Japanese Prime Minister's Reckless Remarks Accused
Pyongyang, March 11 (KCNA) -- The reckless remarks made by Abe openly denying the coercive recruitment of the "comfort women" for the imperial Japanese army are nothing but a crafty and shameful attempt to conceal the Japanese imperialists' crimes against humanity and evade state responsibility for the crimes, an unbearable mockery of the victims of the crimes and their bereaved families and an unpardonable challenge to all the Koreans and other members of the international community urging Japan to make an apology and compensation for them. A spokesman for the Central Committee of the Democratic Front for the Reunification of the Fatherland declared this in a statement issued on Sunday.
His outbursts are nothing but vituperation intended to justify Japan's past crimes and accelerate militarization for reinvasion and most insolent remarks making a mockery of justice and human conscience, the statement noted, and went on:
Now the whole world is condemning Japan's above-said crimes as the worst flesh traffic in the 20th century and the most hideous sexual slavery unprecedented in history.
The prime minister of a country dared again deny the sexual slavery. This clearly indicates how vulgar and shameful the Japanese reactionaries are.
This being a hard reality, Japan dares make a bid for permanent membership of the UN Security Council and pull up the dignified DPRK. Can there be any more hateful and cursed country of brutes than it?
Japan coerced hundreds of thousands of Korean women into providing sex to the imperial Japanese army and hurled millions of young and middle-aged Koreans into battle fields and slave labor sites, killing many of them. It is nonsensical, therefore, for the descendents of Samurais to talk about someone's "abduction" and the like.
All the Korean people should not pardon this spate of remarks made by the Japanese reactionaries but roundly expose the crimes committed by Japan against the Korean nation and force it to pay for all its wrongdoings.
June 15 All-Korean Committee Meets in China
Pyongyang, March 10 (KCNA) -- A meeting of the June 15 All-Korean Committee was held in Shenyang of China on Mar. 8 and 9.
Present at the meeting were a delegation of the North Side Committee for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration headed by its Chairman An Kyong Ho, a delegation of the South Side Committee for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration headed by its Chairman Paek Rak Chong and a delegation of the Overseas Side Committee for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration led by its Co-Chairmen Kwak Tong Ui and Mun Tong Hwan.
The meeting referred to the fact that the committee advanced the movement for independent reunification last year and sincerely discussed measures for conducting the reunification movement on the principle of attaching priority to national dignity and interests under the banner of the June 15 joint declaration and waging a more dynamic movement for freeing the country from all war threats and creating a peaceful environment for national reunification this year.
It underscored the need for the north, the south and the overseas sides to hold the national joint event to mark the seventh anniversary of the publication of the June 15 joint declaration in Pyongyang and August 15 event for reunification in the south side's area and give further momentum to the solidarity movement involving organizations of people in different fields and circles, hold multifarious functions for reunification to be attended by people from all walks of life in the places to be agreed upon and wage a positive movement to set June 15, the historic day the joint declaration was published, as a commemoration day common to the nation on the basis of the shared understanding that the June 15 joint declaration serves as a milestone in the reunification movement this year, too, as they did in the last year.
A special statement in the name of the June 15 All-Korean Committee was adopted at the meeting to denounce the Japanese authorities' brutal suppression of Koreans in Japan and their militarist ambition.
It urged the Japanese government to drop its hostile policy towards the DPRK, opt for building a peace-keeping mechanism in Northeast Asia and immediately stop its brutal suppression of Koreans in Japan, a primitive crime.

Congratulatory Events Held in Italy
Pyongyang, March 11 (KCNA) -- A meeting and a study contest were held in Italy on Mar. 3 to congratulate Kim Jong Il upon receiving the "International Kim Il Sung Prize."
Displayed in the venues of the events were Kim Jong Il's famous works and books introducing his undying Songun revolutionary leadership feats.
Present there were figures and people from all walks of life.
Miriam Pelegrini Feri, president of the Group of Dialectical Materialists of Italy, in her speech at the meeting said that Kim Jong Il was awarded the "International Kim Il Sung Prize" for the great feats he has performed on behalf of the history of human thoughts by developing in depth the Juche idea founded by President Kim Il Sung and his immortal contributions to accomplishing the noble cause of defending global peace and security and achieving the independent development of humankind.

