Kim Jong Il's Exploits Praised by Indian Figures
Pyongyang, June 27 (KCNA) -- Indian figures made public statements on June 18 on the occasion of the 43rd anniversary of Kim Jong Il's start of work at the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.
G. Debarajan, secretary of the Central Committee of the All-India Forward Bloc, in a statement said that the might of the WPK which has been developed into invincible ranks would be unthinkable without the guidance of Kim Jong Il.
He has provided a sure guarantee for steadily advancing socialism in the DPRK despite any adversity, the secretary noted.
The deputy secretary general of the All-India Trade Union Congress in a statement stressed that Kim Jong Il has led the WPK for more than 40 years, achieving brilliant successes in all domains of the revolution and construction and performing great exploits in defending socialism from imperialism.
Korean People's Cause of National Reunification Supported
Pyongyang, June 27 (KCNA) -- British and Swiss organizations sent solidarity messages to the Pyongyang Mission of the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front on June 15 and 16 on the occasion of the 7th anniversary of the publication of the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration.
The British Association for the Study of Songun Policy in the message said that the adoption of the joint declaration was an event which brought about a signal turn in the movement for Korea's reunification and ushered in the June 15 era of reunification.
The Swiss Committee for Supporting the Independent and Peaceful Reunification of Korea in the message noted that the historic inter-Korean summit and the adoption of the joint declaration were the fruition of the bold decision, boundless devotion and wise leadership of Kim Jong Il who has creditably carried forward the idea and line of President Kim Il Sung for national reunification.
The Korean nation will surely achieve the country's reunification in the near future under the uplifted banner of "By our nation itself", the basic spirit of the June 15 joint declaration, the message said, stressing they would as ever extend full support and encouragement to the Korean people in their sacred struggle to achieve national reunification by driving the U.S. imperialists out of south Korea.
Meanwhile, Egyptian and Syrian figures issued statements on June 17 on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the July 4 North-South Joint Statement and the 7th anniversary of the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration.
Ahmad Hassan, general secretary of the Nasser Arab Democratic Party of Egypt, in a statement said that the three principles of national reunification--independence, peaceful reunification and great national unity--laid down by President Kim Il Sung were embodied in the joint statement issued between the north and south of Korea on July 4, 1972 to be invariable guidelines for accomplishing the cause of reunification.
Saber Ballul, vice dean of the Political Faculty of the University of Damascus, in a statement expressed the conviction that the Korean people led by the great leader would always win victory, progress and prosperity and achieve the historic cause of national reunification along the road indicated by the Juche idea and the Songun idea.
Dastardly Behavior of Legislators from GNP Accused
Pyongyang, June 27 (KCNA) -- The Federation of Koreans in the U.S. in a statement on June 20 reportedly slammed lawmakers from the Grand National Party of south Korea for rudely behaving to foil the grand festival for national reunification marking the seventh anniversary of the June 15 joint declaration held in Pyongyang recently after making their ways to it.
The statement said:
The GNP is a treacherous party as it not only negated the joint declaration and described June 15 as a "day of national humiliation" but did not hesitate to take issue with the expression "By our nation itself" used in the joint press release of the 21st inter-Korean ministerial talks.
Nevertheless, lawmakers from the GNP insisted that they should be invited to sit in the first row of the platform party far from repenting of what it has done. Their behavior is a mockery of the martyrs and fellow countrymen who struggled for independence, peace and the reunification of the country at the risk of their lives.
Holding that such impudent behavior of the legislators from the GNP deserves condemnation, the statement urged them to honestly apologize to all the fellow countrymen.
Events Held to Mark Important Day of DPRK
Pyongyang, June 27 (KCNA) -- Korean book and photo exhibitions and film shows took place in Uganda, Nigeria, India, Indonesia and Malaysia from June 13 to 19 on the occasion of the 43rd anniversary of Kim Jong Il's start of work at the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.
On display in the venues were famous works of President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, photos showing their immortal feats and books and pictures introducing Songun Korea.
The participants of the film shows saw such Korean films as "The Great Leader Comrade Kim Jong Il Gives Field Guidance to Work in Various Fields", "The Great Leader Guiding the Building of a Great Prosperous Powerful Nation to Victory" and "For the Liberation of the Country".
Abrogation of NSL Demanded in S. Korea
Pyongyang, June 27 (KCNA) -- The Youth and Students Solidarity for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration in south Korea reportedly issued a statement on June 22. In the statement the organization called on the youth and students to stage a more vigorous struggle to get the "National Security Law" repealed and check the public security authorities' repressive moves and strongly urged the authorities to immediately set free those who have been detained on the strength of the evil law.
