Rodong Sinmun Sunday says this in a signed commentary.

It goes on:

The Lee Myung Bak group's reckless suppression of the pro-reunification democratic forces is a frontal challenge to the south Korean people who desire new politics and new life, and a crime against the nation and reunification aimed to prevent the trend of the June 15 era of reunification from advancing toward independent reunification, peace and prosperity and push the inter-Korean relations into catastrophe. Therefore, the crime can never be pardoned in any case.

The traitorous group's suppression of the democratic forces standing for reunification is, in essence, a premeditated fascist act to mercilessly repress and stamp out activities of the south Korean reunification movement organizations and progressives by linking them with the north under the pretext of "wiping out pro-north leftist forces".

The group is groundlessly terming the pro-reunification patriotic activities of the south Korean progressive organizations and figures "enemy benefiting activities" conducted at the instructions of the north. This is a far-fetched assertion which can convince no one.

The south Korean National Intelligence Service crafted even such farce as "spy ring case" in a bid to do harm to the Solidarity for Implementing the South-North Joint Declaration. This fact clearly shows how reckless the fascist group has become in its foolish moves to stamp out at random all the activities of the south Korean reunification movement organizations by branding them as "pro-north leftist forces" and their activities as "enemy-benefiting ones".

It is as clear as noonday that if the group is allowed to commit the crime of mercilessly suppressing the just patriotic activities for reunification of the south Korean people by linking them with the north, all the democratic forces for reunification will be destroyed and the fascist dictatorship revive in south Korea and this will further escalate the confrontation between the north and the south and hinder the implementation of the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration and the October 4 declaration in the end, the commentary concludes.
