Noting that the "Declaration for Development of North-South Relations and Peace and Prosperity" adopted on Oct. 4, 2007, was fully supported and welcomed everywhere in the world as an action program for comprehensively carrying into practice the June 15 joint declaration, the landmark of Korea's reunification, the resolution said:

Nuclear war exercises and arms buildup ceaselessly conducted by the U.S. imperialists and their followers in and around the Korean Peninsula are seriously endangering the peace and stability of the peninsula and the rest of Northeast Asia.

We strongly demand that the United States put an end to its hostile policy toward the DPRK, replace the Armistice Agreement with a peace accord, discontinue the joint military exercises and arms buildup for aggression in south Korea and immediately remove all its military bases from the Korean Peninsula and its surrounding areas.

The present pro-U.S. conservative forces of south Korea should not resort to confrontation and war moves going against the trend of the times but make policy switchover for reconciliation, cooperation and reunification.

We hold that the countries responsible for the tragic division of the Korean Peninsula should do things helpful to the independent and peaceful reunification of Korea.

We extend full support and solidarity to the Korean people and youth in their just cause to realize the independent and peaceful reunification of the country and build a great prosperous powerful socialist nation.
