Pyongyang, October 22 (KCNA) -- A candlelight rally was held in Seoul under the sponsorship of the "Emergency Measure Committee for Probe into Truth of Terrorism against Citizens who Participated in Candlelight Actions" of south Korea on October 18. It was attended by at least 4,000 citizens and students including members of the political parties and civic and social organizations. Speakers at the rally recalled that of late the Lee Myung Bak group's fascist suppression of the participants of candlelight actions and the police and prosecution authorities' carrot-and-stick actions pursuant to its policy and moves of the ultra-rightist conservative organizations to rewrite history textbooks are getting evermore undisguised. They called for intensifying the anti-"government" struggle. They expressed their will to eliminate the remnants of the pro-U.S. dictatorship at any cost by escalating the struggle against Lee and conservatism. A resolution on actions read out there accused traitor Lee and the conservative groups of trying to cover up their treacherous and unpopular acts with the outdated veil of "ideological confrontation." The resolution called on the people from all walks of life to turn out in candlelight actions to judge traitor Lee and ultra-rightist conservative organizations threatening the right of the citizens to existence and keen to eliminate the progressive forces. |
