She regarded it as her lifelong mission to staunchly safeguard President Kim Il Sung politically, ideologically and with her own life and lived and fought as his lifeguard till the last moments of her life.
Recorded in the glorious history of the President who led the army and the people along an ever-victorious path at the head of the revolution are the heroic feats performed by Kim Jong Suk who staunchly defended him on the forefront in the grimmest period of the Korean revolution.
She covered the President with her body at crucial moments, making herself shields, in such battles as Hongqihe battle and the battle on the outskirts of Dashahe and resolutely defended and upheld his ideas and dignity through a death-defying fight against the renegade of the revolution in the Qingfeng Secret Camp in the period of the anti-Japanese armed struggle.
With a steadfast outlook on the leader, she always devoted her all to his health and safety. She washed his clothes and dried them in her bosom in the biting cold around 40 degrees below zero and made meals for him with all sincerity even in fierce battles with the enemy.

The spirit of devotedly defending the leader which Kim Jong Suk handed down to the Korean people is the most precious, irreplaceable heritage.
It is thanks to this heritage that the slogan "Defend the leadership of the revolution headed by the great Comrade Kim Jong Il at the cost of our lives!" has become the slogan of faith and action of the whole Party, the entire army and all the people and the undisputable loyalty to the leader is throbbing in the ranks of monolithic unity with which the whole army and people long for and follow the leader unanimously.
Kim Jong Suk's Undying Feats in Cause of National Reunification
Pyongyang, September 22 (KCNA) -- Anti-Japanese woman hero Kim Jong Suk performed an undying feat in the cause of national reunification.
She devoted her all to the cause from the first days since the country was partitioned by foreign forces after the liberation of the country on August 15, 1945.
Having kept as her creed from early years that the victory of the revolution and the existence of the fellow countrymen were guaranteed only under the leadership of President Kim Il Sung, she conducted energetic activities for implementing his idea and line on national reunification.
Revolutionaries of south Korea crossed the military demarcation line at the risk of their lives to receive teachings from the President. She implanted his patriotic idea and intention of reunification in their minds as the pillar of the faith and led democratic figures of south Korea along the road of sacred struggle for the country and the nation with warm compatriotism.
Immeasurable was the effort she exerted to bring up the second generation of the revolution as the pillars who would shoulder the cause of national independence.
She called at the Mangyongdae Revolutionary School and other centres for training revolutionary reserves to look after the students with warm affection and directed special attention to the growth of children of south Korean revolutionaries and democratic figures.
She also meticulously guided the women, who had been once humiliated and neglected, so that they would grow up as a powerful force to push one of the two wheels of reunification.
Thanks to her energetic activities for the country's reunification, the Korean people could unite firm around the President, transcending the differences in thoughts, ideals and isms, and the reunification cause could confidently forge ahead with the President's Juche-oriented idea and line as the guideline from the first period of the struggle for achieving it.
