Anniversary of Kim Jong Il's Start of Work at C.C., WPK Marked
Pyongyang, June 11 (KCNA) -- A lecture and a seminar were held in Democratic Congo and South Africa on May 28 and June 5 on the occasion of the 43rd anniversary of Kim Jong Il's start of work at the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.
Displayed at the venues of the functions were famous works of Kim Jong Il and photos showing his undying exploits performed in party building.
Otete Gaston Mboyo, chairman of the National Committee of the Genuine Lumumbist Patriotic Party of Democratic Congo, in a lecture noted that Kim Jong Il put forward the policy of modeling the whole party on the Juche idea and has settled all the problems arising in party building and activities as planned and intended by President Kim Il Sung.
The chairman of the Group for the Study of Progressive Idea in Northern Branch of Pretoria of the South African Democratic Union of Teachers said at a seminar that no one can find within the WPK such faction or factional strife as often witnessed in political parties of other countries. All the members of the WPK are firmly united as one in mind around their leader, he added.
The participants in the functions watched Korean films "Respected Comrade Kim Jong Il Is a Great Thinker and Theoretician" and "Care Shown to Make Their Lives Shine."
Repeal of NSL Urged in S. Korea
Pyongyang, June 11 (KCNA) -- The Family Movement for Realizing Democracy in south Korea held the 665th Thursday rally at Thapgol Park in Seoul on June 7, according to the south Korean Internet broadcasting Voice of People.
The participants in the rally deplored that 20 years have passed since the June popular resistance in 1987 but many people who were active for democratization of society are still now being kept behind bars.
They pointed out that the "National Security Law," an evil law against reunification and human rights, still remains intact, whereby pro-reunification patriots are imprisoned.
They said that it is impossible to expect human rights and freedom of the people as long as this evil law is left intact.
They urged the "government" to repeal the NSL at an early date and set free all the prisoners of conscience.
Concert Held in New York
Pyongyang, June 11 (KCNA) -- Korean artistes in the United States gave a concert in New York on June 3 to mark the 7th anniversary of the publication of the June 15 joint declaration, according to Minjok Thongsin, the internet paper of Koreans in the U.S.
Appreciating the concert were members of the Federation of Koreans in the U.S. and the permanent mission of the DPRK in the United Nations and Koreans in the U.S.
The colorful program included the cello concerto "Best Wish", the orchestras "Rich Harvest Comes to the Chongsan Plain" and "Swinging Girl", the vocal solos "My Beloved Motherland", "Blue Sky over My Country" and "Girl in Spring" and the group singing "See You Again," which was wildly acclaimed by the audience.
Poem Recital on Pochonbo Battle Anniversary
Samjiyon, June 10 (KCNA) -- A poem recital gathering of youths and students "We will succeed to the march to Mt. Paektu" was held in Mt. Paektu on June 10 to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the victory in the Pochonbo battle.
The lengthy epic "Mt. Paektu" was recited to begin with.
The youths and students were moved to the depth of their being by the verses recited passionately with the ardor of the poet who burst into a violent emotion in Mt. Paektu vividly bearing noble footmarks of President Kim Il Sung routing the Japanese imperialists and accomplishing the historic cause of the country's liberation.
Recited then was the lyric "Lineage" to the effect that the revolutionary tradition established in the flames of the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle is the historic root of the Korean revolution and it gives steadfast continuity to it. It was followed by the recital of the poem of revolutionary anecdote "Mt. Paektu and the General" touching the right chords in the hearts of the audience.
The reciters highly praised Kim Jong Il for defending the socialist motherland and glorifying the dignity and honor of the nation through his energetic leadership under the uplifted banner of Songun.
The gathering ended with poem and chorus "We will succeed to the march to Mt. Paektu".
Abe Group's Moves for Overseas Expansion Denounced
Pyongyang, June 11 (KCNA) -- The revised "Law on the Setting up of the Ministry of Defense" and "Law on the Self-Defense Forces (SDF)" were recently carried through the Upper House of Japan to be formally adopted. Accordingly, the Defense Installations Agency is to be integrated into the Ministry of Defense.
