Artistes of national art troupes performed at theatres in Pyongyang.

Artistes of the National Symphony Orchestra staged a concert at the Moranbong Theater. Its repertoire included instrumental music and vocal music including piano concerto "Song Devoted to Comrade Kim Jong Il", orchestral music "Thunder on Jong Il Peak" and "Rich Harvest Comes to the Chongsan Plain" and string orchestra for pizzicato "This Country Is So Good".

Meanwhile, artistes of the State National Art Troupe staged a music and dance performance at the Open-air Theater of the Youth Park. Their program included female quartet "It Is October", female solo "O, Mother Party" and chorus "Let Us Continue Our Revolution under the Banner of Songun".

The art performances deeply impressed the audiences as they helped deepen the reverence for President Kim Il Sung and General Secretary Kim Jong Il who demonstrated the dignity and might of Songun Korea to the whole world by successfully applying the idea of anti-imperialism, independence and socialism advocated by the DIU to the more than 80-year-long history of the Korean revolution.

An oratorical performance was given at the State Drama Theatre, bringing joy and optimism to the citizens significantly celebrating the above-said day.

Similar art performances were given at theatres in local areas including Kangwon Province, North and South Hamgyong provinces, North Hwanghae Province and North Phyongan Province.
