Pyongyang, October 22 (KCNA) -- The Liaison Council for Denuclearization and Peace in Northeast Asia and Normalization of Relations between Japan and DPRK submitted a written request to the Japanese Foreign Ministry on Oct. 8 demanding the Japanese government build confidence between the two countries by lifting sanctions against the DPRK and rendering humanitarian assistance to it, and resume the talks for the normalization of relations as early as possible.
Among those present at the action for the submission of the request were Co-Representatives Sumiko Shimizu and Koichi Ishizaka and Deputy Secretary Generals Hirogazu Kitagowa and Takashi Isogawa of the council.