Referring to the fact that the security authorities recently arrested Pak Jun Ui, director of the policy-making bureau of the Student Committee of the Democratic Labor Party, on the charge of violation of the NSL, the statement said: This shows that the authorities' repression of the progressive figures has gone beyond the limits.
Such persistent and intensified crackdown is evidently intended to stem the implementation of the June 15 joint declaration, it said, adding:
There is no room in this land for the anti-reunification forces to remain because they seek to prolong the remainder of their life by dint of the NSL when all Koreans are advancing towards national reunification by pooling their efforts.
Implementation of Three Tasks Called for
Pyongyang, June 27 (KCNA) -- All the Koreans should give full play to their patriotic zeal under the uplifted banner of three tasks--attaching importance to the nation, defending peace and achieving unity--and thus invariably defend and glorify the June 15 era of reunification, says Rodong Sinmun Wednesday in a signed article.
The three tasks are the most important tasks facing the Koreans in their struggle to achieve the independent and peaceful reunification of the country, the article says, and goes on:
Attaching importance to the nation represents a basic stand that should be maintained to improve the north-south relations and solve the reunification issue independently.
No outsiders can be better than the nation and no foreign interests can be more important than those of the nation. It is possible to meet the requirements of attaching importance to the nation only when the requirements and the interests of the nation are considered as an absolute standard and fully met and the independent principle and the principle of putting the interests of the nation above all and defending it are firmly maintained, not yielding to the outsiders' pressure and blackmail. It presents itself as a more important issue than ever before to develop the inter-Korean relations and the reunification movement in the idea of "By our nation itself" and oppose and reject the outsiders' interference and obstructions and the anti-reunification conservative forces in south Korea, their lackeys.
Defending peace is a militant task vital to the nation.
The situation on the Korean Peninsula still remains tense due to the moves of bellicose forces at home and abroad for a war of aggression. The war-like forces of the U.S. and south Korea continue staging DPRK-targeted large-scale military exercises, while getting evermore frantic in their arms buildup.
It is quite natural for the Koreans to have stood against the moves of outsiders and their followers for aggression and war and waged a dynamic struggle to drive the U.S. forces out of south Korea under the uplifted banner of defending peace.
Achieving unity provides a sure guarantee for achieving the independent and peaceful reunification of the country.
The present era requires the achievement of the national unity on a new higher stage.

National Taekwon-do Championships Open
Pyongyang, June 27 (KCNA) -- The 10th National Taekwon-do Championships for Jongilbong Cup opened with due ceremony at the Taekwon-do Hall here on Wednesday.
Competitions will be made in Taekwon-do, Go and Korean wrestling events at the championships with the attendance of at least 700 players selected from the Korean Taekwon-Do Committee team, the training group of the Sunchon Cement Complex team, provincial Taekwon-do schools, Taekwon-do teams at schoolchildren's palaces and different units across the country and.

Operation on Single Ventricle Succeeded in DPRK
Pyongyang, June 27 (KCNA) -- An operation on single ventricle, a complex congenital cardiac malformation, was successfully performed at the Hospital attached to Pyongyang University of Medicine.
It was Ri Hyang Sim, an 11-year pupil in Tanchon City, South Hamgyong Province, who had her heart operated.
Jo In Su, vice-chief of the Cardiovascular Surgical Department, told KCNA that the operation was very difficult because it needed a high level of technique.
The operation, he added, should be done on the basis of rich experience in heart surgery and high standard of operation conditions.
We successfully conducted the operation after making scrupulous preparations.
Course for Football Coaches (C Class) Held
Pyongyang, June 27 (KCNA) -- A short course for football coaches (C class) was held recently in May Day Stadium, Pyongyang, under the sponsorship of the Asian Football Confederation.
Participated in it were football coaches of various sports groups and juvenile sports schools.
It dealt with theoretical and practical issues arising in guiding the training of juvenile players to suit the world soccer development trend and questions regarding the traits, qualities, duty and role of coaches.
Greetings to Djibouti President
Pyongyang, June 27 (KCNA) -- Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK, sent a message of greetings to Ismail Omar Guelleh, President of Djibouti, on June 27 on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of its independence.
The message wished the Djibouti president success in his responsible work for the progress and prosperity of the country.
21st Congress of Jochong in Japan Held
Tokyo, June 25 (KNS-KCNA) -- The 21st Congress of the Korean Youth League (Jochong) in Japan took place at the Korean House of Culture in Tokyo on June 24.
Present at the congress were Nam Sung U, vice-chairman of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon), and deputies selected from Jochong organizations.
Read out there was a congratulatory message from the Central Committee of the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League. Then, O Yong Chol, chairman of the Central Standing Committee of Jochong, made a report on its work, which was followed by speeches of deputies.
