He in the statement said that the WPK has earned fame as an ever-victorious party that has achieved the single-minded unity of all members of society for the first time in human history.

There were parties with long history in the world but in view of the past and present it is only the WPK that has achieved the steel-strong unity and solidarity by rallying all people in one mind, it said, and continued:

I think that the unity of a nation depends on the distinguished political caliber of the leader of a party and his popular political idea.

Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the WPK, set it as his political idea to believe in people as in Heaven and has shaped policies by reflecting their wishes, always finding himself among them to ensure that everything serves them.

Under his wise leadership all members of the society have formed an organizational and integral whole centering on the leader based on the monolithic ideology and this has developed into single-minded unity based on the sense of moral obligation in the DPRK.

The socialist cause in the DPRK will make steady victorious progress despite whatever storm and stress thanks to the single-minded unity stronger than a nuclear weapon.
