Its opening performance took place at the Yun I Sang Concert Hall on Wednesday.

The concert was presented by artistes of a national art troupe and the orchestras of the Yun I Sang Music Institute and Pyongyang Kim Won Gyun Conservatory.

It was appreciated by Minister of Culture Kang Nung Su, officials concerned and creators and artistes in the field of culture and arts.

Among the audience were the widow of Yun I Sang and his daughter, a visiting group of the "Yun I Sang Peace Foundation" of south Korea headed by Director Sin Kye Ryun and overseas compatriots staying in the homeland.

The concert began with female solo "The moment of biding farewell drawing near", the song from the revolutionary opera "The Flower Girl". Its repertoire included "Halo around the moon", the lyric song composed by Yun in the early period of his activities, duet for cello and harp, No. 2 of quintet for clarinet and string quartet and "Carpet" for string music done by Yun and other numbers.

The concert will last till Oct. 17.
