They, with a firm faith that the Juche idea is the life-line of man-centered socialism and the source of invincible strength, are implementing the Party's lines and policies to the letter in the revolutionary spirit of self-reliance.

Unfathomably grave were the economic difficulties the DPRK had undergone in recent years.

They, however, withstood all ordeals and difficulties with firm trust in the Party's lines and policies and in their strength.

They have carried on such gigantic nature-remaking projects as large scale land re-zoning and waterway construction and erected many monumental edifices including modern factories and production bases in different places of the country, thus opening up a prospect for a new leap in the building of an economic power.

The Party's line on giving priority to ideology, arms and science and technology has been embodied in all fields of the revolution and construction and splendid successes have been made in the implementation of the Party's policies of bringing about drastic changes in agriculture and light industry. This stark reality clearly shows how strong are the will of the Korean army and people to implement the Party's policies to the letter and their revolutionary spirit of self-reliance.

The Korean people are defending firmly the socialist ideological position and mode of life.

They have armed themselves solidly with the great Juche idea and keenly realized the superiority of socialism, standing over the grave ordeals of history. They thus have their hearts filled with the faith that their leader, ideology, cause and system are excellent.

They live and work, helping each other and leading each other forward, full of confidence in and great hope for the future under the collectivist slogan "One for all and all for one!" This is their lofty spiritual world and fighting trait.

The Korean people will achieve an endless prosperity of the country and nation under the uplifted banner of independence.
