New Documentary Film Produced
Pyongyang, December 3 (KCNA) -- The Korean Documentary and Scientific Film Studio has recently produced documentary film "Most Hideous Crimes against Humanity in 20th Century."
The film deals with historic facts about the unprecedentedly hideous crimes the Japanese imperialists committed against humanity in the first half of the 20th century by forcing a large number of Korean women into sexual slavery after occupying Korea by force of arms and thereby wantonly violating their rights.
It cites testimonies made by survivors of the sexual slavery and documents to accuse Japan of enforcing the barbarous system of "comfort women" for the Imperial Japanese Army in different parts of the world including the Korean Peninsula and letting the aggressors cruelly rape many women several decades ago.
It also cites concrete facts to prove such brazen-faced acts of the Japanese right-wing forces as craftily concealing and denying those crimes and, worse still, whitewashing them though it was an official policy of the Japanese government to perpetrate such crimes.
It contains scenes showing the world public resentment and condemnation of Japan's shameless attempt to keep its crime-woven past buried into oblivion.
The film shows the determination of the Korean people to force Japan to pay for the above-said crimes without fail, not forgetting them even a moment, and warns that there will be no future for Japan unless it makes apology and compensation for its past crimes.
Metal Handicraft of Korea
Pyongyang, December 3 (KCNA) -- Metal handicraft of Korea has a long tradition.
The Korean ancestors enhanced the artistic quality of metal crafts with techniques of casting, carving, plating, pattern inlaying and line workmanship.
They made and used a lot of metal products refined in formative artistic depiction already in the Bronze Age.
A mirror with a pattern of fine lines, a harp-shaped bronze dagger, a ring, a brass coin attached to the bridle and other daily necessities and ornaments belonging to ancient Korea were the first metal crafts simple in shape.
Their variety markedly increased in the period of Koguryo. Among them there were gold crowns, earrings, necklaces, rings and gold-copper crafts with reticulated superstructure.
Metal crafts belonging to Koryo and Ri Dynasty were high in their aesthetic value.
Now metal handicraft has developed to higher stage.
Many metal crafts of delicate and exquisite workmanship are made in the DPRK today.
Typical of them are a vase with a pattern of Kimilsungia, a vase with a decorative pattern of the old home in Mangyongdae, a vase with a decorative pattern of the old home in the secret camp of Mt. Paektu, a vase with a pattern of peacock feathers, a wine kettle with a pattern of wild chamomile and a wine cup.
These are effectively decorated with jewels.
Chairman of AKSSJ Interviewed
Pyongyang, December 3 (KCNA) -- Kim Hwa Hyo, chairman of the Association of Korean Social Scientists in Japan, who took part in the national meeting of intellectuals, was interviewed by KCNA Monday.
He said that the national meeting of intellectuals was a great festival of intellectuals which could be held in the homeland only as it is under the leadership of the Workers' Party of Korea whose emblem is emblazoned with a writing brush along with a hammer and a sickle.
I was deeply moved to see the participants fully determined to uphold the revolutionary cause of Juche with knowledge, true to the Songun revolutionary guidance of Kim Jong Il, he noted, and went on:
The peerlessly great men's trust and love for the intellectuals also reflect their warm loving care for the Korean intellectuals in Japan.
President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il indicated the way to be followed by the Korean intellectuals in Japan who had difficulties in scientific researches in the foreign country and took relevant measures. It was thanks to the profound care shown by the peerlessly great men that we have been able to pursue worthwhile scientific inquiries, honored with academic degrees and titles of the DPRK.
In this course we grasped the truth that though science knows no boundary, we have the socialist country of Juche built by the President and glorified by Kim Jong Il, the homeland dearer to us than anything else.
No intellectuals in the world are as happy as we who are devoting ourselves to accomplishing the patriotic cause and scientific researches under the loving care of the great leader.
We will contribute to the achievement of the patriotic cause of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan and the prosperity of the socialist motherland with greater successes in scientific researches.

Ri Hoe Chang's Foolish Remarks Blasted in S. Korea
Pyongyang, December 3 (KCNA) -- The Youth and Students Solidarity for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration in south Korea reportedly issued a statement on November 30 to condemn the reckless remarks of traitor Ri Hoe Chang who totally denied the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration and incited confrontation between the north and the south of Korea.
Recalling that the traitor asserted at the "Kwanhun club invitation seminar" on November 29 that the present government's policy toward the north should be reexamined as a whole, the statement said:
Ri Hoe Chang, a traitor to the nation, murdered a large number of patriots, who devoted themselves to the national reunification, and committed all sorts of irregularities and corruption.
Today all Koreans are striving to bring into practice the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration, fully supporting them. But, it is only Ri Hoe Chang who is dead-set against them.
The reunification movement of the Korean nation has become a trend of the times that can never be reversed nor delayed, the statement said, contending that the south-north relations would make continued progress though Ri is frantically kicking up a confrontation racket.
