The exhibition showcased inventions and new technological achievements made by officials, scientists, technicians and other working people from across the country in various fields including power, coal, metal industry and railway transport through mass technical renovation drive.

During the exhibition measures were taken to introduce scientific and technological achievements for the substantial development of the nation's science and technology. Its period witnessed technological exchange, the distribution of products appreciated as intellectual properties and technical information service.

Present there were Ro Tu Chol, vice-premier of the Cabinet, other officials concerned and scientists, technicians and other working people.

Pyon Yong Rip, president of the State Academy of Sciences, in a speech made at the closing ceremony called on the scientists and technicians to devote all their wisdom and energies to developing new technologies with ardent patriotism and thus positively contribute to the prosperity of the country.
