Kim Jong Il Inspects Sub-unit of KPA Unit 324
Pyongyang, May 25 (KCNA) -- General Secretary Kim Jong Il inspected a sub-unit of KPA Unit 324.
After acquainting himself with the unit's performance of duty, he watched soldiers' training in the technical lecture room.
He highly appreciated the successes made by all drivers of the sub-unit, noting it is very gratifying that all of them prize trucks and take care of them like the apple of their eyes and ensure accident-free operation of them by steadily improving their driving technique.
He paid deep attention to the soldiers' living, going round an education room, a bedroom, a mess hall, a wash-cum-bath house, a non-staple food store, a rabbit house, a green house and other places of the unit.
He highly appreciated the tenacious way the sub-unit is managing its economic life, saying that the barracks, supply service facilities and their surroundings are kept very neat and tidy.
Choe Song Un, commander of the sub-unit, and commissioned officers in extra service, while serving in it for years from the days of soldiers, have done a lot of work including the positive contribution to increasing the combat capability of the sub-unit by building all facilities necessary for the living of the soldiers, he noted, highly appreciating the feats performed by them for the country and people.
Saying that this sub-unit is an exemplary one in all fields including politico-ideological education, the work to increase combat capability and management, he underscored the need to learn from the revolutionary spirit of self-reliance and fortitude displayed by its servicemen.

DPRK Foreign Ministry Hails Agreement to Settle Political Crisis in Lebanon
Pyongyang, May 25 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the DPRK Ministry of Foreign Affairs Saturday gave the following answer to the question put by KCNA in connection with the agreement reached to settle the dispute in Lebanon:
Some days before, an agreement was reached to settle the dispute among various forces in Lebanon through the mediation of the League of Arab States and Qatar, thus making it possible to defuse the political crisis in Lebanon.
The DPRK hails the important agreement reached to settle the political crisis in Lebanon thanks to the positive efforts of the Arab League and various Arab countries.
This agreement proves that the Arab people are quite capable of settling their problems by themselves.
The DPRK government will as ever positively support the just measures and efforts of the Arab countries and people to settle the Mideast issue.
Anti-Unification Education Guidelines in S. Korea under Fire
Pyongyang, May 24 (KCNA) -- Shortly ago, the Ministry of Unification of south Korea confirmed what it called "2008 basic plan for education in unification" and distributed "guidelines on education in reunification" based on it to schools across south Korea.
In these guidelines the south Korean authorities malignantly defiled and negated the June 15 joint declaration, the keynote of which is the idea of "By our nation itself", and the October 4 declaration, a programme for implementing it, and went the lengths of hurling mud even at the dignified system in the DPRK, talking about "no nukes, opening and 3,000 dollars" unanimously rebuffed and denounced at home and abroad.
The Secretariat of the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Fatherland in information bulletin No. 937 released on May 24 said that the above-said plan and guidelines advanced by the south Korean conservative ruling forces are aimed at inciting confrontation between the north and the south and opposing reunification as they clearly reveal once again the anti-reunification and traitorous nature of the Lee Myung Bak regime.
Every paragraph of the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration is not to meet the interests of one party alone but to defend the sovereignty and the dignity of the Korean nation and achieve co-existence, common prosperity and meet the common interests of the nation, the bulletin notes, and goes on:
The Lee group is, in fact, the worst group of traitors keen on antagonizing the fellow countrymen and sycophancy and treachery as they persistently stand in the way of achieving reunification and prosperity through reconciliation and unity of the fellow countrymen with whom members of the nation should share destiny and do not hesitate to sacrifice even the dignity and the interests of the nation, calling for "pardon" for outsiders and giving priority to the "strategic alliance" with them.
The Lee group glaringly revealed its true colors as a disturber of reconciliation and cooperation and a foe standing in the way of achieving reunification and prosperity by abusing even the education in reunification related to the future of the nation to serve its sinister political purpose.
The DPRK will never pardon those who hurt its dignity and incite confrontation but will take stock of all their crimes.
