KCNA Blasts Japan's Sinister Moves to Scuttle Six-party Talks

    Pyongyang, February 9 (KCNA) -- The six-party talks for the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula are now underway in Beijing as already reported. Many countries of the world have expressed sympathy with the principled stand of the DPRK to fundamentally settle the nuclear issue between the DPRK and the U.S. and hoped the talks would prove fruitful substantially conducive to the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.
    Japan, however, is swimming against such trend of the international community.
    This is well proved by the remarks made by its Chief Cabinet Secretary Shiozaki.
    When interviewed on Feb. 5 he said it goes without saying that the "abduction issue" is very important for Japan and there can be no normalization of the relations between the two countries unless the "abduction issue" is settled. As if it were not enough with this, he went the lengths of blustering that Japan can not but assert this issue at the six-party talks.
    It is not hard to guess how Japan will approach the talks and what attitude it will take at the talks, judging from such reckless remarks made by a guy who professes to be a spokesman for the Japanese government.
    Explicitly speaking, the six-party talks are aimed, in name and reality, at solving the nuclear issue on the Korean Peninsula and pending issues between the U.S. and the DPRK related to it, in view of their motive, origin, purport and purpose.
    Japan, however, used to vitiate the atmosphere of the talks by persistently raising the "abduction issue" completely irrelevant to the major agenda of the talks.
    Commenting on this, China Youth News on Sept. 1, 2003 when the six-party talks have just kicked off published an article titled "The key issue of the six-party talks is the nuclear issue but Japan proposed the 'abduction issue' as a main one" in which it contended that "The scrutiny into how the talks proceeded makes it clear that Japan raised the 'abduction issue' to the DPRK, considering it as the major task of the talks, thus creating greater difficulties in the way of the six-party talks."
    It is ridiculous and disgusting, indeed, for Japan to assert that the "abduction issue" should be a main issue to be discussed at the talks and the like though it is not qualified to participate in the talks.
    The present reality goes to clearly prove that Japan is not only least interested in the settlement of the nuclear issue on the Korean Peninsula but is deliberately working hard to hamstring the work of the talks.
    What matters is why the politicians of Japan are so persistently trying to induce the six-party talks to take up the "abduction issue."
    In a word, the Abe government is also keen to use the "abduction issue" as a pretext for evading Japan's responsibility for redressing its past crimes as the preceding regimes did and stir up national chauvinism and bitterness towards the DPRK among its people in a bid to consolidate its political foundation to stay in power unchallenged through the election to the House of Councillors slated to take place in July.
    Their behavior cannot be construed otherwise than a mean political mode of political dwarfs.
    The DPRK does not care whether the Abe Cabinet stirs up scrambles among different parties and factions to stay in power.
    But it can never overlook any act of inciting confrontation with the DPRK with a hue and cry over the "abduction issue" and trying to use it for staying in power though it had already found its solution.
    The international community will never tolerate the moves of the politicians of this insular country if the six-party talks remain complicated and fail to produce substantial results due to its wrong doings.

