Ri Hoe Chang's Ambition for Power Assailed
Pyongyang, November 26 (KCNA) -- Voices are growing ever louder in the north and the south of Korea and overseas denouncing traitor of south Korea Ri Hoe Chang's ambition to grab power.
Home media of the DPRK come out every day with commentaries and articles bringing into glaring light the flunkeyistic treacheries, anti-reunification crimes, corruption and swindle committed by Ri Hoe Chang.
The commentaries dismiss his running for "presidency" as a ludicrous kicking and struggling and a fantastic daydream of a political living corpse preoccupied with greed for power.
Rodong Sinmun carries serial articles uncovering the past crimes of Ri Hoe Chang under a fixed headline.
A spokesman for the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Fatherland, answering a question put by KCNA, said it was an intolerable insult to the south Korean people and an unpardonable mockery of justice and consciousness for Ri, who had been forsaken by the times and public sentiments for his despicable flunkeystic treacheries, anti-reunification crimes, corruption and swindle, to attempt to seat himself in the "presidential" post.
Angry voices of denunciation are coming also from the south Korean political quarters including the "New Democratic Party for Great Unity", "Democratic Party", "Creative Party" and the Democratic Labour Party.
Noting that the failure of Ri in the past two "presidential elections" had been a moral judgment passed on him, a spokesman of "Chongwadae" said his running for the forthcoming election was an act ignoring and insulting the people.
The "Grand National Party" is also firing off volleys of criticism on Ri Hoe Chang by every means available. It warned that if anyone within the party communicated secretly with Ri, he would be sternly reprimanded.
Many organizations such as the south Headquarters of the National Alliance for the Country's Reunification and the People for Achieving Peace and Reunification released commentaries condemning the traitor's drive for power.
The Solidarity for Implementing the South-North Joint Declaration in a statement urged the whole progressive camp to make thorough exposure of the irregularities and corruption committed by traitor Ri Hoe Chang including the cases of "Pyongphung," "Sephung," "Chongphung" and "Anphung," and to form an all-people front of struggle against Ri.
The General Association of Koreans in China issued a statement calling for a stern punishment of Ri, a heinous sycophantic traitor and anti-reunification element, in the name of nation.
Cha Sang Bo, vice-chairman of the General Association of Koreans in China, and Mun Thae Hwan, chairman of the Federation of Korean Youth in China, in their statements appealed to the 70 million fellow countrymen to turn out as one in the patriotic struggle of justice to decisively shatter the plot of Ri Hoe Chang, a pro-U.S. stooge and kingpin of irregularities and corruption, to seize "power" and drive this despicable traitor once and for all from the arena of history.
Korean Kimchi - Peculiar National Food
Pyongyang, November 26 (KCNA) -- Kimchi pickling is at its height in the DPRK nowadays.
All the families are generally making the traditional whole cabbage Kimchi.
Depending on local characteristics, there are various kinds of Kimchi such as radish pickled in salt water in Pyongyang, Kimchi wrapped in large cabbage leaves in Kaesong and leaf-mustard Kimchi in the northern mountain areas.
In relatively cold regions, they sufficiently preserve the taste of vegetables by making Kimchi slightly salted, but in warm regions, they make it salty and hot lest it should be spoiled and decomposed.
How much pickled fish is added to seasonings is varied in regions.
Pickled croaker is mainly put into seasonings in the west coastal area and myongtae of cod fish family in the east coastal area. The pickled fish used in North and South Phyongan and North and South Hwanghae provinces is widely varied.
Korean Kimchi is a peculiar national food in nutritive composition and processing method which can not be found in any other countries. It is an important side dish inseparable from the dietary life of the Koreans.
Chongsokjong
Pyongyang, November 26 (KCNA) -- Chongsokjong situated in Thongchon Township, Thongchon County, Kangwon Province, is a rare beauty spot of the DPRK.
Cliffs are made of hexagonal or octagonal pillars of the structure of basaltic joints, which are vertical or slightly slanting.
Washed by sea water, they present a view of rock pillars bound together on the sea, unfolding the famous scene of Chongsokjong.
The rock pillars of the basalt were called Chongsok and there is a pavilion on Chongsok Pass, from which came the name Chongsokjong.
It is also called "Thongchon Kumgang".
Hundreds of rock pillars with various shapes are divided into three groups--Ripchong (standing pillars), Jwachong(sitting pillars) and Wachong(lying pillars). Among them Ripchong rock pillars, each tens of meters high, are so fantastic and beautiful in shape that they look like exquisitely cut jades.
Its surrounding water is a habitat of abalone, sea cucumber, a kind of mackerel, octopus, Pleurogrammus azonus, sea bream and other fish.
Chongsokjong has been registered as a natural monument of Korea.
Rodong Sinmun on Idea of Foreign Policy of WPK and DPRK Government
Pyongyang, November 26 (KCNA) -- Independence, peace and friendship are the idea of the foreign policy of the Workers' Party of Korea and the DPRK government. It is the most just idea as it helps strengthen the international solidarity and make a positive contribution to the cause of global independence. Rodong Sinmun Monday says this in a signed article.