The Lee group had better stop running amuck, totally withdraw the above-said plan and guidelines and apologize to the nation, facing up to the trend of the times.
Report on Korean Draftees Killed by U.S. Forces' Air Raids Released
Pyongyang, May 25 (KCNA) -- The Association of Korean Victims of Forcible Drafting and Their Bereaved Families made public an investigation report on Saturday in connection with the substantial proof of the fact that Koreans were killed en masse by the U.S. forces' air raids while they were subject to hard labor in Tokyo after being forcibly taken there by the Japanese imperialists in the past.
According to the report, at least 100,000 Koreans were believed to live in Tokyo in the period just before Japan's defeat.
Steel works, shipyards and electrical and other factories were concentrated in Honjo, Hukagawa, Joto and other wards of Tokyo where a large number of Koreans were forced to toil and moil.
At 00:08 on March 10,1945 325 B-29s of the U.S. forces made intensive air raids on Tokyo.
These air raids left a great many Koreans were burnt to death, poisoned to death by carbon monoxide and suffocated to death by the rapid decrease of oxygen. Some of them were drowned to death or died due to heart failure.
Testifying to this tragedy, Deiji Egawa who worked at the Ishigawajima shipyard said that he happened to meet a group of Koreans running away to their lodging house on his way to home soon after the start of the air raids. He added: They were Koreans who had been taken to Japan on March 9. They were in bad shape as they had burns on their faces and hands and their clothes were worn out. The lodging house accommodated about 900 Koreans but only 250-260 Koreans survived.
"Study of Responsibility for the War" No. 53, the organ of the Center for the Study of Materials on War Responsibility of Japan referred to the damage done to Koreans by the air raids as follows: 41,300 out of 97,632 Koreans in Tokyo fell victim to the bombing. Death toll among them was believed to be far more than 10,000.
The Japanese imperialists buried the dead including Koreans in 67 parks, temples and playing grounds of schools, etc. after the air raids without identifying them under the pretext that the Japanese king was expected to inspect this area and perpetrated such crimes against humanity as carelessly disposing of the remains of Koreans who were killed with their grudge unsettled by reburying them together.
All these facts go to prove that the death of so many Koreans during the intensive air raids on Tokyo was entirely attributable to the military occupation of Korea by the then Japanese government and military.
More than 60 years have passed since Japan's defeat, but its government is not contemplating discovering all the remains of the victims of the forcible drafting of Koreans and sending them back to Korea. On the contrary it is running the whole gamut of sleight of hand to evade apology and reparation for its crimes, trying hard to hide them.
The issue of the remains of the above-said victims presents itself as an urgent human rights issue and a humanitarian issue whose solution brooks not a moment's delay in order to give vent to the towering grudge of those who were mercilessly killed by the Japanese imperialists and alleviate the sufferings of the bereaved families.
Accordingly, the Japanese government should make public the truth about the forcible drafting of Koreans, forced labor and the issue of the remains of the dead and take earliest possible practical measures to fully apologize to the victims and their bereaved families and make reparation, instead of getting frantic with anti-DPRK and anti-Chongryon, (General Association of Korean Residents in Japan) campaigns under pretexts of the "abduction issue," "issue of remains" and "human rights issue."

Pyongyang, May 25 (KCNA) -- Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly, Sunday sent a message of greetings to Abdullah II, King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, on the occasion of the 62nd anniversary of its independence.

Pyongyang, May 24 (KCNA) -- Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly, sent a message of greetings to Jean Ping, chairman of the Committee of the African Union, on the occasion of the Day of Africa on May 23.

Contact Made among Representatives of North, South and Overseas Sides
Kaesong, May 23 (KCNA) -- A contact among representatives of the north, south and overseas committees for implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration was made in Kaesong on May 23.
At the contact there was a consultation on the June 15 functions for reunification and a joint press release was issued.
