Pyongyang, October 8 (KCNA) -- The European Regional Headquarters of the National Alliance for the Country's Reunification (Pomminryon) in a statement on Oct. 4 urged the Lee Myung Bak regime to immediately roll back its anti-reunification policy quite contrary to the June 15 era of reunification and the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration. The statement held that the "National Security Law" (NSL), leftover of the Cold War era, is more harshly applied in south Korea than ever before. The racket of unreasonable and indiscriminate suppression being kicked up by the Lee Myung Bak regime in a premeditated manner under the pretext of "liquidating the force behind the candlelight demonstrations" has touched off bitter wrath among all the people, the statement said. The Lee regime's anti-reunification moves aimed to turn back the clock of history are bound to meet a miserable end in face of resistance of all Koreans, the statement said, urging it to abolish the NSL, the most evil law, and unconditionally set free pro-reunification patriotic figures. The U.S. Regional Headquarters of Pomminryon and the U.S. Regional Committee for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration in their statements on Oct. 2 branded the Lee group as a ferocious undemocratic, treacherous and anti-reunification force as it considers fellow countrymen in the north as "enemies" and suppresses anyone who sides with the north on charge of being "a criminal". |