S. Korean CBS's False Report on DPRK Refuted

   Pyongyang, February 9 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Fatherland gave the following answer to a question put by KCNA Friday over the false report about the DPRK released by the south Korean CBS: The CBS reported recently that the authorities of the north are now all out to arrest "prisoners" whom it claimed succeeded in a group escape from a detention center in Hwasong County, North Hamgyong Province late last year.
    Explicitly speaking, it is a sheer lie and fabrication.
    It is not the first time that it released such false reports on the DPRK.
    The U.S. and the right-wing conservative forces in south Korea are working with bloodshot eyes to tarnish the image of the DPRK which is wining victory after victory. Their anti-DPRK smear campaign has become all the more undisguised since its successful nuclear test, in particular. The south Korean conservative media are also joining in this campaign, spreading all kinds of misinformation. The recent false propaganda was part of the campaign.
    As a matter of fact, the DPRK's prestige has risen to its zenith and the public inside and outside Korea has become more vocal in supporting and praising its Songun policy since its access to nukes. The anti-DPRK smear campaign more desperately intensified by the U.S. and the south Korean ultra-right conservative forces is, therefore, nothing but a foolish move to stem this trend and destabilize it, much upset by the above-said development.
    The U.S. has increased outlay for anti-DPRK psychological warfare from a budget for this year and its State Department blustered that it would drastically increase budget for "Voice of America" and "Voice of Free Asia" in a bid to step up the "democratization of the north through radio broadcasting."
    The south Korean authorities, too, are joining the U.S. and the "Grand National Party" in their anti-DPRK smear campaign by increasing the relevant budget and intensifying psychological offensive, talking about "aid to north Korean defectors" and "improvement of human rights record in the north."
    Such dastardly farce will get them nowhere but only touch off bitterer indignation among all the Koreans.
    The above-said south Korean media should stop such shameful act as working as a trumpeter in the anti-DPRK smear campaign launched by anti-reunification forces. The CBS should apologize for its false report on the DPRK and take a measure against the recurrence of any similar case.
    The U.S. and the ultra-right conservatives in south Korea should stop such foolish and clumsy farce, bearing deep in mind that their evermore desperate anti-DPRK smear campaign would only bring their despicable colors into bolder relief and adversely affect the nation's efforts for the detente on the Korean Peninsula and the improvement of the inter-Korean relations. They will be held wholly accountable for all the ensuing consequences.

Cambodian Party Leader on Relations with DPRK

    Pyongyang, February 9 (KCNA) -- We are sure that the traditional relations of friendship between the Funcinpec Party of Cambodia and the Workers' Party of Korea, the Cambodian people and the Korean people would continue to develop on good terms in the future, too, Keoputh Rasmey, chairman of the Funcinpec Party, said this when meeting Choe Han Chun, DPRK ambassador to Cambodia, who paid a farewell call on him on Feb. 2. He said that the long-standing relations of friendship between the Cambodian and the Korean peoples provided by Great King Norodom Sihanouk and President Kim Il Sung have developed amid the interest of the peoples of the two countries over the last several decades.
    He went on to say:
    The support and encouragement extended by Kim Il Sung to Norodom Sihanouk in his efforts to achieve the cause of national reconciliation and peace in Cambodia is recognized not only by the Cambodian people but by other peoples of the world.
    We praise the Korean people for having heroically stood up against the arbitrary practices of the U.S. imperialists, single-mindedly united under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Il, and hope that peace will be preserved on the Korean Peninsula in their fundamental interest.
    The Funcinpec Party and the royal government of Cambodia will always support the just policy of the WPK and the DPRK government to defend the sovereignty of the country and achieve reunification.

Korean People's Greatest Holidays to Be Commemorated in Ethiopia

    Pyongyang, February 9 (KCNA) -- An Ethiopian preparatory committee was inaugurated in Addis Ababa on February 2 to commemorate the Day of the Sun and February 16. Tatek Kassa, chairman of the Addis Ababa Youth Association of Ethiopia, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee.
    The committee decided to set a commemoration period from Feb. 2 to Apr. 20 and hold colorful events including a seminar, a lecture, a reading session, a film show and a photo exhibition during that period.

Iranian Diplomats Visit Korean Central History Museum

    Pyongyang, February 9 (KCNA) -- Jalaleddin Namini Mianji, Iranian ambassador to the DPRK, and staff members of the embassy visited the Korean Central History Museum on Thursday on the occasion of the 28th anniversary of the victory in the Islamic revolution of Iran. Hearing the explanation that the Koreans lived in the same territory, creating their common culture, and struggled against aggression, they went round historic relics dating back to the period from primitive ages to middle ages.

Reception Given by Syrian Charge d'Affaires A.I.