The reporter and speakers mentioned the successes and experience gained in the course of the mass movement to significantly mark the 50th formation anniversaries of Chongryon and Jochong and the 60th anniversary of the enforcement of the secondary education.
They stressed that Jochong would fully discharge its vanguard role in conducting the patriotic movement in the new century with high confidence in the victory in any difficult circumstances.
They also said that Jochong would work hard to safeguard Chongryon and the Korean community and achieve the reunification of the homeland and its prosperity, regarding the "movement for regaining Korean nationality among compatriots", which is intended to expand the national rights of Koreans in Japan, as its main task.
Introduced at the congress were congratulatory messages and greetings from organs at all levels under Chongryon and different organizations in south Korea, Japan and overseas. And followed solidarity addresses by representatives of Japanese youth organizations.
The congress adopted the report on the work of the Jochong Central Standing Committee, a draft amendment to its regulations and a draft report on financial settlement and budget.
Deputy Choe Song Yong was elected chairman of the Jochong Central Standing Committee at the congress.
A letter to Kim Jong Il was adopted there.

Pyongyang, 27 de junio (ATCC) -- Regreso el dia 26 por via aerea a esta capital la coreana To Chu Ji quien habia sido secuestrada y llevada a Japon.
En el aeropuerto de Pyongyang sostuvo un encuentro emotivo con sus entranables hijos.
Antes de partir a la patria, ella concedio una rueda de prensa en la embajada coreana en China e hizo lo mismo en dicho aeropuerto.
En esas ocasiones, participaron los reporteros de periodicos y agencias de noticias de Corea y China y los corresponsales de varios paises.
To Chu Ji nacio el 28 de octubre de 1949 como tercera hija de su padre coreano To Sam Dal y su madre japonesa Miyoko Ishikawa en la ciudad de Kawasaki del departamento de Kanagawa de Japon.
Ella es ciudadana de la Republica Popular Democratica de Corea quien repatrio en 1960 siguiendo a sus padres.
Segun sus declaraciones, ella vivia en el distrito de Pukchang y enganada por unos tipejos malos, en contra de su voluntad cruzo el rio Tuman el 18 de octubre de 2003 y fue llevada despues a Japon.
En sus vivencias en Japon ella se percato de que siendo la madre de cinco hijos de ambos sexos, no valia ninguna pena vivir separada de estos.
Confeso que las noticias, de que sus hijos y nietos siguen viviendo felizmente en el regazo del Partido del Trabajo de Corea, le redoblaron su deseo de verse con ellos.
Dijo que durante su estancia de 3 anos y 7 meses en Japon, se le informo todos los dias a traves de la prensa de los casos delictivos como los asesinatos, la matanza de hijos por parte de sus padres o viceversa y la muerte de los ancianos abandonados y hallados varios meses despues de su desaparicion sin detalles de cuando y como murieron.
Lamento que en esta temible tierra paso esos dias angustiados preocupandose de su eventual muerte sin poder volver a ver a sus hijos.
Por eso, cada vez que los funcionarios japoneses le aconsejaban traer a sus hijos, les respondia que al contrario debia regresar a la patria, senalo y menciono que en varias ocasiones decidio regresar a la patria para morirse al lado de sus hijos y emprendio por fin el camino de repatriacion.
Apoyan en varios paises la causa de reunificacion del pueblo coreano
Pyongyang, 27 de junio (ATCC) -- En ocasion del 7o aniversario de la publicacion de la Declaracion Conjunta Norte-Sur del 15 de Junio, las entidades de Inglaterra y Suiza enviaron los dias 15 y 16 cartas de solidaridad a la sucursal del Frente Democratico Nacional Antiimperialista en Pyongyang.
La Asociacion de Estudio de la Politica de Songun (priorizacion militar) de Gran Bretana destaco en su misiva que la aprobacion de esa Declaracion Conjunta entre ambas partes coreanas significo un evento que trajo cambios trascendentales en el movimiento por la reunificacion de Corea y abrio la epoca de reintegracion iniciada el 15 de Junio.
En su carta, el Comite Suizo de Apoyo a la Reunificacion Independiente y Pacifica de Corea asevero que el historico encuentro entre los maximos dirigentes del Norte y el Sur de Corea y la aprobacion de dicho documento son productos de la decision magnanima, la ilimitada abnegacion y la sabia orientacion del Dirigente Kim Jong Il quien da firme continuidad a las ideas y lineas del Presidente Kim Il Sung en materia de reunificacion de la patria.
