It goes on:

As already publicly known, the blame for the deadlocked inter-Korean relations entirely rests with the Lee Myung Bak group.

Citing the demeanor of Kim Ha Jung as an example, the commentary notes:

As soon as he was appointed to the above-said post, Kim called for "adjusting the speed, scope and modality for the development of the inter-Korean relations" depending on the "progress made in the settlement of the nuclear issue." He blustered that "the Kaesong Industrial Zone should not be expanded unless the nuclear issue is solved."

What extent his idea of confrontation with compatriots has reached is well illustrated by the fact that he refused to attend an event for commemorating the first anniversary of the publication of the Oct. 4 declaration but made his appearance at a "ceremony commemorating the Day of the 'ROK' Army."

It is the unanimous wishes and aspiration of all compatriots to thoroughly implement the said declaration whose validity and vitality have been proved in practice in order to further develop the inter-Korean relations and achieve the independent reunification and peace and prosperity.

No matter what a spate of sophism Kim dares try to lay the blame for the deteriorated inter-Korean relations at the door of others, no one will be taken in by it. His outbursts will only touch off the resentment of the nation and precipitate his own self-destruction.

The Lee Myung Bak group will not be able to go scot-free after going frantic with the racket of confrontation with the north, behaving contrary to the people's mindset and swimming against the trend of the times. The group will have to pay a dear price for their crimes.