    Pyongyang, February 9 (KCNA) -- Muhammad Adib Al Hani, charge d'affaires ad interim of the Syrian embassy here, gave a reception at the Taedonggang Club for the Diplomatic Corps on Thursday on the occasion of the birthday of Kim Jong Il. Present on invitation were Choe Thae Bok, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Rim Kyong Man, minister of Foreign Trade, Mun Jae Chol, acting chairman of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries, and officials concerned.

    The Korean people are extending full support and solidarity to the Syrian people in their struggle to find a fair and comprehensive solution to the Mideast issue under the leadership of the Baath Arab Socialist Party headed by Bashar Al-Assad, he said, adding that the Korean people will strive hard to boost the relations with Syria in all fields.

Kim Jong Il's Songun Revolutionary Leadership Feats Praised

    Pyongyang, February 9 (KCNA) -- A national seminar on the undying Songun revolutionary leadership feats performed by Kim Jong Il was held at the People's Palace of Culture on Thursday. Six papers were presented there.
    Candidate Academician, Prof. and Dr. Thae Hyong Chol, president of the Academy of Social Sciences, said that Kim Jong Il propounded the idea of building a great prosperous powerful nation on the basis of the great exploits performed by President Kim Il Sung in the nation-building and defined the revolutionary principle of Songun which calls for relying on the People's Army and its revolutionary spirit as the fundamental principle for building a great prosperous powerful nation, thus indicating the basic ways to dynamically push forward the building of the above-said nation.

    Prof. and Dr. Pak Son Ho, president of University of National Economics, pointed out that Kim Jong Il, with a profound insight into the requirement for accomplishing the cause of socialism and the specific conditions of the DPRK, laid it down as the strategic line of economic construction in the Songun era to give priority to the development of the national defence industry and, at the same time, develop the light industry and agriculture simultaneously and provided his dynamic on-the-spot guidance to various domains of the national economy, thereby bringing about a great leap forward and innovations.
    Prof. and Dr. Ri Jong Hyok, director of the National Reunification Institute, referred to the fact that Kim Jong Il clearly indicated the orientation and ways of accomplishing the cause of national reunification as early as possible, firmly united all the Koreans, guided by the idea of "By our nation itself" and powerfully aroused them to the reunification movement, thus opening an epochal phase for national reunification.
    Kim Kwang Yon, chief secretary of the Party Committee of the Secretariat of the Cabinet, stressed that the struggle to build a great prosperous powerful nation is difficult and complicated but the army and people of the DPRK can pull through any difficulties and ordeals and certainly build a rich and powerful country on this land as long as there is the Songun leadership of Kim Jong Il.
    Present at the seminar were Choe Thae Bok, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials of party and administrative bodies and working people's organizations at the national institutions and in Pyongyang and officials of educational and scientific institutions, Party cadre training institutions and fields of literature and art, media and in the field of preserving revolutionary relics.

Joint Student Actions for Settlement of Issue of Registration Fee in S. Korea

    Pyongyang, February 9 (KCNA) -- Students from across south Korea reportedly waged a joint struggle to settle the issue of the registration fee on Feb. 2. A ceremony of inaugurating the "National Students Measure Committee for Education" was held in Seoul on the same day.
    Speakers at the ceremony accused the political camp of refusing to take any measure in this respect though the hike of the registration fee has long presented itself as a social problem.
    At the end of the ceremony at least 500 students staged the first joint action of students across south Korea.
    The participants at a meeting held in front of the Myongdong Cathedral declared that they would stage the second joint action on March 30, adding that three million students would struggle in unity for the settlement of the educational issue.

