Pyongyang, October 1 (KCNA) -- The Paekho works of art of the DPRK are attracting keen attention at home and abroad. The works created by veteran painters of the Korea Paekho Trading Corperation are clear in individualities, bold in strokes and exquisite in depiction. Typical masterpieces are the Korean paintings "Tiger in Mt. Paektu" and "Mt. Paektu in February" and the jewel picture "Sunrise on Mt. Paektu" by Pak Chang Sop who is Kim Il Sung Prize laureate, Labour Hero and People's Artist. These works valued at national treasures render flawless ideological and artistic depiction of the immortal greatness of the illustrious commanders shining with Mt. Paektu, the sacred mountain of revolution. The Korean paintings "Lakeside in Autumn " and "Janggo Dance" and the oils "Moonlit Night at Home Village", "Blue Sky" and "Korean Bow" illustrative of novel idea and peculiar techniques well show the features of ever developing Juche-oriented fine art. Landscape paintings including the jewel pictures "Snowscape at Dwarf- Pine-Tree Post", "Bright Lights on River Jangja", "Echoes of Ulrim Falls" and "Fairyland of Poman-ri" are consummate delineation of the validity and vitality of Songun politics of the Workers' Party of Korea. The painters of the corporation have also created lots of large panoramic pictures intensively showing histories, cultures and traditions of various countries, among them "History of Building Sea Dams in the Netherlands" and "Olympics of Ancient Greece". After seeing a Paekho art show held in the building of the European Parliament in Brussels some time ago, public figures, art experts and lovers from different countries were unstinting in their praises of the high level of the Korean art. |