Bajo la bandera del ideal de "Entre nosotros, los connacionales", fundamento de la Declaracion Conjunta, la nacion coreana alcanzara sin falta en un futuro cercano la reunificacion del pais, subraya la epistola y ratifica la voluntad de los miembros de la entidad remitente de seguir apoyando y respaldando, al igual que en el pasado, la sagrada lucha del pueblo coreano por reunificar el pais al expulsar a los imperialistas norteamericanos.
Por otra parte, en ocasion de la misma efemeride y del 35 aniversario de la Declaracion Conjunta Norte-Sur del 4 de Julio, las personalidades de Egipto y Siria publicaron el dia 17 sendas declaraciones.

Saber Ballul, subdecano de la facultad de la politica de la Universidad de Damasco de Siria, afirmo en su declaracion que el pueblo coreano guiado por el Dirigente Kim Jong Il lograra siempre la victoria, el progreso y la prosperidad siguiendo la senda que le indican la idea Juche y la del Songun y cumplira la historica causa de reunificacion de la patria.
Rodong Sinmun llama a enarbolar la bandera de tres tareas
Pyongyang, 27 de junio (ATCC) -- Todos los coreanos deben dar pruebas de su entusiasmo patriotico enarbolando la bandera de las tres tareas para asi mantener invariablemente la epoca de reunificacion iniciada el 15 de Junio.
Asi senala el periodico Rodong Sinmun en un articulo individual del dia 27 y continua:
La preponderancia de la nacion, la preservacion de la paz y el logro de la unidad son las importantes tareas que se presentan imprescindiblemente ante la nacion coreana en la lucha por la reunificacion independiente y pacifica del pais.
La preponderancia de la nacion es la posicion fundamental que ha de ser mantenida sin falta para el desarrollo independiente de las relaciones Norte-Sur y la solucion del problema de la reunificacion.
La fuerza foranea no podra ser mejor que la nacion y los intereses de la primera no podran ser mas importantes que los de la segunda.
Podra satisfacer la demanda de la preponderancia de la nacion al realizar estrictamente la exigencia y los intereses de la nacion tomandolas por la pauta absoluta y al mantener con firmeza la posicion independiente y los principios de la preponderancia y defensa de la nacion sin dejarse plegar por la presion y el chantaje de las fuerzas foraneas.
Resulta el mas importante el problema de desarrollar las relaciones intercoreanas y el movimiento por la reunificacion conforme al ideal de "Entre nosotros, los connacionales" y rechazar la intervencion y el estorbo de las fuerzas extranjeras y sus satelites fuerzas conservadoras anti-reunificacion del Sur de Corea.
La defensa de la paz es la tarea vital de lucha de la nacion coreana.
Debido a las maniobras de guerra agresiva de las fuerzas belicosas internas y externas sigue siendo tensa la situacion de la Peninsula Coreana.
EE.UU. y los maniacos de guerra del Sur de Corea no cesan de desarrollar los ejercicios de gran envergadura para la agresion al Norte y siguen aumentando sus fuerzas.
Es sumamente justa la lucha activa que con la bandera de la preservacion de la paz en alto despliega la nacion coreana contra las maniobras de agresion y guerra de las fuerzas foraneas y sus satelites y por la retirada de las tropas norteamericanas del Sur de Corea.
El logro de la unidad es la garantia decisiva para realizar la reunificacion independiente y pacifica de la patria.
La epoca de hoy demanda llevar a una nueva etapa mas alta la unidad de la nacion.
Es importante desplegar con energia la labor para lograr la unidad nacional entre los coreanos en el pais y ultramar y frustrar las maniobras de las fuerzas anti-reunificacion que impiden la unidad nacional en le Sur de Corea.
Personalidades indias elogian las hazanas de Kim Jong Il
Pyongyang, 27 de junio (ATCC) -- Con motivo del 43o aniversario del inicio del trabajo del Dirigente Kim Jong Il en el Comite Central del Partido del Trabajo de Corea, algunas personalidades indias publicaron el dia 18 sendas declaraciones.
El secretario del Comite Central del Frente Progresista de Toda la India, G. Debarajan, subrayo en su nota que el poderio del PTC, fortalecido como invencible fila, es inconcebible al margen de la orientacion del Dirigente Kim Jong Il.
Continuo que el Dirigente preparo una firme garantia para impulsar el socialismo coreano sin ningun desvio aun bajo cualesquier circunstancias muy adversas.
El subsecretario general del Congreso del Sindicato de Toda la India, H. Mahadevan, ratifico en su documento que el Dirigente Kim Jong Il logro fulminantes victorias en todas las esferas de la revolucion y la construccion durante mas de 40 anos de su direccion sobre el Partido del Trabajo de Corea y realizo hazanas extraordinarias en salvaguardar el socialismo rechazando a los imperialistas.