Special Resolution Released in S. Korea

    Pyongyang, February 9 (KCNA) -- The Solidarity for Implementing the South-North Joint Declaration in south Korea reportedly held a meeting of its 5th-term deputies on Feb. 4 at which it released a special resolution titled "Let us open a decisive phase for national reunification in 2007 by attaching importance to the nation, defending peace and achieving unity". The resolution recalled that the joint statement of the political parties, government and organizations in the north set this year as a "year of attaching importance to the nation, defending peace and achieving unity" and ardently called on all the fellow countrymen in the south and the north and abroad to turn out in the struggle to do so.
    It stressed that the solidarity would wage a dynamic struggle to carry out the tasks for attaching importance to the nation, defending peace and achieving unity as they are very just ones reflecting the aspiration and wishes of all the fellow countrymen for the peaceful reunification of the country.

Stop to Expansion of U.S. Military Base Demanded in S. Korea

    Pyongyang, February 9 (KCNA) -- The All-People Measure Committee for Checking the Expansion of the U.S. Military Base in Phyongthaek, the People for Achieving Peace and Reunification, the South Headquarters of the National Alliance for the Country's Reunification and other civic and public organizations in south Korea reportedly held a press conference in front of the building of the "Ministry of National Defense" on Feb. 2 and demanded a stop to the illegal moves to expand the U.S. military base in Phyongthaek. The press release read out at the press conference recalled the recent disclosure of the outburst of the commander of the U.S. forces in south Korea made on Jan. 18 that 50 percent of the defense burden share was needed for the transfer of the U.S. Second Division to Phyongthaek.
    This means that the cost of the relocation of the U.S. Second Division which is to be borne by the U.S. will be covered out of the budget of the south Korean "government," it said, branding the expansion of the U.S. military base in Phyongthaek as illegal.
    It bitterly denounced the sycophantic and treacherous act of the "government" to pay the relocation cost under the name of the share of the burden for the upkeep of the U.S. forces by deceiving the people.

End to U.S. Forces' Presence in S. Korea Urged

    Pyongyang, February 9 (KCNA) -- The Korean nation can no longer allow the U.S. imperialist aggression forces' presence in south Korea to continue and now is the time for it to put a definite end to the criminal Korea policy of the U.S., says Rodong Sinmun Friday in a signed article. Stressing that it is an unavoidable demand of the times and national history, the article goes on:
    The occupation of south Korea by the U.S. imperialist forces is a direct product of the U.S. Korea policy of domination and aggression. The U.S. ambition of this nature finds intensive manifestation in its desperate obstruction to the reunification of the Korean nation.
    The U.S. will be left with no pretext to stay in south Korea when the north and the south of Korea get reconciled and united and achieve national reunification. The U.S. does not want this. It is for this reason that whenever there crops up an atmosphere of reconciliation and unity between the north and the south the U.S. chills it either by faking up a shocking case or by inciting confrontation and war hysteria through war exercises and thus leading the situation to the extreme pitch of strain.
    The Korean nation is craving for peace and reunification of the country so earnestly and making painstaking efforts to achieve them only to suffer a failure, running up against an ordeal and snag in every step. The U.S. is to blame for this. The Korean nation will continue to come across stumbling blocks and impasse in its way to reunification as long as the U.S. occupation of south Korea and its moves to keep Korea divided continue.
    The pullback of the U.S. troops from south Korea is also what is strongly demanded by the south Koreans themselves, who have experienced all sorts of national disgrace and misfortune generation after generation.
    A prompt end must be put to the history of the U.S. occupation of south Korea and the policy of dominating Korea pursued by it which has persistently hindered Korea's reunification, seriously violated peace on this land and inflicted bitter pain and death upon the south Koreans after dividing the Korean Peninsula into the north and the south.