Rodong Sinmun Monday notes that the Abe team seeks in this legal step to lawfully hasten the revival of militarism and overseas aggression.
The analyst continues:
Japan coaxed the United States into allowing it to use U.S. bases in Alaska, Guam, Hawaii, etc., going beyond its boundaries. This is a ruse of the Japanese militarist forces to use U.S. bases outside Japan as springboards for military operation of the SDF overseas.
In recent years SDF troops staged various joint war games with the U.S. forces in their bases overseas. By doing so, the Japanese reactionaries have made it a usage and fait accompli for the SDF to go beyond Japan's boundaries and stage military exercises and got it ready for conducting military operations designed for overseas aggression. These moves are an irrefutable proof that the SDF is being turned into armed forces of offensive type.
The war-thirsty Abe team is mulling the purchase of 100 F-22A Raptor stealth fighters, ultra-modern air strike planes, from the U.S. while openly seeking the exercise of "the right to collective self-defense" and promoting the development of the missile defense system. This well illustrates to what dangerous extent it has gone in its push for the building of a military giant and overseas expansion.
With the Abe group steeped in this drive, Japan is now turning into a war-seeking state and the war danger is growing in Northeast Asia.
The Abe team should stop its reckless militarist folly, if it does not want to end up in a tiger moth's lot.
All Koreans Called upon to Remain True to Idea of "By Our Nation Itself"
Pyongyang, June 11 (KCNA) -- The June 15 era of reunification requires all Koreans to regard "By our nation itself" as a motto of struggle and life. Only when all Koreans remain true to it, is it possible to preserve the Juche character and national character of the homogeneous nation and successfully carry out the tasks of attaching importance to the nation, defending peace and achieving unity.
Rodong Sinmun today says this in a signed article.
The basic spirit of the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration, the sign post for carving out the destiny of the Korean nation in the new century, is to settle the issue of national reunification independently by the concerted efforts of the Koreans as they are responsible for it, the article says, and goes on: As the issue of national reunification is, in essence, the matter related to the sovereignty of the nation, the Koreans should be responsible for it and should settle it by their concerted efforts in accordance with the independent will and requirement of the nation. Doing everything in the idea of "By our nation itself" is an inviolable right of the Korean nation and the idea of the June 15 era of reunification.
What is urgent for the Korean nation is not to settle the issue of the differing ideologies and systems but wipe out the distrust and confrontation that have lasted for several decades, promote harmony and rejoin the blood ties of the nation through its concerted efforts. This is what all Koreans urge at present.
Big progress and signal success have been made in the movement for national reunification in the June 15 era of reunification despite several decades-old differences in ideologies and social systems. All this has been possible because they worked hard for inter-Korean reconciliation, unity and cooperation for the common interests of the nation, regarding the idea of "By our nation itself" as the basic idea.
Accusing the U.S. and ultra-right conservative forces including the Grand National Party in south Korea subservient to the U.S. of standing in the way of the Korean nation advancing in the spirit of "By our nation itself," the article calls on all Koreans in the north and the south and abroad to go united and deal deadly blows at the U.S. imperialists and pro-U.S. conservative forces including the GNP who challenge them.
KCNA Urges U.S. to Stop Acting Fool
Pyongyang, June 11 (KCNA) -- Lefkowitz, special envoy of the U.S. State Department for human rights issue of north Korea, took fault with the human rights performance in the DPRK in a recent annual report submitted to Congress and on many other occasions.
A spate of rhetoric heard from the U.S., a centre of plot-breeding, fraud and swindle, do not deserve even a passing note, but there is the need to let the world community know clearly about the U.S. sinister aim lurking behind the nonsensical malarkey let loose by this guy in view of its crafty and serious nature.