Japanese Prime Minister's Reckless Remarks under Fire in S. Korea
Pyongyang, March 11 (KCNA) -- The south Korean political circles have accused the Japanese prime minister of letting loose a spate of reckless remarks intended to evade the responsibility for the past sexual slavery, according to the south Korean MBC and CBS.
Recalling that Abe let loose outbursts that there is no evidence proving the coercive recruitment of the "comfort women" for the imperial Japanese army, the "lawmakers' society for national spirit" in its statement on Mar. 3 declared he can neither play down nor conceal the Japanese imperialists' crimes related to the "comfort women" just as he cannot get the sun eclipsed by his palms.
On the same day, the spokesperson for the "Uri Party" lambasted the Japanese prime minister for making insolent remarks, instead of honestly repenting of the crimes.
The spokesman for the "Democratic Party" asserted that there is no future for Japan as it does not sincerely reflect on its past wrongdoings.
Lawmakers affiliated to the "reformists' society of the Uri Party" at a press conference on Mar. 6 charged that Japan had better sincerely apologize for the wrongs it committed in the past and make practical efforts for the world peace.
Meanwhile, the "Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade" noted in its commentary on Mar. 3 that Abe's reckless remarks are aimed to twist the historical truth, demanding Japan have a correct understanding of its history.
Japanese Imperialists' Suppression of Struggle for National Liberation Disclosed
Pyongyang, March 11 (KCNA) -- After illegally occupying Korea the Japanese imperialists revised the penalty rules of the "Maintenance of the Public Order Act", Japan's fascist domestic law, to make it better serve the purpose of their fascist colonial rule over Korea and, on this basis, enacted various special criminal laws such as the "Law on the Supervision over Korean Political Criminals for Public Peace" and the "Law on the Preventive Detention of Korean Political Criminals," mercilessly cracking down upon Koreans' anti-Japanese national liberation struggle. Japan applied the "Maintenance of the Public Order Act" to suppressing the national liberation struggle in other country. This was an unjustifiable criminal act in view of international law.
It is a publicly accepted principle governing the international relations to disallow any measure and action to be taken to suppress and restrict by force of arms the right of each country and nation to sovereignty and independence.
The indelible crimes the Japanese imperialists committed against the Korean people by faking up and enforcing such fascist laws as the above-said act can never be tolerated no matter how often an old generation is replaced by a new one.
Nevertheless, the Japanese reactionaries have added to their crimes up to this date since the defeat of the Japanese imperialists, far from making any apology and compensation to the Korean people.

Their suppression of Chongryon has become unprecedented since the outset of this year.
This is a wanton violation of international law and inhumane and fascist brutality. Their reckless suppression and terrorism against Chongryon and Koreans in Japan are a repetition of the Japanese imperialists' brutal crackdown upon the Korean people's anti-Japanese national liberation struggle and little short of committing double or treble crimes against the Korean people.

Japanese Government Urged to Make Apology and Compensation
Pyongyang, March 11 (KCNA) -- Members of women's organizations including the Women's Solidarity of south Korea and victims of the "comfort women" for the imperial Japanese army reportedly held the 751st Wednesday meeting in front of the Japanese embassy in Seoul on March 7 to rap the reckless remarks made by the Japanese prime minister.
Attendants of the meeting expressed their anger at Japanese Prime Minister Abe for unhesitatingly asserting recently that there is no evidence proving the forcible recruitment of "comfort women," Japan cannot be responsible for the crimes and the like.

Kim Jong Il's Work Published in Italy
Pyongyang, March 10 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Il's famous work "Let Us Carry Out the Great Leader Comrade Kim Il Sung's Instructions for National Reunification" was brought out in booklet by a printing house of Italy on Feb. 16.
The work, published on August 4, Juche 86 (1997), deals with the undying feats President Kim Il Sung performed for the cause of national reunification, formulates the three principles of national reunification, the proposal for founding the Democratic Federal Republic of Koryo and the ten-point programme for the great unity of the whole nation as the three charters for national reunification and clarifies the tasks and ways for achieving the cause of Korea's reunification based on them.
Asian Regional Seminar Held in Sri Lanka
Pyongyang, March 10 (KCNA) -- The Asian regional seminar on self-reliance, national economy and the cause of independence was held in Colombo on Feb. 27.
It was attended by the director general and the secretary general of the Asian Regional Institute of the Juche Idea and others.
The delegation of the Korean Social Scientists Society was on hand.
W. A. Pyongyang, March 10 (KCNA) -- A letter to Kim Jong Il was adopted at the joint seminar of Juche idea study groups in Uganda which was held in Kampala on Feb. 14 on the occasion of the February holiday.
The letter said that at the seminar the members of the Ugandan National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea had an in-depth discussion on the contents of the philosophical principle of the Juche idea, the originality of the Juche philosophy and the like, as well as the great feats performed by Kim Jong Il.

