanctions against the DPRK adopted at the UNSC.
Kim Jong Hyon, chairman in charge of solidarity actions of Handaeryon, Jang Song Hoe, chairman of Hanchongryon, and other speakers said that the "resolution" would further deepen the war crisis on the Korean Peninsula.
They bitterly denounced the south Korean authorities' voting for the "resolution on human rights in the north" at the UN by joining the U.S. in its sanctions and pressure upon the DPRK as a treacherous act of chilling the desire of all the fellow countrymen for reunification.
They declared they would take the lead in the actions to scrap the above-said "resolutions."
The participants conducted information activities, holding slogan boards reading: "UN, lift the sanctions against the DPRK as they would lead to a war" and "No war, for peace!"
General Strike in S. Korea
Pyongyang, November 25 (KCNA) -- The "Korean Confederation of Trade Unions" (KCTU) reportedly entered into a general strike in all fields on Nov. 22.
The KCTU raised the four-point demand including opposition to the retrogressive revision of the labor law and adoption of a legislation for guaranteeing the rights of the part-time workers and a halt to the negotiation for concluding the south Korea-U.S. "Free Trade Agreement" before demanding the "government" and all political parties honest response to the demand through a series of warning strikes but no measure has been taken in this regard. The strike was called in protest against this behavior.
A meeting took place in the plaza in front of the Seoul City Office that day to vow to stage the general strike.
Jo Jun Ho, chairman of the KCTU, and other speakers said that they would surely win the rights of workers through the general strike and check the negotiation for FTA with the U.S. and thus protect workers, peasants and other people from the forthcoming disasters.
The general strike across the country was participated in by at least 200,000 members of the organizations under the KCTU including the Federation of Metal Industry Trade Unions, the Federation of Chemical Fibre Trade Unions and the Transport Solidarity.
Actions were staged in 15 areas including Seoul, Taejon and Kwangju on Nov. 22 to arouse all people to struggle for their rights.
The "National Teachers Union" held a meeting of teachers across south Korea in front of the building of the Seoul City Office to take vacation en masse in protest against the educational authorities' introduction of a system for re-estimating teachers before joining in the general strike called by the KCTU.
U.S. Arbitrary and High-Handed Practices under Fire
Pyongyang, November 25 (KCNA) -- The U.S. imperialists' arbitrary and high-handed practices are very dangerous acts as they go against humankind's desire for independence and progress, peace and stability, says Rodong Sinmun Saturday in a signed article.
The injustice of those practices of the U.S. imperialists finds its expression in that they turn the international relations into the unfair and unequal relations governed by the law of the jungle, the article notes, and goes on:
The U.S. is apt to put political and economic pressure upon other countries and perpetrate high-handed military actions against them for the mere reason that they have different ideologies and social systems from it and they fail to meekly meet its demands.
This is an outrageous breach of international law and a criminal act of blocking the development of the fair international relations. The U.S. authorities insist on their unacceptable American-style logic and arrogant conception that their will is precisely a law to govern the world and any country violating this law is liable to become a target of their military strike. If the above-said practices of the U.S. imperialists are overlooked any longer, the life style governed by the law of the jungle will prevail over the international community and justice and truth will be mercilessly trampled down and the world will turn into a lawless one.
Their arbitrary and high-handed practices are criminal acts of seriously disturbing the peace and stability of the world. It was a typical example of those practices that the U.S. perpetrated brigandish aggression against Iraq defying the wishes and will of the UN and the international community. Any aggression against a sovereign state constitutes state terrorism and an infringement upon its sovereignty. The U.S. imperialists' "anti-terrorism war" is chiefly aimed at establishing an American-style order for dominating the world by force.
The above-mentioned practices of the U.S. imperialists are criminal acts to block the independent development of all the countries and nations, the progress and prosperity of humankind. Only when the principle of non-interference in other's internal affairs is observed in the international relations can all the countries and nations choose ideologies and social systems according to their wishes to suit their specific conditions and exist with their own political life style and their own way of managing economy. The U.S. has openly interfered in other countries' internal affairs, advocating the unacceptable logic that there should be no ideologies and social systems that do not meet its will and interests.