According to the joint press release, it was decided to hold a "national reunification meeting to mark the 8th anniversary of the publication of the June 15 joint declaration" at Mt. Kumgang resort on June 15 and 16.
The above-said representatives decided to further contacts, when necessary, in order to settle technical issues arising in making arrangements for the June 15 meeting for national reunification.
River Improvement Projects Make Brisk Headway
Pyongyang, May 24 (KCNA) -- River improvement projects are making successful progress in the DPRK.
The areas along the banks of the Pothong River in Pyongyang have turned into wonderful places for cultural recreation through the dredging in the river and the planting of trees and flowers of various good species and turfs there. In the meantime, Taedong River bank protection projects are making brisk headway in the capital city.
South Hamgyong Province has dredged rivers and streams and revetted river banks, thus protecting thousands of dwelling houses and dozens of hectares of farm land from flood damage.
Similar projects have been successfully carried out in the cities and counties of South Hwanghae Province, South Phyongan Province and North Phyongan Province, making it possible for them to safely do farming free from flood damage.
More Sets of Triplets Born at Pyongyang Maternity Hospital
Pyongyang, May 24 (KCNA) -- Hwang Sun Yong who resides in the 75th neighborhood unit of the Talma Workers' District of the Chollima County of South Phyongan Province, and Kim Song Ok, a resident in the 38th neighborhood unit of the Uiam-dong of the Taedonggang District of Pyongyang City, each gave an easy birth to male and female triplets at the Pyongyang Maternity Hospital on May 20 and 22.
They have received medical care at the above-said hospital for several months since their pregnancies were confirmed. The babies are now growing in a good condition.
The Pyongyang Maternity Hospital has witnessed so far the birth of nearly 450 sets of triplets since its inauguration in July, Juche 69 (1980).
Thanks to the free medical care in the DPRK all the women who expect triplets are provided with all facilities and conditions at the above-mentioned hospital. The triplets are looked after at the state expense till each of them weighs 4 kilograms.
Kim Il Sung Praised
Pyongyang, May 24 (KCNA) -- Harish Gupta, secretary general of the Asian Regional Institute of the Juche Idea, who visited the DPRK, praised President Kim Il Sung as a great sun of humankind indicating the road to be followed by the era of independence.

KCNA Flails Sycophantic Traitor
Pyongyang, May 24 (KCNA) -- The traitorous Lee Myung Bak group in south Korea is working hard to hold "a military edge" over the DPRK with the backing of its master while calling for "tightened alliance" with the U.S.
The south Korean puppet military in an "8-point keynote report on the defence policy" asserted the need to "maintain capability to unfailingly deter the north and a posture to cope with it" and "round off the preparations to conclude the field operations through prompt counteractions" on the basis of the south Korea-U.S. "alliance."
The warhawks are blustering that the "military edge" maintained with the "alliance" with the U.S. as a main axis would serve as an effective means for pressurizing the DPRK.
The south Korean puppet forces at the 14th "defense analysis seminar" had a confab with the U.S. over the need to increase the south Korean forces' capacity with the U.S. forces' firepower even after the transfer of the "right to control the wartime operations" and intensify joint military exercises including Key Resolve and Ulji Freedom Guardian.
Traitor Lee Myung Bak is tightening south Korea's nexus with the U.S. in all fields while calling for "restoring" the "traditional south Korea-U.S. relations" and upgrading them into "the strategic alliance in the 21st century." He is thus allowing the U.S. to intensify its domination and interference in the internal affairs of south Korea in political, military, economic, social and all other fields and offering all areas of south Korea to the U.S. as its advance base for aggression and war.
The U.S., which considered Lee's seizure of power as the best opportunity, raised south Korea's status in purchasing U.S.-made weapons to that of NATO and has successively delivered ultra-modern war means to it, fanning up its war fever.

The military nexus with the U.S. runs diametrically counter to the interests of the nation as it is obviously a move to boost the alliance for aggression and war.