SOFA Branded as Slavery Document of Modern Version

    Pyongyang, February 9 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the North Headquarters of the Nationwide Special Committee for Probing the Truth behind the GIs' Crimes issued a statement Thursday on the lapse of 40 years since the U.S.-south Korea "Status of Forces Agreement" (SOFA) took effect. The SOFA faked up by the pro-U.S. flunkeyist traitors under the U.S. pressure is a slavery document of modern version which legalizes the U.S. forces' occupation of south Korea and guarantees the GIs' crimes by law, the statement says, and goes on:
    The long list of crimes including murder, assaults and looting committed by soldiers of the U.S. imperialist aggression forces over the past four decades run into more than 100,000 cases. However, none of them was punished by law, but they are riding high and mighty on their high horses.
    It is national shame and tragedy that such unequal document as SOFA still remains in south Korea although the world has entered the 21st century. The south Korean people should launch into a vehement struggle to get all the humiliating "agreements" and "treaties" signed with the U.S. scrapped and drive the U.S. imperialist aggression forces, the root cause of misfortune and disasters, out of south Korea.
    And they should bring the sledgehammer down on the heads of the traitors to the nation like the cohorts of the Grand National Party of south Korea who have left indelible disgrace on the nation, bringing unspeakable misfortunes and pains to the people, after reducing south Korea to a land where GIs boss it around by forging the treacherous SOFA.

    Pyongyang, February 9 (KCNA) -- The working people of the light industrial factories throughout the country have turned out in the efforts to implement the call of the joint New Year editorial for decisively improving the production of consumer goods. New Schoolchildren's Palace under Construction in DPRK

    Pyongyang, February 9 (KCNA) -- The construction of a schoolchildren's palace is progressing apace in Phyongsong City, South Phyongan Province. The palace, a Korean-style building, will have a theatre, gymnasium, swimming pool, various circle rooms and training rooms and be furnished with adequate welfare service facilities.
    There are a hundred and scores of schoolchildren's palaces and halls across the country where the children are regarded as king.

Repeal of S. Korea-U.S. SOFA Urged

    Pyongyang, February 9 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front made public a statement on Thursday 40 years after the unequal south Korea-U.S. "Status of Forces Agreement" (SOFA) took effect, according to the Internet site "Kuguk Jonson." The statement says:
    The SOFA, which was concluded in July of 1966 by the U.S. and pro-U.S. sycophantic traitors in south Korea and took effect on February 9, 1967, is a slavery document of modern version which legalizes the U.S. military occupation of south Korea and gives Yankee murderers unlimited privilege of extraterritorial rights.
    It is a shame of our people and national tragedy that there exists such traitorous document as SOFA even in the 21st century when the people are aspiring after independence, the June 15 era of reunification in which all the Korean people are pooling their efforts to achieve reunification of the country. The people from all walks of life should more dynamically conduct the struggle to get the humiliating SOFA repealed and drive the U.S. imperialist aggressor troops out of south Korea. For the present, they should intensify the mass struggles against the U.S. in different parts of south Korea, including the struggle against the expansion of the U.S. military base in Phyongthaek.
    They should also vigorously wage the struggle to eliminate the pro-American conservative forces including the "Grand National Party" who seek to grab power and let the U.S. imperialist aggressor troops stay in south Korea forever, bringing all disgrace and misfortune to the Korean people.

S. Korean People's Actions against FTA Supported

   Pyongyang, February 9 (KCNA) -- The Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea extends full support and encouragement to the people from all walks of life across south Korea in their recent strong actions against the conclusion of the south Korea-U.S. "Free Trade Agreement" (FTA), considering them as the most righteous and just patriotic ones for the sovereignty and vital rights of the Korean nation. A spokesman for its Central Committee says this in a statement Friday.
    It goes on:
    The FTA the U.S. is pressurizing south Korea to sign is nothing but an "agreement" and document inviting a national ruin and treachery as it is aimed at deepening the former's domination and subjugation of the latter and putting the living of peasants and other people to destitution.
    The reality goes to prove that the U.S. is the most brazen-faced aggressor and plunderer in the world.

