The appeal said that the above-said declarations mean an independent declaration of the nation and a declaration on peaceful reunification as they call for independently and peacefully carving out the Korean nation's destiny by the concerted efforts of the Koreans.

Traitor Lee Myung Bak is trying to check the movement for reunification of national historic significance, a movement for putting an end to the antagonism and confrontation, leftovers of the ghost in the era of the Cold War, and achieving independence, peace and prosperity common to the nation through reconciliation and confidence, the appeal said, adding that his moves against the June 15 and October 4 declarations are touching off bitter anger among all compatriots.

To eliminate the sycophantic and treacherous forces keen to violate and stamp out the dignity of the Korean nation represents the spirit prevailing in the June 15 era of reunification as it is the task the fulfillment of which brooks not a moment's delay, the appeal said.

We can never remain an onlooker to Lee's acts against reunification, the appeal noted, calling upon all the Koreans to unite under the uplifted banner of the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration and turn out in the nationwide struggle to force the above-said regime to step down by their concerted efforts.