U.S. Crafty Plot to Pit Koreans against Themselves under Fire
Pyongyang, May 24 (KCNA) -- The U.S. Department of Defense recently announced that it would sell 50 AIM-9Xs to south Korea before submitting an export plan to Congress.

The above-said plan brought to light the sinister intention of the U.S. to use the south Korean puppet armed forces as a shock brigade in a war against the DPRK. South Korean Warmongers to Take Part in RIMPAC
Pyongyang, May 24 (KCNA) -- The south Korean puppet warmongers are contemplating participating in the RIMPAC joint military exercise slated to take place in the waters off Hawaii between June 29 and July 31.
It is already known that the exercise is a dangerous war exercise aimed at the naval blockade against the DPRK.

Import of American Beef Opposed in S. Korea
Pyongyang, May 24 (KCNA) -- Former and incumbent members of the "National Assembly" from opposition parties including the Democratic Labor Party and the Democratic Party for Unity staged a sit-in strike in front of the "Chongwadae" in Seoul on May 21, according to the KBS of south Korea.
At a press conference held prior to the strike, they accused the present "government" of telling lies, lending no ear to the voices of the people.
Holding that renegotiations with the U.S. are the only way to settle the problem, they declared the start of the sit-in strike to hold in check the import of American beef fraught with the danger of "mad cow disease".
Lee Myung Bak Accused of Telling Lies
Pyongyang, May 24 (KCNA) -- Civic and public organizations including the People's Measure Council against the Total Opening of south Korean Market to American Beef held a candlelight rally in front of the building of the Dong-A Ilbo on May 20 at which they accused the Lee Myung Bak group of hoodwinking the people.
Recalling that that day the "government" made public the outcome of an additional negotiation held with the U.S. over the issue of import of American beef, speakers at the rally said:
The group of traitors claimed that the demand of the people was met at the additional negotiation, asserting that "the right to quarantine was regained" and "the U.S. recognized the right to protect the people's health" but this was nothing but hypocrisy.
Saying that the group of traitors never open their mouths without telling lies, they demanded Lee Myung Bak apologize for deceiving the people.

Anti-Reunification Education under Fire in S. Korea
Pyongyang, May 24 (KCNA) -- Civic and public organizations and political parties grouping people of various circles of south Korea including the Solidarity for Progress in south Korea and the Democratic Labor Party held a press conference in front of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade on May 21 at which they condemned the Lee Myung Bak group for enforcing the anachronistic anti-reunification education.
Speakers at the conference disclosed that the "2008 guidelines for education in the unification issue" made public by the "Institute for Education in the Unification Issue" under the "Ministry of Unification" on May 19 call for deleting the part dealing with south-north cooperation and exchange during the past decade and making "no nukes, opening and 3000 dollars" run through the contents of the above-said education.
The Lee group claimed in the "guidelines" that the "June 15 joint declaration sparked conflict in south Korean society and the October 4 declaration lacked people's consent." This glaringly reflected their stand to bring back the era of confrontation by denying all the successes made in the development of the south-north relations. The group is imposing the anti-reunification education upon the younger generation, swimming against the trend of the times.
The group of traitors is working hard to infuse anti-reunification, Cold War-minded consciousness into the students quite contrary to the trend of the times, but they will never succeed.
Actions against Import of American Beef Unabated in S. Korea
Pyongyang, May 24 (KCNA) -- A "national meeting of farmers" against the import of the American beef was held in Seoul on May 22.
It brought together at least 15,000 farmers from different parts of south Korea.
At the meeting held that day speakers declared that the "talk to people" made by Lee Myung Bak as regards the negotiations on the import of American beef was aimed at concluding the FTA with the U.S., come what may.
To step back in the struggle against the import of American beef would lead to nothing but death, they noted, urging the people not to sit idle and wait for death but unite and fight.
Made public there were ten demands including the total annulment of the outcome of the negotiations on beef, apology from Lee Myung Bak, punishment of the chief negotiator and halt to the conclusion of the FTA.
