KCNA Slashes at Japan's Intention to Play Bad Role at Six-Party Talks
Pyongyang, December 6 (KCNA) -- The international community is sincerely expecting a successful resumption of the six-party talks after an agreement was made on the resumption of the talks.
However, it is only Japan that behaves quite contrary to this.
No sooner had this agreement been made public than the Japanese government authorities vied with each other to impertinently cry out that someone should not be allowed to participate in the talks, stunning the world public.
Some time ago, Japanese Foreign Minister Aso let loose once again sophism that the six-party talks should be resumed on the premise that north Korea abandons its nuclear program and that it is natural to include the "abduction issue" in their agenda. And the head of the Japanese delegation to the six-party talks oft-repeated this nonsense after flying into Beijing for "prior consultation."
This clearly indicates that Japan will play once again a very bad role at the six-party talks slated to be resumed in future.
In this regard, we cannot but recall the negative role Japan has played at the six-party talks so far.
Backing the U.S. wrong stance, Japan has hindered a fair solution of the nuclear issue. It raised the "abduction issue" which has nothing to do with the agenda of the talks, poisoning the atmosphere of the talks.
What Japan did in the past has a thread of connection with what it is perpetrating at present.
There is no change in Japan's stand on the talks though new political forces came to power. They are getting so frantic in their moves to scuttle the talks even before their resumption. What do they seek through this?
It is not for a peaceful solution to the nuclear issue on the Korean Peninsula that Japan is so zealously joining the U.S. in its anti-DPRK campaign as its stooge and shock brigade.
It is the objective of Japan to drag on the settlement of the nuclear issue on the Korean Peninsula in a bid to find a pretext for emerging a military power and thus realize its old dream of "Greater East Asia Co-prosperity Sphere."
Japan has refused to recognize the self-defensive nature of the DPRK's missiles and nuclear weapons, preposterously claiming that its nuclear weapons pose a great "threat" to Japan's security. This is intended to accelerate the establishment of "the missile defense system" and step up its moves to go nuclear under the above-mentioned pretext.
Japan is desperately obstructing the fair solution of the nuclear issue on the peninsula in a bid to achieve such political and military aims.
It is quite obvious that Japan will do nothing but bad at the talks even if it is allowed to attend them.
No wonder, the international community is disillusioned with the unchangeable stance of Japan towards the talks.
Stop to U.S. War Exercise Demanded in S. Korea
Pyongyang, December 6 (KCNA) -- The south Korean Federation of University Student Councils in a statement reportedly issued on Dec. 1 urged the U.S. forces to stop the war exercise threatening the people's life.
The statement recalled that a fighter of the U.S. forces based in south Korea dropped a training bomb over a factory in Umsong, North Chungchong Province while being busy with a war exercise of aggression against the DPRK on Nov. 29 and thus did serious damage to it.
It is not only this time that such act was perpetrated by GIs, the statement said, adding that a great many civilians in Maehyang-ri and other parts of south Korea were reported to have died and suffered losses due to accidents that occurred during war exercises of U.S. fighters.
Not a single day passes without tension on the peninsula due to the ceaseless war exercises of the U.S. troops present in south Korea, the statement added.
Repeal of NSL Demanded in S. Korea
Pyongyang, December 6 (KCNA) -- The South Headquarters of the National Alliance for the Country's Reunification (Pomminryon) reportedly issued a statement on Dec. 1 in which it clarified its stand to firmly solidarize with the democratic forces from all walks of life in the actions for the repeal of the "National Security Law".
The statement recalled that the NSL cooked up by the pro-American dictatorial forces in south Korea has served as an instrument for inciting permanent national division and confrontation and has been used for mercilessly putting down the anti-outside forces, anti-dictatorship struggle staged by many pro-reunification patriotic figures and progressive forces.
After the publication of the June 15 joint declaration the NSL has existed in name only, the statement said, adding that the separatist forces are, however, working hard to survive counting on this evil law.
The joint declaration cannot be implemented smoothly as long as the NSL remains in force, the statement noted.
Declaration on Situation Made Public in S. Korea
Pyongyang, December 6 (KCNA) -- Personages in the fields of culture and arts including members of the Joint Cultural and Art Measure Committee of Measures for Checking the S. Korea-U.S. FTA and Ensuring Cultural Diversity reportedly held a meeting on Dec. 1 in Seoul at which they issued a declaration on the situation for checking the conclusion of FTA, opposing sanctions against the north and denouncing the railroading of the "bill on part-time jobs."
The declaration on the situation was read out at the meeting at the end of speeches.
It bitterly denounced the south Korean authorities for turning Phyongthaek into a military base of the U.S. for a war against the north, forcibly pushing ahead with the negotiations for the conclusion of FTA and railroading the "bill on part-time jobs," branding them as treacherous actions.
Accusing the U.S. of persistently imposing blockade and sanctions upon the DPRK, the declaration called on the people to mete out severe punishment to the U.S. hell-bent on the moves for aggression.
It stressed that men of culture and arts would conduct brisk art activities to protect the people's right to existence and regain sovereignty.
U.S. Decision to Sell War Planes to S. Korea Assailed
Pyongyang, December 6 (KCNA) -- The United States should discard the bad habit of acting contrary to its words and stop deliberate criminal act of aggravating the situation around the Korean Peninsula, says Minju Joson Wednesday in a signed commentary.