Kim Jong Il dirige la Planta Hidroelectrica No. 1 de Orangchon

   Pyongyang, 9 de febrero (ATCC) -- El Dirigente Kim Jong Il, Secretario General del Partido del Trabajo de Corea y Presidente del Comite de Defensa Nacional de la Republica Popular Democratica de Corea, dirigio sobre el terreno la Planta Hidroelectrica No. 1 de Orangchon y el Criadero de Peces del lago Jangyon, construidos nuevamente. Ante todo, el Dirigente hizo una visita de orientacion sobre la planta electrica.
    Al recorrer las cabinas de generador electrico y de distribucion de electricidad, hizo conocimientos detallados del estado de construccion y de produccion electrica.
    Esta central hidroelectrica, que produce gran cantidad de electricidad con el agua de Orangchon, esta disenada racionalmente y se construyo en un alto nivel cualitativo, dijo y se mostro muy satisfecho de esta moderna obra terminada por los habitantes de la provincia de Hamgyong del Norte.
    Senalo que vale la pena jactarnos de esta magnifica planta edificada por los constructores aun en el periodo de serias dificultades economicas.
    Es el mejor metodo conveniente al principio de rentabilidad el hecho de que se inauguro con anticipacion esta planta hidroelectrica para elevar la eficiencia de inversion en la misma, apunto.
    El Dirigente indico las tareas que se presentan en la administracion de la planta y la utilizacion eficiente de la electricidad producida aqui.
    Acto seguido, el Dirigente recorrio el campo de construccion del dique de Orangchon.
    Al ver el gigante dique que crece alto atravesando la hondonada, se entero de la marcha de esta obra.
    Destaco que los miembros de la brigada juvenil y otros constructores deben seguir dando acicate a su trabajo con el mismo impetu con que construyeron en un corto tiempo la planta hidroelectrica no. 1 para terminar anticipadamente lo restante de la obra.
    En los ultimos anos, aun bajo dificiles condiciones, hemos construido por doquier numerosas plantas de gran potencia registrando un subito crecimiento en la generacion electrica, recordo y apunto que este orgulloso cambio comprueba la justeza y vitalidad de la politica del PTC consistente en construir en gran medida las plantas hidroelectricas de mediano y pequeno tamanos junto con las de gran dimension.
    Para cubrir en lo suficiente la demanda de energia electrica que crece bruscamente en dicha provincia, hay que lograr el maximo rendimiento de las plantas existentes y, al mismo tiempo, construir mas centrales hidroelectricas al buscar y explotar todos los recursos hidraulicos latentes.
    El Dirigente dirigio luego el Criadero de Peces del lago Jangyon.
    Al recorrer varios lugares incluyendo el estanque de cria y la sala de incubacion, hizo conocimiento detallado de la crianza de peces.
    El Dirigente presento las tareas programaticas que sirven de guia para desplegarla ampliamente como movimiento masivo.
    Durante su orientacion sobre la provincia, el Dirigente indico las tareas que se presentan para elevar a un nivel mas alto la gestion economica de la misma.
    En esta provincia hay muchas empresas de ramas claves de la economia nacional, a saber, de la industria metalurgica y la extractiva y, por eso, ocupa un lugar muy importante en el desarrollo economico del pais, recalco e instruyo que esta localidad debe jugar el rol de vanguardia en la construccion de una potencia economica.
    Le acompanaron el secretario responsable del Comite del PTC en la provincia de Hamgyong del Norte, Hong Sok Hyong, el secretario y el jefe de departamento del CC del PTC, Kim Ki Nam y Pak Nam Gi, respectivamente.