Prior to the meeting, the "farmers, stock-breeders and fishermen's committee for emergency measures against the conclusion of the 'FTA' between south Korea and the U.S." grouping more than 30 farmers' organizations held a press conference in Seoul on May 20 at which it warned that the "government" will meet strong resistance if it goes ahead with the import of American beef defying the people's mind-set.
"Negotiations" with U.S. on Disposal of War Reserve Materials under Fire in S. Korea
Pyongyang, May 25 (KCNA) -- The People for Achieving Peace and Reunification of south Korea and the South Headquarters of the National Alliance for the Country's Reunification called a press conference in Seoul on May 21 at which they denounced the south Korea-U.S. "negotiations" on the disposal of war reserve materials.
Speakers at the press conference accused the U.S. imperialists and the south Korean puppets of holding the above-said "negotiations" to discuss the issue of disposing the waste ammunition, the issue of revising the "memorandum on the agreement on the unitary ammunition support system" and the proposal for boosting the wartime ammunition support capability after the "transfer of the right to command wartime operations" and other issues.
Most of the waste ammunition is old and to take over it is little short of reducing south Korea to a dumping ground for the U.S. troops' ammunition and allowing "one more drain on resources" for the U.S. forces as it would compel south Korea to spend a huge amount of taxes collected from the people for disposing of the ammunition, they noted, and continued:
The U.S. delivery of waste ammunition to south Korea is aimed at decreasing the fund for scrapping useless and inefficient ammunition and pleasing the south Korean puppets on this occasion.
South Korea will have to shoulder upon itself the burden of continuously storing and managing the waste ammunition to support the U.S. reinforcements in "case of emergency" unless the above-said "memorandum" is scrapped, they held, strongly demanding the abrogation of the "memorandum".
Japan's Moves to Grab Tok Islet Blasted in S. Korea
Pyongyang, May 25 (KCNA) -- The General Federation of Teachers' Organizations in south Korea thrust a written protest to the Japanese embassy in Seoul on May 21 condemning Japan's shameless moves to grab Tok Islet.
The organization charged that the instruction issued by the Japan Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology to describe Tok Islet as part of Japan's territory in the textbooks of the middle schools is aimed at giving the students wrong understanding of history and attaining its political purpose.
It demanded the Japanese government promptly set this right.
The organization declared it would conduct a campaign for disclosing the Japanese attempt to usurp Tok Islet through the teachers' organizations in the world and international organizations in the future.
Halt to Opening of S. Korean Markets to American Beef Demanded
Pyongyang, May 25 (KCNA) -- A candlelight rally against the import of American beef took place at Chonggye Square in Seoul on May 22.
Participating in the rally on the theme of "The people will never get deceived" were members of the south Korean Federation of Peasants Associations, the General Federation of Women Peasants Associations, the Federation of the Poor of south Korea and other civic and public organizations, youth and students and citizens, more than 4,000 in all.
Speakers at the press conference accused the Lee Myung Bak group of making much fuss, conducting "additional negotiations" with the U.S. and making public a "talk to the people" in a bid to tone down the resistance of people of different social standings against the negotiations on the import of American beef.
The "additional negotiations" on the import of American beef have not gone beyond the framework of the April 18 negotiations with the U.S. at all and Lee Myung Bak's "talk to people" is nothing but a jargon as he fooled the people again with a hypocritical apology, they stressed.
Demanding the "government" declare the total nullification of the wrong negotiations on the import of American beef, they warned that the "people would turn their backs on the government which betrayed them."
If the Lee Myung Bak group goes ahead with the import of beef yielding to outsiders, the angry people from all walks of life will regard it as a declaration of war against them and rush toward "Chongwadae" with candlelight in their hands, they stressed.
An art performance was given at the rally to denounce and deride the Lee Myung Bak group's import of American beef.
Meanwhile, civic and public organizations including the People's Measure Council against the Total Opening of south Korean Market to American Beef called a press conference in Seoul on the same day to denounce traitor Lee Myung Bak for his deceptive apology.