Actions against Humiliating Agreement Called for in S. Korea
Pyongyang, March 10 (KCNA) -- Representatives of political parties and civic and social organizations in south Korea reportedly called a joint press conference in front of the building of the "National Assembly" on Mar. 5 to protest against the handling of the special agreement on sharing the funds for the upkeep of the U.S. forces in south Korea.
Speeches were made at the press conference to be followed by the reading of a declaration opposing the NA's ratification of the special agreement signed by 1,325 figures from various circles.
Recalling that the "Committee of Unification, Foreign Affairs and Trade of the NA" brought the special agreement for discussion at the session of the NA after passing it on Mar. 2, the declaration warned that the NA would commit an indelible crime against the people if it is carried by its session.
The NA would be well advised to refuse to ratify the special agreement and adopt a resolution demanding the "government" renegotiate it with the U.S. though belatedly, it held.

Preparations for WWIHC Completed in DPRK
Pyongyang, March 10 (KCNA) -- Full preparations for the 2007 World Women's Ice Hockey Championships (B Class) to be opened in the DPRK on March 17 have been completed.
Kim Kang Chol, vice secretary of the Korean Ice Hockey Association (KIHA) said this in an interview with KCNA. He went on to say:
It was decided at the annual general meeting of the International Ice Hockey Federation for 2005-2006 held last year that the DPRK will host the championships in Pyongyang.
After then, the KIHA has made full preparation to host the championships successfully under the great care of the government and with its positive help.
We, first of all, checked all the game and training facilities and arranged and supplemented them with new ones in accordance with the technical requirements of international ice hockey ground.
The waiting rooms of players, medical section room, rooms for coaches and referees, physical training ground and subsidiary and training facilities are furnished at a high level.
Attention is being directed to providing every convenience to members and officials of the International Ice Hockey Federation and ice hockey teams so that they may spend pleasant days in Pyongyang.
The IIHF delegate had visited the DPRK some time ago to acquaint himself with the preparation for the championships. After looking round all the objects including the Ice Rink, he expressed satisfaction over the wonderful preparation and was grateful to officials concerned.
S. Korean Delegation Leaves
Pyongyang, March 10 (KCNA) -- The delegation of the Committee for Peace in Northeast Asia of the Uri Party of south Korea led by Chairman Ri Hae Chan left here today after winding up its visit to Pyongyang on the invitation of the National Reconciliation Council of the DPRK.
It was seen off at the airport by Choe Song Ik, vice-chairman of the council, and officials concerned.

U.S. and S. Korean Warhawks' Anti-DPRK Saber-Rattling under Fire
Pyongyang, March 10 (KCNA) -- RSOI and field mobile exercises the U.S. and the south Korean warlike forces are going to stage by mobilizing huge troops and the latest war hardware are a blatant challenge to the trend of the situation on the Korean Peninsula turning favorable and a serious provocation against the DPRK. A spokesman for the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Fatherland (CPRF) declared this in a statement on Saturday.

The projected provocative saber-rattling is an uncouth act little short of leveling a gun at the dialogue partner and an anachronistic act aimed to stem the trend towards reconciliation and improved relations and restore the relations of confrontation and hostility.
The war maneuvers planned by the U.S. and the south Korean authorities, while saying one thing and doing another and playing double-dealing tactics, make the DPRK skeptical about whether they were sincere when they reached all the agreements with the DPRK and they are now willing to put them into practice.
A particular mention should be made of the fact that the authorities of the south side have perpetrated such perfidy as announcing the plan for such joint war exercises with the U.S. as soon as they went back after agreeing to exert common efforts to implement the February 13 agreement, ensure peace on the Korean Peninsula and improve the north-south relations, guided by the basic spirit of the June 15 joint declaration, at the recent ministerial talks. This behavior has touched off towering indignation of the DPRK.
The U.S. and the south Korean authorities should immediately cancel their plan to stage the anachronistic and reckless anti-DPRK saber-rattling, clearly understanding that the war moves will only becloud the prospect for the settlement of the nuclear issue on the Korean Peninsula and bring destruction.
All-out Anti-Japanese Struggle Called for in S. Korea
Pyongyang, March 11 (KCNA) -- The Solidarity for Implementing the South-North Joint Declaration reportedly made public on March 6 a written warning to the Japanese government bent on cracking down upon Koreans in Japan.