Kim Jong Il dirige fabrica de alimentos basicos y central Kunmin

   Pyongyang, 9 de febrero (ATCC) -- El Dirigente Kim Jong Il, Secretario General del Partido del Trabajo de Corea y Presidente del Comite de Defensa Nacional de la Republica Popular Democratica de Corea, dirigio sobre el terreno la Fabrica de Alimentos Basicos de Chongjin y la recien construida Central Hidroelectrica Kunmin. Ante todo, el Dirigente visito la Fabrica de Alimentos Basicos de Chongjin.
    Se dio cuenta del estado de reconstruccion y produccion recorriendo los procesos productivos.
    Al ver diversos alimentos basicos producidos a granel que avienen al paladar del pueblo coreano, se puso muy contento de esta magnifica planta que contribuiria enormemente a la vida alimentaria del pueblo.
    Senalo la necesidad de normalizar la produccion en un alto nivel para hacer aporte substancial a la vida del pueblo.
    En los ultimos anos, se han construido muchas fabricas modernas de alimentos basicos que aportan grandes beneficios, recordo y dijo que cuando se pongan en pleno funcionamiento las fabricas ya construidas y termine la construccion planificada de las plantas similares, se registrara un viraje trascendental en la vida alimentaria del pueblo.
    La clave para normalizar la produccion de alimentos basicos es resolver satisfactoriamente el problema de materias primas, indico y subrayo que para este fin, se debe organizar minuciosamente la creacion de firmes bases de materias primas en las granjas cooperativas, producirlas y suministrarlas a tiempo motivando el entusiasmo de los granjeros.
    Subrayo que es importante elevar la calidad de los alimentos basicos, porque son inseparables de la vida del pueblo.
    @Hay que profundizar la investigacion sobre esta rama, asegurar la unificacion de indices tecnicos y realizar en un nivel alto la automatizacion de procesos productivos, concluyo.
    @Luego, el Dirigente dirigio sobre el terreno la nueva Central Hidroelectrica Kunmin.
    Tras escuchar las explicaciones ante el panorama de la planta, recorrio los compartimientos de generadores electricos y de distribucion electrica y otros varios lugares cerciorandose en detalles del estado de construccion y generacion electrica.
    Muy contento de esta moderna planta construida magnificamente a tono de la epoca del Songun, senalo que el termino de esta obra en un corto plazo es un fruto valioso de la infinita fidelidad a la revolucion y del ardiente patriotismo de los constructores y los ayudantes voluntarios y evaluo de altos sus meritos.
    Subrayo la necesidad de mejorar la administracion tecnica y de equipos para poner la planta en pleno funcionamiento e indico las tareas que surgen para el respecto.
    Le acompanaron Hong Sok Hyong, secretario responsable del comite del PTC en la Provincia de Hamgyong del Norte, Kim Ki Nam y Pak Nam Gi, secretario y jefe de departamento del CC del PTC, respectivamente.

