The statement noted that the said proposal set forth by President Kim Il Sung is the only and realistic one for the reunification of the Korean Peninsula where the Korean nation of the same blood and culture have lived separated for a long time under different systems with different ideas.

If the proposal is realized, the Korean people will be able to make free visits, the separated families reunite again and Korea would develop into a great independent power, the statement said, and went on:

Lee Myung Bak acting as a flunkey of the U.S. without independence is bound to meet destruction along with Bush and capitalism.

Now is the time to completely wipe out the U.S. imperialists and all their lackeys and intensify the struggle for Korea's reunification, the statement stressed, calling for waging a dynamic struggle to found the DFRK.
