Pyongyang, October 11 (KCNA) -- A meeting and a seminar took place in Nepal, a meeting in Italy and a seminar in Mongolia on Oct. 3 and 4 on the occasion of the 63rd anniversary of the founding of the Workers' Party of Korea. Displayed in the venues of the functions were works of the peerlessly great men, photographs showing immortal feats performed in leading the party construction, books and photographs introducing Songun Korea. Speeches were made at the functions. C.P. Mainali, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Nepal Communist Party (Marxist-Leninist), said that the birthday of the WPK is, indeed, a significant and glorious day for the political parties and people of Nepal. He stressed that the WPK founded by President Kim Il Sung is a great party with a more than half a century-long history, a wealth of experience in struggle and traditions shining with victory, adding that many progressive political parties and people of the world are earnestly learning from the experience of the WPK. Michele Capuano, director of the Public Relations Department of the Razio Branch of the Communist Party of Italy, hoped that victory would always be in store for the WPK and the Korean people in their struggle to ensure peace and security on the Korean Peninsula, defend the socialist cause and achieve the country's reunification. D. Bilegt, general secretary of the Federation of Peace and Friendship Organizations of Mongolia, and Ch. Surenjav, chairman of the Mongolia-Korea Friendship Society, stressed that this year marks the 20th anniversary of Kim Il Sung's visit to Mongolia, the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries and the 63rd anniversary of the founding of the WPK, noting that the WPK has covered a road of victory and glory under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Il. Messages of greetings to Kim Jong Il were adopted at the meetings held in Nepal and Mongolia. |