Tras resaltar que la autoconfianza de Corea esta fundamentada en la idea Juche, creada por el gran Lider, Presidente Kim Il Sung y profundizada y desarrollada por Su Excelencia Kim Jong Il, gran Dirigente, argumento la veracidad, la cientificidad y la vitalidad eterna de esta idea.
Harish Gupta, secretario general del mismo instituto, y otros oradores subrayaron que los paises regionales asiaticos deben levantar en lo mas alto la bandera de la independencia y de la autoconfianza y acotaron que para construir una poderosa economia nacional y cumplir la causa de independencia, es preciso frustrar las maniobras de "globalizacion" de EE.UU.
En el foro fue aprobada una carta dirigida al Dirigente Kim Jong Il.
La misiva senala que los ultimos exitos prodigiosos de Corea confirman claramente la justeza de la politica de Songun, que practica el Dirigente.
Subraya que los participantes en el seminario impulsaran con mas vigor las labores orientadas a materializar la idea Juche en lo conveniente a las caracteristicas regionales y las realidades de cada pais y nacion, de modo que contribuyeran al cumplimiento de la causa de la independencia en todo el orbe.
Unidad nacional es fuerza motriz de la reunificacion de Corea
Pyongyang, 10 de marzo (ATCC) -- Para registrar un avance mas grande en la lucha pannacional de hoy por adelantar cuanto antes la reunificacion de la patria, todos los coreanos deben impulsar activa y unanimemente el proceso de reconciliacion bajo la bandera del ideal de "entre nosotros, los connacionales".
Adelanta el diario Rodong Sinmun en un articulo individual de este sabado y prosigue:
Todos los integrantes de la nacion coreana deben unirse con una sola voluntad bajo la bandera del patriotismo para cumplir su responsabilidad y papel, que les corresponden como sujetos de la reintegracion de la patria.
Si todos los coreanos del Norte, el Sur y en ultramar alcanzan la gran unidad pannacional tras identificar sus decisiones, seran resueltos el problema fundamental para la mencionada empresa y los otros relativos.
Desde el dia de la publicacion de la Declaracion Conjunta Norte-Sur del 15 de Junio hasta la fecha, los coreanos sintieron en carne propia que la gran unidad pannacional significa la unica salvacion para la nacion coreana e implica precisamente la reunificacion. La conmovedora realidad y los acontecimientos dados en el movimiento por la reintegracion territorial despues de la aparicion del ideal de "entre nosotros, los connacionales" son productos de la voluntad de todos los coreanos de unirse y de su fervoroso patriotismo.
La division de la patria es una tragedia temporal en la historia nacional y es una ley del desarrollo nacional que la nacion coreana sera fusionada en una sola.
Pues, ninguna fuerza puede dividir para siempre en dos partes a la homogenea nacion coreana, formada y desarrollada a traves de su larga historia de cinco milenios, ni frenar la corriente historica hacia la reunificacion.
El motor de esta causa reside en las fuerzas unidas de la nacion coreana.
Son optimistas la determinacion y el entusiasmo de los coterraneos para hacer brillar la epoca de reunificacion iniciada el 15 de junio mediante la preponderancia de la nacion, la defensa de la paz y el logro de la union. La realizacion de estas tres tareas posibilita adelantar el dia de reunificacion de la patria.
Con la firme confianza en la victoria, todos los coreanos del Norte, el Sur y en ultramar deben luchar con mas vigor por glorificar la epoca mencionada, y escribir cuanto antes en el territorio patrio una nueva historia de la paz y la reunificacion de la patria.
Pyongyang espera participantes en Campeonato Mundial de Hockey (F)
Pyongyang, 10 de marzo (ATCC) -- En Corea se dio toque final a los preparativos para auspiciar el Campeonato Mundial de Hockey sobre el Hielo (F) de 2007 (segunda categoria).
En una entrevista con un reportero de la Agencia Telegrafica Central de Corea, Kim Kang Chol, subsecretario general de la Asociacion Coreana de Hockey sobre el Hielo (ACHH) dijo:
En la reunion anual de 2005-2006 de la Federacion Internacional de Hockey sobre el Hielo (FIHH) efectuada el ano pasado, Pyongyang fue definido como anfitrion de la segunda categoria del citado Campeonato Mundial.
Por lo tanto, la ACHH, bajo la gran atencion y el activo aporte del Estado, promovio los preparativos para auspiciarlo de modo mas excelente.
A base de revision general a las instalaciones de competencia y entrenamiento, la ACHH impulso activamente la labor para acondicionarlas de acuerdo con la demanda tecnica internacional del coliseo de esta disciplina deportiva.
Tambien acondiciono magnificamente en nivel supremo las salas de espera de jugadores, de servicio medico, de entrenadores y jueces, de calentamiento fisico y otras instalaciones auxiliares.
Ademas, encauza gran fuerza a la labor para preparar las condiciones para que los miembros y funcionarios de la FIHH y los equipos deportivos, que vendran aqui, pasen dias alegres sin ningunas incomodidades.
El delegado de la FIHH que vino a Corea para hacer conocimiento del estado de preparacion del Campeonato, recorrio el Patinadero Cubierto y todos los demas objetos y se mostro satisfecho de los preparativos realizados y expreso agradecimiento por el respecto.
Pyongyang en la estacion primaveral esta listo plenamente para acoger a las jugadoras y aficionados de varios paises del mundo que vendran para tomar parte en el presente certamen deportivo.