Japanese Reactionaries' Moves to Intensify Education in "Dominium over Tok Islet" Denounced
Pyongyang, May 24 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the Central Committee of the Democratic Front for the Reunification of the Fatherland issued a statement on May 23 to denounce the Japanese reactionaries for calling for the intensified education in "dominium over Tok Islet" at primary and middle schools these days.
Terming such undisguised moves of the Japanese reactionaries another unpardonable infringement upon the dignity and sovereignty of the Korean nation and a blatant abuse of justice and historical facts, the statement said:
Tok Islet has always remained part of the inviolable territory of Korea.
This has been proved and recognized not only by the historical facts but by international law. Even geographical books and maps published after the Japanese imperialists occupied Korea by force of arms and maps published for the school education by the Japanese authorities after the Second World War clearly prove that Tok Islet belongs to Korea.
Nevertheless, the Japanese reactionaries have made every desperate effort to grab Tok Islet, making far-fetched assertions whenever an opportunity presented itself. Not satisfied with this, they are working hard to convince even the younger generation that Tok Islet is part of Japan's territory. This patently shows once again what dangerous phase Samurais' wild ambition for reinvasion has reached.
The Japanese reactionaries are the sworn enemy of the Korean nation and other peace-loving people of the world as they are watching for a chance to launch aggression, seized with the wild design for the revival of militarism and keen to educate the young Japanese in the distorted history and the ambition for territorial expansion.
The Japanese reactionaries would be well advised to bear in mind that no matter how vociferously they claim "dominium over Tok Islet" it is nothing but a far-fetched assertion unacceptable to everyone and a daydream.
Seminar on Kim Jong Il's Work Held in Mexico
Pyongyang, May 25 (KCNA) -- A seminar on General Secretary Kim Jong Il's famous work "Giving Priority to Ideological Work Is Essential For Accomplishing Socialism" was held by the Mexican Committee for the Study of Kimilsungism on May 19 on the occasion of the 44th anniversary of the start of his work at the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.
Ramon Jimenez Lopez, President of the Mexican committee, referred to the significance of the seminar and introduced the main contents of the work.
He noted that Kim Jong Il has authored many famous works through his energetic ideological and theoretical activities for more than four decades during which he has led the WPK and under his leadership the WPK has grown to be an invincible party which fully realized the ideological oneness and achieved the single-minded unity of the leader, the party and the masses.
Recalling that the erstwhile Soviet Union and East European countries neglected the ideological work, a life line of socialism, thus yielding to the imperialists' ideological offensive and meeting a doom, the speakers underscored the need to learn from the experience gained by the WPK led by Kim Jong Il in the ideological work and stand up against the imperialists' moves for the ideological and cultural poisoning.
At the end of the seminar its participants watched the Korean film "Respected Comrade Kim Jong Il Is a Great Thinker and Theoretician."
Lee Myung Bak Group's Moves for Confrontation with DPRK under Fire in Kazakhstan
Pyongyang, May 25 (KCNA) -- Kang Sun Ho, chairman of the United Confederation of Koreans in the Republic of Kazakhstan, issued a statement on May 20 blasting the Lee Myung Bak group for pursuing confrontation with the DPRK, thereby driving the north-south relations to the phase of confrontation and war.
The moves of the Lee group for confrontation with the DPRK deterred the north-south relations from making progress towards independent reunification and peace and prosperity under the banner of "By our nation itself" and further strained the situation on the Korean Peninsula, the statement noted, adding that the "policy towards the north" advocated by traitor Lee Myung Bak is aimed at pursuing political and military confrontation with the north in all fields.
The Lee group has driven the situation into an extreme pitch of tension by shipping lots of offensive weapons including missiles and aircraft into south Korea from foreign countries under the pretext of "coping with threat from the north" and escalating military provocations in the West Sea of Korea, thus bringing the clouds of war to hang over the Korean Peninsula, it noted, declaring that all the officials of the United Confederation of Koreans in the Republic of Kazakhstan and compatriots would more dynamically turn out in the nationwide struggle to throw overboard as early as possible the Lee Myung Bak group of traitors hell bent on the moves to provoke a war against the DPRK in collusion with foreign forces while challenging the June 15 era of reunification and achieve the independent and peaceful reunification of the country.
