Pyongyang, October 13 (KCNA) -- The group of the Grand National Party of south Korea shortly ago in the "inspection of the administration" of the Ministry of Unification let loose such a string of balderdash as playing down the historic significance of the October 4 declaration, claiming that it is peppered with "agreed points" which failed to get "sympathy from people". They went the lengths of asserting that the preceding regime "unilaterally agreed" on the projects requiring a huge "budget" and letting loose the vituperation that it is "a matter to be prosecuted." Rodong Sinmun Monday observes this in a signed commentary. It goes on: What they uttered is little short of an open declaration of their intention to nullify the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration and stand in head-on confrontation with the north. The reckless remarks made by the GNP gentries as a provocation to the north in blatant defiance of the October 4 declaration are a direct product of traitor Lee Myung Bak's policy of confrontation with the north. The reality clearly proves that although Lee is behaving ridiculously, paying lip-service to "co-existence and co-prosperity", "sincerity" and "openhearted dialogue" they are, in actuality, nothing but sheer lies and deception and a farce to hide his anti-reunification nature. The GNP is running wild in the confrontation with the north and the anti-reunification racket as a hand-raising machine serving the traitorous clique, touching off towering hatred and anger of all the Koreans. The desperate efforts made by the Lee group to block the advance of the June 15 era of reunification, defiling even the north-south joint declaration, will only precipitate their own self-destruction. The Lee group would be well advised to behave themselves, cogitating about the catastrophic impact their reckless anti-reunification acts will have on the inter-Korean relations and the prospect of the nation. |