What the U.S. seeks is to paint the process of the six-party talks as a version of "the Helsinki process" that brought down the former Soviet Union and the erstwhile East European socialist countries while shirking the responsibility for the delayed process for the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula on to the DPRK side.
This is clearly evidenced by the utterances of Lefkowitz that the solution to the "human rights issue" in north Korea should become one of the major targets of the free world and "human rights improvement" in north Korea is a prerequisite for the improved relations between the U.S. and north Korea.
Lefkowitz's efforts are futile.
The DPRK has remained a bulwark of socialism and emerged ever-victorious despite all kinds of obstructions on the part of the U.S. as it has held fast to the banner of Songun, the banner of independence and dignity as an invincible treasured sword.
This clearly proves that the process of the six-party talks and the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula can never be an extension of the "Helsinki process" as claimed by the U.S.
Lefkowitz is keen to save his face, giving "advices" to others on different occasions as he has failed to produce any "results" as a special envoy. So what he uttered is no more than a foolish ploy to convince others that he is not useless.
It is this folly of the U.S. that only delays the settlement of the nuclear issue and brings into bolder relief its true colors as the criminal responsible for hamstringing the process of denuclearization on the Korean Peninsula and harassing peace and stability in Northeast Asia.
Human rights represent state sovereignty. It is impudent enough for the U.S. to interfere in the matter pertaining to the rights and sovereignty of other country as it is plagued with so many serious problems and hideous crimes.
The U.S. is the country with the world's poorest human rights record as it hurled a great many Americans into battle fields to meet miserable deaths under the pretext of "war on terrorism" and has tightened the system of fascist policing and control through enactment and effectuation of such wartime laws as "Patriot Act" aimed at violating human rights and democracy.
After occupying Afghanistan, Iraq and other sovereign states through unjust war of aggression the U.S. tortured and killed prisoners in the most savage and despicable manner in the history of human civilization in the 21st century at modern "Oswiecim concentration camps". The U.S. is the country of beasts which regards man-hunting as pleasure.
655,000 innocent Iraqi civilians were killed from March of 2003 when the U.S. ignited the Iraqi war to early October last year and thousands of civilians died in one month.
It is sheer hypocrisy and mockery of humankind for the U.S. to talk about human rights after causing such horrible tragedy. The U.S. is the world's worst human rights abuser which is not entitled to say anything about human rights.
The U.S. had better stop styling itself a "human rights judge" which nobody recognizes and repent of its human rights abuses, instead of interfering in the "human rights issue" of other countries.
DPRK Women's Eleven Beats Australian Rival
Pyongyang, June 11 (KCNA) -- An Asian regional qualifier between the women's football team of the DPRK and the Australian women's team belonging to Group B was held in Australia on Sunday for the 29th Olympic Games.

DPRK Cabinet Premier Meets Chinese Ambassador
Pyongyang, June 11 (KCNA) -- Kim Yong Il, premier of the DPRK Cabinet, met and had a talk with Chinese Ambassador here Liu Xiaoming who paid a courtesy call on him at the Mansudae Assembly Hall Monday.

The circus has created and performed over 1,050 pieces of acrobatic works over the last years.
In particular it introduced into performance synchronized and ice acrobatics for the first time in Asia in the 1980s. It has created and performed more than 30 pieces of synchronized and ice acrobatics.

Pyongyang, 11 de junio (ATCC) -- El portavoz del Comite Nacional de Defensa de la Paz de Corea (CNDPC) publico el dia 10 una declaracion condenando que el desenfrenado aumento armamentista y los ejercicios belicos de las fuerzas belicistas surcoreanas resultan un grave desafio a toda la nacion coreana, que desea la paz de la Peninsula Coreana, y a la opinion publica interna y externa y una peligrosa provocacion a la contraparte del dialogo.