What the Korean people keenly realize at present is that but for Songun there would have not been independence, peace and friendship. For the DPRK Songun precisely means independence, peace and friendship.

The historic Pyongyang Declaration serves as an immortal revolutionary banner for uniting the revolutionary parties and people aspiring after socialism as it confirmed the truth and validity of the cause of socialism and its sure final victory. More than 270 political parties have actively turned out in the struggle to accomplish the cause of socialism since they signed the declaration. This represents the victory of the unity registered in the socialist movement.

Struggle for Frustrating Ri Hoe Chang's Plot to Wrest Power Called for
Pyongyang, November 26 (KCNA) -- Jo Yun Hae, chairman of the Regional Headquarters of the Commonwealth of Independent States of the National Alliance for the Country's Reunification, made public an appeal to the compatriots at home and abroad on Nov. 22 calling on all Koreans to turn out in the struggle to frustrate the plot of Ri Hoe Chang, an anti-reunification traitor, to grab power.
The appeal warned that if such human scum and warmonger as Ri is allowed to win the elections, he will escalate confrontation and tensions and increase the danger of war on the Korean Peninsula, reduce the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration to dead papers and further intensify the suppression of the pro-reunification patriotic forces in south Korea, the forces for the national movement.
The appeal called on the world progressive people from all walks of life and the Koreans at home and abroad to turn out in the just struggle to resolutely foil Ri's plot to grab power and eliminate this wicked traitor to the nation from the arena of history once and for all as he has prolonged his remaining days by leaving only blots on the national history.
Abolition of NSL Urged in S. Korea
Pyongyang, November 26 (KCNA) -- The People's Solidarity for Abolition of the "National Security Law" (NSL) in south Korea and the south Korean Federation of University Student Councils (Hanchongryon) reportedly made public a joint statement entitled "We demand the abolition of the anachronistic NSL" on Nov. 20.
Recalling the fact that the court authorities gave a verdict of not guilty to Pak Jun Ui, director in charge of policy of the Student Committee of the Democratic Labour Party, who was detained with the "case of organization wire-pulling Hanchongryon", the statement said that the "case" was deliberately fabricated by the security authorities for the suppression of the student movement.
The NSL is an evil law of the times as it has been used to cook up such fictitious "cases" and then put many pro-reunification patriots behind bars and impose severe punishment on them, the statement said.
It held that the NSL should be repealed before anything else to realize true freedom and democracy in south Korea and achieve peace and reunification on the Korean Peninsula.
Kim Il Sung's Work Posted on Internet
Pyongyang, November 26 (KCNA) -- The full text of President Kim Il Sung's famous work "10-Point Programme of the Great Unity of the Whole Nation for the Reunification of the Country" was posted on the Internet homepage "One Korea Network" by the Association for Friendship with the Korean People headquartered in Spain on Nov. 20.
The work, published on Apr. 6, Juche 82 (1993), underscores the need for the whole nation to achieve great unity in order to achieve the independent and peaceful reunification of the country and specifies principles and ways for attaining it.
Works of Peerlessly Great Men Studied and Disseminated
Pyongyang, November 26 (KCNA) -- Famous works of President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il were studied and disseminated in diverse forms and methods in at least 40 countries this year.
A total of over 60 foreign political parties, organizations and media organizations including the Maritime Territorial Regional Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, the People's Vanguard of Costa Rica, the Bangladesh-Korea Friendship and Solidarity Committee, the Antri Miek Publishing House in Cambodia and the Publiraser Publishing House in Peru brought out many works in pamphlets and booklets and held significant book releasing ceremonies. The President's work "For a Free and Peaceful New World" and Kim Jong Il's work "The Workers' Party of Korea Is the Party of the Great Leader Comrade Kim Il Sung" and many other works were published in pamphlets by the Canta Clara Publishing House in Venezuela and the Victorial Publishing House in Pakistan.
Media including the Nepalese paper Gorkha Express, the Norwegian paper Friheten, and an Italian TV broadcasting service, the bulletin of the Mexican Committee for the Study of Kimilsungism and the Internet homepages of the U.S. Group for the Study of the Songun Politics and the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea reported the peerlessly brilliant commanders' works in full text or gist and edited articles explaining their profound ideas.

Rodong Sinmun demanda el aseguramiento de la paz en Corea
Pyongyang, 26 de noviembre (ATCC) -- Tanto a la luz de la corriente de la epoca como en vista de la demanda de la situacion creada se presentan como problemas apremiantes relajar la tension militar y preservar la paz en la Peninsula Coreana.
Asi senala el periodico Rodong Sinmun en un articulo individual del dia 25 y continua:
Para asegurar la paz de la Peninsula Coreana es preciso eliminar los factores que perturban la paz.
