Pyongyang, October 10 (KCNA) -- The Solidarity for Implementing South-North Joint Declaration of south Korea launched a sit-in strike on situation to frustrate the suppression of candlelight demonstrations and the case faked up against the Solidarity for Implementing South-North Joint Declaration and abolish the "National Security Law" in Seoul on Oct. 6.
Prior to the strike, the solidarity held a press conference.
Speakers at the press conference exposed the fact that the security authorities in conspiracy with conservative media spread false report that the solidarity illegally ran a nursery and educated even children in leftist idea, in a bid to increase suppression of the solidarity.
Such reckless acts are anti-reunification moves aimed to obliterate the progressive pro-reunification and patriotic organizations and nullify the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration as they were perpetrated as an escalation of the suppression of candlelight demonstrations.
A press release was read out. It declared that the sit-in strikers of the solidarity would carry on the struggle against the Lee Myung Bak regime's suppression of candlelight demonstrations by holding meetings and conducting demonstrations, signature campaigns and information services and join the people in their efforts to smash the schemes against the solidarity.