Sri Lankan Preparatory Committee Inaugurated to Mark DPRK Holidays
Pyongyang, May 24 (KCNA) -- The Sri Lankan preparatory committee was inaugurated to mark the 60th anniversary of the DPRK and the 63rd anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea on May 17.
Reggie Ranatunge, chairman of the Sri Lanka-People's Korea Friendship Association, was elected chairman of the committee.
The committee decided to hold various celebrations including a seminar and a photo exhibition on those days.

Contacto de delegados de Norte y Sur de Corea y en ultramar
Kaesong, 23 de mayo (ATCC) -- Tuvo lugar el dia 23 en Kaesong el contacto de los delegados de los comites de las partes de Norte y Sur de Corea y ultramar por la Ejecucion de la Declaracion Conjunta del 15 de Junio.
En el contacto hubo la consulta concerniente al acto del 15 de junio por la reunificacion y fue publicada la comunicacion comun.
Segun el documento, los delegados del Norte y el Sur de Corea y en ultramar decidieron efectuar los dias 15 y 16 de junio en el monte Kumgang la "Conferencia Nacional por la Reunificacion en celebracion del 8 aniversario de la publicacion de la Declaracion Conjunta del 15 de Junio" (sigla: Conferencia Nacional del 15 de Junio por la Reunificacion).
Decidieron contactar de continuo segun la necesidad para solucionar los problemas de trabajo relativos a la citada conferencia.
Campesinos surcoreanos luchan contra importacion de carne de res
Pyongyang, 24 de mayo (ATCC) -- El dia 22 tuvo lugar en Seul la "conferencia nacional de campesinos" contra la importacion de la carne de res de produccion norteamericana.
En la ocasion participaron mas de 15 mil campesinos procedentes de distintas localidades surcoreanas.
Los oradores censuraron que Lee Myung Bak publico una "declaracion al pueblo" relativa a las negociaciones de importacion de la carne de res de produccion norteamericana, lo cual es para concertar a toda costa el "Tratado de Libre Comercio" con EE.UU.
Si se retiran de la lucha contra la importacion de tal carne de res, solo les tocara la muerte, dijeron los oradores y exhortaron a luchar unidos sin esperar la muerte con brazos cruzados.
En la conferencia fueron publicadas 10 reivindicaciones, entre otras, la anulacion completa de las negociaciones de la carne de res, la disculpa de Lee Myung Bak, el castigo al responsable de las negociaciones y el cese de la concertacion del "Tratado de Libre Comercio".
Con anterioridad el "Comite de Medidas Urgentes de Ganaderos y Pesqueros contra la Concertacion del TLC Sur de Corea-Estados Unidos" compuesto de mas de 30 entidades campesinas concedio el dia 20 en Seul una rueda de prensa donde, advirtio que si el "gobierno" promueve por coercion la importacion de la carne de res norteamericana despreciando la voluntad del pueblo, chocara con la resuelta resistencia.
Belicistas surcoreanos intentan participar en ejercicio "Rimpac"
Pyongyang, 24 de mayo (ATCC) -- Los belicistas titeres surcoreanos planean participar en el ejercicio militar conjunto "Rimpac" que tendra lugar en el mar periferico de Hawai entre el 29 de junio y el 31 de julio.
Ya es conocido que "Rimpac" es peligrosisimo entrenamiento belico bajo el liderazgo de Estados Unidos para el bloqueo maritimo contra la Republica Popular Democratica de Corea.
Los belicistas surcoreanos anunciaron que enviarian a esa maniobra militar 2 destructores, submarino, avion de patrulla maritima, helicoptero anti-submarino de sus fuerzas navales y confirmaron tambien la participacion en el ejercicio de tiro.