Ultimamente, los belicistas surcoreanos decidieron introducir entre 2012 y 2017 los cazas ultramodernos desde Estados Unidos y dan acicate al desarrollo y ubicacion de nuevos buques de combate a traves de las incesantes "ceremonias de botadura", precisa la nota y prosigue:
Ademas, para "examinar" la "capacidad operacional", llevan a cabo desde finales del mes pasado el "simulacro cibernetico" llamado "Thaeguk", entre otras, maniobras belicistas contra el Norte de Corea.
Junto con EE.UU. y Japon, ellos cuestionan y censuran caso por caso la prueba de unos misiles de corto alcance por parte de la Republica Popular Democratica de Corea, pero, detras de la cortina, hacen todo lo que se les antoje como el desarrollo e introduccion de pertrechos belicos sofisticados, la prueba de misiles y los ejercicios belicos.
Esta conducta criminal y antinacional convierte en papel mojado la Declaracion Conjunta Norte-Sur del 15 de Junio, lleva a la quiebra la paz y las relaciones intercoreanas y ejerce influencias negativas sobre el proceso de la solucion del problema nuclear de la Peninsula Coreana.
El ejercito y el pueblo de Corea no estaran con brazos cruzados ante esas acciones tan imprudentes en que incurren los belicistas surcoreanos detras de la mesa del dialogo.

FDRP llama a la sagrada batalla para expulsar a las tropas yanquis
Pyongyang, 11 de junio (ATCC) -- En ocasion del 20 aniversario de la heroica Sublevacion Popular de Junio de los habitantes surcoreanos, el portavoz del Comite Central del Frente Democratico para la Reunificacion de la Patria (FDRP) emitio el dia 9 una declaracion llamando a todos los partidos, las fracciones y los habitantes de distintos sectores del Sur de Corea a levantarse como un solo hombre en la sagrada batalla para expulsar a las tropas norteamericanas del suelo surcoreano y exterminar a las fuerzas conservadoras proyanquis.
Ese alzamiento mostro fehacientemente que ninguna represion tan salvaje de las fuerzas dictatoriales proyanquis puede frenar el avance de las masas populares levantadas para su justa causa y que son inagotables las fuerzas de las segundas, senala el documento y prosigue.
@Este evento deja una seria leccion de que si no se despliega hasta el final la lucha antiyanqui y antidictatorial para aniquilar a EE.UU. y las hordas fascistas, se echaran por tierra los primeros exitos de la democratizacion logrados por las masas populares dando su vida.
Hasta hoy, EE.UU. sigue portandose como el dueno del Sur de Corea e imponiendo insoportables sufrimientos y penalidades a los habitantes locales.
Ademas, frena perversamente la reconciliacion y la unidad de la nacion coreana y la reunificacion del pais al desarrollar desenfrenados ejercicios belicos contra el Norte de Corea y aumentando sus fuerzas armadas.
Las fuerzas conservadoras proyanquis del Sur de Corea, expulsadas del "poder" segun la severa sentencia de la historia y la epoca, maniobran desesperadamente para tomar de nuevo el poder anorando aquellos dias en que se entregaban a toda clase de arbitrariedades y represion situandose por encima de las masas populares.
En esta epoca del 15 de junio la independencia, la democracia y la reunificacion han llegado a ser la firme tendencia de la epoca, y resultara fracasado cualquier intento de hacer contramarchar esta impetuosa corriente de la historia.
Los habitantes de distintos sectores del Sur de Corea deben luchar como un solo hombre por frustrar los desafios desesperados de los reaccionarios de la historia que marchan en contra de la corriente de la epoca del 15 de Junio.
Rodong Sinmun denuncia expansion a ultramar de fuerzas belicosas de Abe
Pyongyang, 11 de junio (ATCC) -- Recientemente la camara de consejeros de la dieta japonesa aprobo oficialmente la "ley de establecimiento del ministerio de defensa" y "ley de fuerzas de autodefensa". Se dice que de acuerdo con ellas la Agencia de Instalaciones de Defensa se unira al Ministerio de Defensa.
