It is the unshakable will and determination of the WPK to achieve the independent and peaceful reunification of the country without fail by carrying through the behests of the President, true to General Secretary Kim Jong Il's idea on national reunification and his leadership, the article says, and goes on:

Kim Jong Il formulated as the three charters for national reunification the three principles for national reunification, the ten-point programme for the great unity of the whole nation and the proposal for founding the Democratic Federal Republic of Koryo set forth by the President and has led the Korean nation's reunification movement at every step to serve for carrying out the three charters.

The important and principled problem in achieving the national reunification at present is to defend and implement the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration to the letter.

It is the principled stand of the WPK constant in the future to achieve the national reunification in an independent and peaceful way by the concerted efforts of the Korean nation in the spirit of the above-said declarations.

The WPK's will for national reunification is manifested in the fact that it has consistently pursued the all-embracing politics based on patriotism, giving top priority to the national reconciliation and unity.

The all-embracing politics of the WPK is the politics based on the noble human love for everyone and the most widespread patriotic politics that closely rallies all the classes and strata of the nation for the common cause of the country and the nation.

The WPK will as ever inspiringly encourage all the Koreans in the north, the south and abroad to turn out as one in the patriotic movement for reunification true to the behests of the President and thus realize the historic cause of national reunification, the supreme desire of the nation, without fail.