ATCC comenta intento de Japon de abortar la cita a 6 bandas

    Pyongyang, 9 de febrero (ATCC) -- Como ya trascendidos, en estos dias se celebran en Beijing, China, las conversaciones a 6 partes con miras a desnuclearizar la Peninsula Coreana. Numerosos paises del orbe expresan su consentimiento con la posicion de principios de la Republica Popular Democratica de Corea de resolver radicalmente el problema nuclear con Estados Unidos y desean que esta ronda resulte un dialogo fructifero que contribuya efectivamente a la desnuclearizacion de la Peninsula Coreana.
    Pero, Japon desafia a tal aspiracion de la sociedad internacional.
    En una rueda de prensa concedida el dia 5, el director del secretariado del gabinete de Japon, Shiozaki, dijo que "no tiene otro remedio que plantear el 'problema del secuestro' en la mesa de la cita a 6 bandas" tras hablar de que "es indudable que el mismo significa para Japon un asunto de capital importancia" y "mientras este siga pendiente, nunca se puede establecer las relaciones diplomaticas con la RPDC".
    Estos disparates de este portavoz gubernamental de Japon obligan a nuestro pais preocuparse de las conversaciones seis-partitas actualmente en marcha y permiten conjeturar cual posicion adoptaria el pais isleno en este encuentro.
    Esta cita fue motivada e iniciada evidentemente para resolver el problema nuclear de la Peninsula Coreana y los otros asuntos pendientes con EE.UU. relativos al primero.
    Sin embargo, anteriormente, el pais-isla enveneno el clima de conversaciones al insistir obstinadamente en el "problema del secuestro", enajenado de la agenda principal.
    Al respecto, ya en el periodo inicial de la cita a 6 bandas, la "Noticia de la juventud" de China publico en su edicion del primero de septiembre de 2003 un articulo intitulado "Aunque el punto clave de las conversaciones a 6 bandas es el problema nuclear, Japon tomo el 'problema del secuestro' por su tema principal".
    El rotativo chino desenmascaro que "si uno observa el proceso del dialogo, podra saber que Japon lo entorpecio al plantear a la RPDC el 'problema del secuestro'".
    Resulta sumamente ridiculo que este pais, que ni siquiera tiene la calificacion de participar en la cita, siguiera objetando hasta ahora la agenda principal.
    La realidad demuestra que Japon no esta interesado en nada en la solucion del problema nuclear de la Peninsula Coreana y para colmo, trata de obstaculizar malintencionadamente el dialogo.
    Entonces, ?por que los actuales politicos japoneses estaran cuestionando tanto ese tema en esas conversaciones?
    Es porque al igual que en el pasado, el actual gobierno de Abe pretende eludir la liquidacion de sus crimenes del pasado y ganar mas terrenos politicos necesarios a monopolizar el poder en las elecciones de senadores previstas para julio al inculcar entre los habitantes japoneses el sentimiento de confrontacion con la nacion coreana y hostilidad a la RPDC.
    Se puede decir que esas tentativas tan simples son propio modo politico de esos politicos enanos.
    A la RPDC no le importa que el gabinete de Abe promueva la pugna partidista o fraccionalista para mantenerse en el poder.
    Sin embargo, no dejara de cuestionar si lo hace malempleando el ya resulto 'problema del secuestro' para promover la confrontacion con la RPDC.
    En particular, la sociedad internacional nunca perdonara a los politiqueros nipones si debido a las maniobras perversas de estos, surgen complicaciones en la cita a 6 bandas, que la hagan infructifera.

Jonminthukwi ratifica su rechazo al "convenio de administracion"

   Pyongyang, 9 de febrero (ATCC) -- El "convenio de administracion" Sur de Corea-Estados Unidos inventado por la coercion del segundo y la sumision de los vendepatrias proyanquis del primero es un documento esclavista de cuno moderno que legaliza la ocupacion del suelo surcoreano por las tropas norteamericanas y garantiza juridicamente la impunidad de los actos criminales de estas. Asi senala el portavoz de la direccion nortena del Comite Pannacional de Averiguacion Especial para Esclarecer Verdaderos Aspectos de Crimenes de Tropas Norteamericanas (Jonminthukwi) en una declaracion publicada el dia 8 en ocasion del 40o aniversario de la entrada en vigor de ese protocolo y continua:
    Durante los 40 anos pasados, las tropas agresoras norteamericanas perpetraron mas de 100 mil actos criminales como el asesinato, la agresion fisica y el saqueo. Pero, estos criminales nunca fueron castigados y, al contrario, se portan cada dia mas arrogantes y altaneros.
    Es una verguenza y tragedia nacional la misma existencia en el Sur de Corea de ese leonino "convenio" hasta en el actual siglo XXI.
    Los habitantes surcoreanos deben levantarse activamente en la lucha por invalidar todos los "convenios" y "tratados" humillantes concertados con EE.UU. y expulsar a las tropas agresoras norteamericanas del Sur de Corea, que son la fuente de desgracias y desastres.
    Ademas, tienen que castigar duro al "Gran Partido Nacional" y otras bandas vendepatrias y traidoras a la nacion que al fraguar tales documentos leoninos, convirtio el Sur de Corea en un mundo donde se pasean libremente los agresores yanquis y dejo imborrable afrenta nacional infligiendoles a los habitantes incontables desgracias y sufrimientos.