Con tales medidas juridicas las fuerzas belicosas de Abe intentan acelerar legalmente el resurgimiento militarista y las maniobras de agresion a ultramar. Asi senala el diario Rodong Sinmun en un comentario individual insertado en su edicion del dia 11 y continua:
Japon persuadio a Estados Unidos para recibir el permiso de este de que las "fuerzas de autodefensa" utilicen las bases norteamericanas de Alaska, la isla Guam y Hawai como trampolin de sus operaciones militares en ultramar. En los ultimos anos las "fuerzas de autodefensa" de Japon libran toda clase de ejercicios militares en las bases norteamericanas en ultramar junto con las tropas yanquis. Los reaccionarios japoneses regularizan y hacen hechos consumados los ejercicios militares de las "fuerzas de autodefensa" en ultramar para practicar la operacion militar de agresion a otros paises. Tal movimiento sirve de una clara prueba de que las "fuerzas de autodefensa" de Japon van convirtiendose en las fuerzas militaristas ofensivas.
Las fuerzas belicosas de Abe persiguen abiertamente el ejercicio de "derecho a autodefensa colectiva", promueven el desarrollo del sistema antimisiles e intentan adquirir de EE.UU. 100 unidades de caza Stealth "F-22A Raptor" para el ataque movil aereo de ultima moda, lo cual demuestra a que grado peligroso llegan las maniobras de conversion en potencia militar y de expansion a ultramar.
Japon se convierte paulatinamente en estado belico agrandando el peligro de la guerra en el Nordeste Asiatico.
Las fuerzas belicosas de Abe deben poner de inmediato fin a tal temeridad militarista.
Maxima del movimiento por la reunificacion nacional
Pyongyang, 11 de junio (ATCC) -- La epoca de reunificacion del 15 de junio exige a la nacion coreana a tomar por la maxima de la lucha y vida el ideal de "Entre nosotros, los connacionales". Solo al quedar fiel a este ideal es posible mantener el caracter Juche y la nacionalidad de la nacion homogenea y cumplir con exito las tres tareas: la preponderancia de la nacion, la preservacion de la paz y la realizacion de la unidad.
Asi senala el diario Rodong Sinmun en un articulo individual del dia 11 y continua:
El espiritu principal de la Declaracion Conjunta Norte-Sur del 15 de Junio que es el jalon de la forja del destino de la nacion coreana en el nuevo siglo es resolver de modo independiente con las fuerzas unidas de la nacion el problema de la reunificacion del pais.
Como la reunificacion de la patria es en su esencia la cuestion relativa a la soberania de la nacion coreana, esta debe resolverla por cuenta propia segun la voluntad y demanda independiente de si misma. "Entre nosotros, los connacionales" es un derecho inalienable de la nacion coreana e ideal de la epoca de reunificacion iniciada el 15 de junio.
La tarea urgente de la nacion coreana no es eliminar las diferencias de la idea y el regimen sino acabar con la desconfianza y confrontacion de varios decenios y lograr la concordia de la nacion por cuenta propia y unir el vaso sanguineo de esta. Hoy dia los coreanos lo desean unanimemente. En la epoca de reunificacion del 15 de junio pese a las diferencias de ideas, ideales, regimenes y creencias religiosas que perduraban decenas de anos se lograron grandes avances y exitos en el movimiento por la reunificacion de la patria gracias a que nuestra nacion vino realizando la reconciliacion, la unidad y la cooperacion para sus intereses comunes al tomar por ideal principal el lema de "Entre nosotros, los connacionales".
EE.UU. y las fuerzas ultraconservadoras como el "Gran Partido Nacional" del Sur de Corea obstaculizan el camino adelante de la nacion coreana. Todos los coreanos del Norte, el Sur y en ultramar deben frustrar con las fuerzas unidas las maniobras de los imperialistas yanquis y las fuerzas conservadoras proyanquis incluyendo el "Gran Partido Nacional" que ponen freno al movimiento de la nacion coreana por la reunificacion.
