At the press conference speakers blasted the minister for having justified the diversion of the funds for the upkeep of the U.S. forces in south Korea to the purpose of the transfer of their bases.

Accusing the Lee Myung Bak "government" of getting tight-lipped about the wrongdoings perpetrated by the U.S., while telling the people to abide by the "law" and "principle," they urged the above-said minister to step down at once as he is utterly indifferent to the people to meet the U.S. demands.

A press release read out at the press conference said that it is quite unreasonable for him to shut eyes to the U.S. wrongdoings without any legal ground or procedure.

If the assertion of the minister of defence is justified, a special agreement on sharing the expenses for the upkeep of the U.S. forces will be a channel for providing funds for the transfer of the U.S. military bases, it charged.

It held that the minister of defence has no qualification as he takes the lead in bringing back the period of the past military dictatorship and meeting the interests of the U.S.
