Cuban Children's Drawing Exhibition Held

Pyongyang, October 1 (KCNA) -- A Cuban children's drawing exhibition was held at the Mangyongdae Schoolchildren's Palace on Tuesday on the occasion of the 60th birthday of the DPRK. It was co-sponsored by the Central Committee of the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League and the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries. Among those attending the exhibition were Kil Chol Hyok, secretary of the Central Committee of the youth league, and schoolchildren in the city of Pyongyang. Present there on invitation were Cuban Ambassador to the DPRK Jose Manuel Galego Montano and staff members of the embassy. Speeches were made there. Speakers said that the exhibition serves as an important occasion in strengthening friendship between the peoples and children of the two countries. They referred to the DPRK-Cuba friendly relations favorably developing under the deep care of General Secretary Kim Jong Il and Fidel Castro Ruz and Raul Castro Ruz. They said that the exhibition would offer an opportunity to see the Cuban revolution vigorously advancing along the road of socialism and the future of everlasting friendship between the two countries. |
