Referring to the fact that Kim Il Sung devoted great pains to found the revolutionary party under the complicated situation right after the liberation of the country, he said: Under the distinguished and seasoned leadership of the President the WPK developed into an invincible party which is strong in the revolutionary character and sense of organization and discipline and enjoys absolute support and trust of the popular masses.

Hammer, sickle and writing brush inscribed on the emblem of the party clearly show that the WPK is a revolutionary party of the working class and a mass party of the working people, he said, adding:

Guided by the great leader and the great party, the Korean people could work world-startling miracles one after another and build a socialist power shining with independence.

The progressive political parties of the world aspiring after socialism look up to the WPK as a beacon of hope.

All successes achieved in the DPRK under the leadership of the Party have given strength and encouragement to the world's progressive people struggling for a new society.

Today the WPK has further strengthened and developed into an ever-victorious party thanks to the wise leadership of Kim Jong Il.
