Pyongyang, October 16 (KCNA) -- The emergency measure committee for frustrating the retaliatory crackdown upon participants in candlelight actions, moves for scrapping the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration and a plot to fake up a case for suppressing the Solidarity for Implementing the South-North Joint Declaration in south Korea on Oct. 10 issued an appeal to the compatriots at home and abroad.
The appeal said that Lee Myung Bak is becoming evermore desperate in his moves to totally negate the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration and the anti-reunification acts and confrontation with fellow countrymen.
The appeal condemned the Lee dictatorial regime for intensifying than ever before the suppression of the progressive forces aspiring after independent reunification under the pretext of "security", crying out for "reexamining the October 4 declaration" and letting loose such confrontational outbursts without hesitation as "there would be no advance without eliminating pro-north leftist forces".
The Lee group should no longer be allowed to persist in its anti-reunification acts, the appeal said, urging all the pro-reunification and patriotic forces to carry on the struggle to support and implement the above-said declarations by the concerted efforts of the Koreans.
It called on all Koreans in the south and the north and overseas and reunification movement forces on this land to make a more dynamic advance for reunification despite any difficulties and trials, more firmly upholding the said declarations and unite closer for independent reunification, peace and prosperity of the country.