The U.S. is neither entitled to represent the international community nor capable of doing so. The U.S. imperialist's persistent arbitrary and high-handed practices in the international arena would precipitate their thorough international isolation.
Songun Policy Supported
Pyongyang, November 25 (KCNA) -- The people from all walks of life should positively support and uphold the Songun policy pursued by Kim Jong Il, always remembering his immortal leadership exploits, because his historic inspection of Panmunjom brought about a new phase in the movement for national reunification.
The vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front (AINDF) said this in a statement issued on November 24 on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of his historic inspection of Panmunjom, according to the Kuguk Jonson Internet site.
He said:
The above-said inspection of Panmunjom by Kim Jong Il, the illustrious commander born in Mt. Paektu, was a great deed of special mention as it instilled into the Koreans strong conviction of reunification and redoubled courage to achieve it whereas it brought great uneasiness and horror to the separatists at home and abroad. This news came as a strong shock and created quite a stir worldwide.
His historic inspection brought the dawn of reunification to the land of 3,000 ri frozen due to confrontation and division and gave all Koreans a new hope and confidence of national reunification. This immortal feat will always shine in the national history.
The cause of national reunification is witnessing a new historic turning-point thanks to Kim Jong Il's Songun policy.
The powerful war deterrent of the DPRK, a praiseworthy result of the Songun policy, serves as a mighty treasured sword as it provided the Korean people with a bright prospect of winning a decisive victory in the stand-off with the U.S. and achieving national reunification.
All the people should wage a dynamic patriotic movement for independent reunification, peace against war and great national unity under the banner of the June 15 joint declaration to decisively frustrate the harsh sanctions of the U.S. and its followers against the DPRK and turn out as one in the struggle to foil the plot of the pro-U.S. conservatives to return to power.
The AINDF will as always creditably fulfill its historic mission as the vanguard leading the struggle of the people from all walks of life to win independence against foreign forces and the movement for national reunification under the invincible banner of Songun.

Pyongyang, November 26 (KCNA)-- General Secretary Kim Jong Il appreciated a performance given by the State Symphony Orchestra.
Also among the audience were First Vice Department Directors of the Central Committee of the WPK Ri Yong Chol, Ri Je Gang and Ri Jae Il and other leading officials of the C.C., WPK and Generals of the Korean People's Army Ri Myong Su, Hyon Chol Hae and Pak Jae Gyong and other commanding officers of the KPA.
Artistes of the orchestra put on the stage colorful numbers including "Glory to the General", the fourth movement of the symphony suite "Long Journey for the Songun Revolution", orchestras "Swinging Girl", "Arirang", "Collection of Famous Songs", "The Sound of a Horse's Hooves in Mt. Paektu", "Rich Harvest Comes to the Chongsan Plain", and a female soprano "Spinning Wheel Ballad".
They truthfully represented the strong spirit of the servicepersons and people dashing ahead like the wind to greet the dawn of a great prosperous powerful nation, holding aloft the great banner of Songun. They, at the same time, fully demonstrated the profound emotional power of the orchestras spiced with strong national flavor through the peculiar echo made by a mixed orchestra, thus clearly proving the validity and vitality of the WPK's policy of creating, arranging and representing music strictly in Korean style.
Kim Jong Il highly appreciated the successful presentation and extended thanks to the creators and artistes of the orchestra, expressing great satisfaction over the fact that they have given a splendid performance meeting the need of the era of Songun by significantly improving their artistic talents in perfect unity.
He also praised their creative style, noting that they have firmly adhered to the principle of developing the symphony in Korean style, thereby creating the Juche-based symphony loved by the people.
He set forth tasks which would serve as guidelines in further developing symphony, underscoring the need to make a graceful and rich artistic representation of the spiritual world of the people growing nobler with the advance of the times to fully meet their cultural and emotional need.