Referring to the U.S. decision to sell four airborne early warning and control planes to south Korea, the commentary points out that it is the U.S. crafty intention to make money through arms sale on one hand and realize its ambition for invasion of the DPRK by sacrificing south Korea on the other hand so as to kill two birds with one stone.
The U.S. seeks to inveigle the warmongers of south Korea and Japan into joint military exercises with NATO in a bid to step up its preparations for a war against the DPRK, the commentary says, and goes on:
The U.S. does not want peace on the Korean Peninsula.
It should rectify its hostile policy toward the DPRK and prove it in practice if it really wants peace on the Korean Peninsula. No matter what honeyed words it may utter before it does so, people will not believe it.
Japanese Reactionaries' Moves for Nuclear War Denounced
Pyongyang, December 6 (KCNA) -- Japan is working hard to totally nullify the provision banning "the exercise of right to collective self-defence" and calling for the observance of the "three non-nuclear principles" it has ostensively advocated. High-ranking officials of the Japanese government including Prime Minister Abe and brasshats are kicking up a racket, crying out for expanding the sphere of application of the missile defence system (MD) and asserting that Japan may allow the passage of warships carrying nukes through its territorial waters in "contingency."
The Japanese reactionaries' above-said call for the expansion of the sphere of application of MD in fact means allowing the exercise of "right to collective self-defence" and betrays their intention to secure a premise for Japan's involvement in nuclear war. Rodong Sinmun today observes this in a signed commentary.
It goes on:
In 1967 the Japanese government set forth the "three non-nuclear principles" that ban Japan from possessing, producing or allowing nuclear weapons on its territory". But it has used them as window-dressing for showcasing its "peace-loving stand" because none of those principles has been observed.
Behind the curtain of the "three non-nuclear principles", Japan has pushed forward its moves for converting it into a nuclear base and realizing its nuclear weaponization under the patronage of the U.S.
The Japanese reactionaries have become evermore undisguised in their moves to jump into nuclear war, completely discarding their oft-repeated "three non-nuclear principles." This is clearly evidenced by the Japanese reactionaries' intention to permit the passage of warships carrying nukes through the territorial waters of Japan. They seek to fish in troubled waters by allowing the passage of those warships through the territorial waters of Japan to please their master, in utter disregard of the "three non-nuclear principles".
Availing themselves of the change in the international situation and the U.S. hostile policy toward the DPRK which has reached an extreme phase, the Japanese reactionaries are zealously joining their master in the moves to launch a nuclear war in a bid to realize their wild militaristic ambition.
Japan's pursuance of the above-mentioned dangerous plan is as foolish an act as inviting a nuclear disaster by itself.

Aerial Stunt of Korea, a Great Hit
Pyongyang, December 6 (KCNA) -- Acrobatic show is going on amid the accolade of the audience at the Pyongyang Circus.
The audience gives a rapturous ovation to the aerial stunts.
Acrobats skillfully turn treble and quadruple somersault to the delight of the audience.
In an interview with KCNA, Pak Su Ok, deputy director in charge of the art of the circus, said: We can say that the aerial stunts of Korea dominate the world.
It was at the 8th World Acrobatic Championship held in the UK in November Juche 72 (1983) that the aerial stunts of Korea made their debut on the international acrobatic stage.
Then, creators and artists put on the stage the "Aerial Swing Flight" with new aerial stunt movements which no other countries could conceive, boldly breaking off the formulistic techniques.
The aerial stunt performed by six acrobats caused a great sensation among the acrobatic experts, acrobats and the audience of various countries.
After then, the aerial stunts of Korea were performed at the Monte Carlo International Acrobatic Festival and various international stages.
At the festivals, the Korean acrobats showed such high standard of technical movements as taking after quadruple backward somersault, taking after treble sideward somersault and long-distance flight.
The Pyongyang Circus created "Iron Bar Aerial Flight ", "Three-stage Trapeze Flight", "Multilateral Flying", "Somersault Flight", "Double Swing Flight" and others. They won top prizes in various international acrobatic festivals including the Wuqiao International Acrobatics and Arts Festival, Monte Carlo International Acrobatic Festival and Wuhan International Acrobatic Festival. The work "Flying Girls" has been a great hit in the international aerial acrobatics in recent years.
Kim Jong Il Inspects KPA Sub-Unit
Pyongyang, December 6 (KCNA) -- General Secretary Kim Jong Il inspected a sub-unit of KPA Unit 109 honored with the title of O Jung Hup-led 7th regiment.
He learned about the sub-unit's performance of its duty before looking round its combat technical equipment.
He set forth tasks to be undertaken to boost the combat capability of the unit, praising the servicepersons of the sub-unit for prizing their weapons of the revolution like the apples of their eyes in the same spirit of prizing weapons and taking care of them as displayed by the anti-Japanese revolutionary fighters.
Then he took deep care of the service and living of its servicepersons, going round an education room, bedroom, mess hall, wash-cum-bath house, non-staple food store, barn and other places.
Noting that it is an important work for increasing the combat capability to provide the servicepersons with good living conditions, he stressed the need for the commanding officers to put deep attention to the supply service at all times.
Only when the servicepersons read a lot of books can they deeply grasp the WPK's line and policies and acquire broad and profound knowledge about the political, economic and cultural fields, he said, underscoring the need to publish and distribute more books of various kinds.
Our society will remain invincible and there will be a sure guarantee for winning one victory after another in the battles with the enemy when the army and people help and lead each other forward, he noted.
