Japanese Reactionaries' Moves to Grab Tok Islet under Fire

Pyongyang, October 17 (KCNA) -- Some days ago, the Japanese reactionaries at a Cabinet meeting asserted that Tok Islet is "part of inalienable territory of Japan". Minju Joson Friday carries a signed commentary in this regard. It says: The Japanese reactionaries' claim to Tok Islet merits more serious attention as it was made at a time when the hostile moves toward the DPRK have become all the more undisguised. This proves that the Cabinet of Aso, too, still adopts it as an important state policy to isolate and stifle the DPRK and expand territory as the preceding governments did. It is a self-evident truth that Tok Islet, part of inviolable territory of the Korean nation, can never become "territory of Japan" no matter how desperately the Japanese reactionaries assert that the islet belongs to Japan. The Japanese reactionaries make far-fetched assertion that the islet belongs to Japan although they clearly know that the islet is part of inviolable territory of the Korean nation. Lurking behind this is their sinister intention to fan up militarism and the idea of reinvasion among rising generation by imbuing them with the conception of "dominium over Tok Islet" and, at the same time, secure a pretext for aggression of Korea by sparking off territorial dispute and thus provoke wars against Korea and other Asian countries for reinvasion. Japan's moves to grab the islet are expression of its wild ambition to convert it into a military power and launch overseas expansion, and a prelude to reinvasion. The DPRK is ready to meet any challenge of Japan. The Japanese reactionaries would be well advised to behave with discretion, clearly bearing in mind that their territorial claim will only precipitate their destruction, the commentary warns. |