La politica hostil a Corea de Estados Unidos deviene la causa fundamental por la cual la Peninsula Coreana esta en estado de guerra hasta la fecha a mas de medio siglo posbelico.
La logica de EE.UU. de que la Republica Popular Democratica de Corea "amenaza la seguridad" de si mismo, no pasa de ser una invencion para censurar la politica exterior independiente de la RPDC y las medidas de esta encaminadas a fortalecer el poderio autodefensivo y un pretexto para justificar sus maniobras de agresion a ella.
El imperio trata de suprimir el regimen socialista coreano para eliminar completamente el socialismo en el globo terraqueo.
Cuando EE.UU. persigue su politica hostil a Corea es imposible lograr la normalizacion de las relaciones bilaterales y asegurar la paz duradera en la Peninsula Coreana.
La sustitucion del Acuerdo de Armisticio por el convenio de paz es una condicion fundamental para el aseguramiento de la paz en dicha Peninsula. El logro de esta sustitucion puede eliminar el estado de enfrentamiento militar en esta peninsula y solucionar por si solo el problema del aseguramiento de la confianza entre la RPDC y EE.UU. La actitud de este ultimo pais sobre dicha sustitucion sirve de un cartabon para distinguir si desea la paz o persigue la guerra en esta peninsula.
Eliminar las relaciones hostiles y lograr la confianza entre los dos paises es indispensable para asegurar la paz de la Peninsula Coreana, normalizar las relaciones bilaterales y mejorar la imagen de EE.UU.
Este pais debe poner fin a sus maniobras encaminadas a hacer sus bases militares de Japon y el Sur de Corea y retirar a sus fuerzas amadas agresivas de la Peninsula Coreana y la region de Asia-Pacifico. Esto deviene una condicion importante para el aseguramiento de la paz en la Peninsula Coreana.
Ideal de politica exterior de la RPDC impulsa la causa de independencia
Pyongyang, 26 de noviembre (ATCC) -- El ideal de la politica exterior del Partido del Trabajo de Corea y el gobierno de la Republica Popular Democratica de Corea, que consisten en la independencia, la paz y la amistad, es el mas justo que fortalece la solidaridad internacional y contribuye en gran medida a realizar la causa de independencia del mundo.
Senala asi el diario Rodong Sinmun en un articulo individual de este lunes y prosigue:
El PTC y el gobierno de la RPDC estan golpeando duro a las fuerzas imperialistas, que tratan de mantener el viejo orden internacional, al defender y sostener con firmeza el ideal mencionado.
En particular, marchan adelante levantando en alto la bandera del Songun (priorizacion militar) frente a las pretensiones de los imperialistas de suprimir ese ideal con las fuerzas armadas.
Songun es el arma mas poderosa, que permite al PTC y el gobierno de la RPDC mantener y materializar el ideal de tal politica exterior.
Hoy dia, el pueblo coreano siente en carne propia que sin el Songun no habra ni la independencia ni la paz ni la amistad.
El ideal de la independencia, la paz y la amistad posibilita agrupar y movilizar a las fuerzas independientes antiimperialistas a la lucha por el cumplimiento de la causa de independencia de la humanidad.
La historica Declaracion de Pyongyang, que confirmo la veracidad, la justeza y lo inevitable de la victoria final de la causa socialista, sirve de eterna bandera revolucionaria que une a los partidos y pueblos revolucionarios aspirantes al socialismo. Mas de 270 partidos politicos ya firmaron ese documento y se esfuerzan por el cumplimiento de la causa socialista, lo cual resulta el triunfo de la unidad que se logra en el movimiento socialista.
Bajo la bandera de la independencia, la paz y la amistad, el PTC y el gobierno de la RPDC se esfuerzan por desarrollar las relaciones interestatales, fomentar la cooperacion y lograr el desarrollo comun con los paises y naciones por encima de las diferencias de ideologias y regimenes si ellos respetan la soberania de la RPDC, no intervienen en los asuntos internos de esta y la tratan con igualdad. Esto contribuye a impulsar el desarrollo de las relaciones internacionales y el avance victorioso de la causa de independencia del mundo.
En lo adelante tambien el PTC y el gobierno de la RPDC levantaran en alto la bandera del Songun y realizaran ingentes esfuerzos por materializar el ideal de su politica exterior.
AAC publica obra de Kim Il Sung en Internet
Pyongyang, 26 de noviembre (ATCC) -- La Asociacion de Amistad con Corea (AAC), que tiene su sede en Espana, inserto el dia 20 en el sitio web del Internet "Network de una Corea" el texto completo de la obra maestra del Presidente Kim Il Sung "Programa de diez puntos de la gran unidad pannacional para la reunificacion de la patria", publicada el 6 de abril del 82 (1993) de la Era Juche.
Este trabajo ensena que toda la nacion debe lograr la gran unidad pannacional para reunificar la patria de manera independiente y por via pacifica y enumera en detalles los principios y remedios para alcanzarla.
